All The Best – Paper Pumpkin!!!

The December Paper Pumpkin Kit – All The Best was just that THE BEST! I absolutely love this kit! The blues and yellows together and the flowers make my heart happy. The fun greetings and font are perfect for many occasions! Then there is the gift box which is perfect for December!!!

I love all of these cards so much that I don’t think I can even rank them! The gold foil accents really make it POP! It takes it from a beautiful card to WOW, that’s stunning! The card above was super simple and my only tip is to make sure your flower has just 1 Stampin’ Dimensional on it. Also, be sure the placement of that Dimensional is on the left hand side so it nooks into the greeting without being doubled up!

This card is perfect to have on hand for any occasion or for when you need to send a card just because you thought of someone! Do you send cards like that?!? Randomly think of your Great Aunt and just pull out a card and send it to her to brighten her day?! I try to but don’t get it done as often as I would like because the kids or something tend to distract me and then I forget. On this card, I actually didn’t read the instructions. SHOCK! I popped up the circle greeting and then struggled with placement of adhesive to attach the flowers. If you put the greeting on flat and then pop up the flowers, it would be much easier! 🙂

This card has LOTS of gold foil and I love it! Then that POP of yellow. I love it! It’s like a black and white photo with one item in the photo colored! Also, it just needed like 3-4 Stampin’ Dimensionals on the big spots of the flower and then the stem is held with the greeting! We also can’t forget to shout out those stunning envelopes!

Sparkling Snowflakes!!!

Winter is here and that…..MIGHT…..mean snow! Who here loves snow?!?!? I’m not the biggest fan but you probably already knew that if you have been following me for even a hot minute! I do love stamping snow though with this Sparkling Snowflakes Set!!!

This card is so fabulous because it can be used as a Christmas Card or even an all occasion card throughout the winter season! Who wouldn’t love to get this on a cold January day to cheer them up?! I know I would and I don’t even like snow! The soft pastel colors brighten it up but you could also use your favorite color combination!

Card Tutorial

First, I started with a card base. Next, I took a piece of Basic White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 4″) and stamped snowflakes (from the Sparkling Snowflakes Stamp Set) in 3 sizes all over. Be sure to start with the biggest snowflake and work your way down, this way you have plenty of room for each size! The colors I used were Fresh Freesia, Boho Blue, and Pool Party! How crazy is it that Pool Party looks so green when stamped with the other colors!?!?! After stamping the snowflakes, I ripped both sides for some fun texture and then added this piece to the card front!

For the greeting, I punched a 2″ strip of Basic White cardstock with the coordinating Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Topper Punch! This gives such a fun and detailed look! Add the greeting and some more snowflakes and you are all set. I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! The final touch was adding some Tinsel Gems!

Of course, don’t forget to stamp some snowflakes on a piece of Basic White for the inside of the card. Decorating the envelope is also a fun added touch too! Getting happy mail in the mailbox with a fun stamped image is always exciting!

Warmest Wishes Paper Pumpkin Kit!

The November 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Warmest Wishes contained little glittered winter houses that are to be used as treat packaging! They are so shiny and cute!!!

The glittered snow really doesn’t show up in these photos and that makes me sad. The kit comes with the houses having the glitter on them already which is even better. YAH! Safe glitter! All you have to do is fold on the score lines, add wreaths with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the twine and tag! The kit also includes cellophane bags and wreath stickers to seal them closed. It is just sooooo cute!

My plan with this kit each year is to use it for neighbor gifts! I make Saltine Toffee and bag it up. We walk up and down the street dropping it off on porches for our neighbors! I do have a small problem with this Warmest Wishes Kit…..it’s too little! I could give everyone like 1 bite of the toffee but that is no fun! Soooooo I cut the houses into two. First, I cut the top at the roof and then I cut the bottom flap off so it’s just the front and back of the house. Next, I took the Very Best Trio Punch and added a little hole for ribbon at the top! Now I have a tag to attach to a bag of toffee! PERFECT! Also, since I cut them into 2, I now have twice as many!!! YAH!

Water Painters For The Win!

Stampin’ Up! Water Painters come in a 3 pack and they are amazing for watercoloring, creating backgrounds AND sealing envelopes rather than licking them!

Stampin’ Up! Water Painters come as a 3 pack. There is a fine tip brush, a thicker (marker like tip) brush, and a wide, flat brush (as shown in blue above). These brushes are just $13.00 (plus tax and shipping) and you can do so many amazing things with them!

Simply fill the barrel with water and use to watercolor a stamped image. Once you are finished with a color, wipe off the tip on a paper towel and move to the next color. You can also create backgrounds with them. Stripes, polka dots, plaid, a border…..the possibilities are endless. One of my favorite things to use my Water Painter for is sealing envelopes. Especially during this time of year when I’m sealing lots of envelopes, it’s quick and simple and no watery mess. Best of all no nasty taste in my mouth or a paper cut on my tongue. So handy for so many reasons!
