Dragonfly Garden!!!

I wasn’t super drawn to the Dragonfly Garden Suite but I received it FREE with a Virtual Event that I attended with Stampin’ Up! Gotta love the free stuff and perks of being a demonstrator!!! So I got out the Dragonfly Garden Bundle (stamps & punch) to play and realized it’s really the Designer Paper I’m not a huge fan of right now. Pairing this bundle with the Oh So Ombre Sale-A-Bration Paper and I’M IN LOVE!!!! <3

I think it was the bold colors that I was missing. Speaking of color, I never thought I would love these colors until I started playing with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper – Granny Apple Green, Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay, and Rococo Rose. There’s that Rococo Rose again that I’m loving right now!

For these cards, I started with a Basic Black card base and 2 pieces of Basic White (4″ x 5-1/4″). One of the pieces I stamped a greeting in the lower right corner for the front. The other piece is for the inside and I decorated that with another image from the stamp set and another designer paper square!

You can see that I used a strip of the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper measuring 1-1/2″ x 6″ which got me 4 little 1-1/2″ squares! I used 3 of them on the front and then I cut the 4th one diagonally for the inside. At first, I was going to use that 4th one for something else but then tried it out on the inside and FELL IN LOVE! It’s soooo cute on the inside as triangles.

Next, the fabulous focal point on the front is the Dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink and then stamped the “fuzzy background” image in Bermuda Bay (or the coordinating color for that card). NOTE: The fuzzy background image is not meant to line up perfectly but to just give a touch of color to the image so just stamp and go. No need to find the perfect way to line it up! The dragonfly is added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then I added a few Rhinestones. I actually colored the Rhinestones with Stampin’ Blends to get a matching color! How cool is that?!?!?

If you want to recreate this card, check out the supplies listed below! Also, come back on Tuesday to see another fabulous card using the rest of the 6″ x 6″ piece of Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper!!!!

Happy Stampin’
