Fun at the Ronald McDonald House!!!

I love the Ronald McDonald House and ever since last year when I went to make breakfast for those living there, I have really wanted to go back! I decided to sign up to make dinner and it all happened on last week!!! It was so much fun!!!

We made Tacos (it was Tuesday after all) and had it all laid out for them to eat. Then we cleaned up and put everything in the refrigerator with a label on it. They say that many of those staying there come back late in the evening and reheat the food then!

I got to pour my tabs into this big tab house!!!! It was lots of fun! You may have seen in past posts that we collect tabs at home to send to the Ronald McDonald House! Even though the tabs I added didn’t seem to fill this house very much, I know every tab helps!

Punch Art – Kirby!!!

Happy Friday!!!! If you have been following my blog for awhile now, you know that my husband and I make each other cards for Birthdays and Valentine’s Day. After the first time, my husband said, “So it’s on?” Ever since we try to come up with new and fun cards!!! You can check out the past ones here, here and here! Brad’s birthday was on Wednesday and here is what I came up with!

It’s Kirby!!!! Isn’t he cute? My husband likes to play video games and I think Kirby is just adorable. I created him with a few punches and lots of love! 🙂 Especially since I was all done and I stamped the greeting on the top with a very large clear block (you know where I’m going here) and I got ink on the clear block and also on Kirby’s cheek. I wanted to cry. I texted my husband that I messed it up and he said I’ll love it anyway. Awwww So then I redid it!!!

I used a 3″ Circle from the Circle Framelits in Pink Pirouette for the body. The eyes use the Small Oval Punch in Basic Black with another punched in Pacific Point and trimmed down with scissors. The white circles were punched out from the Owl Builder Punch! I used my Basic Black Marker for the smile and my Melon Mambo Sponge Dauber for the cheeks! I punched out 2 Extra Large Ovals in Pink Pirouette for the arms and one in Melon Mambo for the front foot. For the back foot, I punched out a 1-1/4″ Circle in Melon Mambo. I brushed the edges of the Melon Mambo feet with my Sponge Dauber for that darker edge look! Believe it or not, I didn’t use Stampin’ Dimensionals! I used the Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine for the lasso! The greeting is from the Age Awareness Stamp Set and I did that in Pacific Point! I hope you enjoyed this little Punch Art Tutorial! Showing Our Love to Ronald McDonald House!

Many of you know that Stampin’ Up has partnered with Ronald McDonald House! The Flamingo Lingo Stamp Set is the Ronald McDonald House Stamp Set this year and every set that is purchased, Stampin’ Up donates $3.00 to Ronald McDonald House! For the past several years, I have been collecting soda tabs and greeting cards to send to the local Ronald McDonald House! Amazing Birthday Weekend!!!

Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day!!! I hope you are enjoying this long weekend (if you actually get the day off)! I used the long weekend as an excuse to celebrate me birthday even longer!!!! As some of you may know, my husband (who is not the crafty one in the house) has started making my cards for all occasions! You can check out his other card here! I absolutely love it because it’s handmade and it was made by my sweetie! Well here is the card I got for my Birthday this year!

He used a Whisper White card base with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White layers. He had drew the little Domo character on the top of the cake and the cake was created with Very Vanilla & Pink Pirouette cardstock. NOTE: He even picked through my scraps of Vanilla and found textured cardstock. Bonus Points! Of course the scallops were created with the Scallop Border Punch! The greeting is from Remembering Your Birthday and he covered up the word sprinkles with Domo! I love it and think he did an amazing job!!!!

I had a class scheduled for August 28th, the day before my Birthday!  As I was planning the projects, I thought this will be my Birthday Celebration class so we shall do all things Birthday, add in some PINK and lots of FUN! Well fun was had for sure! I think my neighbors a few blocks away must have been wishing they could have joined in the fun! We were laughing, chatting and having a good time!!!! It was the perfect Birthday Celebration! I made cupcakes for everyone and they all had a candle in them! One of my stampers shares my Birthday so it was wonderful to celebrate with her as well! I LOVE the people, relationships, and fun that Stampin’ Up! has brought to my life! I am so very thankful for Stampin’ Up and all of these amazing ladies that celebrated with me and those that weren’t able to attend! Thank you all! You are AMAZING!

Happy 1 Year Blog Anniversary!!!

One In A Minion!!!

My sweetie and I celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary last week and I thought I would show you the card that I had for him!

I love making cards for loved one and even more when I can customize the card for the specific occasion or person!!! Brad and I are and always will be kids at heart so I thought this card was perfect for our Anniversary! You can check out some of our past cards here and here! I love minions and Despicable Me (2 more than the first one)! Here are some tips on how I made this adorable card!

I used Crumb Cake as my base, Daffodil Delight as my Minion, and Night of Navy for his overalls. To get the rounded head, I took one of my Circles Framelits and laid it on top as a template to cut! For the eye, I used my Circle Punches (3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, and 1-3/8″) To create his eye piece, I actually punched out Crumb Cake with my 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and then using the negative (leftover piece and not the circle, I punched with my 1-3/8″ Punch. This gives me that ring! I did raise the ring up with Stampin Dimensionals!! I didn’t have any black buttons on hand so I just created paper ones! I used the 3/4″ Circle Punch and then took my Chalk Marker and created the holes! I used my Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set for the greeting! I love how the photopolymer stamps are completely clear so you can see your placement perfectly (even though I’m still not the best at stamping in a perfect line 😉 ….I stamp crooked on purpose.)

Of course, Brad walked in and said a MINION! I love it! I call that a success! 🙂
