Cloud 9, www.LaurasStamppad.com

It’s here! It’s HERE! IT’S HERE!!!! Today is the day that the Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Promotion begin!!!! I’m so excited to start sharing all of these goodies with you and you can get them now too!!! Bright colors, beautiful patterns, new tools, and so much more! AND with all of this new stuff to buy, you can earn FREE Sale-A-Bration items with every $50 order. That’s even better! I love this time of year!

This card uses some items from both catalogs and yet they all coordinate together!!! I started with a Peek-a-Boo Peach card base. Then I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped the clouds all over the top portion in Night of Navy Ink. The clouds are from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog! Then I stamped the greeting from the same set in the middle on the bottom! There are lots of fun greetings in this set! I cut a piece of Carried Away Designer Series Paper into a 4″ x 2″ piece and adhered it across the cardstock. I love how this Designer Paper is a Sale-A-Bration item that coordinates with one of the bundles from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Just fabulous!!! Also, I wanted to point out that I picked the dimension of this strip to be 4″ x 2″ because that is an even number for a 12″ x 12″ sheet of paper. Now you can use up every inch of that paper!!! After adhering the Designer Paper on, I tied some Mint Macaron Sheer Ribbon around the card and then adhered it to the card base! Love it!!

Stay tuned as I have tons of samples and reveals of these new items coming soon! You can see my Haul Video of some of the Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration items here!

Technique Tuesday – Stamp-A-Ma-Jig!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you are all recovered from the New Year festivities and ready to get back into the swing of things! Today I’m sharing a fabulous technique using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! This is one of those handy tools that makes stamping perfect!!!

Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Are you wondering where that fabulous Thanks greeting came from??? It’s in the Double Take Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog which starts TOMORROW!!!! I’m super excited to start sharing with you all of the fabulous new products!!! This stamp set is a 2-step stamping set which allows for you to create those amazing drop shadows with different colors! I love it!! The stamp set is photopolymer which makes it super easy to see through to line it up. If you want to make sure it’s perfect every time though, you can use a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig!!!

For the greeting, I took a piece of Whisper White (1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″) and stamped the solid Thanks greeting from the Double Take Stamp Set in Mint Macaron. That’s the easy one! Then I took the other Thanks image (the one that’s more broken up and not as solid) and inked it in Night of Navy Ink. If you ink it lightly and don’t get ink on your block or all around the stamp, it is much easier to line up with the mint image and stamp it down. If you would like a sure fire way to know it’s going to be perfect, you can use a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! This is a tool to help you line up your stamping images every time whether it be a perfectly straight and centered greeting or a 2 step stamping set. There is a “T” shaped plastic piece as well as a clear imaging sheet that is square. You will place the imaging sheet in the corner of the “T” shaped piece, either on the left side or the right depending on which you are more comfortable with. I am right handed and I place it on the right side. Then stamp your image onto the imaging sheet making sure that the block of the stamp is pressed against that “T”. So if you are doing it like me, your stamped image would be in the lower left corner of the imaging sheet. You want to make sure to use the “T” as a guide as you stamp your image down because this is creating your guide for the actual stamped image. Now place the imaging sheet over your white cardstock greeting exactly as you wish to stamp this 2nd image. Place the “T” in the corner like you did before, remove the imaging sheet without moving the cardstock, then place the stamp in the “T” corner and stamp it down.

Stamp-A-Ma-Jig Tutorial, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Your image should have come out perfectly! A few tips – be sure to slide the block down along the “T” evenly and not at an angle. If it is angled it will hit the paper in a different spot and can move the cardstock. If you wish to add a small dab of adhesive to the back of your cardstock to ensure it won’t move that can be handy! Make sure you press the block against the “T” and not just close to it, otherwise your image won’t be lined up exactly. It’s okay if your stamp is on the block diagonal or crooked because the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig will help correct that and make it right. Just be away that it might look crooked when you are stamping, don’t over correct that. Trust the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.

Now that you have your perfect greeting, you can finish the card! I layered the greeting onto Night of Navy cardstock (1-3/4″ x 4″). My card base is Daffodil Delight. I took a piece of Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) and layered it onto Watermelon Wonder cardstock (4″ x 5-1/4″) and wrapped some White Baker’s Twine around it! I added this piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the greeting to the card with them as well. To finish it off, I put a few Enamel Shapes randomly on the card for texture. I just love this look and all of the layers – both in cardstock and stamping!!!

Don’t forget that the Holiday Mini Catalog ends tonight! Tomorrow the Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Promotion begin!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

Technique Tuesday – Floral Boutique One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! I hope you are having a wonderful week and if you are like me, you have no clue what day it really is….the holidays always do this! Before long it will be the weekend again and another holiday!!! Today I’m sharing a favorite – One Sheet Wonders!!!
Floral Boutique One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So technically only 9 of these cards came from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper but I couldn’t stop at just 1 sheet so I made TONS!!!

Supplies for the One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You will need the following:

9 Crumb Cake Card Bases – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″

9 Night of Navy Cardstock – 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″

1 Sheet of 12″ x 12″ Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper – cut into 4″ Squares = 9 squares

Floral Boutique Washi Tape

9 Whisper White Cardstock – 1-1/2″ x 4″

For all of the greetings and stamped decorations, I used the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set and Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink and Crumb Cake Ink! I like using just 1 or 2 stamp sets and ink pads because it makes it quick and simple without pulling out all of the supplies you have and making a huge mess!!!

Sympathy Note, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the card on the left, I added some Washi Tape to the greeting piece and layered it all together. For the card on the right, I cut an inch off the top of  4″ Square giving me a 1″ piece for the top and 3″ for the bottom!

Floral Boutique Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com  You can swap the Designer Paper to be on the top or bottom. I added a little bit of the Washi Tape on the overlap of the Designer Paper and greeting piece!

Sending You Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I will say for the diagonal one, you will need a longer piece of Whisper White but that depends on your angle. Just take a strip that is 1-1/4″ and then trim down once you have cut your Designer Paper. The 4″ square was cut diagonal at any angle you wish! For the card on the right, I cut the 4″ square in half and put it on the top and bottom!

Navy and Tan, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the Washi Tape on both of these. You can add some more design to the greeting piece with stamps, enamel shapes, or punched pieces!

Fantastic Person, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love the confetti swirl in the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set! Super fun!!!

You Can Do It, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So many fun prints but they all look amazing! You could cut up the entire package of Floral Boutique Designer Paper and make 108 cards in no time at all!!!

If you would like to see these cards in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new!!!

On the 7th Day of Stamps-Mas!!!

On the 7th Day of Stamps-Mas, my true love gave to me…..Designer Series Paper!!! Oh for the love of paper and all of the different colors and patterns. They are just so beautiful, cheery, elegant, playful, and fabulous!!! Are you a paper hoarder?? I would like to say I’m about in the middle. I have a good collection but I’m not overboard!!! 🙂

7thDayofStampsMas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Designer Series Paper comes in so many different colors and patterns so there are endless possibilities with it. Since I started out crafting as a scrapbooker, I always look at it as a complete piece of paper – the whole 12″ x 12″ (or 6″ x 6″). I sometimes forget that I can cut it up and enjoy it so much more on 14+ cards or something like that. I love love love doing One Sheet Wonders because you get to create so many cards quickly and enjoy both sides of the paper. You can check out all the One Sheet Wonder Videos, I have created here. These are always perfect when you need a lot of cards to fill your stash quickly or if you wanted to gift someone with some beautiful cards! I love using Designer Series Paper in small strips to back my greeting, as the background/focal point, or just for a little texture on the side.

Of course my favorite patterns are those that include Pink, Flowers, and Polka Dots but I really love branching out as well. What are some of your favorite styles, colors, or patterns of Designer Series Paper?? Let me know in the comments below!!

Are you just tuning in to Stamps-Mas or have you been following along? If you have missed the first few days, check them out here – Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, and Day 6! Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on the rest of Stamps-Mas. On the 5th Day of Stamps-Mas!!!

Posted on

On the 5th Day of Stamps-Mas, my true love gave to me…..BLING, BLING, BLING, BLING, BLING!!!! Did you all sing that with me?? I know I sure did!!! In honor of the 5 Golden Rings, I thought I would do BLING – Rhinestones, Pearls, Glimmer Paper, Foil Paper and Dazzling Details!!!

5thday of Stampsmas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Pearls & Rhinestones are the perfect little pop of bling to add to any project. I love adding a few randomly for some texture and bling. Add one to the center of flowers for a pop of color or on either side of a greeting!

Foil Paper comes in Gold, Silver, and Copper! This paper is super shiny and fun to work with. I find that it goes through the Big Shot in Framelits and Thinlits fairly easy (sometimes better than Glimmer Paper since it is chunkier). It is also better for layering than Glimmer Paper. It works perfect for man cards too which a little shine for tools and other looks!

Glimmer Paper is just so fabulous and bling-y! It comes in Red, Gold, Silver, Blushing Bride, and Dazzling Diamonds (like white). I love using this for lots of bling on my card but not having to work with powder glitter that gets all over. This glitter may have a piece or 2 rub off on your hand but it will not be all over. You can use it with Framelits & Thinlits in the Big Shot but be sure to crank it through a few times to get all the way through the paper. One of the downfalls to this paper is I find it difficult to adhere things to the top of it. So using it as a background is not ideal but I tend to use it as an accent or front and center piece anyway!!! Who wants to hid it? It’s fabulous!!!

Dazzling Details is my other favorite form of glitter because it isn’t powder glitter that gets all over. If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I’m not a fan of powder glitter after I dropped an entire tub of it all over myself. 🙂 This glitter is in a squeeze bottle with a fine tip. You can add it along the edge of an image or dotted all around. You don’t need a ton of it or it will take forever to dry but it adds the perfect amount of bling! It comes in Silver and Gold.

What is your favorite form of Bling? Do you like powder glitter? Let me know in the comments below!

Making Spirits Bright!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday everyone!!! I just wanted to give a big Thank You to all of those that participated in the Big Shot Giveaway that I had. I drew the name of the winner on Friday and it was…….drum roll………Gloria C. I’m so excited for her and wish I could have given you all a Big Shot! I had a lot of fun with this so stay tuned as I’m thinking I will do more fun giveaways like these. I’m thinking maybe an entire color family of ink pads (10 pads) next time…what do you think? Let me know in the comments below what you would like!!! making-spirits-bright, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Well Fall/Winter has officially set in here in Illinois. We had one day last week where it was almost 80 degrees and I was in love!!! It felt like Spring again…..and then I got bit by a mosquito and decided FINE bring on Fall! Then 5 hours later, it was!!! Brrr. It’s cold out, the leaves are blowing and I’m ready for Thanksgiving! Can’t believe that’s next week! I’m so excited! I LOVE Thanksgiving!!! Today I’m going to skip Thanksgiving and help you get ready for the next holiday as this card is one in my Cut For Christmas offer! I do all of the cutting, provide instructions, and a color photo and all you have to do is stamp and assemble!!! Quick and easy!

I started with a Crumb Cake card base. Then I adhered four strips of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper measuring 1″ x 2-3/4″ onto a piece of Real Red cardstock (4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″). The fun thing about this is that the Designer Series Paper is 2-sided so you have endless options on your strips. You can work with 2 prints or 4 prints in any combination! You also don’t have to worry about using up only certain styles in your Designer Series Paper Pack. Love it!!! Then I wrapped some Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine around the Real Red rectangle. You can do this in the middle and tie a bow or in an “X” pattern like mine. I actually put the knot on the back side because I didn’t want it to show. Then I added this piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used those because I love them so much and so the cardstock lays flat and isn’t bumpy over the Baker’s Twine. For the greeting, I stamped the snowflake from the Tin of Tags Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink. I stamped off once before stamping on the Whisper White for a lighter look so that the greeting still pops! Then I stamped the greeting from the Tin of Tags in Real Red Ink over the top of the snowflake. I die cut out the scallop circle with the Layering Circles Framelits. I love these things because they layer so well and add the perfect took to any project!!! I die cut out a smooth circle in Early Espresso and layered the two together. I added the greeting to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Again, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals because I love them so much and so that it looks smooth over the Baker’s Twine.

I love this card for the amazing greeting and cheerful look! I got the idea for this card from fellow stamper, Ann Veneziano that I did a card swap with!!! I love sharing ideas with other stampers!! It’s so much fun!

Don’t forget about the Online Extravaganza that started today!!! Fabulous Door Busters today and next Monday! Also, the Tin of Tags Stamp Set I used on this card is on sale this month too! I love that set for greetings!!

Fancy Frost!!!

Posted on

Fancy Frost, www.LaurasStampPad.com

What do you think about a Christmas Card with Sweet Sugarplum??? I kind of like it! It is different but it still is super elegant and fun! It is also super easy with the Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper because I didn’t have to run this through the Big Shot, I just cut it and adhered it on!!! Love it!!!

I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base. Then I took a piece of Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″) and adhered a piece of the Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon down the center. Just wrap the ends to the back side and attach it to the card front! I love this ribbon because it is so glitzy and shiny but it is really easy to use and tie into bows. For the greeting, I stamped it from the Star of Light Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum Ink onto Whisper White. Then I die cut out the greeting with the Layering Ovals Framelits. I picked out the scallop oval that was just a smidge larger and die cut that out in Sweet Sugarplum so I could layer. I am telling you…..why did I wait so long to get these circles and ovals??? These are amazing! I just think it looks so fabulous to have these perfectly layering greetings with that little scallop. It’s just so eye-catching and fabulous!!! After layering the greetings, I adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I like to use those when layering over ribbon so that it looks smooth and flat rather than lumpy over the ribbon. Plus I just LOVE Stampin’ Dimensionals! To finish it off, I tied a little bow with some more of the Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon and attached it to the card with Mini Glue Dots! All done and looking fabulous!!!

Gold Ornaments!!!

Posted on

golden-ornament, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Happy Thursday!!! We are almost to the weekend and I’m sharing a fabulous card with you today that I thought wasn’t going to finished. Once I did finish it, it turned into this amazing card that I thought “WOW, I love that and think I will use it in a class!” Do you ever have one of those moments while crafting that something doesn’t turn out like you wanted or you get started but then take it a different direction and toss what you were doing aside? That is what happened here. I die cut the gold ornament and had some other designer paper ready but didn’t like the look. I tossed it aside but at the end of the day, I thought just finish this card and use it personally…..and then this happened! I LOVE IT!!!

I started with a Whisper White card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Then I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler (4″ x 5-1/4″) and layered some of the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) on top. This wasn’t my favorite paper at first glance but I have been using it a lot this season. You can see more samples using it here and here! I die cut the ornament out with the Merry Tags Framelits in Gold Foil Paper. You should totally go for it and get the Merriest Wishes Stamp Set so you can Bundle & Save 10%. I have loved using this stamp set and you can always use one of the greeting on the inside of this card! After die cutting out the ornament, I placed an Emerald Envy Circle on the back that I punched out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. Then I slide a piece of the Emerald Envy Silky Taffeta Ribbon through the ornament top and placed a Stampin’ Dimensional on the back to hold the end of the ribbon and to adhere to the card front. Add a few more dimensionals and then place the ornament on the card with the other end of the ribbon going over the top of the Cherry Cobbler and secured to the back. Once the ribbon is secured, you can add this to your card base. To finish it off, I tied a bow with some more of the Emerald Envy Silky Taffeta Ribbon and secured it to the top of the ornament with some Mini Glue Dots! Now you are all done! You can add a greeting of your choice to the inside if you wish! I just love the colors and that gold shine and silky ribbon!

If you would like to see this all in action, check out my Video Tutorial below or click here. Be sure to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new! I post every Tuesday and Thursday!!

Are you done with your Christmas or Holiday card yet? Have you started on them? Let me know in the comments below! I have my envelopes stamped with my return address and a postage stamp on them. I have a few more classes that I need the samples for and then I will start writing them out, making more, and stuffing them in the envelopes. I like to have them done by the end of November and ready to mail out in early December!

Technique Tuesday – Hand Sanitizers!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you and this one is perfect for this time of year – gift giving!!! These little hand sanitizers are perfect for stocking stuffers, Secret Santa, and hostess gifts…..but they are perfect for all year long as well!

Hand Sanitizer, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t they fabulous??? I got the idea from Meg Loven who shared this at one of our Team Meetings!! They are perfect for sitting on your desk, coffee table, or even in your purse!!! Let’s get started!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Cardstock, Designer Series Paper, Favorite Greeting, Punches or Framelits, Embellishments

Starting with a piece of cardstock measuring 1-7/8″ x 11″, you will score at 2″, 3″, 6-1/4″, 7-1/4″, 9-1/2″, & 10-1/2″. You can get lots of these out of one sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ which is awesome. TIP: If you are using all of the 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock, be sure to score the entire sheet and then cut it into strips, this will save time and less scoring. 🙂 Fold on all of the score lines. On the end with the 1/2″ tab, you will need to punch out a hole for the top of the hand sanitizer to fit though. I used the 3/4″ Circle Punch and slide in it, centered it, and made sure I was just over that first score line and into the 2nd “box”. Now that you have your hole in there, add some Fast Fuse Adhesive to that 1/2″ flap, place your hand sanitizer in there and adhere it to the back panel. I like to use Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape for this because it has a nice strong hold. If you would like, add some Washi Tape around the neck of the bottle to coordinate with your decoration and designer paper! Now you can decorate with Designer Paper of your Choice. You will need 3 pieces measuring 1-5/8″ x 3″ (back panel), 1-5/8″ x 2″ (bottom front), and 1-5/8″ x 1-3/4″ (top flap). You can always add these pieces before putting the hand sanitizer in but just be sure you have them right side up if the pattern requires that. I used Pop of Pink Designer Paper, Presents & Pinecones Designer Paper, Affectionately Yours Designer Paper, and Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper in all of the samples pictured.

reindeer sanitizer, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the decoration, you can use your favorite greeting or image. For the one above and the gingerbread man, I used the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (Bundle & Save 10%). The Be Joyful is from the Merriest Wishes Stamp Set. I really just had so much fun playing with different greetings, designer paper, and ribbons! For the decoration, I added it to the bottom half of the hand sanititzer and added it with Stampin’ Dimensional on the lower portion only. This is so the top flap can slide under the greeting/reindeer/image and hold closed. You could also use a little piece of velcro too!

fill-me-with-happiness, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one uses the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and Bitty Butterfly Punch! Let me know which one your favorite is in the comments below. I’m thinking my favorite is the butterfly and reindeer ones!!

If you would like to see this all in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or click here! Be sure to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new! I post videos every Tuesday and Thursday!

Fabulous Holiday Gifts!!!

Black & Pink Gift Bag, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Tis the season of gift giving! Part of gift giving is the gift packaging. While the packaging isn’t the main event, it is still a big part of it and why not make it fabulous??

I got these little bags from the dollar store with some hand sanitizers in them! I always like having some in my purse and they are cute little gifts that you can give for hostess gifts, secret santa, and so much more. Stay tuned to see those all decorated next week! 🙂 I thought I could decorate these little bags as gift card holders, money holders, or any other small gifts! Cute and simple!!

The bags are 4″ x 4″ so I took a piece of cardstock measuring 3-3/4″ x” 8″ and scored it at 4″. I folded it in half and slide it inside the bag. This will hide the gift in the packaging.

gingerbread-bag, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the front, I took a piece of Designer Series Paper and adhered it on with Fast Fuse. That adhesive is super strong and will hold tight. The bags at the top use the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and the ones just above use Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. I stamped the To/From from the Tin of Tags Stamp Set but those images are in many different sets so you can pick your favorite. I punched out the tag with the Decorative Label Punch and then punched a hole in the corner with the Handheld 1/8″ Punch! I attached the punch with some Metallic Thread to the handle. I used Silver Metallic Thread and Silver Glimmer Ribbon for the ones at the top. For the Gingerbread Houses, I used Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine and Red Metallic Thread.

navy-copper-bags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one uses the Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper with that Copper Foil in it. Love it. For the tag, I used Copper Metallic Thread and Rich Razzleberry Ribbon from the Ribbon Trio Pack.

Do you like decorating a lot with your gift packaging or go with something simple?? Let me know in the comments below! I sometimes like to go all out and other times I think how it will be ripped up and thrown out in no time so I don’t want to go all out. For more gift packaging ideas, check out these here, here, and here!
