Coloring the Lovely Lattice!!!

Posted on

Hello Stampers!!! Do you like to color?? Do you have time to color?? I am somewhere in the middle. Sometimes, I don’t mind coloring a little bit but too much overwhelms me. I DO love bright colors and lots of colorful images though!!! Today, I’m sharing a card that is just that! Coloring the Lovely Lattice Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set would take some time but here I achieved beautiful color quickly!

Coloring the Lovely Lattice, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I started with a Real Red card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and stamped the Lovely Lattice image on the top of it. I used the Spectrum Pad which I inked up with the following colors: Real Red, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, and Pineapple Punch. Since the image is rather large, I left the inks apart and inked across the image moving slightly up and down as I went across to ensure full coverage of ink.

Lovely Lattice Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

After stamping the image, I decorated and stamped the greeting on the bottom. I just couldn’t decide which one I liked the best. A simple greeting and some of the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins or a greeting and some Pineapple Punch Ribbon. Then for the third one, I punched the greeting out with the Pretty Label Punch and brushed the edges in Real Red Ink with a Sponge Dauber. Which one do you like the best???

Flippin’ Frogs!!!

Posted on

These little frogs from Sale-A-Bration are just adorable. When looking at this card, I thought Flippin’ Frogs because they are all over the place. That reminds me of this crazy “game” at my parents house for the kids to play. The adults hate it because it’s just a tree with rubber frogs all over and then after some time the tree pops and the frogs go flying. There is no real “game” or strategy to it but the kids (grandkids) LOVE IT and pull it out every time. I’ll take this card over that game any day!!!

Flippin' Frogs, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t they adorable?? I really love how this card turned out!!! The framelits I used for these are no longer available as they sold out very quickly. So for those of you who snagged them before they were gone, have fun recreating this card. For those who didn’t get them, I hope you enjoy fussy cutting! 🙂

I started with a Call Me Clover card base. Next, I stamped the flies from the So Hoppy Together Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set all over a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and colored a few of them with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I really struggled with this because I wanted a bit of color to make them pop but didn’t really want to color them all. I decided to color 5 and that was it….no more or less. Random doesn’t really work well with me as I tend to color this one and that one and one over here and soon I have colored them all. 🙂

So Hoppy Together, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I stamped each of the frogs from the So Hoppy Together Stamp Set and used the coordinating Hop Around Framelits (sold out) to die cut them. You may wonder where that middle front came from….I cut the unicycle off. Each frog was stamped in Call Me Clover and colored with the Call Me Clover Stampin’ Blends. To make the frogs stand out a bit more, I added a punched circle of vellum cardstock behind each one. I really love that look….subtle but adds texture and pop!

Frogs & Flies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I added a piece of Whisper White with a few stamps flies and a frog! I have really been loving to decorate the insides of my cards!!!

Don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st so there are only a few days left to get this So Hoppy Together Stamp Set and other freebies for every $50 you spend. Click here to start shopping!

All Adorned!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know what that means….I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! This All Adorned Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set is perfect to use on a Stamparatus because the images interlock. The set is photopolymer so you can see through the images and use it on blocks as well!

All Adorned, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving Night of Navy and Pineapple Punch together. The contrast is AMAZING and the colors work for many occasions. This card is perfect to have on hand and just stamp a greeting on the inside when you need it.

I started with a 4″ x 8″ Night of Navy card base. I wanted the square look since the pattern looks better for a square. It still fits into a regular envelope with a little room on the side but that’s okay and this way it will still cost the same postage. Next, I took a piece of Pineapple Punch measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and stamped the corner image on each corner. This was super simple with the Stamparatus. Simply line it up to stamp in one corner and then rotate your cardstock around! Perfectly lined up and in the corner each time! I love that!

Then for that fabulous focal point, I stamped the 2 layering images overlapping each other using the Stamparatus. First, stamp 1 of the images. I started with the Night of Navy image. Next, place the other stamp over the top and pick it up with the clear plate of the Stamparatus. Then ink it in Pineapple Punch and stamp. That image was then punched out with a 2″ Circle Punch and layered onto a Night of Navy piece punched out with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch. I added these to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the Bride, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I stamped a few of the images on the corners to make it all match with the front. I used the greeting from the Well Said Stamp Set because I’m going to use this card for an upcoming Bridal Shower!! The perfect little card for any occasion!

Now is the time to get the Stamparatus because you just need $1 more and you will earn this All Adorned Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set for FREE!!! Click the supply list below to start shopping!

Celebrate with Cupcakes!!!

Posted on

Cupcakes are my favorite dessert followed by cheesecake. I love to make cupcakes and decorate them too! I think I have made cheesecake like twice…it is so expensive to make and finicky. So when it’s time for a celebration, we celebrate with cupcakes! What is your favorite dessert to eat, make, or celebrate with?? Let me know in the comments below!

celebrate with cupcakes, www.laurasstamppad.com

Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st so this is the last week. Get these cupcakes before they are gone! Unfortunately, the coordinating Call Me Cupcake Framelits are sold out already. If you were lucky and got a set, you can recreate this card exactly. If you missed out, You can always fussy cut out the cupcake or just stamp it in the corner!

I started with a Granny Apple Green card base and layered on a piece of Lovely Lipstick (4″ x 5-1/4″). Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the little flower in Lovely Lipstick. You can stamp all over as a background or in a upper left to lower right diagonal pattern. For the greeting, I stamped it in Granny Apple Green Ink and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. All of the images on this card come from the Hello Cupcake Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. Using a little bit of the Lovely Lipstick Ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Pack in a loop, I placed it down and added the greeting on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the cupcake, I stamped the liner in Crumb Cake and the cake in So Saffron Ink. I love lemon cake or just a yellow cake. Yellow cake reminds me of my Grandma! 🙂 The icing was stamped in Lovely Lipstick and the little heart was stamped in Granny Apple Green. All 4 of these images were then die cut with the coordinating Call Me Framelits. If you have them, fabulous but if not, no worries. You can just fussy cut the images or stamp these directly to the Whisper White layer (just don’t stamp flowers in that corner). A final little touch that I did was add some Wink of Stella to the icing for a little shine! It did bleed the ink a bit but I was okay with that for a soft pink all around! Still looks tasty to me!

Check out the supply list below so you can create this card and earn the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set for Free with Sale-A-Bration (free item with every $50 spent).

Laura’s Quick Tips: Assemble Cling Stamps!!!

Posted on

Hello stampers!!! Today, I’m sharing another one of Laura’s Quick Tips!!! I had some customers the other day at class watch me assemble a stamp set and they were in awe. They said to do that again because it wasn’t how they did it and this was much easier. If they are asking, I’m sure all of you are wondering as well! Here we go…

Assemble Cling Stamps, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Time to get those stamp sets and assemble them so they are ready to go when you need a card quickly or when you want to just sit and play. In fact, put on a movie or your favorite show and work on a few stamp sets tonight! This quick and simple trick makes it go fast!

Peel off the sticker from the back of the rubber stamp. Next, peel off the sticker back from the sticker sheet. DO NOT PULL THE STICKER OFF. Leave the sticker on the sheet. Then starting with a detailed side of the stamp, place it down on the sticker, guiding it around to make sure it lines up perfectly. Be sure not to bend, squish, or force the stamp so that it lands on the sticker nice and smooth and flat! Now just pick up the stamp and you are golden!

For some stamps, especially small ones, the sticker wants to come off the sheet once you pull off one side. Try your best to keep the sticker on the sheet. As long as 1 side of the backing is removed, place the stamp down like I mentioned above. It will stick to one side and the label is on the other side. That is okay and at least we know that it is secure and correct one half of the stamp. Now simply hold the sticker back and peel off the other side of the sticker. Now lay the stamp down and press over the top to secure that second half. This may sound confusing so I did a video tutorial below!

I hope you find this useful and enjoy getting all of your stamps ready to go for your next project. Let me know in the comments below if you liked this tip and if you are enjoying Laura’s Quick Tips. If you have a question that you would like answered, just ask and I will do my best to share the answer in the next episode of Laura’s Quick Tips!

Celebrating Happiness!!!

Posted on

Today, we shall be celebrating happiness! It is Wednesday after all and the week is half over. That is not all though, there are so many things to celebrate that make us happy! Remember all the good things in life and don’t dwell on the things we can’t change or the tough things you are going through. Celebrate Happiness!!!

Celebrating Happiness, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving this card and not just because it has a flower on it. I love the bright colors and all of the textures!! This card also uses the Free Stamp Set of the Month for March – Bloom By Bloom!!! All orders of $75 or more (before tax and shipping) earn this set for FREE! Click here to start shopping!

I started with a Lovely Lipstick card base and stamped the flower from the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set all over. Using Lovely Lipstick Ink, it gives a nice watermark or tone on tone look. Be sure to fall off the cardstock so the pattern looks continuous. Next, I took a piece of the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper (2″ x 4″) and punched it with the Banner Triple Punch. I added it to the card front flush with the left side.

Next, I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flower on it. Be sure to stamp the flower first and then the stem. This will ensure that the stem isn’t too high or too far over for the bloom to fit. The bloom was stamped in Lovely Lipstick and the stem in Call Me Clover. I added the greeting in the lower right corner from the Well Said Stamp Set. It was stamped in Night of Navy.

Well Said, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love the Well Said Stamp Set because it has perfect inside and outside greetings! I added a message on the inside as well as a little flower!

Back to the front focal point! After stamping, I layered this onto another piece of the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper. Taking a piece of the Calypso Coral Satin Ribbon folded in half, I laid it across the banner on the card front. The Stampin’ Dimensionals on the stamped flower layer secure this ribbon loop in place just perfectly!! To finish off the card, I added some Enamel Shapes to the flower for texture! Just perfect!

If you would like to recreate this card, click on the supply list below! Don’t forget that if your order is over $75 (before shipping and tax), you will get the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set for FREE from me!

Another fabulous offer…..I am starting Laura’s Quick Kits which are card kits with all the pre-cut cardstock and embellishments provided. All you need to do is stamp and assemble. The stamps, ink, and adhesive are not provided. Click here to get your first Laura’s Quick Kits – Bloom By Bloom!

Double Z Fold Candy Card!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!! You all know that means I have a fabulous technique for you! With Easter around the corner, let’s bring on ALL THE CANDY!!! Easter is my favorite holiday and Easter candy is AMAZING! Jelly Beans, Peeps, and Reese’s Eggs are just a few of my favorites. What is your favorite! Okay back to this fabulous technique of a Double Z Fold Candy Card!!!

Double Z Fold Candy Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it beautiful???? I am loving the fun colors. Hello, Lisa Frank! Am I right? Eeee It just makes me so happy. This card uses all the goodies in the How Sweet It Is Suite!

First, I started with a Coastal Cabana card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11. That is right, this is a regular card size! Simply fold in half like you normally would for a card and then fold that front piece back (in half) to create your first Z. You can also score it if you wish at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. I added a piece of the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper the the inside of the card (stripes ~ 4″ x 5-1/4″) and another piece to the left side front flap (polka dots ~ 4″ x 2-1/2″).

Birthday Treats, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for that second Z on our card, I used Gorgeous Grape (3″ x 9″) and scored it at 3″ and 6″. This creates three 3″ squares. Fold it to create a Z and add adhesive to the back square making sure the next square is on the left side. Place it down on the striped paper. Next, place the top Z on the polka dotted paper with the card all folded and laying flat. Place your fingers at the edge of the purple 3″ square as a guide to know how much adhesive you will need for that flap (video explains better). Lift the 3″ purple square and add adhesive to the polka dots. It is typically 2 lines of Snail Adhesive. Once your adhesive is down, place the Z over it by pressing flat. Don’t hold the card up to connect it or it might not close flat.

Candy Jar Die Cuts, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now it is time to decorate!!! Using the Jar of Sweets Framelits, I die cut out the candy jars from the How Sweet It Is Stamp Set. I love that these coordinate and line up perfectly. I also die cut the candy pieces with the framelits. Using the Sweetest Thing Stamp Set, I stamped the greetings to coordinate. Don’t forget you can bundle and save 10% when you get the stamps and framelits together! The Whisper White layers measure 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″! Just have fun with all the possibilities!!!

A Friend Is Thinking Of You!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! I hope you are ready to tackle the week. Sometimes Monday can seem like a fresh start, back on routine from the chaos of a weekend, and I’ve got a superwomen attitude! Then there are the weeks that I’m ready to crash from a busy weekend, my to-do list for the week isn’t created so I wander around wondering what to work on first. Those are the days that a simple smile from a stranger at the grocery store, a random text from a friend, or happy mail in the mailbox mean the most!!! Everything is quickly turned around and superwomen comes back! So today, I just want to say, “A friend is thinking of you and you got this!!!”

A Friend is Thinking of You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a quick and simple card that can be created in any color scheme and with any designer series paper. Perfect to create and have some on hand all the time!

I started with a Highland Heather card base and added a strip of the Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper (2″ x 5-1/4″). Next, I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the adorable huggers in Gorgeous Grape Ink. This is from the Artfully Aware Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog!! I love the images and greetings in this set as they are so heartwarming and perfect!

Then I layered this piece onto a layer of Gorgeous Grape. The greeting in the corner was stamped from the Part of My Story Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape Ink. Before adding the focal point, I laid down a strip of the Flax Ribbon. The Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the focal point help to hold the ribbon in place!

Part of My Story, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another similar version. I created this one portrait rather than landscape and I left off the ribbon. The card uses a different image and greeting but again using the same stamp sets! For this card, I colored in the image using Stampin’ Blends. I did use some of the Gingham Gala Sequins on both for a little extra flare.

Which one is your favorite??? If you want to recreate these cards, click the supply list below and remember there are only a few days of Sale-A-Bration left!! Every $50 in orders earns you a FREE item!
