I’m so in love!

This little guy is the cutest thing ever! How can you not look at him and not say Ahhhh? And he is holding chocolate, but willing to give it up without a fight….so again he is fabulous!!! 🙂 Stampin’ Up came out with these adorable kits perfect making adorable Valentine’s Day treats! The kit comes with everything but the chocolate! It comes in blue and in pink! I know I know, you must be surprised that I didn’t purchase the pink kit. Its shocking to me too but I thought I would pick blue instead! I put a Hershey’s Miniature in mine and they fit perfectly. All you have to do is pull the little white piece off his belly to reveal a sticky piece that holds your candy. Then wrap his arms around the candy and interlock his wrist. Add a googly eye and a little heart over his arm! DONE! How easy is that and again….SUPER CUTE! Get your kit today in pink or blue by clicking here!

One Sheet Wonder Part 2

Yesterday I shared the One Sheet Wonder Technique with you all! You can check it out here! Here are a few more samples!

Once I had stamped all of the One Sheet of cardstock with the Daydream Medallion Stamps and cut up the pieces for each card, then I stamped and die-cut the flower pieces for all of the cards with the Floral Frames Framelits. Then I worked on the assembly part! Many of the cards have the added texture and color by brushing Baked Brown Sugar on the edges with a Sponge Dauber! Also, you will notice there are LOTS of banners so I stamped and cut out all of my banner tips too! TIP: When cutting your banner tips, its best to cut up in the middle (of the end of the paper) and then cut from the corner diagonally to that cut. This will make your banner tips equal length. Of course the sample on the right here is off. I made my original greeting banner with the tip above and then assembled that with the ribbon and just cut the Crisp Cantaloupe with an edge.

I love how the card on the left is so simple with the One Sheet Wonder piece on the bottom and some stamping on the card and then ribbon! TIP: Sticky Strip works best with the Ruffled Ribbon because it holds strong! These 3 cards were my favorites!!!

Technique Tuesday – One Sheet Wonder

Happy Tuesday!!!! That means I have a fabulous Technique to share with you! This is a great way to create lots of cards at one time using similar colors and style! You can try it out with lots of different images like flowers, doilies, animals, leaves, & shapes!

Here are 6 of the 8 cards and box that were created with the One Sheet Wonder Technique! That’s right, one 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of stamped cardstocked created 8 cards and a decorated box!!!! I used the Daydream Medallion Stamp Set and stamped all over the sheet of cardstock and even used my sponge daubers to add a little color in between the stamped images to add a little rustic, less bold look! Then I cut the sheet of cardstock into all of the pieces that I need for each of the cards. (See the grid to the left for measurements.) After cutting up all the pieces for each card, I stamped and cut out the images with the Floral Frames Framelits which match this stamp set perfectly! Also, all of the colors used for these cards came from the NEW In-Colors – Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and Pistachio Pudding! The In-Color Boutique Details were used on some of the flowers but you could also use Antique Brads , Pearls, Rhinestones, or even nothing! It is so great to do all of these cards in matching colors of cardstock and embellishments! I used a few different colors of the Ruffled Ribbon as well. You can pick which ever one is your favorite or use a little bit of each color!

More Retro Fresh Fun!!!!

Some may think this card is a bit much with all the colors and stripes but others may say it is colorful and amazing! I used the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper for the background and Retro Fresh Washi Tape on both ends of my Deco Label greeting piece. I love coloring my flowers different colors with the markers and this image is perfect for that! The flowers and greeting

come from the Embellished Events Stamp Set! That is one of my favorites because it has great images and perfect greetings for all occasions! Added a little Chevron ribbon to the card to complete it! Let me know in the comments what you think!!!

The card here on the left is so simple and FABULOUS! I used the Retro Fresh Washi Tape and just layered them on Very Vanilla. Then I layered that onto Coastal Cabana and So Saffron! The greeting is from the Million and One Stamp Set…..love it because the other greeting says FABULOUS! 🙂

All NEW Retro Fresh!!!!!

The Occasions Mini Catalog is HERE!!!! Woot Woot! There is a new collection – Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape! I have loved playing with these. The colors are a little out of my usual because there is brown in there 😉 but Coastal Cabana always draws me in!!!! All of the colors in this paper include Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron, Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla, and Tangerine Tango! I love how just a little piece of the Designer Series Paper makes this card POP! Those little pieces are 1″ x 2-1/2″ so in a 12″ x 12″ sheet, you can make millions of these cards! I used my markers to get the different colors on the greeting! The greeting is from the Lots of Thanks Stamp Set! I love all of the thank you greetings in this set! I added a few Candy Dots to the bottom for a little pop of color and texture! I use those the same way I use pearls and rhinestones rather than as brads. Be sure to check back for more samples using this Designer Series Paper and the Washi Tape!

So I Hear Gold Is In!

So I am more of a Silver Girl but I hear that GOLD is in! Either way, this card is super simple and has a great WOW factor with the Brushed Gold Cardstock (it comes in Silver too)! This card makes a great Wedding Card, 50th Anniversary Card or Invitation, Golden Birthday Card (this year is my Golden Birthday year!!!!) or just about any type of card! I used Very Vanilla Cardstock and Seam Binding and the image comes from the Label Love Stamp Set. All of the images in the set coordinate with the Artisan Label Punch! How perfect!! Technique Tuesday – Lollipop Card

It is Tuesday and so I’m sharing a fabulous technique with you!!! This week it is adorable Lollipop Card!!! I love the colors and playfulness this card offers! Super fabulous!

I love how cute this lollipop is and it is fairly simple. I only say that because the wrapping of the Baker’s Twine around and around and around…..and around seems to go on forever! (And you all know me and my lack of patience 😉 )

Supplies Needed: Jumbo Sticky Rounds, Baker’s Twine, Cardstock, and Chevron Ribbon

Starting on the outside of the Jumbo Sticky Round, place your Baker’s Twine with the tail hanging off a bit (it will go to the back to hold the end in place). Keep laying the twine down in a circle moving closer and closer to the center. Around and Around and Around AND AROUND! In the center, you will cut it off and then smoosh the end into the center. Then peel the round off and push the end (beginning piece) to the back and place it on your card! I used cardstock for the stick but you could always use a popsicle stick or dowel rod but that might not go in the mail as easy! I create the cute bow with the Chevron Ribbon to place at the base of the lollipop! The stitch marks around the edge of the card add a little design and texture without adding more layers or taking away from the lollipop! The colors used was Island Indigo, Whisper White, and Crumb Cake! Also, while this does use lots of Baker’s Twine, it is only $0.0038 per inch so you don’t have to feel bad! 🙂 I hope you enjoyed this technique and try it out!

Feeling Loved with Hand-Stamped Cards!!!

This board is located in my Stamp Room! It started out to be a board that I could post notes, samples, and words of encouragement. It then took over with all the AMAZING cards and notes that I have received from customers, my team members, upline members, and so much more! I love love love this board because it is so colorful and amazing and makes me smile every time I look at it. I love the power of a hand-stamped card (or any card for that matter). There are also a few super sweet emails that I have received from customers that I had printed and posted on there. There is my certificate showing that I placed 17th in our big group of amazing stampers (sooo excited about that)!! There is also a letter for each time that I have sent goodies to the Ronald McDonald House! I find it super amazing that they appreciate and are thankful for all of the items that they receive! I thought this board was getting out of hand so I decided (it was a hard decision) to take them all down and start fresh with the new year. It was amazing and so heart-felt to take down the cards and re-read each of them! It warms my heart so much to know that Stampin’ Up! and my stamping business have made such an impact on others! And I want you all to know that you mean so much to me and your kind words are very much appreciated! Thank you for a wonderful 2013 and I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store for me! Hope to stamp with you all soon whether it be in person or virtually! 🙂
