This & That Album, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love using the This & That Albums for all of the items I collect throughout the year. Every ticket stub, game score card, receipt and other little fun items cane be found in these little Albums! Of course I have to add in a few pictures here and there as well! This album is fun and all over the place because I just pick a page and put it in there. It doesn’t go in chronological order or have any theme, it’s a little bit of This & That (hehe see how I did that)!!!!  My 2013 Album is the one of the bottom right with all the ribbons on the binding. I love that and it’s a great way to use up those little pieces of ribbon you have left over!!! The 2014 Album is on the bottom right. As you can see I have ticket, score cards from playing games with friends and family and a few of my favorites in pictures and in writing!!!

Here is another page with our Garth Brooks tickets and a little writing about the night. Yes, that is a Home Depot receipt from our Christmas Tree! 🙂 I know I’m silly to keep it but I love it!!!

T&T Album5

This page is fabulous to me!!! Throughout the year, each month Brad and I wrote on little punched pieces of cardstock what made us happy that month and we kept them in a jar. On New Year’s Eve, we read through the items and really enjoyed seeing all of the amazing things in our lives. I then put all of those in my This & That Album! There is a lot of talk about nice weather and yummy foods and time spent with each other in there!!! Just a wonderful page that makes me smile!

This & That Album, www.LaurasStampPad.com

My nieces and nephews always can make me smile so this page is all about them and how much I love them!

I love having my picture taken but it doesn’t happy often because I’m usually behind the camera! Here are some pictures of me throughout the year! I love seeing how I changed and how I cut my hair to donate it and how amazing life is!!!!

Have you ever used one of the This & That Albums? Do you have tickets and items that you would like to put in a book to remember the moment? You can check out all of the goodies here! It is super simple and lots of fun! Let me know in the comment below how you use your This & That Album or how you plan to use it!

Technique Tuesday – Center Step Card!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and that is this fabulous Center Step Card!!! I got this idea from fellow stamper Julie Davison! I added a little of my own flare to it and had some fun!!!

Center Step, Stair Step, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. With your piece in your Stampin’ Trimmer at the 1″ mark, you will cut from 1″ to 5-1/4″. Then slide your paper to the other side and 1″ from the edge you will cut from the 1″ to the 5-1/4″ mark. Now using a Stampin’ Trimmer or Simply Score, along the 8-1/2″ side, you will score at the 1″, 2″ and 5-1/4″ mark and only score in 1″ deep. Flip your paper around to the other side and do the same. When you are done, you should have two little squares and one long rectangle on both sides of your card. Again along the 8-1/2″ side, you will score at 4-1/4″ but rather than going all the way across your card, you will score just in the center leaving 1″ on both sides un-scored. Now you can fold creating a mountain/valley fold on the bottom portion and then all of the top score lines down. Now you have your card base and you can decorate as you wish!

In the sample above, I used some of the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper for the side pieces. Those measure 7/8″ x 1″ and 7/8″ x 3-1/8″. Those were leftover scrap pieces that I had after doing another project. I love being able to use up my scraps! For the center decoration, the Bermuda Bay cardstock measures 3-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and then the Whisper White is 3″ x 4-1/8″. I stamped the greeting from the Big Day Stamp Set which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items you can get for free!!! I brushed the edges with my Sponge Daubers and colored in the cake!!!! Love it!!!

I’m sure I lost you all in the directions above and so a Video Tutorial is a must! Julie did an amazing job showing this off and providing a template so you can check that out here!!!

I hope you try this out and add your own flare. I would love to see what you create. Also, today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration which means this stamp set used for this card will no longer be available after today! Earn your Sale-A-Bration items today when you place a $50 (US) order!!!

Birthday Balloons!!!

Posted on

Boy Balloon Bash, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Can you say, the perfect Man Card??? I think so!!! I love how fun this card turned out and I love that it is a great man card as I struggle with those since my favorite color is Pink and I love ribbon and bling and flower stamps! You could create this card in any color that you wish….even Pink! It also uses up some scraps as well!!! Double Bonus! You can create this card in the recipient’s favorite color as well! How awesome is that? Okay let’s get started!!! I used a card base of Whisper White (4-1/4″ x 11″) and layered on some Pacific Point (4″ x 5-1/4″). Then I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and stamped the balloon from the Balloon Bash Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog randomly all over the card! Be sure to fall off of your cardstock to give the illusion that the balloon are floating all over. For the greeting, I used a piece of Whisper White measuring 1″ x 3-3/4″ and stamped the Happy Birthday from the Big Day Stamp Set which is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set! I layered that onto a piece of Pacific Point measuring 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ and added it to my card. You can place it anywhere on your card….center, lower half, or upper half. I usually place it where I need to cover up a mistake or a place that the covers just the right amount of balloons. 🙂 This card is fairly simple and uses up scraps! I love it!!!

Technique Tuesday – Iris Fold!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means….I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! I love this one because it creates an amazing look AND it uses little scraps (who doesn’t have millions of those laying around)!!!!

Iris Fold, Scrap Use, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Need a third reason to create this card? It makes a great Man Card!!!! Now lets get started on how I created this!!!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Scraps of Paper, 2-1/2″ Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals

You will start with a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and using your 2-1/2″ Circle Punch push it all the way in on right side and center it top to bottom and punch!!! Now apply Snail or Fast Fuse around the circle and start laying your strips of cardstock down. I used Pacific Point, Old Olive, and Basic Gray in the card above. The strips are about 2 inches long (or less) and maybe a 1/4″ wide. Again you can use any type of scrap because no one is going to see the back and you will just lay one down and then the next color and the next. You can do them close together or farther part just be sure that the strip crosses over the other color and that you can’t see light between the strip and the punched circle. Once you have done the first layer, you will add Stampin’ Dimensionals at each cross section and then start in with the second layer. If you need to add in more Stampin Dimensionals, that’s no problem and if you end up not using on that was already placed down, no worries there either. It will help with adhering this piece to your card front! Once you have completed the second round, you are all done!!! At this point you can add ribbon or stamping or any embellishments to the left hand side or leave it black like mine above. Add a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals to the corners and attach it to your card base (I used Old Olive above)! After that piece is in place, you will stamp your greeting. Be sure the greeting is going to fit in the hole. The greeting used above was from Remembering Your Birthday and the coordinating greeting is stamped on the inside! Love it! Simple, quick, Man Card and uses up those scraps!!!

Iris Fold, Scrap Use, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another sample using Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pink Pirouette. I added in some Calypso Coral Seam Binding and the greeting is from Simply Wonderful which is a free Sale-A-Bration item! You can still earn this stamp set for FREE with a $50 (US) order placed through the end of this month! Shop here and you will also earn points as a Laura’s Loyal Stamper!!!!

Pairing Petite Petals!!!

Posted on

Pansy Flowers Punched, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love this quick and simple card that is just fabulous….after all it has flowers on it!!!! I started with a card base of Bermuda Bay but you could use any color you would like for this! Then I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and punched along the left hand side with my Petite Petals Punch! You can do as many as you wish just be sure to stay away from the edges and away from each flower. You don’t want to punch real close and have it rip because it is too close! Then you will stamp your greeting! I used the greeting from Petite Pairs (how fitting ; ) )but there is plenty of room for a large greeting or small one! Before adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine to the middle. Now you can place it on the front of your card. To finish it off, I added Pearls to the center of each flower! You could always use a Rhinestone OR (this just came to me) you could do this in yellow and add a Basic Black Candy Dot to the center and it would look like a Daisy! Oh I just may have to go do that! Also, you can add some of those punched flowers to the inside of your card for a little decoration! Isn’t that fabulous and simple? I love it!

Beautiful Butterfly!!!

Posted on

Bitty Butterfly Embossed, www.LaurasStamppad.com

I really went through a Butterfly phase last Spring and I think as we get closer to this Spring, I’m reaching for those butterflies again! I love the colors, simplicity, and cuteness of this card! It also uses up scraps! Bonus!!!!! I started with a Whisper White card base and then took stripes of cardstock that are 1″ wide in Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Strawberry Slush. I took each color and ran each through the Big Shot with a different embossing folder! I used my Chevron Folder, Perfect Polka Dot Folder, Fancy Fan Folder, and Arglye Folder! You can use any folders you have! Then I took my Bitty Butterfly Punch and punched the bottom of each strip making sure to keep the angle the same each time. I did it by lining up the edge of the paper with the corner of the punch!!!

Punch Tutorial, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Then you will want to stamp one of the small butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set in the coordinating colors and punch them out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. Without using adhesive, I set the first butterfly down towards the bottom on the left side of my card base to make sure my spacing was good. I started with my longest piece (some of my scraps were smaller so I used those for the little ones.) I added Snail Adhesive to the strip and placed it real close to the edge of the white, right above the butterfly. Then I added adhesive to the next one and spaced it real close and up a bit from the first one. Remember that each strip is 1″ wide and your card front is 4-1/4″ wide so you only have 1/4″ to have in between!!! Keep moving until you have all 4 strips placed down. I didn’t make specific measurements on the length because I just used scraps and after placing them down I trimmed off the extra cardstock along the top. Then I added a piece of Stampin Dimensional to each of the little butterflies and added those to the bottom of the strips! My greeting was stamped from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set in Strawberry Slush. Also, I added a little Itty Bitty Punch Pack flower in Coastal Cabana with a Rhinestone in the middle! Lots of scraps used up with this adorable card! Colorful and perfect for Spring!!!

How do you like to use up your scraps? Let me know in the comments below!

Valentine’s Tic Tac Toe!!!

Posted on

Tic Tac Toe Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Still need a Valentine’s Day card? This one is quick and simple! You can create it with a piece of Whisper White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) or you can use a Note Card & Envelope! Then using my Work of Art Stamp Set, I stamped the long image in Real Red and the heart in Basic Black! You could always mix it up and use Pinks & Reds and really any color scheme! I added the little greeting at the bottom from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and cut it out with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits (Bundle & Save!) Then I layered it onto a piece of Basic Black punched out with the Modern Label Punch! You could always use the Happy Valentine’s Day from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set or any other greeting you like! I love how quick and simple this card is and it is also very gender neutral!

Just 11 more days till Valentine’s Day!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Posted on

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! This is one of my favorite holidays because it is low key and there is just so much to be thankful for today and everyday throughout the year!!!! I am so very thankful to each and every one of you who visit my blog, comment, share, and pin! Thank you all very much! You are all fabulous!!!

Today I thought I would share a quick and simple little project!

Gift Tags Cookies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I get told by many people that my Chocolate Chip Cookies are pretty good so I usually whip up a batch for any and all special occasions – family visits, friends visits, when visiting my new niece and nephew in the hospital, and many other times! It is always more fun to give the cookies in an adorable package too! Here I used some of the Gusseted Cellophane Bags to put 13 (Baker’s Dozen) cookies into. I tied them up with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon and then added a tag. These tags are quick and simple and can probably use some of the scraps you have laying around! You need a piece that is 2″ wide and the length can be whatever you wish. I go with about 2-1/2″ but sometimes a little shorter or longer if I have a scrap piece that measures just so. I used my Scallop Tag Topper Punch for the adorable top. Then I used a piece of scrap Whisper White measuring 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ and decorated it. For the one up front, I used the Work of Art Stamp Set and Bitty Butterfly Punch. For the two in the back, I used the Embellished Events Stamp Set! Quick and Simple Gift Packaging! Check out this tag here to use this Holiday Season!

I hope you have an amazing day today celebrating Thanksgiving! I know I will as I will be spending lots of time with Family!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween Treats!!!

Posted on

Halloween is right around the corner so it is time to start working on those treat bags for your child’s classroom, trick or treaters who come to your door, to pass out at your place of business or for the little monsters in your life (that would be my nieces and nephews 🙂 ) Here are a few simple yet adorable ones that I have created!

Halloween Treat Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I think the fact that it is so little just makes me so excited I could squeal!!! 🙂 This is one of the Tiny Treat Boxes from the Holiday Mini Catalog which is a 2″ square! Small enough that you don’t need to put a trunk load of treats inside but big enough for some goodies! Before assembling the box, I used my Decorative Mask (click here to see how to use this) and black ink pad to add the polka dots (using my sponge daubers of course). Be sure to set it aside to dry for a bit because I found it takes just a bit longer for the ink to soak into this material. I then used my Pumpkin Pie Chevron Ribbon to tie around it and into a knot. For the tag, I stamped the little bat from the Freaky Friends Stamp Set and the Trick or Treat from the Good Greetings Stamp Set (Hostess Exclusive)! I punched out the greeting with my Scallop Oval Punch and layered it onto a Large Oval Punch in Black cardstock. I attached it to my chevron ribbon with some Black Taffeta Ribbon! Super cute!!!

Treat Bags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Then I have these little treat bags which are even easier to whip a few hundred…..okay maybe not that many…or maybe! I used the 4″ x 6″ Cello Bags, tied the Chevron Ribbon around to close it and made the tag. For the tag, I used my scrap pieces of 2″ wide Whisper White cardstock. Slide that piece into your Scallop Tag Topper Punch and stamp your greeting. On my longer pieces I stamped bigger images from the Freaky Friends Stamp Set (like the witch) and for the smaller pieces I stamped smaller images. I love using up scraps! I did use my Corner Rounder Punch for the bottom corners so it would match the rounded top corners that the tag topper punch creates! I used the Freaky Friends Stamp Set and Good Greetings Stamp Set! I thought I would share this photo as well!

Treat Bags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I colored in the witch with an Old Olive face, Pumpkin Pie legs and arm, and Soft Suede broom! 🙂 heeeeheeeheee

I hope these gave you some great ideas for your Halloween Treats! You have 24 Days or less to get them done!!! 🙂

Also, don’t forget today is the last day to Stock Up and Save!!! Click here for all the details!

Technique Tuesday – Punch Art

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means……I have a fabulous technique to show you today!!!! It is super cute and can be used as a Man Card!!!! I KNOW! I’m excited because you all know how difficult it is for me to come up with man cards since pinks and purples, bling, and flowers are my favorite things!!!! (Also, voting is still taking place on my New Catalog Giveaway, click here to vote!)

Pac Man Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Supplies Needed: Owl Builder Punch, 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch, 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, 1″ Square Punch, Cardstock

I love how you can create just about anything with a few punches! Eeeeee So fun and exciting! I created the yellow dots (Daffodil Delight) with the eyes in the Owl Punch. The enemies were created from the owl and I just snipped off the feet. I found that Real Red is good for Blinky, Blushing Bride for Pinky, Coastal Cabana for Inky, and Pumpkin Pie for Clyde. For Pac-Man, I used Daffodil Delight and punched a 1-3/4″ Circle and then slide the circle half way into the Square Punch in order to punch out his mouth. To get that little bitty eye, I used my 1/8″ Handheld Punch to punch out the eye and allow the black background to show through!!!! How simple is that? To see this in action, check out my Video Tutorial here. If you love it, be sure to give it a thumbs up! And don’t forget to Subscribe to my Channel so that you don’t miss out on any of my videos! 🙂
