Pretty Petals Card Bundle!!!

Posted on

Yesterday, I shared how you can create over 70 cards with the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack! Today I’m going to share the rest of the samples with you! Let’s get started!

Anniversary Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Very Vanilla card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/4″ x 4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! The Designer Series Paper is layered onto a piece of Mint Macaron measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. I wrapped some Silver Baker’s Twine around the paper and tied it into a knot. The greeting is from the Blessed By God Stamp Set and die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits. I added the greeting to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I punched out two hearts with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch and added a Pearl to one of them. It is so cute! It makes it look like a little girl and boy heart! This card would be perfect for an Anniversary or Wedding!

Polka Dots and Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Very Vanilla card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/4″ x 4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! The greeting is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set and die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits. I added the greeting to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flowers were stamped with the Flower Shop Stamp Set and punched out with the coordinating Pansy Punch (Bundle & Save 15%). I added the flowers to the card with Stampin Dimensionals and placed a few Pearls on each! I love the Black and White with a pop of color!

Lace - Thank You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Mint Macaron card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! I cut the piece of Designer Series Paper into 2 pieces so I could use both sides. The top piece measures 4″ x 2-1/4″ and the bottom measures 4″ x 3″! I tied a bow at the spot that the paper comes together with the Mint Macaron Lace Trim! I stamped the greeting from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set!

Pretty Petals Thank You Note, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Calypso Coral card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 3-3/4″” x 5″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! With some of the leftover pieces, I cut a 3-3/4″ x 1″ piece to use the back side pattern for that strip under the greeting. The greeting is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set and punched out with the 2″ Circle Punch, then layered onto a 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch! I layered the Designer Series Paper onto a piece of Old Olive measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and then placed the other strip of Designer Series Paper on the top half! I attached the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I tied a bow with some Calypso Coral Seam Binding!

Butterfly Moment, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Calypso Coral card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/4″” x 4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! I stamped the butterfly from the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set in Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral and Watermelon Wonder! Click here to see a tutorial on that. I die cut the butterfly with the coordinating Bold Butterfly Framelits (Bundle & Save 15%). I added the butterfly to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished it off with a few Pearls. For the greeting, I used the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set on a Lots of Labels Die Cut that was cut in half. I love the look like it’s a banner coming down!

Cross Over Happiness, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Very Vanilla card base and I embossed the front with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 2″ x 5″ and 3″ x 2″. You can get 1 of the big pieces and 3 of the little pieces from one sheet. Since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, you can create at least 6 cards like this! The larger piece is layered on a piece of Pacific Point measuring 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The smaller piece of DSP was layered onto a piece of Old Olive measuring 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″. I added this to the card with Stampin Dimensionals on the right hand side and Snail Adhesive on the left. This makes it level across! I stamped the greeting from the Blessed By God Stamp Set and punched it out with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch! I finished the card off with a few punched flowers with the Petite Petals Punch and some Black Candy Dots! TIP: If you run out of black, you can always color in any of the other colors with a black sharpie!

Pretty Petals Card Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the cards that I created with each sheet in the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack! You can get multiples of each of these cards and then use the leftover scrap pieces to create quilt cards like these samples! I will be posting a few of these today and the rest tomorrow!!! 🙂 Let’s get started!

Butterfly Lovely Amazing You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Calypso Coral card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/2″ x 2″. You can get 3 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 12 cards like this! The border on the top and bottom is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from the Lovely Amazing You Stamp Set and punched it out with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch! The butterflies were punched out from the Elegant Butterfly Punch and Bitty Butterfly Punch!

Sympathy Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Mint Macaron card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 2″ x 5-1/2″. You can get 3 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 12 cards like this! The border along the side is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from the August Paper Pumpkin Kit and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch! The butterflies were stamped from the Papillion Potpourri Stamp Set and then punched out from the Elegant Butterfly Punch and Bitty Butterfly Punch!

Coral Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Calypso Coral card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! The Designer Series Paper is layered onto Old Olive measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. I wrapped some Gold Baker’s Twine around the left edge and tied it into a bow! The greeting is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I die cut the greeting out with the Deco Label Framelits and added a layer of Old Olive with the next frame size up! I added a flower that was punched out with the Petite Petals Punch and I placed a Pearl in the center!

Quick Simple Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Very Vanilla card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 2″ x 5-1/2″. You can get 3 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 12 cards like this! The border on the left and right of the DSP is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from the same set and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch!

Birthday Circles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Pacific Point card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/4″ x 4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! I used some of my scraps of cardstock in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pacific Point. I used various sizes of circle punches. The greeting is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I thought the circles looked a little plain at first so I added the little stitches around the edges and I think it really makes them pop! Love it!! This would make a fabulous kid’s card!

I will be posting the rest of the cards in the set tomorrow! If you would like to see all of this in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or by clicking here! If you liked the video, be sure to give it a thumbs up! Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss tomorrow’s post! 🙂

So much texture!!!

Flower Texture Layers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I feel like I mention it a lot but texture on a card can really make it go from nice to FABULOUS! This card is fabulous for sure to me! I love all of the textures with the doily, ribbon loop, and embossed cardstock. Do you think it is too much? Let me know in the comments below if you like texture or not!!!

I started with a Wisteria Wonder card base and stamped the greeting from You’ve Got This in Basic Black on the bottom. Then I took a piece of Cucumber Crush and ran it through the Big Shot in the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card on the right side. I added a 1/3 piece of a White Tea Lace Doily to the edge of the Cucumber Crush. You can cut the doily into 3 pieces and really get the most out of each one! 🙂 For the flower, I stamped it from the You’ve Got This Stamp Set in Stazon Black onto Watercolor Paper. I used an Aqua Painter to color in the flower in Wisteria Wonder, Rich Razzleberry, and Cucumber Crush! I love how it turned out with the shading and all. Watercoloring is something that usually something I feel like I either nail it or it’s ehhh! After the flower was completely dry, I layered it onto Tip Top Taupe with Tear and Tape because I like to use a strong adhesive to really hold down the watercolor paper since it isn’t always flat. I added a little loop of Cucumber Crush Lace Trim to the right hand lower side of the flower before adding it to my card front. This is a great way to use those little scraps at the end of a roll or that you trimmed off from another project! Love it!!!

You can check out more samples using this stamp set here, here and here!

Gold & Coral!!!

Posted on

Garden in Bloom, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I really like the color combination of this card. That light green (Pear Pizzazz) mixed with Calypso Coral and a little flash of gold! Love it!!!

I started with a Pear Pizzazz card base. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 5-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ and added a 1″ strip of Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper to the right hand side!! I know the vanilla piece seems like an odd size but I had lots of scraps in this size and it worked!!! Got to use up those scraps or they will take over the world!!! 🙂 After I added the Designer Series Paper, I stamped the flower from the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set. Since it is a photopolymer stamp set, you can bend the stamp to create an angled stem! The stem and leaves are in Pear Pizzazz and the flower was done in Calypso Coral. I love the look. I stamped the greeting from the same stamp set in Basic Black. The greeting is so sweet and meaningful! To finish it off, I wrapped some of the Metallic Gold Baker’s Twine around twice and tied it into a bow! I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!!

coral flower, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another sample using the other side of the same piece of Designer Series Paper! One of my class attendees decided to use the back side. I love it!!!

Fabulous Flower Bouquet!!!

Posted on

Purple Flower Bouquet, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is absolutely FABULOUS!!! Flowers, Purple, Rhinestones, and a scroll-y font greeting!!!! I big puffy heart love love love this card! I could do this card in any color and love them all!!! They would make a great gift for someone! You can check out more samples using this stamp set here and here! Now let’s get started on how I created this beauty!

I started with a Wisteria Wonder card base! I then took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and stamped the leaves in Cucumber Crush on the lower right corner and upper left corner! The leaves and flowers came from the Flower Patch Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits (Bundle & Save)! I stamped the scallop large flower and the pointy flower in Wisteria Wonder on scrap Whisper White cardstock and then die cut them out!! Click here to see a Video Tutorial that shows tips on how to line up your Framelits! I stamped the smaller flower in the center of the pointy flower with Elegant Eggplant! I added these flowers to my card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to really make the flowers pop and have dimension. Once I had the flower in place, I stamped the little mini flowers all around in Elegant Eggplant and the greeting from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set in Wisteria Wonder! To finish it off, I added Rhinestones to the center of the big flower, the I in Birthday, and randomly placed around the other flowers! I love the random bling!!! It really grabs your attention from all angles! Love it!!!

What color would you use to create this card?? Let me know in the comments below!

Black and Yellow Flowers!!!

Posted on

Yellow Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I really love Black and White with a pop of color!!!! Yellow really pops when it is paired with Black and these flowers do just that!!! I started with a Daffodil Delight card base and added a piece of Neutrals Designer Series Paper (Black Strip) to the right hand side (3″ x 5-1/2″). Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped my flowers and stems from the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set!!! I love that since the stamp set is photopolymer you can bend the stem on the clear block for a cute curve! I used Pear Pizzazz for the stem and Memento Black for the flower border. For the flower, I used Daffodil Delight for the large petals and Hello Honey for the accent petals! I left the center of mine open because I just wasn’t sure what I wanted there – yellow center, black center, white center, or glitter center? What do you think?? Leave me a comment down below!!! I layered my stamped white piece to a piece of Basic Black and added it to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished it off with adding a few Daffodil Delight Candy Dots to the top corner for a little more POP and texture!!!

Flower with Leaves, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So then at my Stamp Class, we were creating this card and they asked me why I didn’t have any leaves on my stem. I had no clue. It never occurred to me to add leaves. They all added the leaves and the card is just that much more stunning!!! I really really like the leaves added!! I love sharing ideas with others, you never know what you will come up with!!! Thank you ladies!!!

Leaves? No Leaves? Black Center, White Center or Glitter Center??? Let me know what you think in the comments below!!!

Quick and Simple Flower Card!!!

Posted on

Simple Flower Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

If you are looking for a quick and simple card that you can create with any color that you have on hand, this is the card for you!!! I love flowers and tend to make lots of cards with flowers on them. The Flower Patch Stamp Set has been lots of fun to play with and make lots of different styles of cards! You can check out this card that I posted earlier that was more detailed but this one we are going for quick and simple.

I started with a Whisper White card base. Then I took a piece of colored cardstock (I used Rose Red) measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. With another piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″), I stamped the stem in Cucumber Crush and the flowers in Pink Pirouette and Rose Red. I adhered this to the card front and added some Rhinestones to the centers of the flowers! It is as simple as that.

You could use any color combination that you have available at home – yellow/orange, shades of purple, shades of blue, shades of red. The possibilities are endless. If you wanted to make the card even simpler, you could stamp right onto the Whisper White card base and not have the extra layers. If you wanted to step it up a little, you could stamp a greeting and punch it out, add ribbon, stamp the flowers onto scrap white and then use the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits (Bundle & Save 15%) to cut them out and pop them up. There are lots of different ways you could create this card. Let me know how you would create this card in the comments below – just like mine or with some stepped up items???

August Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

Happy Labor Day!!!! No need to labor today because this fabulous kit does all the hard work for you!!!

August Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

From the moment I opened the August Paper Pumpkin Kit (video here), I was in love!!! Pink mixed with Black, Vanilla, and Gold is just amazing! The little gold foil ribbons on the card front. The adorable boxes with the flowers on top. The AMAZING stamp set with a beautiful font and perfect greetings. There is just so much fabulous-ness in one box and it’s awesome!!! For the tags, I stamped ALL OF THEM at one time. I just used the different images from the stamp set and did a little bit of everything. I love the With Sympathy greeting because it is a beautiful font and I was in need of a good Sympathy stamp. Thank you, Stampin’ Up!!! Stampin’ Up! must have known it was my Birthday month and hand-picked this amazing one for me! 🙂 After stamping all of the greetings, I went and had lunch to allow them to dry since it is Craft Ink. I came back and assembled the rest of the kit!!!

Gold & Vanilla Gift Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the 3 boxes that come in the kit. As always the kits come with plenty of supplies….including ribbon….so I only followed the directions for one box and just wrapped it around. For another box, I wrapped it around and tied a knot. For the third box, I had enough leftover to tie a bow!!! Love it! The flowers were very simple to assemble and look stunning. I didn’t really complete these boxes since I am not sure how I will use them so I just placed the flower on top and the ribbon can be slid off.

Pink with Gold Foil Ribbons, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Be still my heart. These light pink cards with gold foil ribbons on them are just to die for. I mixed up one of the banners and added a Vanilla banner to one of these and a pink banner to one of the other cards. Just wanted to mix it up a bit.

Gold Foil Stripes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Simple and yet so elegant! I love it!!! Of course, there is still so much leftover from the kit as well…..besides the ink pad and stamp set. There were 3 tags left which I couldn’t seem to find the 3rd at picture time.

Chalkboard Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

AND look at all of this fabulous pink paper!!!! I plan on keeping this to punch out some flower or something for a little extra flare to one of these cards or for another project!!!

Pink Leftover

So while I was making this kit, I thought this would be perfect for a Baby Girl Baby Shower!!! Use the cards for Invitations and the boxes as centerpieces/party favors or to hold the mints/nuts/silverware. Purchase refill kits (not available just yet but soon) for even more cards for Thank You Notes or any other piece of the event. I love it!!! You could always cut up the cards to use an a banner strip on a card. That would create more cards from just one kit. There are just so many fabulous ways to create amazing cards!!!

If you aren’t a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? You missed out on this one but can purchase the refill kit once you are a subscriber. 🙂 BONUS!!! Also, if you sign up now (before September 10th), you can get your first 2 months at half price with the Promo Code: HALFOFF. That is an amazing steal. Technique Tuesday – Garden in Bloom!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday and Happy September!!! I can’t believe it! But that means that I have a fabulous technique to share with you – 2-Step Stamping AND the Holiday Mini Catalog is out!!! WOOT WOOT! It’s a fabulous day!!! Check out this beauty!!!

Bumble Bee Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So you all know I love flowers but that Bumble Bee steals the show on this card! Aren’t they precious??? I think so for sure!!! Now let’s get started on this Multi-Step Stamping card!!!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Garden in Bloom Stamp Set, Cardstock

Not a lot of items on the list this week! When you have a fabulous stamp set like this Garden in Bloom Set, you don’t need a lot of extra because the set has it all. The 2-Step Stamping (sometimes 3) technique really gives an image depth, texture, and a variation of colors. I love that!!! The Whisper White piece of cardstock that I stamped on measures 3-3/4″ x 5″. I started with the flower in the center. First, I stamped the outline of the flower in Memento Black Ink. There is a little arrow (or nubbin as I like to call it) on the stamp that you will want to take note of. This arrow is on every image for your flower. If you line those arrows up each time, your image will be placed correctly. I usually try to point the arrow UP or at another image on my paper to make it easy to remember.

Garden in Bloom, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Then I took the 6 petal image and inked it up in Melon Mambo. Remembering that my arrow was up last time, I will place the arrow up on this image to have perfect placement of these petals. How fabulous?!?! There is also a little oval (finger print) image in the stamp set that you can use for the center. I think it is actually for the bumble bee but it can be used for the flower as well. You could also color it in with a marker if you wish. I stamped the center of the flower in Crushed Curry!!! I stamped the little bumble bees in Memento Black Ink and then the centers with Crushed Curry. For the buzz lines, I used a Basic Black Marker!!! Those really made him come to life! I seriously squealed once I added those on. 🙂 The greeting is from the Happy Birthday Everyone Hostess Stamp Set!!! Love that font!

I will be posting more samples using this stamp set because I had so much fun with it!!! Stay tuned! If you want a sneak peak of those cards as well as a Video Tutorial on this Garden in Bloom Stamp Set, check out the video below or click here!!
