It’s okay! It’s not really broken! Today, I’m showing you how we are fixing your broken punch!!! Have you ever had that little plastic release button in the back pop out??? No worries, that doesn’t mean your punch is forever broken!
Have you ever had this happen?? That little plastic piece in the back of your punch pops out. This happens when it is slid into the locked position and you go to punch something. It gets pushed out when that happens. Keeping it in the unlocked position while using it is best. I feel like I have some punches that always pop out and others that never had. Who knows…but I do know how to fix it and I’m sharing that with you!
All you need to do it gently pop that plastic piece back into the slot in the back. It will need pressure to get it back in and it will sort of snap back in. Be sure to put it in with the notch closer to the outside edge of the punch. If you pop it in the other way, it won’t slide closed/locked because it will hit that notch. No worries, just pop it back out and flip it around!
Let me know in the comments below if you have had a punch do this!!!

Happy Wednesday!!! This week is kind of going fast it seems!!! Just like this summer has gone fast and the holidays are right around the corner it seems. Don’t blink! Today, I’m sharing this fun card with holly berries & stitched labels!!!
I used the NEW Blended Seasons Stamp Set and coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits (Bundle & Save 10%). These products are available this month only so get them before they are gone! The stamps are perfect for any occasion and season and the framelits are amazing with the double stitching!
I started with a Very Vanilla card base. Next, I layered on a piece of Old Olive measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then, I took a piece of Very Vanilla (3-3/4″ x 5″) for stamping and Cherry Cobbler (3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″) for die cutting. Using the Stitched Seasons Framelits, I die cut the label out of the center of the Cherry Cobbler. Stay tuned to see how I used the label on another card. Using the negative border image as a guide, I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler and the holly berries in StazOn Black ink.
Using the NEW Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2, I colored in the holly berries. I used the Old Olive from the current Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1 and then added in accents by going down the center with Garden Green. The berries were colored with Cherry Cobbler. After coloring, I used the Blender Pens to soften and smear the color around. Once I was done coloring, I added the vanilla piece to the card front. Then I added the Cherry Cobbler frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished off the card with a few Gold Faceted Gems.
Don’t forget that the Blended Seasons Bundle is only available while supplies last this month only. Click the supplies below to get yours today! If you want to check out all the products in the Bundle, check out my Video Tutorial here!
Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you!!! While I’m loving summer and I’m not ready for it to leave, today I’m showing you all about blending Fall colors!!!
These colors are just amazing using the New Watercolor Pencils!!! They are the perfect fall look and I love how the leaves look like they are blowing around.
I started with a Crushed Curry card base. Next, I took a piece of Cajun Craze and ripped the top and bottom for some texture on the card. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and did the same. Using the NEW Blended Seasons Stamp Set, I stamped the leaves and greeting in StazOn Black Ink. I used StazOn because I did some blending of the colors with Blender Pens and I don’t want the ink to bleed.
Now for the coloring, I used the NEW Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 and Pumpkin Pie from the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1. The red leaf was done with Cherry Cobbler & Pumpkin Pie. The yellow leaf was done with Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. Green leaves were done with Garden Green and Granny Apple Green. I simply went down the veins with one color, added a little in between with the other color and then swirled the colors together with Blender Pens. I love how the colors came out! Let me know your favorite leaf in the comments below. Mine is the red one!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!! We enjoyed family time, my high school reunion, and relaxing. That’s the perfect weekend for sure!!! Today, I’m sharing with you the July 2018 Paper Pumpkin – Picnic Paradise!!! This one is supper summer-y and adorable!!!
Look at all of that goodie. I am still blown away with how much product/projects come in the Paper Pumpkin Box each month. All of this with leftover supplies, stamps, and ink for just $19.95 plus tax, free shipping. That is a steal!!! I can’t figure out whether I want to put the cards in the baskets and give them as a gift or use the cards and add some food treats to the baskets as a gift. What would you rather get…food or cards? Let me know in the comments below!
The strawberries are my favorite I think. First thing, was to stamp the stitched border on all of the card bases. The stamp doesn’t actually go all the way across but don’t panic. Lining the stamped image up isn’t that hard since it is photopolymer and if it’s not straight, you can’t tell. I messed up a few or felt it looked super crooked and once the cards were complete, I can’t find the messed up ones. Next, add the vellum which I only put adhesive in the center so it didn’t show through on the edges.
For the fruit, I put it down first and then tied the twine around. I didn’t want the Baker’s Twine to be lumpy under my fruit. The greetings I popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals so I didn’t have to worry about those being lumpy over the twine. I did adhere the striped label to the greeting first.
Do these not scream teacher and back to school??? Claire isn’t going to school this August (lol) but I do think they would make great back to school notes/gifts for a teacher!
Here I wanted to show that I stamped the stripes all the way across the paper and then popped out the labels. That was much easier than popping them out and trying to hit that small individual label with the inked up image. Then for the basket assembly. These were super simple since the basket pieces were labeled. The instructions mentioned cutting off a little piece if you would like and I wasn’t sure what they were talking about. After making one, I realized it was the handle. That little piece of the handle that goes lower than the basket trim can be cut off flush with the trim if you would like. I cut all of mine. Also, I didn’t think I would use the short basket trim pieces but then I put one on and loved it. So I ended up using the short pieces for that nice clean trim look around the basket. I only stuffed 2 pieces of the check paper into the baskets and there is tons leftover. I love it!!!

Today, I’m sharing a tip for your StazOn Black Ink. First one is don’t throw away that little clear lid!
StazOn Ink smells AMAZING. Does anyone else love the smell of it like me? Let me know in the comments below….surely I’m not alone here. Right? I love it! It also works fabulous for watercoloring because it’s a permanent ink. StazOn for watercoloring and Memento for Stampin’ Blends!
My Tip: Don’t throw away that little clear lid on the inside of the ink pad. That is needed to keep a nice seal on the ink so it doesn’t dry out easily. Since it can get in the way or you might lose it, simply add a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to the lid. That little clear lid with attach and stay perfectly.
Now the ink pad is ready to use after just removing the black lid. It all comes off together and saves inky fingers. I love when something so simple really makes life easier!
StazOn Ink also has it’s own cleaner since it is a strong ink. I’ll be honest and say that I don’t use StazOn Cleaner very often. I clean my stamps with the Simply Shammy or Stampin’ Scrub and let them stain. Sometimes, when I’m done with the project, I’ll go back and use the cleaner. This is all personal preference. I know it’s best to get that ink off but it’s also a pain and I just like stamping more. It is odd because I’m such a freak about organizing and cleaning in other aspects but this I let slide. It’s okay though!

Happy Wednesday! Happy August 1st!!! That means that my Birthday Month has begun and it’s time to celebrate!!! I love celebrating all month long! Stampin’ Up must have known because they have released a NEW bundle for this month only!!!
This card makes me sooooo happy. I love the greeting but more importantly those amazing flowers. I’m telling you, I’m not an artist or good at coloring but Stampin’ Blends prove me wrong. Coloring with those make you feel like a rockstar!!
I started this card with a Whisper White card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. I went with this dimension because I wasn’t sure which way I wanted to have my card. With a smaller greeting from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set, the card could go vertical. With this amazing longer greeting, it needed to go horizontal. Also, you can save on ribbon when you go around the 4-1/4″ side of a card verses the 5-1/2″ side.
Next, I layered on a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then for the focal point, I cut a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″). I stamped the flowers and greeting from the NEW Blended Seasons Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink. I couldn’t wait to try out the new colors of Stampin’ Blends – Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green. They are amazing and beautiful. I color with the darker marker first in the centers and along the lines of the stamped image. Then I go back in with the lighter marker and color all over in a circular motion. Making sure to go over the dark color as well to really blend the colors together. I used the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for the centers.
After coloring, I added this piece to the card front and tied some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon along the left side. I really struggled with what color of ribbon to go with – Black, Lovely Lipstick, White, Silver?? Let me know if you think I picked a good one or if you would have went with something different!

Happy Monday!!! I just love Polka Dots and Stripes and the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack is just that. It’s amazing for any style of card!!! Last week I showed off the One Sheet Wonder with this 6″ x 6″ stack and today I have more samples.
For this card, the stripes make the card so cheerful. Sending this out to a friend is sure to brighten their day!! The card above uses the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Designer Paper. I added some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon and the greeting from the Accented Blooms Stamp Set. The greeting was punched out with the coordinating Tailored Tag Punch.
So I wasn’t wasting any pieces, I placed the little 4″ x 3/4″ piece on the inside as a little decoration. I feel like it really pulls the card together!
The other piece was used on this simple card! This piece measures 5-1/2″ x 2″ and I simply stamped the greeting directly to the card base! You could always stamp this on Whisper White and punch it out to give the card a little more texture!
Here is the template for cutting the Designer Paper for these cards!!! I just love One Sheet Wonders!!! Also, if you would like to see this all in action, check out my Video Tutorial.
Let me know what designer series paper you would use for this One Sheet Wonder in the comments below!
