16 Years of Fun!!!

Posted on

Officially my anniversary was yesterday but that’s the weekend so let’s keep the celebration going all week long! After all it’s been 16 Years of Fun so let’s continue on!!!

16 Years of Fun, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Each year that my Stampin’ Up Anniversary comes up, I like to reflect on it all. First off, it’s crazy that I’ve been stamping for 16 years or doing anything that long! The more amazing thing is that I still love it after 16 years. I enjoy the creative aspect even though I really don’t feel that creative. A good copier is what I like to think I am! 🙂

The biggest part of Stampin’ Up that keeps me going is the LOVE!!! Oh geez I may get emotional….good thing this isn’t a video! The people that I meet at stamping events and classes become like family to me. They/You have been there through the ups and downs of my life. They/You are part of my village for raising Claire and let me tell you, this village is amazing! I couldn’t do it without all of you! The smiles, tears, advice, and encouragement that I receive as well as others receive at my stamp classes, clubs, and events is AMAZING! Then there is the love that is mailed out or handed out that puts a smile on someone’s face. I can only hope they cherish that card and feel the love.

Stampin’ Up is not just a hobby or a job for me. It is so much more and I am happy that I jumped in with both feet after 1 workshop I attended. I didn’t order anything that night but took the catalog home. Flipping through it daily and thinking I need it all! Boy did I ever need it all!

So I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you for being a part of my 16 years and making it so special. Here’s to another 16 and more!!! I will have a few specials going on this week so stay tuned!

Today, I’m starting 1 special which is DOUBLE LAURA’S LOYAL STAMPERS STICKERS! Use the Hostess Code: DWN2SQVV when placing your order online or send me your order and mention this offer!!! This offer is valid till Friday, April 24, 2020 at noon!!! Click here to start shopping and earning!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my TOP 16 Favorite Products right now and of course my Daily Dose of Stampin’ Therapy on Facebook each week day! Let’s continue celebrating 16 years of fun!

Die Cutting Rectangles!

Posted on

I have another fabulous one of Laura’s Quick Tips to share with you today! I have received this question a few times lately so I thought I would share it on here too! If one person has it as a question, I’m sure many others do too! Today, I have tips for die cutting rectangles!!!

Die Cutting Rectangles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Many times when die cutting rectangles, squares, or any image with a long straight line and the image doesn’t cut very well. There are also many times it cuts perfectly fine which is a win! 🙂 If you have this happen to you, my tip is to run it through at a diagonal. This allows the die cutting machine to apply pressure on a smaller section with each crank through, rather than hitting a long line at the same time. Also, it is really hard to crank it through when a solid line is going through at once. When you place it in at a diagonal, it goes through smoother and easier which is fabulous!!

March 2020 Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

The March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit was AMAZING! I love the Spring look and the fun rain boots! It also came with an extra stamp set which is super fun too! Check out all 12 of the cards in this kit!

March 2020 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I just love all of these cards! The coordinating striped envelopes are super cute too! I’m not 100% sure which color goes with which card but that’s okay!

Cute Rain Boots, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is so fun because of all the colorful boots. My first card was that bottom left hand card. Notice that the green boots don’t line up with the girl’s boots. Oppps! I didn’t realize that they matched up and so I just placed the boots down. 🙂 No one will notice! This card has the clear raindrops on it that add just a little bit of texture and shine!

Bunnies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The bunny is adorable and makes this a fun Easter card! You can see that a I used the clear epoxy dots for this card. The photo doesn’t show it very well but there are like 3 above the flowers and 2 over by the bunny!

Waiting out the storm, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m not a huge fan of storms because….well…they are scary! Seeing these beautiful flowers and cute boots just proves to me that there is still beauty during the storm. There is hope that we will get through it and we will!

Paper Pumpkin is so much fun and I love getting something new each month that is a surprise! I love getting card kits that are perfect for the time of year we are in. Join in the fun with me and get Paper Pumpkin too! Click here to sign up for 1 month or as long as you want!

Snail Adhesive Tips!!!

Posted on

Good morning everyone!!! Today, I’m sharing one of Laura’s Quick Tips! These Snail Adhesive tips are sure to make your crafting experience easier! After all Snail adhesive is the glue holding your projects together so let’s start off on the right foot! 😉

Snail Adhesive Tips, www.LaurasStampPad.com

First off, Snail adhesive has a base and a refill piece. Be sure to save that base piece (the black side which is not shown in the above picture) because after you have that you only need to purchase refills! Getting a refill is cheaper to purchase each time!

Now for a few tips for when your Snail Adhesive isn’t working! Sometimes it is because it needs to be advanced for the adhesive to show and therefore grab onto the cardstock. Then there are times when the clear tape breaks and the adhesive rolls no longer advances at all. Simply lay the clear strip on your project and press and then pull the strip up! This will lay down a strip of the adhesive. Now you don’t have to throw it away and waste adhesive!

Check out the video below or click here to see this all in action as well as a few more tips! Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. Beautiful Spring Day!!!

Posted on

This card just looks like a beautiful spring day! I showed this same card in a different color and I just had to share this one too! I am loving it so much! What about you?? Let me know in the comments below!

Beautiful Spring Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is very simple to make and you can always change up the greeting for any occasion! A little bit of embossing with the Parisian Embossing Folder. Some added fun with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits. Coloring with Stampin’ Blends!

Blue Dress, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I used Pool Party for her dress for a soft subtle blue look! Highland Heather and Old Olive were used to color the flowers! Of course any color would work for those flowers too!!

I hope you are all enjoying the beauty of nature right now. The sunshine and flowers all in bloom are just wonderful and they sure add joy to my life right now in this chaos. Sure they also add pollen to my nose but let’s not talk about that. Find joy in the little things each day! Being stuck at home with a 2 year old and 2 working parents isn’t easy. The extra snuggles, the hand picked dandelions, and the squeals heard when bubbles are made sure make it all amazing! Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Love, hugs, and prayers to all of you during this crazy time! Stay safe and healthy! Happy Stampin’

Make Your Own!!!

Posted on

Today, I’m sharing another one of Laura’s Quick Tips! This one is how to make your own adhesive backed sequins!!! It’s super simple and makes adding them to your project a breeze!

Make Your Own Adhesive Backed Sequins, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here I took the Painted Poppies Sequins and just added them to Mini Glue Dots or sheets of those mini glue dots that come in Stampin’ Up Kits. I have millions of the sheets of dots because they come in card kits, Paper Pumpkin, and more. There are always plenty in each of the kits and I typically just use my Snail Adhesive for kits. These mini glue dots came in handy to make these sequins grab and go by adding adhesive to the back! It was amazing!!!

To see how to make your own adhesive backed sequins, check out the video below or click here. Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. Another Sensational Year!!!

Posted on

Everyone should celebrate their birthday like it’s the greatest day ever because after all, IT IS!!!! You were born and are here to celebrate! It’s fabulous!!! This card is perfect to celebrate that and wish you the best for another sensational year!!!

Best Dressed, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It’s just so beautiful! The colors, the flowers, and that fabulous layered greeting! I love it all!

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base. Next, I layered a piece of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) onto a piece of Purple Posy (4″ x 5-1/4″). Before adding this to the card front, I tied some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding around it. I just tied it into a knot but you could always go for the bow!

Label Me Lovely Punch, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I stamped it from the Sending You Thoughts Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss Ink! Then I punched it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch! This was then layered onto a Blackberry Bliss piece that I punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some added texture!

Another Sensational Year, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Blackberry Bliss is a super dark color so of course I needed some decoration on the inside. I added in a piece of Whisper White and just put a little leftover strip of the designer paper on the left side. The greeting comes from the same stamp set and coordinates so well! I love it!

Check out all of the supplies listed below so you can make this another sensational year card! Also, check out this one for more inspiration using these products!
