March 2023 Paper Pumpkin!!!

The March 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit was so fresh and fun! I love the pops of gold foil, the simple plants and uplifting greetings!!! This kit also came with 2 stamp sets which was extra fun! Paper Pumpkin is 10 years old! Woot Woot!

March 2023 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I think this one is my favorite mostly because of the greeting! This would make a great Mother’s Day Card but also any time. I feel like I could give this to a fellow Mom friend to brighten her day. It could be a birthday card for any of the women in my life. There are lots of ways to use this card!

Gold Polka Dots March Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is my second favorite because I love polka dots! TIP: When I added the flower pot, I actually put a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional at the bottom of the pot so it would stay level with the popped up label. Then I added the glue dots at the top of the pot to adhere to the popped up label!

Plants on a Bookshelf, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay, I have to say, this is not my least favorite card. I love this one too but it just happens to be the final card in the kit. I love the whole bookshelf concept and all the pinks and purples with that hint of gold foil.

Which card is your favorite from the March 2023 Paper Pumpkin?!? Let me know in the comments below! Also, don’t forget to sign up for the April Kit before the 10th! Click here to get started!

All The Layers!

Posted on

You all know I love bright colors and flowers! Here I created a card that is just that and I just want to make a million of them! It’s actually really easy and a fun way to use Designer Paper! Check it out with all the layers!

All the Layers Hues of Happiness, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it just stunning?!?! Are you ready for all the measurements to layer together?!?!

Daffodil Delight – 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, Melon Mambo – 4″ x 5-1/4″, Daffodil Delight – 10″ x 3-3/4″, scored at 3″ and 8″. All of these pieces are layered onto each other! Then the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper measures 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ for the top piece and 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ for the bottom piece! You could use the same pattern for these 2 pieces or use coordinating pieces.

For the greeting, I used the amazing Something Fancy Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I love how the dies have layering labels! There is nothing better than a good label set and even better when they layer for a fabulous look like this!

Fun Fold Hues of Happiness, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This inside greeting is like the best ever. I love it so much because it’s so perfect to send to someone to brighten there day! This greeting could be stamped inside every card in my opinion!

I hope you enjoyed this card with all the layers! It’s so beautiful and easy to create! Try it out!

Gold Foil One Sheet Wonder!

Posted on

There is something about Gold and Navy that just looks stunning!!! Check out this fun Gold Foil One Sheet Wonder card that I created! It uses the NEW Naturally Gilded Specialty Designer Paper that came out this month!!!

Gold Foil One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Naturally Gilded Paper has sheets of Gold, Copper, and Silver! These prints are basic nature images which is perfect for any occasion! I paired it with the Something Fancy Stamp Set and Dies for a quick and simple card!

One Sheet Wonder

Now for the amazing One Sheet Wonder part where you can create 6 cards! Let me share the measurements so you can use every inch of the 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper. After all this paper is gorgeous and you don’t want to waste any. First, cut at 5-1/4″ creating a 5-1/4″ x 12″ strip. Then cut another strip at 5-1/4″. Now you should have 2 strips measuring 5-1/4″ x 12″ and 1 strip measuring 1-1/2″ x 12″. With both 5-1/4″ x 12″ strips, cut across every 4″ creating 6 pieces measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. These will be used on the card fronts of 6 cards! Now with the 1-1/2″ x 12″, simply cut that in half at 3/4″ creating 2 strips of 3/4″ x 12″. Then cut across every 4″ creating 6 pieces measuring 3/4″ x 4″ which will be used inside the card!

One Sheet Wonder Something Fancy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of this card, I brushed some Night of Navy Ink on the bottom of the Very Vanilla just to make the Designer Paper POP some more! I really love how it turned out!!! Of course, then I stamped the greeting crooked but it’s all good! 🙂 Check out all of the supplies below so you can recreate these gold foil one sheet wonder cards!

Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin Kit!!!

Posted on

I can’t believe it’s the last day of February already! How have 2 months of the year already gone by?!? But I am excited about Spring. I have already started cleaning and putting a few scarves and hats away. It’s crazy, I know! After doing the February 2023 Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin Kit, I’m even more pumped for Spring!

Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The pastel colors, rainbows, flowers, and adorable animals make perfect cards to send just because. These cards also have a fun peek-a-boo look through to the inside of the card that makes it super fun and display-worthy for sure! It does also make it tricky to write inside the card. If you have a simple greeting like “thinking of you! Love, Laura” then you could sneak it along the edge. Otherwise you can always write on the back of the card or slip in a little piece of paper with your note!

Rainbows and Duck Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is my favorite because I love rainbows! A few tips for this card is to either leave the card base flat or slide in a piece of scrap paper when stamping the sun so that you don’t get a partial image on your rainbow. Another tip is to be careful when adding the clouds that you don’t add adhesive to entire back of the cloud because then you will seal your card shut. Just add adhesive to the edge where it overlaps the card base or another cloud.

Bunny with a kite February 2023 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is just so adorable with the bunny and flowers in the field! When attaching the kit, add a Mini Glue Dot to the front of the end of the string and the back of the tip of the kite. Then attach it to the card front. As for the placement for stamping the sun…..I just went for it. Be sure not to stamp it real close to the corner of the inside of the card. I guess technically you could close the card and stamp the entire sun in the corner and showing. It’s all personal preference!

Rainy Day Paper Pumpkin February 2023, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is adorable because of the cute animals and that greeting! I love it. Claire stamped with me when creating this Paper Pumpkin so I was short an umbrella and some clouds. This set of 3 cards each looked different because of that but that’s okay! You could always use fewer pieces and then create additional cards with those pieces. It’s always fun to try new things with Paper Pumpkin Kits!

What did you think of the Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin Kit?!? Let me know in the comments below! Be sure to sign up for the March Kit before the 10th because it will have a special gift inside to celebrate 10 years!!! Woot Woot!!! I’m still in shock that it’s been 10 Years since Paper Pumpkin began. I feel like that was just yesterday. And yet I haven’t aged at all…..right!?! LOL

Thanks A Bunch!

I DO NOT HAVE A GREEN THUMB! I am the youngest of 3 kids. My Mom is a major gardener in both flowers and vegetables and my oldest sister is the same! My brother does have a vegetable and then there is me with nothing. Thanks a bunch, apparently it all ran out by the time I came along! I can barely keep a house plant alive. I either over water it or forget about it. What I do enjoy doing is stamping with flowers and vegetables though if that counts?! 🙂

Thanks A Bunch Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set - Laura's Stamp Pad

The Thanks A Bunch Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set has these adorable carrots and some super fun SPRING greetings! You all know how much I love Spring so I’m overjoyed. If you are new here, Welcome! My name is Laura and I LOVE SPRING!

For this card, I used Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizzazz Ink! When stamping the carrots, I stamped off once with the full solid carrot piece in Pumpkin Pie Ink and then stamped it on the scalloped rectangle. Then I stamped full strength Pumpkin Pie for that detailed right side image. NOTE: I always find it easier to stamp the lighter image second because it is easier to line up an image through a lighter ink (stamped off ink). That would mean stamping the right side detailed image first in this case. The problem here is that spacing would be difficult! It is doable if you start with the center one and work your way out.

I have another tip for the carrot tops too! The solid leaf was stamped in Pear Pizzazz and stamped off. As for the other greenery piece, that one is stamped in full strength. I also felt that the stem was super long so I simply curved it around the clear block to shorten the image!

Check out the supplies listed below to recreate this fabulous card using the the Thanks A Bunch Stamp Set that you can get for FREE through Sale-A-Bration!

Stampin’ Up! released NEW Baby Blending Brushes AND a Blending Brush Storage piece. Eeeee Bring all on the cuteness and organization! I am so game!

Baby Blending Brushes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The front 3 brushes are the NEW Baby Blending Brushes. I would say they are almost half the size of the bigger ones or so. The smaller ones offer a little more control of color and a smaller surface for doing smaller/tighter spaces.

You will also notice this amazing NEW Blending Brushes Storage. It holds 9 brushes (big and small). It nice and small and light weight so it can sit on a shelf or on your desk. It’s very clean and sleek looking so it is sure to match! I’m pretty excited about it because before this I had them in a cup but I couldn’t see each brush at a glance.

Blending Brush Background, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is a little sneak peak at a background that I created with Blending Brushes. Any guesses as to what the final card might look like?!?! Let me know in the comments below and stay tuned for the finished card!

Dainty Flowers!!!

Posted on

Have you seen the Dainty Flowers Designer Paper that is one of the $50 Level Sale-A-Bration items?!?!? It is so beautiful! I know I am a flower girl already but this paper is just amazing! It is also perfect for making quick and simple cards too!

Dainty Flowers Designer Paper Sale-A-Bration, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The colors of this card (Blushing Bride & Starry Sky) are a beautiful combination. Add the layer of Dainty Flowers Designer Paper for a quick and simple card. All I did next was add a greeting with some Linen Thread for texture and then some Brass Butterflies. This card could be used for many different occasions! Which occasion would you use it for?!?!?

Linen Thread Loops for Texture on A Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For those Linen Thread Loops, I simply added a dab of adhesive to the middle of my card. Then I wrapped some Linen Thread around 4 fingers. I try to end my loop around the same spot as where the starting end is. Then slide the loops off your fingers and twist into a figure 8. This makes the ribbon fan out a bit. Then place this down with the center of your figure 8 on that dab of adhesive in the center of your card. Add the greeting over the top of the loops with Stampin’ Dimensionals! Feel free to pull the loops a bit to fan them out for more texture! This can be done with Baker’s Twine and other thin threads and ribbon! I hope you will try it out too!

Sale-A-Bration ends on February 28th so don’t wait to place your order and earn lots of Free Sale-A-Bration goodies. The Dainty Flowers Designer Paper has been a popular one so I could see it running out perhaps!

January 2023 Paper Pumpkin!

Posted on

The January 2023 Paper Pumpkin arrived and I was super surprised! I wasn’t expecting Fresh Freesia to be the ink color. The color combination was one that I wouldn’t have picked myself. Also, I LOVED all 3 cards so much!

January 2023 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I can’t even pick a favorite because I love them all so much! This one is super cute with the 3 locks and the fun gold foil! A little tip for the twine on this one is to create a long bow and place it over the vellum strip to make sure it is big enough before securing it down. Also, don’t worry about the vellum and adhesive showing through because the greeting covers it up!

Key To My Heart – Paper Pumpkin!

Key To My Heart Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is a favorite because I love the purple and gold together! Also that golden key is super fun. When it comes to the vellum, again don’t worry about your adhesive showing through because the locks cover it. If anything add adhesive on the left side and you will be golden! 😉 Also, I ended up adding a little Dimensional to the bottom of the key to pop it up a bit. You all know I am a huge Dimensional fan!

Peek A Boo Key To My Heart Stampin' Up Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card was super cute and fun because of the peek-a-boo aspect. How fun is that?!? Such a fabulous greeting to go with it too! I just loved all of the January 2023 Paper Pumpkin cards. They are perfect for Valentine’s Day, Weddings, Anniversaries or just telling someone you love them! That’s perfect any day!

During Sale-A-Bration, you can enjoy a Paper Pumpkin Pre-Paid Subscription and earn Sale-A-Bration goodies! Another option is to enjoy your Paper Pumpkin and purchase a few items that will help making your card making experience easier. Check out some of my favorite add on items below!
