Silver Doilies!!!!

I love this card for so many reasons…..the amazing Elegant Eggplant color, the purple Rhinestones, the Silver Embossed Tea Doily, and the brushed edges!!!! It is just amazing! My card base was done in Wisteria Wonder and then I brushed Elegant Eggplant on the edges of the Whisper White cardstock with my Sponge Daubers (love them)!!! For the Silver Doily, I took my VersaMark Pad and pressed it into the Tea Lace Doily all over. Then I poured Silver Embossing Powder all over it and heated it with my Heat Tool to set it! It becomes so shiny and fabulous! It does curl along the edges which I loved for a little texture and 3-D look but it eventually flattened out more so no worries if you want it nice and flat. I stamped my greeting from the Hello There Hostess Stamp in Elegant Eggplant and added a few flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. For the adorable purple Rhinestones….you can use your Blendabilities to color them (available July 1)! LOVE IT! Now you can have matching pearls and rhinestones on your project! Fabulous Friday!!!!

Happy Friday!!! Another week has gone by and that means July is right around the corner…craziness! That means that the 4th of July is right around the corner and I’m just DYING to show you this fabulous project!!!!

Oh I am loving this! It is just perfect for this time of the year! This was created with my June Paper Pumpkin Kit. It came with all of the items you see below!

YES! All of that! There are 24 Die-Cut Pinwheels, 24 Silver Brads, 24 Red & White Straws (love these), 3 Stamps, Night of Navy Stampin’ Spot, 24 Silver Mini Paper Clips (not like real paper clips, but these look kind of like paper clips), 24 Treat Bags, Bakers Twine, Mini GLue Dots, and White Banners! This kit is AMAZING! I’m not throwing a 4th of July Party so I was trying to see how I would use this kit. Then I saw my wreath out front and thought it needed a new makeover and BOOM….idea hit. I made all of the pinwheels and hot glued them to a foam wreath. There were a few left over even! Woot Woot! Now I still have the treat bags and everything else to make someone else with! I love it! Oh Little Lions!

Is this not the more precious thing ever? I love them! The little eyes make them come to life and the adorable little noses. Eeee So cute and super simple to create, all you need are a few punches! I used the Blossom Punch for the mane (2 overlapping). On each of the petals, I cut in once with my Fringe Scissors….be careful not to cut too deep or you will end up cutting pieces off! I also used 2 petals from the Blossom Punch for the little feet. For the face, I used my 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and sponge daubered (that’s a word, right? 🙂 ) the edges. The little cheeks were punched out with my 3/4″ Circle Punch and then I took my Chocolate Chip Marker to create the whiskers. I got the little heart nose from the Owl Builder Punch and added on the googly eyes! See how simple was that….just a few punches and you can create just about anything! I love how the fringe scissors add so much texture and fluff to the lion mane and of course make amazing grass too! The colors of cardstock that I used here are Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Hello Honey. I did all of the edges with Hello Honey (I know it looks more brown but it’s Hello Honey)! The Happy Birthday greeting comes from Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set!

Celebrating 4th of July!!!!

The 4th of July is next week and while I probably should have posted this fabulous card a week or 2 ago, better late than never right? This card would be perfect for a 4th of July Party Invitation or if you have a friend like me who’s Birthday is ON the 4th then you could send it to them! This would be great for Labor Day Parties as well so keep it in mind for a few months! 😉

This amazing card was created with the Work of Art Stamp Set (I’m telling ya, that set is fabulous)!!! I used Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler for the flag and brushed the edges with Baked Brown Sugar! For the Night of Navy, I used the larger “swish” that is in the Work of Art Stamp Set and then added a Silver Glimmer Stars using my Itty Bitty Punch Pack star! The stripes were created using the long straight image from the set. I thought the Baked Brown Sugar softened the edges and made the flag look more rustic! I added that with my Sponge Daubers! All of this was stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla that I ran through my Big Shot with the Top Note Die! The possibilities are truly endless with this stamp set! Of course, I want to give a shout out to Lizz Orr who gave me the idea for the card!

Have you seen the Northern Lights???

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means…..I have an amazing technique to share with you!!! This was blows my mind because you start out with just three colors but it creates so many more! Seeing the Northern Lights is on my Bucket List too! Until then, I shall just make the Northern Lights in my craft room!

Supplies Needed: Sponge Daubers, Tempting Turquoise Ink, Rich Razzleberry Ink, Daffodil Delight Ink Pad, Night of Navy Ink Pad, Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set, Label Collections Framelits, Chalk Marker or White Gel Pen

You will need a piece of Whisper White cardstock and the size will depend on the size of Framelit you would like to use. I used a piece that is 5-1/2″ x 4-1/2.” Starting with the Daffodil Delight and your sponge dauber, you will make do up and down making a stripe. Then move over about a 1/2″ and make another one, continuing across the cardstock. Next you will do the same with your Rich Razzleberry and then Tempting Turquoise. Be sure to overlap the colors a bit because that is how your will get a little orange and green in there too! Don’t worry if it looks super bright and colorful at this time! That is the way it should look! Using one of the trees from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set, stamp it in the center with Stazon! Now you can pick the size of Framelit that you wish to use and cut it out with your Big Shot! After you have cut it out, you will take the Night of Navy Ink Pad and Sponge Dauber and fill in the bottom portion using the stamped “ground” as your guide. Also, I brushed the edges of the entire image as well. You can go over the entire image very lightly with the Night of Navy as well for a more subtle look. Then using your Chalk Marker or Signo White Gel Pen, makes dots all over your card for a starry look! Now you are all done and you can add it to your card. I layered mine onto a piece of Basic Gray that was ran through my Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and then only a piece of Night of Navy. I added a little Silver 1/8″ Ribbon too! Sunflower Work of Art!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!!! I know I know…that is a little too much excitement for a Monday but maybe this fabulous card will brighten your day!!! Of course this was created with the most amazing stamp set ever…..

THE WORK OF ART STAMP SET!!!!! Isn’t it fabulous? I used the long image for the stem and the small “swishy” image for the leaves and petals! The New In-Colors – Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow are perfect sunflower colors! To get the petals, I punched out a circle with my 1-3/4″ Circle Punch of scrap paper and placed it at the top of my stem. Then I inked up the image in Hello Honey and stamped, moved it over a bit, and stamped again. This is how I got the the dark and light shades for the petals. Once I had gone all the way around the circle, I took my circle mask off and inked up the image, stamped off, and then stamped with part of the image in the middle to add just a little bit of color. Then I stamped the greeting in Mossy Meadow!

I just had to try this flower our in PINK!!! I did this one in Melon Mambo and Mossy Meadow! Now I want to do it in Purple….I’m thinking Elegant Eggplant! 🙂 Be sure to check out the Video Tutorial by clicking here or seeing it down below!

Fabulous Friday!!!

Happy Friday everyone!!!! This week has been a whirlwind of fun, craziness, and HOT & HUMID weather. I don’t mind hot to an extent but the humidity just makes it nasty outside! It is summer after all though! I do have some HOT HOT HOT deals to share with you!!! Here are this week’s Weekly Deals!

So many amazing products this week! I love Ribbon and it is my go-to embellishment for almost all cards. The Natural 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon and Chevron Ribbon are rather wide and perfect for wrapping around gifts, adding a bow to a wreath, tying a gift bag closed and so much more!!! Epic Day Washi Tape is something you should stock up on! Washi Tape is super fun to on so many different projects! Also, now that it is summer and you are having parties and BBQs this stuff makes excellent decorations! Add a little around your bowl to spice up a simple salad. Add some to a piece of twine like a banner and attach to sticks for a cute decoration on your cake or dessert. Add a piece around your beverage straws. Also, check out this post and this post for ways to use it on cards!

I thought I would share this fabulous card with you as well! I used the Hello There Hostess Stamp Set for this beauty! Are you wondering which ribbon was used on this card…..it’s the Whisper White Organza Ribbon! I used my Rich Razzleberry Marker to color it in and have it match my card! Super fabulous and then you can have ribbon in ANY COLOR!!!! Love it! Try it out with some of your Whisper White Ribbon and let me know what you think in the comment below!

Big News!!!!

So it’s may not really be YOUR Birthday but this Big New Stamp Set is super fabulous and most definitely something to get excited about!!!! What? You think the blog title was misleading? 🙂

The Big New Stamp Set is super fun! I got it because I loved the big greetings but when it arrived I went to my stamp room and just started playing. Ideas were flowing like crazy and I was giddy with excitement of the cards I was coming up with! I love when that happens! These two cards were created by stamping the candle in Stazon along the bottom and then adding the birthday greeting! Then I colored in the candles with my markers! I LOVE how you can get a masculine and feminine card out of the same style and the color combinations are endless! You can always match the color to the recipient’s favorite color or party theme color. How fabulous is that? Of course I’m loving Bermuda Bay right now and Melon Mambo is always my favorite. For the Melon Mambo card, I added a little 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon in Melon Mambo! Love that ribbon!

Here is another sample that I created on Whisper White cardstock and then added a little 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon in Pool Party!

This past weekend I did this card at a Stamp Party and everyone came up with different ideas for their card. Some stamped the same number of candles as the year the Birthday recipient was going to be, some stamped the candle on the envelope in the shape of the first letter of the recipient’s name (example: Harper was the Birthday Girl getting the card and so she stamped the candle 3 times to create an H on the envelope). It was so fun to see all of the creations everyone was coming up with!!!

Lovely As A Tree!!!

Lovely As a Tree Stamp Set has been around since the dawn of time….okay maybe not that long ago. I just recently added this set to my collection to see what the fuss was all about. Results….I’m loving it! Look how simple this card is! It makes the perfect man card for a Birthday or Father’s Day! It would also be a great Thinking of You or Sympathy card as well! You could always mix up the colors to match a season too! I used Pear Pizzazz for this card but on the tree I went a little darker – Garden Green! I used the Birthday greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The Baker’s Twine adds a little texture and pattern in the background as well! Simple yet fabulous!

Technique Tuesday – Perfect Plaid!

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means……I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! This one is super fun and really rather easy! The best part….you can mix and mingle a million different colors and come out with something different each time! I love that!

How cute is that? I mean masculine! 😉 I used the Work of Art Stamp Set! This is by far my favorite stamp set right now. You can see more samples using this set here and here!

Supplies Needed: Work of Art Stamp Set, 2-3 Ink Pads, Cardstock

I used the long straight image from the Work of Art Set to create this look. You can use 2-3 different colors. I found when I used a 3rd color, I always felt it was off because I either didn’t have enough of that 3rd color or it was just a mess of too many colors but I’m crazy like that. My piece of cardstock measures 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″. I decided to use this size because it fits the stamp. You could go big and have it layer the entire card (4″ x 5-1/4″) but you would need to stamp twice to create the line all the way across. I used the NEW In-Colors – Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow for the card pictured above. You will ink up one of the colors and stamp down, moved about 1/4″ and stamp again without re-inking. Ink up with that color and keep doing that all the way across. Then turn your piece 90 degrees and with the 2nd color do the same thing, stamp, move up a little and stamp again without re-inking. You could also do all dark (inking and stamping) along one side and all light stamping (stamping off once) along the other side. You can mix it up to however you wish….endless possibilities!
