Okay please tell me you have the Itty Bitty Punch Pack because if not, you need it….like yesterday…NOW!!!! I just can not put these 3 little punches down. Every time I go to make a card, I’m like it needs just a little something more. Hmmm….a heart (star or flower) and then it looks perfect!!!! Click here to get your’s NOW! Then you can make this amazing card!

Sending A Kiss, Heart Punch, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t these little hearts adorable? I punched them out with the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. The solid Hello Honey one on the bottom left is actually punched on the Whisper White Cardstock and so the yellow is popping through. Isn’t that clever? I know. 😉 The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set! I just thought this card needed a little greeting like that. The card base is Blackberry Bliss and the center band is Lost Lagoon embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder! This card would make a great Anniversary Card, Valentine’s Day Card and even a random card sent to someone you love. I send cards to my husband’s grandma on his mom’s side and grandparents on his dad’s side randomly just to brighten their day and let them know how we are doing and that we love and think about them (my grandparents are angels watching over us and I don’t have their address)! I hope you enjoyed this card and try it out! If you need more reasons to get the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, check out this sample and this sample! Click here to get your’s today!

Technique Tuesday – Sponge Daubers!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means…..I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! My Favorite Stampin’ Tool – SPONGE DAUBERS!!!! I’m sure you all knew that already! Well I’m here to show you why I love them so much and get you all to fall in love with them as well!!!

Sponge Dauber Color Swatch, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t this card just fabulous? That amazing ombre background is perfect for any type of card! You can create the look in many different colors or in a rainbow pattern….the possibilities are endless! Of course, I created this look with my SPONGE DAUBERS!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Sponger Daubers, Ink, Cardstock (that’s it) 🙂

You always want to start with your lightest color first. I used Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Garden Green, and Mossy Meadow! Tap Tap Tap with your sponge dauber into your ink pad and then you will go back and forth over your cardstock. Be sure to go off the piece of paper so that your color goes all the way to the edge. Also, by going off the paper, you will have your darkest spots off the project and not have this darker edge, lighter center look (unless that’s what you are going for). Once you have achieved the look you want, move to the next color. You will want to overlap a little bit so that your colors blend well and you don’t have a distinct line between each color. Repeat until you have used all of your colors. How simple is that? Now you can embellish or stamp on it. I used the new Epic Alphabet Stamp Set for the name Luke! This card is for my nephew’s birthday…..no worries he is only going to be 8 and isn’t a blog follower….yet! I then wanted to add in a few birthday greetings so I used the Happy Birthday from my Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and the Wish Big from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set! LOVE IT!

If you would like to see this in action, check out my Video Tutorial that I created using shades of purple!!! Be sure to Like and Subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss out on more fabulous video tutorials!

For more ways to use your sponge daubers, check out this Northern Lights post, this post and this one! You can also put Sponge Daubers into the Search bar and see the many posts I have done using these amazing things!

Make Your Own Background!!!

Posted on

We all love Designer Series Paper (especially when it is on sale Buy 3, Get 1 Free) but did you know that you can create your own Designer Series Paper? Using any stamp set really, you can create that perfect matching piece. If you want a Melon Mambo flower paper, take one of your favorite flower stamp sets and stamp all over Whisper White or even Melon Mambo cardstock. If you want random splotches, take your Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set or a spritzer bottle if you like living on the edge! I am loving the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set because it has those splotch images that come out perfect every time. When I use my spritzers, it is not the same…..spray once – goes in the eye, spray twice – got the left corner, spray a third time – covered the whole piece in a wet mess. Am I the only person with this problem? My other problem is when it looks perfect, I think maybe a little more in that right corner and I go for it and then it becomes not so perfect. Ehh It’s handmade with love, not perfection! 🙂

Birthday Gorgeous Grunge, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Check out this amazing card. I used the itty bitty dotted stamp in Basic Gray on the background and then filled in with the larger splotch in Tempting Turquoise. My husband said I should have used another color (on the splotches or cardstock) rather than using just Tempting Turquoise. What do you think? Leave me a comment down below! Greeting was stamped from the Big New Stamp Set!

Birthday Gorgeous Grunge, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card was created with the lines image from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set (the one that looks like a car left black marks). The greeting was stamped from Age Awareness! With the lines, you can create an entire background or stamp vertical and horizontal and you will have a cool crisscross pattern! So many options for creating cool backgrounds! Which is your favorite?

Thinking Outside the Box!

Posted on

I love taking a stamp set, tool, or embellishment and, thinking outside box, come up with a new way to use it! I looked at the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and see some great background splotches and patterns but what else could I use this set for?

Candles Gorgeous Grunge, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I thought this card was super adorable and a great use for this stamp set! I used the long diagonal lines for the candles. Then taking one of the splotch stamps, I colored in a splotch with my markers for the fire. I used Crushed Curry for the center and then took my Pumpkin Pie Marker and went around the edge to get that dual color!

Grunge - candle

The 2 stamps that are boxed in red are the images that I used! TIP: Apply some take or some form of a mask to the rest of the splotches so that when you stamp down you don’t get marks from the images not used. No matter how much you try to clean it, there is still a chance it will stamp and mess up your creation! I’m coming from experience here. 🙂 Also, take your Black Marker and draw a little wick line for your candle as well. I did this step last so I knew how much to draw! This card could be modified for a boy or girl and I think it works great for those young and young at heart! For your little ones (probably 5 and under), you could stamp the amount of candles they will be turning! Super cute!!! Let me know of ways that you like to use this Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in the comments below- backgrounds, pops of color, etc? Also, be sure to check out this post and this post for other ideas on how to use this stamp set!

Elegant & Simple Wedding Invitations

Posted on

Baroque Wedding Invites,wwwLaurasStampPad.com

I love the elegant scroll look of this Wedding Invitation that I created for a Bride. Her colors were Marina Mist and Basic Gray! I then used the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set which retired a few years ago but you can still get the Digital Download – Baroque Motifs! That’s the best thing about Digital Downloads, they never retire! This invitation was created as a 5″ x 7″ and had a matching RSVP card with a little of the stamped image on there as well! I love how these items pair together and look amazing!

Once you have your colors and theme/image picked for your wedding, I can create the perfect Save the Date, Invitation, Program, Place Cards, Thank You Notes, and so much more for your special day! If you would like to get your crafty side out, I can help with the design and supplies and you can create them yourself (or with all of you best girls)!!!! Email me today to get started! I do other celebrations as well! You can check out more samples by clicking here!

Technique Tuesday – Spiral Pop Out Card!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! You know what that means….I have a fabulous technique to share with you! I created this one awhile back and have just kept it in my back pocket but NOW it’s time to share!!!! Who doesn’t like a card that POPS out???

Spiral Flower Pop Out Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay I know this card doesn’t seem super WOW or POPPIN’ OUT but just wait…….

Pop Out Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

How fabulous is that inside of the card? LOVE IT!!!! I used the Spiral Flower Die to create this adorable Pop Out piece.

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Spiral Flower Die, Cardstock, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, and Decoration

You will start with a piece of cardstock measuring 4″ x 4-1/4″. Place that in the center of the Spiral Flower Die and run it through the Big Shot. The actual Spiral Flower piece can be tossed aside for another project because all you will need for this one is the reverse image/left over piece. Now take 4 Dimensionals and place them on the corners and place this down onto the inside of your card. Now you will need to create your decoration. In the cards above I used the Itty Bitty Punch Pack for the flowers and stars. I placed a Mini Glue Dot on the star and then slide it underneath the center tip of the spiral. The glue dot should be facing up. Now you will close your card and press in the middle so that that Mini Glue Dot sticks to the top/lid of the card. This makes the placement of the spiral perfect every time. If you tried to measure or guess where to glue it, it could be off a little and then it wouldn’t close properly or lay flat. Now you can decorate the rest of your spiral! In the 2 pictured above, I took my marker and added a little decoration around the edge just to make it POP some more. The greetings for the outside and inside are from the Age Awareness Stamp Set!!!

And because sometimes it is just easier to see how it is done, I have created a Video Tutorial for you here!!! Be sure to “LIKE” the Video and “SUBSCRIBE” to my Channel so you don’t miss out on my water color tricks which are coming soon!

Black & White….with a POP of Color!!!!

Posted on

I love the simplicity of Black and White! It is just so bold and beautiful but then you add a POP of color and it is AMAZING!!!

Hexagon Gorgeous Grunge, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Black card base and added a layer of Bermuda Bay and then Whisper White! The splotches from Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set made the perfect subtle background! Then I punched out a few hexagons in the Back to Black Designer Series Paper (don’t forget Buy 3, Get 1 Free Special)! As soon as I saw the Back to Black DSP, I knew I needed it…like NOW! Of course, I popped a few of the hexagons up with dimensionals to add some…well dimension…and texture! 😉 The greeting came from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and then I used my Banner Framelits to cut it out! Get them both with the Bundle and Save – Clear Bundle or Wood Bundle! I popped the greeting up with Dimensionals and then added a little Baker’s Twine bow! How fabulous is this card?

What color do you like to use with Black & White??? Leave me a comment down below!
