Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis!!!

Ronald McDonald House, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I have been a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator for 10 years now and I am so excited and blessed with all of the opportunities that I have had!!! Stampin’ Up sponsors Ronald McDonald Houses all over the world in many ways – monetary, creatively, donations, and so much more!!! As you know I have been doing my part as well by collecting and sending in Soda Tabs and hand-stamped cards! I have even gotten my customers to participate as well! You can check out my last package I sent here! Well this past weekend I was able to actually visit one of the Ronald McDonald Houses in St. Louis and make breakfast for those who were staying in the house! It was the most amazing experience ever! I loved being able to see the House and everything it offers for those who have loved ones in the hospital. Together with a group of amazing ladies, we made breakfast casseroles, fruit, granola bars, milk, and juice for the families! We chatted with a few of the families and I realized that one family was from my hometown! This is when it hit home (literally). I was so proud to be able to help those in need! Ronald McDonald House is amazing and I am so happy I was able to contribute! If you would like to donate tabs, greeting cards, or any other supplies, I am collecting goodies for my next batch to send! You will get a $10 Gift Certificate to use towards a Stampin’ Up order or one of my Classes for your donation. (Only one Gift Certificate per batch will be given!) The next batch will probably be sent around the end of July so you have time to get those goodies to me!

Amazing Events and Anniversary Special!!!!

Posted on

Every year in April, 100 demonstrators gather together for one of the most amazing weekends ever!!! I have met many of them in years past and it is always great to get together and catch up and chat Stampin’! There are also lots of new people and one of the things I love the most about Stampin’ Up is meeting new people!!!! There were five ladies at my table this year that I had never met before and it was so great to hear their stories and swap ideas!!! After all, that is what Stampin’ Up is all about – CASEing (Copy And Share Everything). 🙂 The event consisted of Inspiring Speakers, Samples, Stampin’ Demonstrations, Techniques, Samples, Laughter, PRIZES and more Samples!!!!

Spring Into Stampin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are just a few of the amazing ideas and samples I saw at the event! My mind is just exploding and I have been “playing” in my stamp room every day since just trying out these new ideas. Eeeee It was sooooo much fun! The picture of ME is while I was doing a demonstration of Wedding Items. You all know how I love weddings and so I shared some of my wedding samples!!!

Spring Into Stampin, www.LaurasStampPad.comOne of my favorite parts of the event was this service project that we were able to participate in for Ronald McDonald House! You can see here that Stampin’ Up and lots of Demonstrators do a lot to support the Ronald McDonald House. At the Spring Into Stampin’ Event, we stamped adorable animal images from the Storybook Friends Stamp Set onto 6 Notecards and Envelopes. We then stuck them in a little Polka Dot cellophane bag with some crayons and added a tag! They were super cute and will be given to the children at the Ronald McDonald House to enjoy! 🙂 Love it!!!

Then there is the Annual Photo that I love taking – me and my upline – Meg!!!! She is the one who had that workshop 10 years ago and asked me if I would be interested in joining the fun! UM…YEAH I WOULD! Now 10 years later, I’m having the time of my life! Speaking of 10 years, April 19th is my official Anniversary Date and I’m offering a special starting TODAY!!!!

Starting today, when you place an online order using the HOSTESS CODE: XNYWCB4B, you will get a FREE gift from me!!!! I have Stamp Sets, Big Shot Dies, Ribbon, Designer Series Paper, and so much more that is just waiting to be in your stamp collection. But wait there’s more, I will also be drawing one lucky winner to get ALL of the Hostess Benefits!!!! Who doesn’t love FREE STUFF! This special will end on April 25th!!! I hope you enjoy celebrating with me!

Ronald McDonald House Love!

Posted on

Ronald McDonald House, www.LaurasStampPad.comStampin’ Up has been giving to the Ronald McDonald House for many many years now. Each year they pick a Stamp Set that for every purchase of that set, they donate $3.00. This year it is the Tag It Stamp Set and I love love love that set! You can check out some samples using it here and here! I decided I wanted to join in! I have a little Ronald McDonald House in my kitchen to collect soda tabs! My husband has really gotten into it and he told everyone at work so now they all drop their tabs into his lunch bag each day! We fill the little house (sandwich baggie full) about every 3-4 months! When I send in my tabs, I always include some hand-stamped cards for them to use at the Ronald McDonald House! I know how much a hand-stamped card can brighten my day and so I wanted to share that with all of those at the house as well. Recently, I have told all of my stampers that they can join in the fun as well. They can bring their tabs and/or cards to me and I will mail them in with mine! I have had such an amazing response! In the photo above, you can see that I received LOTS of tabs AND cards! I’m so excited and can’t wait to send them in!!!! I will post more when I have it all ready to go later this month!!!! If you are local and would like to donate cards or tabs, feel free to bring them by any time or bring them to the next stamp event! If you are not local, you can donate to your local Ronald McDonald House. Click here to find one close to you and learn more about this fabulous organization!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Posted on

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! I love Valentine’s Day because it is a wonderful day of showing your love! Of course, we should show our love every day of the year but this day is dedicated to it! Here are some of the ways I showed my love!

Valentine's Day Treat Bags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Each of my nieces and nephews got a little monster with a piece of candy in it! I thought those were fitting….after all they are all my little monsters. 😉 The treat bags went to their parents! I didn’t want to leave them out and of course if the children needed more candy, there was plenty in there! And this fabulous card went to my #1 Valentine – MY HUSBAND!

Be My Valentine, www.LaurasStampPad.com

That card was created with the Banner Blast Stamp Set and matching Banner Punch from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! The little heart made a perfect background as well as a cute banner! I used Strawberry Slush cardstock and ink on this one….of course it had to be PINK, my favorite! I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and know that I love you all today and every day!

 Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Posted on

Today is my Mom’s Birthday and in celebration I thought I would do a little post about her!!!!!

Flip Flop Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is perfect for her and while it isn’t the exact card I sent her on her Birthday, her’s did have the little lizard on it! She really likes little lizards. And you might think that this card looks a little like a kid’s card but that is perfectly fine! My Mom is the biggest kid I know! She really knows how to have fun and play! She is an amazing Grandma for that too! Roller coasters, concerts, swimming, games and so much more are some of the fun and crazy things we have all enjoyed together!

My Mom isn’t a hardcore stamper like me but she does enjoy stamping! Every year we get together and create her Christmas Cards which I love doing! You can check that out here! When I get to share what I love with someone I love, it is even more special to me! 🙂 My mom has had a few stamp classes at her house before too which is always so much fun and lots of laughs! I am planning one for next month already and I can’t wait! January was out of the question because she is in Hawaii while the rest of us are “enjoying” this fabulous winter weather we have been getting. Boo (sarcasm)! I can’t wait to celebrate my Mom’s Birthday this weekend with her! Leave a comment below and I will share all your Birthday wishes with my Mom!!!

Feeling Loved with Hand-Stamped Cards!!!

Posted on

My Board, www.LaurasStampPad.comThis board is located in my Stamp Room! It started out to be a board that I could post notes, samples, and words of encouragement. It then took over with all the AMAZING cards and notes that I have received from customers, my team members, upline members, and so much more! I love love love this board because it is so colorful and amazing and makes me smile every time I look at it. I love the power of a hand-stamped card (or any card for that matter). There are also a few super sweet emails that I have received from customers that I had printed and posted on there. There is my certificate showing that I placed 17th in our big group of amazing stampers (sooo excited about that)!! There is also a letter for each time that I have sent goodies to the Ronald McDonald House! I find it super amazing that they appreciate and are thankful for all of the items that they receive! I thought this board was getting out of hand so I decided (it was a hard decision) to take them all down and start fresh with the new year. It was amazing and so heart-felt to take down the cards and re-read each of them! It warms my heart so much to know that Stampin’ Up! and my stamping business have made such an impact on others! And I want you all to know that you mean so much to me and your kind words are very much appreciated! Thank you for a wonderful 2013 and I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store for me! Hope to stamp with you all soon whether it be in person or virtually! 🙂

Technique Tuesday – Mario Card

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means – Technique Time! This is the card that I created for my husband for his Birthday! Of course he is super special to me so I wanted to make sure I made a super special card for him! He is a huge gamer and LOVES Mario! With a few punches and some cardstock, this is what I have created!
Mario Card, www.LauasStampPad.comThis was the card was created with Early Espresso as the base and mustache! Pink Pirouette was used for his face and nose! Whisper White, Basic Black and Tempting Turquoise were used for the eyes with different Oval Punches. Real Red was used for the hat! Using my sponge daubers, I added the same color as the cardstock to the nose and hat to add dimension!

Mario Card, www.LauasStampPad.com

The mustache was the hardest part….getting the size correct and the bump bumps (wish there was a mustache punch 😉 )!! Also, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder for a little texture!

The inside of the card had a One Up and Power Up on the left side! Those were created with my Corner Rounder Punch and Circle Punches! The Happy Birthday Greeting came from the Bring On the Cake Stamp Set! I love stamping that image and coloring in all the letters!

My husband LOVED IT! He lite up like a little kid in a candy store and then said so is this a challenge? Remember his adorable card, he “stamped” for me? I think so!!! Can’t wait to see what else we create! You can create just about anything with Stampin’ Up stamps, punches, cardstock, and embellishments!
