There are so many colors and options for card making! It really makes it fun but also could be difficult to pick your favorite! That is what happened with this project! So I ask, “which color do you like?”
I got the idea for this card from the fabulous stamper, Laurie Krauiss. I just had to recreate it. Her card was created in Merry Merlot. I created mine in Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee as shown above but keep scrolling….
Here is another one in just Misty Moonlight. Do you like making monochromatic card or do you prefer lots of color? Let me know in the comments below!
I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set to just create my own designer paper and stamped all over. Remember to stamp off the edges so it looks like the pattern continues. For the greeting, I used one from the Here’s A Card Stamp Set and just punched it out with some Circle Punches! You could always use any style of punch!
Which color is your favorite? Top Left to Right: Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight and Coastal Cabana. Bottom Left to Right: Balmy Blue, Real Red, and Misty Moonlight/Bumblebee combo Let me know in the comments below!
If you would like to recreate these and try out different colors, check out the supplies listed below!
The September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived and I knew I would set up perfectly for Halloween Treats!!! I always like to send them to my nieces and nephews to strive for “Auntie of the Year”! The rest of the treats will go to anyone I would like….the mailman, Claire’s teachers, the nurses and doctors I will see in October, the neighbors, anyone!!!!
I’m just so excited to be all set and done when October just started!! These little cracker boxes are cute and different! They fit just enough candy to enjoy but not break the bank. I fit M&M packs, Snickers, and Twix in mine!
There was SOOOO MUCH goodie and decoration in this kit that I could have made a million of these. Here are a few of the different samples I created with the cat, hat, pumpkins, flowers, and leaves!!! The amount of goodie left over is INSANE too so I can make some fabulous Fall cards for those that I would like to send #HappyMail this month but not candy! 🙂

Happy Tuesday!!! I can’t believe this is the last week of September. Where did it go?!?! I got nothing!!! Either way, today is another beautiful Fall day. I guess I have to say that now that Fall is officially here. Just don’t remind me when Winter is coming. 🙂
I have been loving the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper SOOOOOO much! It’s just stunning and the colors are fabulous and I’m so drawn to it. For this card, I let the paper do all of the work!
I started with a Very Vanilla card base. Then I layered Early Espresso (4-7/8″ x 3-1/2″) with Crumb Cake (3-3/8″ x 4-3/4″). Using any greeting of your choice that fits, stamp the greeting in Early Espresso on the bottom. I used the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set! Next, I layered on the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper on the upper portion. Each of those measure 1″ x 3-1/2″. I suggest laying them out and then grabbing each one individually to adhere. Another option is to start on the outside with the left and right and then center the middle one!
To finish it off, I tied some Early Espresso Faux Suede Ribbon around the cardstock. This helps give a nice smooth transition from the designer paper to the greeting! Then I added this complete set of layers to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! It is so simple and yet so stunning!

I think I have found the fabulous Christmas Gift idea for this year. It is the Purple Posies Card Kit!!! This card kit has 16 total cards in it and the box is super cute and fabulous! Create these cards and give it as a gift to anyone this holiday season!!!
Aren’t these cards beautiful?!?!?! And look at that fabulous gold foil and decorated box!!! I love it all and think I will enjoy crafting these kits and giving them as gifts!
This is my favorite card. That ribbon wiggled back and forth under the greeting is super cool and it was easy to do!
This is my second favorite card because I love the detail on that greeting banner. It’s so detailed and really makes it pop! I think I could have passed on the ribbon behind the greeting but I followed the directions as is!
This card is just stunning with all of the flowers and that fabulous gold foil bling! I found that putting the purple twine bow below the greeting made it pop more without getting in the way!
Just because I’m posting these cards last doesn’t mean I don’t like them. I love them all. I did 2 of these cards with the twine behind the greeting and 2 without. I’m honestly not sure which one I prefer. Mixing it up is always fun though! What do you think?
If you are looking for great Christmas Gift Ideas, take a look at card kits! You can gift them all created or gift all inclusive kits so the recipient can enjoy crafting too. Better yet, give the gift with a certificate of time with you to create it together. Spending time together, talking, laughing, and making memories is the best gift of all…..in my opinion! Click here to get this Purple Posies Card Kit and check out all Stampin’ Up kit here!
While this card would be fabulous for little girls who love unicorns, I LOVE THIS CARD!!!! We should all be a Unicorn!!! It’s PINK! Also, there is sparkle all over it! It’s just perfect!
This card was created with the Stamparatus because that makes the 3 step stamping of the unicorn so much easier! I stamped the full outline of the unicorn in Magenta Madness (stamped off once). Then I stamped the 2nd image in full strength Magenta Madness! Finally, I stamped the eyes and nose in Memento Black!
But wait….there is more!!! I went over the mane and tail with Wink of Stella to add even more fun to the unicorn! It’s perfect!!! I also used the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper which is full of fun colors and fabulous-ness!
I hope you all enjoy this card as much as I do!!! Check out the supplies listed below to recreate it yourself!!! Just remember there is no age limit on a card like this! 😉
The August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit was called World’s Greatest and that it is! I love the blue and yellow color combination and that spark of gold foil!! Check it out!
This one is my favorite. I just love the cute little stars shaking around and that blue ribbon is so pretty with the gold accents! It was really easy to put together too! I did create one of the ribbons with the blue banners too far apart and it looks a bit silly but I perfected it with the other two!
This one is my second favorite because I’m just in awe at how real the medal looks! It is super cool! The vellum flowers/greenery give great texture and elegance to the card too! The elegance isn’t like girlie but more like a well done awards ceremony!
Teachers right now are true heroes….parents are too!!! We are in a crazy time and trying to figure it all, do what is best, and juggle all the new things is just mind boggling! Here’s to them! I did 2 of them as teacher and the last one as Friend! All of the gold stars were put on with the Fine Tip Glue Pen because it was just easier than the glue dots!

Distracted by cute things? Yeah me too! Squirrel….I might not be that bad but I do think they are super cute! I was so excited to use one in this adorable Fall card too!! Hilarious side story for you! When I was attending the Leaders Summit, the Leadership Team was all together on a video and they were sharing about their position with the company and stories. One of the questions was who gets off topic the most and they all agreed it was the Finance Guy and they even have a stuffed animal squirrel that they bring out when he goes off on a tangent. I laughed so hard and immediately thought of this post!
This card uses the Free Stamp Set of the Month for September – Banner Year!!! It’s so easy and super cute!!!
Each little square is 1 inch and I stamped various images from the Banner Year Stamp Set into each one. For the leaf, I used Mint Macaron and stamped the leaf twice without going back to the ink. The acorn was stamped in Crumb Cake, full strength for both. Then for the pumpkin, I used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. That one is a 2 step stamped image. Finally, on the squirrel, I inked him up completely in Crumb Cake and then before stamping him down I inked just the tail in Early Espresso. There is enough gap between his tail and head to lightly touch the edge of the ink pad and ink just the tail!
When layering the squares onto the Crumb Cake square, place them all out and then pick up one at a time to adhere down. This helps with spacing. Then I layered that onto a piece of the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper. This all goes onto a piece of Very Vanilla that I stamped the greeting on the bottom in Early Espresso Ink! There are a couple different greeting options in this set that work perfectly! For the ribbon, I used the Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon which is so amazing! For the top card, I wrapped the ends to the back side. In the card above, I forgot to add the ribbon till the end so I just trimmed the ends for a diagonal look!
To finish off the card, I added a little wooden element from the In Good Taste Elements pack. There are lots of options in the pack so no worries about only having a few. You can make lots of these cards! Check out all of the supplies listed below to make your adorable Squirrel card!

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to “attend” an event that Stampin’ Up! put on for their leaders. Leaders Summit was technically suppose to be held in New Orleans but due to the pandemic it got moved to a virtual event. Thank goodness since Hurricane Laura (I promise I had nothing to do with that) came through the south last weekend!
This event was AMAZING. Even though it was virtual, we were able to network with people all around the world, hear amazing talks, training, and enjoy a toast in Tiffany & Co Champaign Glasses! Stampin’ Up really knows how to spoil us and make us feel genuinely loved and appreciated! I am so proud to say I work for/with Stampin’ Up as it is an amazing company!
This event, as most Stampin’ Up events do, brought so many smiles, tears, laughs, deep thoughts, and all the good feels! It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday weekend AND I got to stay home and be with my family too! The breaks in between were perfectly timed that I got to eat with Brad and Claire and help with bedtime routine!
A few quotes that I loved and want to share with all of you are the following: “YOU ARE ENOUGH!” and “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can change the sails to still get in the direction I need to go!” I really thought about the I am enough quote all weekend and it honestly chokes me up each time. We are always wanting to do more and wishing we could do XYZ but really, we are enough. We are amazing and are perfectly perfect! Remember that. Repeat that. Know that you mean the world to me as a you are reading this! As for the other quote, life is messy and we can’t control everything. We can control our attitude and our outlook. Yeah, it’s a rainy day and we can’t play outside but we can make forts to snuggle in and watch movies all day. Okay, maybe that’s just me with a toddler…..who won’t watch movies all day but still! 🙂 There is always positive in every situation. You just have to see it!
Okay I’m going to stop talking about Leaders Summit before you all fall asleep or think I’ve gone off my rocker again! 🙂
NOTE: See that photo of Sara Douglas, CEO at Stampin’ Up! with the heart hands!!! Who did it first????? Did she steal that from me?? If you watch my Laura’s Dose of Stampin’ Therapy, you know I do that each time!!! She loves all of us as much as I love all of you!!! <3
One last comment…..if you want to join in the fun and be a part of this amazing company, there is a fabulous Promotion right now for new demonstrators. Click here for more details or stay tuned as I will have more details here next week!
