An Abundance of Thanks!!!

Thank You Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I create LOTS of Thank You cards because I send out a lot of thank you cards. There is just so much to be thankful for and I want people to know that I really appreciate them! I appreciate all of you for following my blog and my YouTube Channel. You are all so amazing and if I had all of your addresses I surely would send you a Thank You Note! I send thank you notes each month to those who have placed an order with me, when I receive a gift, when someone reaches out to help me and sometimes just because someone was there for me! 🙂

All of these Thank You notes were created for my Bridal Fairs!!! We all know that when planning a wedding, there are many times when you need a Thank You note so I pass these out with my contact information to all of the Brides! It is a Thank You for stopping by to see me and also a gift that they can use as well! Since I am making hundreds of these cards, I need them to be very quick and simple so here they are!!!

Ombre Thank You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a simple Whisper White card base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and I stamped the Work of Art image down the right hand side. I inked it up once and then just kept on stamping to achieve that Ombre look! The greeting was stamped in Black from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set!

Flourish Thank You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card base measures 4-1/4″ x 11″ (cut in half the other way) and I stamped the image from the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set on opposing corners! Again, I used the greeting from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set!

Butterfly Thank You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay, I will admit that this one wasn’t all that quick since it is a 5-step stamping routine for each butterfly but when making multiples it really did go fast and wasn’t all that bad! I used the butterfly from the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set and the greeting from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set! You can check out color combinations and some tips for stamping the perfect butterfly here!

Perpetual Birthday Calendar Background, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For these cards, I simply took an image from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set and stamped a strip! There are so many options with this one from leaves to flowers to dots and starbursts! Again, I used the Tin of Card Stamp Set for the greeting……okay I didn’t realize I used that one for each of these cards. I guess I was too lazy to dig out another set like One Big Meaning or the now retired Lots of Thanks which was used in some of the samples above! Also, in the samples above, I used strips of Washi Tape as another option! This is a great way to get rid of those styles or colors that you have just a little bit left on the roll or that you have an over abundance of! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed these quick and simple ideas for making Thank You cards. You could always change up the greeting for any occasion! Sometimes less is more and a card like this is really stunning! Next time you need lots of cards, look no further! Pin it to your Pinterest Board to save for later! Again, Thank YOU all for your love and support to me and my love for stamping! 🙂

Washi Tape All Over!!!

Washi Tape Diagonal, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There are so many fun ways you can use Washi Tape on your project – cards, scrapbook page, home decor piece, or decoration!!! I love this card because of all of the bright colors and the fact that it took me about 2 minutes (if that) to create…..even more if I didn’t color in the cake! 🙂 I used a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and I placed the Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape on it diagonally. There is no measurements or correct way to do it, just start placing it down!! The first piece I laid down was the dots, then the green dots, then the blue, and finally the stripes! To be completely honest, I stamped afterwards which worked out fine. I just pulled out a stamp set and looked to see what would work. I used the Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set for the cake and the greeting. I stamped the greeting in Bermuda Bay and the cake in Stazon Black! I layered this piece on a Bermuda Bay card base and was all set! See….2 minutes or less!!!

What is your favorite way to use Washi Tape??? Here is another sample!

Cherry On Top Washi Tape!!!

Cherry On Top Washi Tape, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You all know I LOVE bright colors and this card just makes my heart happy!!! I love how quick and simple Washi Tape can add color, texture and a really cool background to your card!!! I started with a Crushed Curry card base and layered on some Watermelon Wonder! Then I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and added 3 little stripes of the Cherry On Top Designer Washi Tape to the center! I just ripped the ends for a torn look and because it’s easier! 🙂 Then I used the dots from the Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set to stamp on the corners! I stamped it a few times in Watermelon Wonder without going back to the ink pad. That is how I got those various shades! I used the same stamp set for the greeting which was also stamped in Watermelon Wonder on a piece of scrap white cardstock! I punched it out with the 2″ Circle Punch and layered it onto a Watermelon Wonder 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch! Of course I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add this to my card front!!! Simple and Fabulous!!!

Have you used Washi Tape before??? You  can check out a few more ways to use it here, here, and here!

Memory Keeping with Project Life!!!

Posted on

Have you heard about Project Life??? It is a wonderful line of memory keeping products that make it fun and simple. For anyone who has never scrapbooked before, this is totally for you because it is simple and yet exactly what you want – organized photos with information to remember through the years!!! To get started all you need are your photos, an album, pages, a Card Collection Kit, and Journaling Pens. It is that simple! I’m serious!!! Of course you can always add more embellishments and do more to the pages but I think they look great when they are simple! My style of memory keeping is lots of photos and some journaling with very little foo foo. Everyone has their style!

Project Life Family Page, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is a page that I did for my Family Album! This album has about 2-4 pages each year from the Family Reunion. I love how I didn’t have to cut the pictures at all; I just slid them right in! Also, I loved the 4 pockets for me to journal on. It was perfect. Another bonus I love about Project Life is that many of the cards have a grid or lines on them which make it perfect to write without trailing down or going big to little when you write. Come on, I’m not the only one out there who does that?? 🙂 I used a little washi tape and a few stickers from the Accessory Pack. That little green heart on the far right is covering up a mistake…..come on we all make them and just know how to fix it!!!!

Project Life Memory Page, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another page that I did which was quick and simple. I popped the photos in, a decorative Card Collection and a journaled card collection with a little washi tape!!! Love it!!

I have done “traditional” scrapbooking in all size. I have done digital scrapbooking and now I have done Project Life. Each one has its pros and cons and it is all based on personal preference! I have done a few classes on Project Life and I have really enjoyed seeing all of the creations!!! Stay tuned as I will be showing you some OTHER things that you can create with the Project Life Card Collection!!

Also, if you would like to see what the Moments Like These Card Collection and Accessory Pack looks like, check out this Video!

Hooray It’s Your Day!! (Part 2)

Sunshine Template, Hooray It's Your Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Welcome back!!! Today is Part 2 of the Hooray It’s Your Day Card Kit from the Occasions Mini Catalog! If you missed Part 1 yesterday, you can check that out here!!

I LOVE this card….which is why I paired it with the Melon Mambo envelope! <3 It was super fun to make and you can make tons of them because the template in the kit is reuse-able! Again, I used my Sponge Daubers for this one rather than the included spritzer. I like to have more control over my color  and get a strong line image. I love the bright colors and bold look of this sun! You could always do it in other colors as well. Many of my stampers at the class I held on this kit did Melon Mambo. They sure know the way to my heart! 🙂 TIP: If you drop your sponge dauber down at the center circle of this template and rub out on each ray you will get a fabulous ombre look. It will be really dark around the center and lighten up as you go out! It looks amazing!!! I stamped my greeting from Age Awareness and add all the little goodies which were provided in the kit. I would love to do this card with a greeting stamped in the middle of the sun and maybe some Dazzling Details! That would be awesome too!!

Scallop Template, Hooray It's Your Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for the final card! This card comes scored and cut with that little tab! How cute is that? I used the scallop template for this one and used my Spritzer with Melon Mambo Re-inker in it (Alcohol 70 Proof or less and as few or many drops of re-inker you wish). I love the look of this card as it makes me think of a mermaid but you can see how the lines are very distinct and the colors vary across the card. It looks cool but the OCD in my goes a little crazy. When there is a spot that doesn’t have ink or enough ink, I spritz and spritz and then over do it. Ehhh What are you going to do? Remember less is more! 🙂 I added the wooden greeting and the tag. The little flowers came in the kit but are white so I pounced a few times on them with my Daffodil Delight Sponge Dauber and make them yellow! 🙂 Love it! Here is another photo showing that tab look of this card!

Scallop Template, Hooray It's Your Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I was really impressed with all of the goodies that were included in this kit and how amazing the cards are! I really loved making them and seeing what my other stampers came up with in the class!

Hooray It's Your Day Kit

Here is another snapshot of all of the supplies! And here is 1 set of all of the cards. The kit makes 5 each of these!

Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Hooray It’s Your Day!! (Part 1)

File Folder Card, Hooray It's Your Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is just one of the fabulous cards you can create from the Hooray It’s Your Day card kit from the Occasions Mini Catalog (which ends on June 2nd)! I had some much fun with this kit and I made a lot of modifications! Remember, you don’t have to follow the instructions on these kits! The kit comes with 5 each of 4 different designs for a total of 20 cards including envelopes. I think the envelopes are my favorite part – Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, and Daffodil Delight! LOVE THEM!!!!

Hooray It's Your Day Kit

Look at all these goodies!!! Of course the spritzer and mask templates can be used over and over again. Also, there is tons of Washi Tape on that roll and I didn’t come close to using it all. Love it! Okay so let’s get down to the fun stuff!!! I will be showing 2 cards today and the other 2 tomorrow! 🙂

File Folder Card, Hooray It's Your Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another photo of the File Folder Card! This is super cute and the file folder style is really popular right now. Still not sure if it is my thing but I’ll go with it! TIP: When sealing your Wild Wasabi pocket for the file card to go in, you need to stay really, really close to the edge. Even staying close, I had to cut down my file card. Another option would be to use your washi tape to seal the ends by wrapping it around the side. This would allow for plenty of room for your file card! Then you can decorate as you wish with the thought bubbles, washi tape, wooden stars, and star clip! I used the Crazy About You Stamp Set for this card. (I didn’t purchase the coordinating stamp set – Hooray It’s Your Day and just used a few of my favorite greeting sets!) Also, I didn’t add any color to this one…..I noticed that a few days later that mine didn’t look like the sample in the kit photo! 🙂

Gift Card Holder, Hooray It's Your Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love love love this one because it is an emboss resist card. The card comes already embossed on the front with that fish tail look. What do you call that pattern? Let me know in the comment below! I actually used my sponge daubers on this card rather than the spritzer. You know how much I love those things. Then for the tag, I stamped the greeting from Age Awareness and added a little Washi Tape and Silver Glimmer Paper (included in the kit). The other cool thing about this card is it comes with a gift card holder built in. All of the score lines are created and you just need to add a little adhesive (Fast Fuse works best) on the outer edge! Check this out! Perfect for a Graduation card!!!

Gift Card Holder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now you have to wait until tomorrow to see the other 2 cards in the kit. Be sure you are subscribed to my blog in the upper right hand corner and you will receive an email of my blog post so you don’t miss out! See you tomorrow!

Technique Tuesday – Sponging Backgrounds!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means……I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and this one uses my favorite tool – SPONGE DAUBERS!!!! Love love love them!!! Without further ado…

Hello Life, Sponge background, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I took this fabulous sample right from the Stampin’ Success magazine that I receive as a Demonstrator (another fabulous perk) and I added my own flare to it! Here is the sample from the magazine which you can see I left off the Pom Pom Twine and Epoxy Heart and their background was done a little differently as well.

Happy Card

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Sponge Daubers, Ink Pads, Stacked with Love Washi Tape, Baker’s Twine, Hello Life Stamp Set

I started off with a card base of Whisper White and I stamped the heart outline image from the Hello Life all over the background. I did the bottom two rows in Calypso Coral, then the next row up in stamped off Calypso Coral. Then I moved to Pink Pirouette and continued with that all the way up! Then I stamped the Love image in Calypso Coral on the bottom right and with Pink Pirouette in the top left. This just adds a little fun to your background! Now you can add a strip of Washi Tape to the bottom in your choice of color and pattern. Then with a 3-1/2″ square of Whisper White you will create your sponged background. Using Pink Pirouette, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Calypso Coral, you will sponge along your piece of paper making sure to overlap the colors a little bit so you have that nice smooth transition of colors rather that strips of color. Then stamp the greeting on the sponged cardstock in Basic Black and adhere to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I added a bow with the Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine to finish it off! Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion!

I have created a Video Tutorial for you to showcase that sponged background! Be sure to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe to my Channel as well!

I Just Can’t Resist!!!

Posted on

I am loving the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure! It is so much fun and simple to get an emboss resist look without pulling out all of your embossing tools. You only need to pull out this paper and a coloring tool of your choice! Today, I’m using Sponge Daubers – my favorites!

Sponge Daubers Resist, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started off with a card base of Pool Party and then I cut a piece of Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper into 4″ x 5-1/4″! Using my Sponge Daubers and Ink Pads (Pool Party & Calypso Coral) I added color to the paper! I went from the corner to the middle with each color applying ink by going side to side (diagonally). Then I took the flower from the Crazy About You Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog and stamped it in Calypso Coral. I love how it gave that darker look! I used the coordinating Hello You Thinlits to cut out the Hello and stamped the Sunshine from the Crazy About You Stamp Set. You can get this stamp set in Wood, Clear, and Photopolymer! Bundle with the Thinlits and Save! I layered the greeting on top of a strip of Pool Party and a strip of Beach House Washi Tape! Of course a little bling of Rhinestones finished it off! LOVE IT!

Check out this post and this Video Tutorial on more ways to use the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper!

Valentine Treats!!!!!

Posted on

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner….okay so still a month away but still! I thought I would share some fabulous treats with you that are quick and simple for you to make up for kid’s classrooms, neighbors, nieces and nephews, friends, or random people you see the week of Valentine’s Day! 🙂

Valentine Treat Bag, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is your traditional treat bag using a 4″ x 6″ Cellophane Bag! I used some of the Stacked with Love Washi Tape to decorate the bag. I overlapped the ends on the back of the bag in the same spot as the seam of the bag. For the Topper, I used a piece of Real Red Cardstock measuring 4-1/4″ x 4″ and punched the bottom of the front with my Scallop Border Punch! Then I stamped the front with a To/From stamp in Real Red Ink. The one I used was from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set which is still available from the Holiday Mini Catalog!! Then I folded the piece of cardstock over the top of the bag and stapled it closed. Then I decided I didn’t like the staples showing so I added the Gold Ribbon which looks amazing so I’m glad I added it! If you like the staple took, you can leave the ribbon off or just place it lower. In one of my classes, I had a stamper staple on top of her ribbon so that is an option as well! I finished it off with a few hearts punched out with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and some Gold Glitter Paper!

Valentine Treat Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This little treat box is perfect for oddly shaped candy or other treats or if you wish to keep it a surprise! I started with the Tiny Treat Boxes which have also been held over from the Holiday Mini Catalog! Before assembling the box, I stamped the So Sweet greeting from the Hello Life Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I stamped it to wrap around to left. When we did this box in a stamp class, many of the stampers stamped either the entire greeting again on the back 2 sides or stamped just the curvy end on the other 2 sides! Then I added a little strip of Stacked with Love Washi Tape. After handling the box and showing it off at classes I realized that it started to curl on the corner so I would suggest wrapping the Washi Tape all the way around or at least around the corner to the side and not on the corner! I finished it off with some Real Red Cotton Ribbon! I love how that bow looks! Adorable!

Let me know what you think about these treats and what you plan on creating for your Valentine’s Day Treats in the comments below! I would love to hear your plans!
