Going to Maui, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am so excited and can’t wait till next July when we will be going! Stampin’ Up has an incentive trip each year that can be earned. If you have followed me for awhile you know that I have earned the past few years. Due to wanting to start a family, we missed those. We are super excited because this trip we are not going to miss!!! 🙂 Aloha!!!

Birthday Stamp Class, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Each year, I love having a Birthday Stamp Class either on my birthday or a day around it. I make all of the cards based off of my favorite things like bling, pink, flowers, and whatever I’m loving! What birthday party is complete without cake and presents??? Each stamper gets a cupcake and a gift from me! I just love celebrating my birthday with friends and family….and cupcakes!!! 🙂

It’s been a fun week with my birthday and finding out we are going Maui but I can’t wait for the long Holiday weekend too! A few things before we head into the weekend and September….

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Today, I’m taking a break from Technique Tuesday to share with you all a little bit about Vacation Stamping School which is the event I attended over the weekend! Also, don’t miss more unboxing of Holiday Mini Catalog goodies on my YouTube Channel today!

Vacation Stamping School, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I left on Friday around 2:00 p.m. and headed to Champaign. First, a group of us had dinner before the evening Leadership Share. It was a lot of fun to just eat and chat with ladies from Utah, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Illinois. There were lots of laughs and good times. That evening we had a great group sharing ideas, tips, and and just having a good time!

Friday Night, I got to stay with my fabulous upline, Meg Loven! I am so thankful she let me stay with her….and for asking me to join Stampin’ Up 15 years ago! She’s amazing! I got to see her craft space and let me tell you it was amazing. I had to make myself shut the lights out and go to sleep or I think I would have stayed up all night looking at swaps and everything!

Holiday Mini Catalog Samples, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Saturday, I got there bright and early because I always help out with registration. I love doing this because then I get to greet everyone joining us for the day. There were over 100 demonstrators from 10 states – Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan, Utah, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Then the day was filled with presentations, techniques, stamping, swapping, lunch, and chatting. I even got invited to go on stage for a presentation! It was amazing!!!

I was able to get back home from Vacation Stamping School on Saturday in time for some evening play time, snuggles, and putting Claire to bed! The perfect little getaway!! Stay tuned as I will be sharing samples and techniques I learned over the next few months! So much stamping to do, so little time!

Don’t forget that you can join my Fabulous Friends Team this month for just $99!!! You get to pick out $155 in any product you would like AND then next month you will also get a $10 coupon to use on anything else you would like. How amazing is that!?!?! Happy Friday!!! This has been a crazy week of excitement!!! SURPRISE!!! I can’t share all the details but I have some exciting fun new to share with you all very soon so stay tuned!! Let’s get started on this week’s Friday Favorites!!!

SURPRISE, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Right now, I’m just going to say SURPRISE until I can share more details!!!! Patience, dedication, and knowing that each new day means new opportunities has really paid off! I’ll be sharing some of this good new next week I think so stay tuned! 🙂

Coke Zero……my savior! I love it and it is my pick-me-up every afternoon. I call it my Zingy. When Claire doesn’t nap, this Momma really needs some Zingy to power through the rest of the day. What is your pick-me-up? A little chocolate? Caffeine? Let me know in the comments below!

The July Paper Pumpkin worked amazing for me this week. I had all of the little cards created and waiting to be used. Since they aren’t full sized cards, I tend to not use them up very quickly. Well I had my annual well-women doctor visit this week and those came in handy. If you remember during my pregnancy, I took everyone cards and treats all the time. I love everyone in that office. Well of course I couldn’t go empty handed this week. I wrote inside the card – Have an amazing day! ~Laura. I gave them to everyone I saw. It was the perfect little pick me up to make them smile. Goal Accomplished! Thank you Paper Pumpkin for helping me out!

Audio Books are AMAZING! They make a car ride/drive go so quick. Love it. I have been listening to books for a couple years now. I always feel so accomplished too because I arrive at my destination and read a book! How amazing is that?!?!? Let me know if you like them or hate them. Also, give me your book recommendations!

Those are my 4 Friday Favorites this week with one Surprise that will be revealed soon! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’m super excited to be heading to a Stampin’ Up event this weekend with ~100 or so other demonstrators. Be sure to follow my Facebook for sneak peaks from this event!

Happy Stampin’

A Good Man!!!

Posted on

I realized I never shared with you the Father’s Day card that I created for my husband! Together Claire and I created a card for her to give him but I also wanted to give him one. Brad is an amazing father and this card/greeting fit perfectly I thought! He really is a good man!

A Good Man, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love this stamp set – A Good Man! It has wonderful line art images which are great for coloring but also look good stamped solid. The greetings are perfect too! I think it’s just a classic stamp set!

I started with a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock for my card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the image and greeting in Basic Gray. I like using this for coloring because it is softer. Using Stampin’ Blends, I colored the man and the chair. Now repeat 3 more times…..lol. The first time I used Bronze for his skin tone….too dark. Round 2, I accidentally colored the chair as part of his shirt. Round 3 was finally perfect! Using the Balmy Blue Light Marker, I went over the entire background. It looked very streaky and like a hot mess but I set it aside for a bit. When I looked back at it, it was perfect! Sometimes you need to step back and not look at the close details so much! It’s fabulous!

Next, I layered this onto a piece of Crumb Cake and tied some Linen Thread around it. I ripped the bottom edge for a little texture and beachy roughness! Then I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! Of course on the inside I got all mushy about Brad being such a good father and such a good man. He is so amazing and I was in tears writing it. Claire and I are so lucky!

Kid's Father's Day Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is Claire’s card that she made! She had so much fun! I did video the whole thing but it was like a 20 minute video. Cutest thing ever! She helped pick colors, stamp, and color. I can’t wait for many more years of crafting with her!

If you would like to check out some past cards that I have created for Brad click here, here, and here!

Friday Favorites!!!

Happy Friday!!! This has been a crazy week…it went slow? or fast? I don’t even know! I have started playing with Holiday Mini Catalog goodies but yet I’m still holding on to summer as long as I can though especially with my new love Mochi Ice Cream!!! Since it is Friday, I’m sharing my top 5 Friday Favorites of the week! Be sure to let me know yours in the comments below!

Mochi Ice Cream, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m all over the place this week with my favorites!!!!

Isn’t that monster the cutest little thing you have ever seen??? Okay….besides the little flamingo booty in glitter shoes walking and crawling all over. OR the unicorn lunch bag?? So much cuteness this week, it’s almost unbearable! 🙂

The second I saw the monster stamp set, I just had to have it. It is super cute. Actually it’s just this 1 monster that I find super cute. The others are more Halloween themed and if you have been following me long, you know I’m not a huge fan of Halloween! I just knew I had to make this little monster in purple and orange. Now I’m totally seeing blue and green too so that will be up next! The Holiday Mini Catalog is AMAZING! I can’t wait to share more of it in the weeks to come!

Resolve saved me this week as it cleaned 3 blue spots out of my carpet. I noticed 1 in my stamp room and had no clue what it was. It isn’t next to my chair and I surely would have noticed when I dropped an ink pad that it made a spot. I haven’t dropped blue recently. My mind was boggled! Then one day I was in the stamp room working and Claire was…..”playing”. AKA making a huge mess and getting into everything. I hear the noise of my return address self-ink stamp being pushed. Instantly I jump up and grab it from Claire and noticed a blue spot on the carpet. Ahhh Haha! That’s how it got there! So now I have 3 spots! Resolve to the rescue!

Have you tried Mochi Ice Cream??? It is weird and amazing all in one. I love it and still feel so confused at the texture and flavor each time I eat it. Let me know if you have had it and what you favorite flavor is!!!

My little cutey wants to walk, crawl, and do steps all day long. She could live outside if we would let her. Each evening we go to the park, walk around outside, or go for a stroller ride….I wish I was the one riding sometimes! 🙂 We love her so much! At the end of the month, she is going to start a kids program that is 3.5 hours on Tuesday and Thursday. This will give me a chance to work uninterrupted and her the chance to play with other kids and with new toys and games. I’m so excited for her and this opportunity as she loves playing with kids. I’m a little worried how I will handle it though. Getting some routine into our schedule excites me A LOT! We got her a little unicorn backpack and lunch bag and they are the cutest!

Those are my top 5 Friday Favorites! Let me know yours in the comments! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday! Happy Stampin’

Friday Favorites, www.LaurasStampPad.com

We had a wonderful time on vacation. Relaxing, spending time with family, swimming, and eating fabulous food. Another bonus was I only jumped on my laptop 2 times that week and mostly used my phone for photos! It was amazing!

We came home and now have a squirrel friend who has somehow gotten up on our balcony to eat the bird seed. He’s so cute and I love watching him so I haven’t gotten rid of him yet. If he can sit there and eat with Claire playing and yelling in the kitchen, he’s a keeper! 🙂

My Stampin’ Up Holiday Mini Catalog Pre-Order has arrived and it’s sooooo fabulous! Check out the Video here! Eeeeee I’m so excited to start playing!

The final Friday Favorites is this gorgeous notebook that I got this week. As I have shared before, I’m a list maker and I like to stay organized. I got this fabulous notebook to keep me organized and like I kinda have it together. 😉 Also, doesn’t that pattern look very similar to the Perennial Essence Suite?!?!?! Stampin’ Up is so on trend with colors and patterns that are hot on the market! I love it!!!

I’m crazy like that. Seaside Spray! I finally pulled out this new Stampin’ Up In Color to use on a card and I have fallen in love. This color is perfect for sky looks and so much more. I used it a lot with the Above the Clouds Bundle! My Baby is walking! How crazy is that?!?!?! I can’t believe how big she is getting and all of the things she is learning blows my mind. She grabbed a random diaper (clean/unused) and booked it into the kitchen. We had no clue where she was going but just sat back and watched. She took it in there and threw it into the garbage. Mind blown!

Girl’s Night Out Fun!!!

Posted on

Oh my goodness! Last Thursday was Girl’s Night Out (and morning out) and I am still on a high from it all. We had so much fun ohhing and ahhhing over the new catalog, sharing ideas, stamping, and of course enjoying treats! If you haven’t seen the New Catalog Products, check them out here!

Girl's Night Out Fun, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I always have intentions to snap photos during the event of everyone but always forget. Once people start arriving, the real fun begins. Catching up on summer plans and picking out new favorite products is always the chatter! Stamping, enjoying Caramel Illini Bars, and picking out prizes is the activity!!! I had a full crowd for both the morning and evening and before I knew it everyone was gone and no pictures were taken. But sooooo much fun was had and that’s all that matters! If you want to check out the cards that we made, click here for one of them and stayed tuned till Monday for the other!

For all of you out there who aren’t local to attend the party, let me know in the comments what your favorite new products are and what you summer plans are!!!! I would love to hear from you!

The top picks at Girl’s Night Out were the Bird Ballad Suite and Magnolia Lane Suite.

This weekend I’m heading over to see my girls in Paris, IL and I can’t wait to party all over again!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend too! Happy Stampin’

My Baby Is One!!!

Posted on

I can’t believe it!!! My Baby is One!!! Little Ziggy has been in our arms for 1 year! It’s crazy! Do you all remember when we called her Ziggy and thought we might forever call her that because it was stuck in our heads? Now it sounds weird to say Ziggy! We had a fabulous Birthday Party over the weekend with theme One In A Melon!

My Baby Is One, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These were actually created with an old Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set. You can check it out here! Paper Pumpkin is super fabulous for having random words and images for using on lots of different projects!

The card base is Real Red. I really went back and forth on whether to use a shade of pink or red. I went with red because I knew I could find that color in paper products, etc. for the party! Next, I stamped the Buffalo Check in Basic Black onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I used the Stamparatus for this to get the perfect look and re-stamp it if I missed a spot with the ink. For the watermelon, I fussy cut them out after stamping them! Then I added 1 flat and 1 with Stampin’ Dimensionals! The greeting was stamped from another Paper Pumpkin Kit onto a Rectangle Stitched Shape with a little Call Me Clover bow in the corner!

One In A Melon, www.LaurasStampPad.com

As I type this on Claire’s birthday eve and look through all these photos, my heart is full and my eyes a bit wet! I have been a bit emotional this weekend just reflecting back on a year ago. Having my water break, being in labor for 33 hours, and having a baby via c-section on Memorial Day! Seeing this beautiful baby girl in my arms and how much she has grown and learned in just 1 year! My mind is blown and my heart is full! I just love her so much and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and we will be back to New Catalog preparation tomorrow! For now, I’m off to celebrate because my baby is one!

Happy Stampin’
