Folded Love!!!

Posted on

You all know how much I talk about #happymail but that is because I believe 100% that it works! Who doesn’t love to get the mail and see that hand written name on an envelope??? It’s the first thing you open, I bet! Reading the words and seeing the beautiful pattern just warms your heart and is sure to put a smile on your face. The first thought you have is someone thought of me today! That piece of folded love is just magical!

Folded Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a super fun Z Fold Card! You can check out others here and here! I started with a regular card base of Crumb Cake measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. First, I folded it in half like a regular card and then I folded the front flap of the card back again in half. This creates that Z.

Z Fold Fall Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now it is time to decorate. On the front flap, I layered Mint Macaron (4-1/8″ x 2-3/8″) and Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (4″ x 2-1/4″). On the inside of the card, I simply placed a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Using the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set, I added the greeting on the inside in Early Espresso Ink! Be sure this greeting is in far enough the left and under the greeting label so it’s covered when the card is closed! Then using the Autumn Punch Pack (Bundle & Save 10% – Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set & Punch Pack), to punch out the leaves and acorn. I love the punches coordinate with the stamp set AND the designer paper!

Gilded Autumn Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the front greeting, I die cut the labels with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. One is in Very Vanilla and the other one is in Cajun Craze! Using the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set, I stamped the leaf in Crumb Cake (stamped off once) and the greeting in Early Espresso! This gives that nice subtle background leaf without overpowering the image of the greeting! When adding the greeting to the card front, be sure to only add adhesive to the left hand side. The left side is sticking to the card front but the right side should be hanging free!! I finished it off with some Gilded Gems on either side of the greeting!

If you want to create this card, check out the supplies listed below and have fun sending some folded love!

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss!!!

Posted on

The NEW Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is now available to everyone! Woot Woot! There are fabulous things that come with each new month! 🙂

Stampin' Cut & Emboss, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I have had mine for about 3 weeks now. Here are a few of my (honest) thoughts so far! I always want to be honest with you!

~IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I love the white sleek look with the silver accents. Hello bling! You had me at shiny! 🙂
~The machine is compact and easy to carry around without having those sides open. It will fit down in a bag or basket very easily. The baskets I take to events didn’t fit my Big Shot so it was angled in there. This will be a dream!
~It is wider than the Big Shot but the plates are the same size. I love this because that means I can have cardstock hang over or push it through a little crooked (opps) and not have it scratch up the sides. BONUS! Some of my plates look rough because of this in the past!

~It is very similar to the Big Shot and probably other die cutting machines. It all comes down to needing a machine and the small differences! One of my Big Shots crossed over the rainbow bridge earlier this year but I still have the 2nd one. It sits right next to my new machine and I still use them both! The New Stampin’ Cut & Emboss just looks prettier! 🙂
~Okay so the more I use it, the more thoughts I have. Yesterday, I was cranking away to die cut some labels and it did that thing where it sort of pops after going through the thick part. Then my hand slipped off which happens randomly and with the Big Shot it would whip around and usually hit the top of my hand/wrist/thumb. With the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss, it doesn’t swing as freely so it popped out and just moved a smidge and stopped. I was like SAVED!!!! I had to share this with you all because that’s amazing to me!

So I hope this review was just what you needed. If you are in the market for a die cutting machine or embossing machine and love bling, I highly recommend it! Click here to get your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine today!! Also, if you want to see my unboxing and reaction of this, click here!

Creating An Easel Card!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! I have a fabulous technique to share with you all today!!! Woot Woot! I’m creating an easel card today that is perfect for a Wedding or Anniversary. You could always change up the colors and sentiment for any occasion though!

Creating An Easel Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I got the idea for this card from the fabulous stamper, Kim Peck at a recent virtual Stamping Event! I decided to change up the colors and the designer paper for a new look!

Pop Up Easel Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super simple to create! It uses very minimal supplies actually! Any time you have leftover scraps of designer series paper, this is the perfect card to make. Add a little stamping and some embellishments to hold the easel up and you are golden! The best part is that it still folds up nice and perfectly for a regular sized envelope! Woot Woot!

Love & Laughter Forever After, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Coming Soon!!!

Posted on

Today, I’m sharing the reveal of the NEW Stampin’ Up Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine! It is coming soon for all of you on September 1st!!!

Coming Soon Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I unboxed this on video and played with it and explored it on camera so everything is real! The white with silver accents is my favorite! It’s just so pretty! I can’t decide if I think it is heavier than the Big Shot or just that the suction to the table was strong. That is a good thing though because you don’t want the machine moving all over the place.

The sides pop down and fold up for easy storage or traveling! It is really easy to pop them down and they really snap back up! Assembling the handle was super easy to do as well!!!

As for the plates, I love that they are numbers and super clear as to which one is which. The instructions are on the main plate so that makes it super simple to have on hand and know what you need!

This is coming soon for all of you – September 1st!!! There is also a Mini Machine coming soon but the dates have not been announced just yet!

Just Keep Stamping!!!

Posted on

Very similar to the movie, Finding Nemo and Dory saying just keep swimming! In this case, just keep stamping!! It creates a beautiful bouquet and I just can’t get enough!

Just keep stamping, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is actually very simple and would be perfect for so many occasions!!! Let me know in the comments what occasion you would use it for!

I started with a Pretty Peacock card base. Next, I layered on some Pear Pizzazz cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Now for the stamping layer, I used Whisper White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″. I used the Forever Fern Stamp Set for all of the images. There are so many options in this set!

Forever Greenery Bouquet, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used various images and just stamped them up high, down low, and all around. Just keep stamping! The colors used were Garden Green, Pretty Peacock, Pear Pizzazz, and Blackberry Bliss.

Simple Layered Greeting With Gold Thread, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I went very simple with punched out circles to fit the greeting. The greeting was stamped in Blackberry Bliss and layered onto Pretty Peacock. Then I took some gold thread from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Pack! Wrap it around 4 fingers or so and then slide the loops off and place on the back of the greeting circle. Then secure the loops with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and add it to the card front. If the loops really flop around, you can always add a Mini Glue Dot and press the loops into it.

This quick and simple card can be used all year long. Check out the supplies below to recreate this card yourself!

Snowflake Splendor!!!

Posted on

I will play with snowflakes all day long in the stamp room but not in real life. I am not a huge fan of winter and bad weather. When I first saw this Snowflake Splendor Suite, I fell in love!!! Which is kind of odd since I just said I didn’t like snow and winter. Ehhh What are you going to do!?!?!

I think it’s those fabulous colors of blues, purples, and greens that I love the most. It’s soft but also POPS. The prints vary which gives a nice array of looks to use this paper for! I think it will make perfect backgrounds but also it’s stunning to just be the focal point! What do you think???

Summer Flowers!!!

Posted on

I’m going to hold onto Summer as long as I can. Last week, Fall tried to creep in with it’s 50/60’s over night though. Not today, Fall! Today, I’m sharing some summer flowers because they brighten my day!!!

Summer Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You all know how much I love flowers and the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set is so up my alley! Add in that cute mason jar and I’m hooked. Plus the jar is a punch so it’s quick and simple!

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base. Next, I added a strip of Just Jade that I embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder. This gives the perfect amount of texture and I love it! Then I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3″ x 4-1/4″ for the focal point. You can use any of the flowers in the set which makes this card even more versatile. Be sure to stamp the flowers close to the top of the cardstock so there is plenty of room for the jar below. I used Memento Black Ink to stamp the flowers and then the stems below it. The stems don’t have to match up exactly with the flowers since the jar covers up the overlap part.

Now it’s time to color! Again with the soft blues and greens in the base, you can really color the flowers any color you wish! I went with Stampin’ Blends – Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, and Just Jade. Be sure to color the stems as well!

Now for that fun jar, stamp the vellum cardstock with the jar and let it dry completely before you punch it out. Since vellum is a slick surface, it can take a bit longer to dry than regular cardstock. Place the jar over the flowers to see exactly where you need to stamp your water then scoot it over to the side out of the way but still as a guide. I stamped my water in Misty Moonlight stamped off once for a lighter look! After stamping it down, I added the jar over the top with Mini Glue Dots. The baker’s twine was actually added before I adhered down the jar but you can always adhere the bottom portion down first. This will help it hold still for you a little more.

I hope you all enjoyed this Summer Flowers card as much as I did! If you want to recreate it, check out the supplies below. For more inspiration using the Jar of Flowers, click here and here!
