Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! For me the festivities haven’t ended! We celebrated with my family yesterday and then my In-Laws are all coming into town today for the weekend!!! I love spending time with family! 🙂

This mum card was created with the Flower Patch Stamp Set! I stamped the flowers in Cherry Cobbler on some Whisper White cardstock and layered it onto a Crumb Cake card base! For the greeting, I stamped it in Garden Green from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch! I layered it onto another Decorative Label Punch in Garden Green. I cut the green one in half and added a piece to the top and a piece to the bottom for that perfect border! You can click here to check out a Video Tutorial on how to do that! Of course I added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
I think my favorite part of this card is the greeting. There is just something so fabulous and touching about it! This simple card was super quick and fun to create! I started with a Pool Party card base. I stamped all over a piece of Whisper White with the snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set in Pool Party! I added that piece to the card front and then added a little strip (leftovers from another project) of Neutrals Designer Series Paper to the left hand side! This is a great way to use up those scraps or create lots of cards from one 12″ x 12″ sheet! I stamped the greeting from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set in Basic Gray onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch! Of course the greeting was added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals BUT FIRST I added some loops of Silver Metallic Thread to the back! You can check out a Video Tutorial on that here! Simple and fabulous!
Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! We will be playing with water and salt and it is so cool!!! I learned this technique from Mary Ellen at our Demonstrator Meeting! I love sharing ideas with fellow demonstrators! Can you see that fabulous background that is all crackles and amazing looking?? I love it! it adds so much more to the project and it is very simple. I used Table Salt!!!! We all have that in the house, right? Let’s get started!!!
I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. This paper adds a little extra shimmer to your project and it is a little bit thicker so it works well when you spritz it with water! You will sponge your background any way you like. You can do lots of colors, just one color or a night sky. I was going with a sunrise/sunset look in the sample above! I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry (the green came from the bleeding of the yellow and blue). Once you have added your color with the Sponge Daubers, spritz it all over with the Stampin’ Spritzer. The spritzer should have just regular water in it. This allows the colors to run and bleed. Then you will add regular table salt and watch the magic happen! You will start to see the salt soak up the water/color. You can set it aside to dry or use a Heat Tool to speed up the process. I like using the Heat Tool because 1. I have no patience and 2. I love to watch the magic happen. You will see the paper start to flatten back out and the water crawls around and the crackles begin to appear. It really super cool to watch! Once it is all dry, you can decorate. You could stamp an image over top and cut it out or use it as a background. I stamped the trees from Lovely As A Tree in the sample above. I thought it needed a little more but then I didn’t want to cover up the amazing look. I finally decided on the Silver Ribbon and simple greeting from One Big Meaning! I punched the greeting out with the Washi Label Punch!
You all know how I LOVE bright colors! This one I created like a rainbow using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, and Elegant Eggplant! I love how amazing the colors look with that crackled look and a hint of shimmer. I thought the greeting from the Feel Goods Stamp Set went perfect on this card! I added a little bit of Whisper White Cotton Ribbon and was all set! I love it!!

There is something so beautiful about a snowflake and you all know how I love Bermuda Bay!!! I love shades of blue and silver together for a holiday card! I started with a Bermuda Bay card base. Then I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and stamped the large snowflake from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay. I stamped the smaller snowflakes in Pool Party and the greeting in Smokey Slate! I wrapped a piece of Silver Ribbon around it and attached it to the card front. For the popped up snowflakes, I stamped the double snowflake in Bermuda Bay on a piece of scrap paper! Then I punched them out with the coordinating Snow Flurry Punch! You can bundle the set and punch together and save 15%! Also, I punched the snowflakes in Silver Foil Paper and layered the stamped snowflakes on top but off set! I added these to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I love it….the card that is, not snow! I just thought I would make that clear! I am so not a fan of winter.

Happy Friday everyone!!! This has been a busy, rainy, dreary, warm, cold week! Welcome to Illinois! 🙂 I have officially started on my Christmas Cards!!! All of the envelopes are stamped and addressed! I have created a few of the cards from leftover packets of some of the classes I have held! I will be using my samples and any other leftover class cards as I finish up the last of the Holiday Card Classes!!! I am feeling behind this year for some reason…..maybe because I’ve got all of these empty envelopes and I’m afraid I won’t have enough cards. Have no fear though, I’ll just make more!!! 🙂
I participated in a Craft Fair last weekend that was lots of fun!!! This weekend I will doing the Holiday Card Class at the Library which is one of my favorite events of the season. It is always so much! There are 22 people and we make 10 Holiday Cards. The class always takes less than 20 hours! It boggles my mind how quickly everyone creates their cards since I have held classes of 3 people making 5 cards and it takes 3 hours. Maybe I am talking less at this event since I’m pretty busy! 🙂

I really like this simple and yet elegant card for the Christmas Season! Who doesn’t want a card that says someone is thinking of you? It is so touching I think! I love it! 🙂
I started with a Garden Green card base and stamped on a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″! I used the Embellished Ornament Stamp Set for the greeting and holly twig! I used a Garden Green and Real Red marker to color in the holly twig and stamped that on either side of the Whisper White. Before attaching it to my card front, I brushed the edges of the cardstock with a Sponge Dauber! For the greeting, I stamped it in Real Red onto Whisper White cardstock and then die cut it with the Tags & Labels Framelits! I brushed the edges of the greeting with a Real Red Sponge Dauber! Then, I cut out another label in the next size up in Silver Foil Paper and layered them together! I added the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I love this!

I think this little easel is so cute. It’s little and makes me think of a kid’s easel to draw on. I never had one as a child but I thought they were cool! Yesterday I showed you how to create a Room Divider Card and you can check that out here. We are going to use that same concept to create the legs for this easel here!
I started with a Crumb Cake card base which measures 4-1/4″ x 11″. I folded it in half to create the card and then slipped the Decorative Label Punch up half way along the bottom. You can punch both layers of the cardstock as the same time! This creates the decorative feet of the easel. Then I slide the front of the card into the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot. That is your easel and now you can decorate it! I used a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 3-1/4″ x 4″. The greeting is from the Friendly Wishes Stamp Set and I heat embossed it in White! To add a pop of color, I just colored on top of the embossed image with a Sharpie Marker. I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I punched out the flowers with the Petite Petals Punch and Itty Bitty Accents Punch! I added a few Rhinestones to each of the flowers for a little bling! I got the inspiration for this card from fellow stamper, Mary Ellen Stites! I love it!!! It would make a great kid’s card but also any other occasion as well!

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means!!!! I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and it uses my favorite punch – the Decorative Label Punch!!! Check this out!!!
Isn’t this adorable?!?! You could create it for any occasion by switching up the images – baby, wedding, moving, just because, get well, and more! I always think cute standing cards like these would be great for a get well or thinking of you because they can be displayed oh so nicely.
There are not very many supplies which is fabulous and it still fits into a regular Medium Envelope! You will need a piece of cardstock (your base) measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and you will fold it in half like a a regular card. Then you will fold the end up to the that center fold for both sides, so folding the front up and the back one back. I hope that makes sense. Use a Bone Folder for those nice strong creases! This creates the folds so your card stands up. Now with 2 of the layers of cardstock folded, slide the Decorative Label Punch up half way and punch! Do this so that there is a punch out of all 4 pieces. This created those decorative feet on the bottom of your room divider. Now it is time to decorate. The Basic Black cardstock measures 3″ x 2-1/4″ and the Very Vanilla measures 2-3/4″ x 2″. I decorated the Very Vanilla with the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and then added some butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set. I stamped the butterflies in Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch! I added the butterflies with some Stampin’ Dimensionals! Love it!!!!
