Adorable Owls!!!

Posted on

Sale-A-Bration is in full swing and I have been having a lot of fun creating! One of the first cards I made was this cute card using the Sale-A-Bration Adorable Owls Stamp Set that you can earn for FREE with a $50 order!

Adorable Owls Sale-A-Bration Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving these shades of orange and coral together and that cute little owl who is ready to party! You could always mix up the paper patterns/colors for any occasion which makes this card even more versatile and fabulous!

I started with a Pale Papaya card base measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Then I added a piece of Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper ($100 Level Sale-A-Bration Item) measuring 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ to the left side. For the focal point, I die cut a scallop rectangle from the Scalloped Contour Dies and layered another piece of Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper (3″ x 3-1/2″) behind it. This gives a little peak of the paper on the sides but not the top and bottom!

The owl and the greeting were stamped in Sahara Sand Ink. Then I colored in the Owl with Stampin’ Blends – Pumpkin Pie for the beak and feet. Pool Party for the eyes. Crumb Cake for the owl body and then Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral for the party hat. Again, there are so many options for coloring the owl and the party hat to coordinate with your color scheme or owl preference! What colors would you pick???

Check out the supplies listed below! Don’t forget that you can earn the Adorable Owls Stamp Set and the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper for FREE with Sale-A-Bration now till the end of February!

Evergreen Trees!!!

Posted on

Evergreen Trees come in all shapes and sizes which is why this card is super fun! I used the 3 different sizes of trees from the Trees For Sale Stamp Set and 3 different color combinations! Check it out!

Evergreen Trees Trees For Sale Stampin Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You might look at this card and think WHOA with the colors but there are some trees out there that are rather blue looking instead of green! I also love the color variations with this card! It does get rather tricking having 5 ink pads out on your craft table though. Be very careful which ink pad you are tapping the stamp into! LOL

Evergreen Trees Color Options:

Shades of Blues & Greens, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the largest tree, I used Soft Sea Foam for the base and Pear Pizzazz for the detailed image. Next, I used Pool Party for the base of the medium tree and Coastal Cabana for the detailed image. On the small tree, I used Soft Succulent stamped off once for the base and full strength for the detailed image. You could also pair Soft Succulent with Evening Evergreen! TIP: Start with the largest tree first and work your way down. This way you have plenty of room for the big tree and can fill in with the smaller ones.

Christmas Evergreen Tree Greeting Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another sample of the card but I didn’t stamp the background of the card base with the little snowflakes. In a way, I like it because the other card seems very busy but then I also kind of think this one looks a little plain. Which one do you prefer – snowflake background or not?!? Let me know in the comments below!

If you would like to make this Evergreen Trees card, check out the supplies listed below! Want to see this in action? Check out this video!

October Paper Pumpkin 2022!

Posted on

The October Paper Pumpkin 2022 was AMAZING! I can’t believe how much detail and layers and fabulousness was in this kit! The one for sure took me longer than 30 minutes.

October Paper Pumpkin 2022, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I think this one was my favorite of the 3 styles! The kit created a total of 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. The layers and details are just amazing. I did mess up on stamping one of the santas but that’s okay! Stampin’ Up provided santa faces but also all of the letters of JOY so I just used the O in place of my messed up santa! Thank you, Stampin’ Up!

Ho Ho Ho Santa Christmas Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Another reason I am loving this kit is that I don’t typically purchase Santa stamp sets. I love them but I seem to be more drawn to ornaments, snowflakes, trees, etc. BUT NOW I have a Santa in my stamp collection! Paper Pumpkin always pushes me outside the box with color combinations, stamps, and even techniques! Loving this window look too!

Stampin Up All Inclusive Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The November Paper Pumpkin kit coordinates with this October Paper Pumpkin 2022 kit but it focuses on gift tags and packaging. TODAY is the last day to get signed up for the November Kit so don’t wait! Click here to get signed up! You can try it out for 1 month or a few months or a few years! It’s all up to you! Paper Pumpkin also makes great gifts too! You can get the kit and give that or gift Pre-Paid Subscriptions!

Christmas Gift Tags!!!

Posted on

Is it all about the gift or the gift packaging?!?! For my regular presents, I don’t tend to add a decorated tag. In fact, I usually write the name in the fold on the end and have no tag. BUT I love to create fun Christmas Gift Tags for neighbor gifts and teacher gifts!

Christmas Gift Tags Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Stampin’ Up! Christmas Gifting Kit is super cute and simple. It makes 3 each of these 3 tags and there are tons of supplies leftover. These tags have a little pocket on the backside. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what that pocket is for. Is it for money? A Gift Card? Seems a little small for a gift card. Thoughts?!?!

Christmas Gifting Kit Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

My favorite thing about these tags is the whole peek-a-boo look with the die cut tree, star, and deer and then the printed pocket tag in the bag peeking through. I love it! BONUS: Those die cut images can then be used for additional tags.

Alternative Christmas Gifting Kit Options, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look what I created with the leftover pieces and some Basic White Cardstock. I used the Very Best Trio Punch for some added detail and a slot for the ribbon! How amazing is that?!?! So the Christmas Gifting Kit creates 9 tags but I easily created an additional 9! Woot Woot!

All the Fall Colors!!!

Posted on

The Fall colors this year are just stunning. Those shades of yellow and green into oranges and then the POP of red! I love it all!!! Here I did a little Fall coloring with Blending Brushes!

Ombre Fall Colors with Blending Brushes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

First, start with the lightest color and blend the Crushed Curry on the bottom and up about 1/2 way. Next, take Pumpkin Pie and blend in the middle. Work you way down into the Crushed Curry and up about 3/4 of the way! Finally, using Cajun Craze blend from the edge into the Pumpkin Pie. TIP: Always start your blending brush off of your project and then slide onto it. Work in a circular motion

Fall Leaves Thinking of You Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Once you have the background complete, simply stamp an image over the top in Memento Black Ink! I used a few leaves and a greeting on the bottom! You could always add in some acorns and different types of leaves. You could also do this same design with other colors and stamp flowers, animals, party hats, etc. This card design is perfect for all year long and any occasion!

If you would like to see this Fall Colors Blending Technique in action, check out my video tutorial below!

September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Posted on

The September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit has me all ready to go for Halloween! Since it’s not my favorite holiday, I love how this kit takes care of all of my needs with some stamps to use for a few cards and treats to make for family. Always shooting for Auntie of the Year! 🙂

September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my favorite because it was the easiest! LOL Just being honest! Plus I am really loving purple for Halloween. It’s a nice change and I love purple! TIP: Watch this video to figure out how to create the boxes for this kit. They are not really boxes but drawers that slide into the decorated sleeve. Once I figured that out, it was super easy from there on!

Halloween Treat Boxes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one was my second favorite….although I’m not so sure about the plaid! It’s so many colors and kinda weird. I always think of plaid as like blues, greens, and reds! Apparently I need to branch out more! LOL

Spooky Spider Treat Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This treat box is super cute but it was a bit of a pain. Trying to add adhesive dots on that spider web so it would hold on was a bit tedious. Just saying. LOL I do love the look though! Which one is your favorite?!?! Let me know in the comments below!

Don’t forget that you can sign up for Paper Pumpkin and join in the fun by clicking here! Also, Paper Pumpkin makes really good gifts too because it is all inclusive! I love it!!!

Did you love the September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit?! Did you make treat boxes or cut up the pieces for making cards?!?

Halloween One Sheet Wonder!

Posted on

I’m not a huge Halloween fan but I do like to make a few cards to send to family. This Halloween One Sheet Wonder is perfect for creating just enough cards and using every inch of the Designer Paper!

Halloween One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I added Glimmer Washi Tape in every other strip of the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper for a fabulus background! Add the Washi Tape to the full sheet of 12″ x 12″ and then cut it into 4″ x 12″ strips. Then take each strip and cut it into 2 pieces measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then cut the leftover piece in half to use as a decoration on the inside of the card! BAM Used every inch of the paper – One Sheet Wonder!

Halloween Spiders Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The greeting and spider stamp are from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit! Since I’m not a huge fan of Halloween I like to use the Paper Pumpkin stamps rather than purchasing another Halloween Set! I hope you try out this Halloween One Sheet Wonder so you can whip up some cute cards to send out this month!

Rustic Harvest!!!

Posted on

I am still a bit surprised it is September already. Harvest hasn’t officially started yet at least with my family farm so I think that is why! It seems that begins later and later each year. When I was kid, it always started at my birthday which is the end of August! Either way Fall is here as the temps are dropping and the leaves are changing so I have started playing with the Rustic Harvest Suite!

Rustic Harvest Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is one of the cards that we will be creating for the September Online Card Class. There is a total of 5 cards all using the Rustic Harvest Suite from the July – December Mini Catalog! The detail in the pumpkins and that fun floral piece are what makes me love this Suite! I used lots of Linen Thread on this class too! It’s just the perfect thing for a rustic Fall look, don’t you think?!?! Be sure to get signed up for this class here!

September Online Card Class!

Fall Pumpkins September Online Card Class, www.LaurasStampPad.com

One of my other favorite things about the Hello Harvest Stamp Set is the fun little images like the line and dots image above. How cute and fun is that to decorate the inside of the card, the envelope, or even the border on the front of the card!?!? It’s so simple and easy but adds so much to the project. Also, if you are thinking…ohhhh how do I get it straight or I would mess that up…..STOP right there. I thought those same things but just went for it and yes it is off but it also doesn’t matter. It looks fabulous and it’s not noticable. BONUS! I love images like that!

Remember that you can watch the Online Card Class for FREE on YouTube or Facebook LIVE on Friday, September 23rd at 7:30 p.m. CT. If you would like to stamp along you can always purchase the PDF Tutorial and/or the pre-cut card packet! Click here for all of the detail and how to get signed up! See you there for the Rustic Harvest Online Stamp Class!
