Stamping Layered Flowers!!!

Posted on

I love stamping with flowers….that’s no secret for sure! There are just so many fabulous ways to use them like this fun background card but also this one I’m sharing today! Stamping layered flowers gives a whole new look to the flower and project! It’s super fun!

Stamping Layered Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the Floral Essence Stamp Set to create this stunning card. Using both the large and small flower together just makes for a whole new look!!! You totally need to try it out!

I started with a Seaside Spray card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and stamped all over it with the Floral Essence Stamp Set. I used Seaside Spray ink for both layers of the flower but the large flower I stamped off once. For the smaller flower, I used full strength Seaside Spray. It is super easy to stamp the 2 flowers because there is no right or wrong way to line up the flowers, simply overlap that center a little. I stamped the center of the flower in Crushed Curry and the leaves in Mossy Meadow. Be sure to stamp the flowers and greenery off the edge of the cardstock so the image seems to be continuous!

After stamping this fabulous layered flower, I layered this piece onto Crumb Cake (4″ x 5-1/4″). Before layering it onto the card front, I added a strip of the Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon. Simply secure the ends on the back side with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add a few more to secure it to the card front!

Rococo Rose Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here I did the same card in Rococo Rose and it looks just as fabulous! For the greeting, I used Circle Punches to punch out Whisper White and Crumb Cake. The greeting is from the same Floral Essence Stamp Set and in the same ink color used for the flowers! This makes fewer supplies used which makes things easier! I added a few loops of Linen Thread behind the greeting for some texture and to make the greeting POP!

Which color do you prefer for your layered flowers card?? Let me know in the comments below! If you can’t wait to create this same card, check out the supply list below!!!

Fussy Cutting Frenzy!!!

Posted on

Do you like to fussy cut?? You know where you cut out an image by hand rather than having a punch or framelit! I’m not a fan of it because I don’t have the patience. Apparently the day I made this card I had lots of time because I went on a Fussy Cutting Frenzy!!!

Fussy cutting frenzy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Minus the fussy cutting frenzy that took place to make this card, it was a fairly simple card. The amazing Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper and Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set did all the hard work!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base. Next, I stamped along the side using the Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set and Mint Macaron Ink. TIP: Start somewhere in the middle with the circle image. Then stamp the twisted image on either side and fill in till it is complete. Also, make sure the twisted image is on the edge/falls off the edge. The designer paper will cover up the other end so if they aren’t all level, that’s okay! I did this same stamped image on the inside of the card too!

Next, I added the piece of Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper measuring 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Be sure it covers up all of the ends of the twisted stamped images. Then I fussy cut out the hummingbird from another piece of the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper. This paper is so gorgeous! Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added the hummingbird to the card front!

For the greeting, I stamped it in Soft Suede Ink and punched it out with the coordinating Timeless Label Punch (Bundle & Save 10%). Then I stamped it again in Terracotta Tile Ink so I could fussy cut (hand cut it out) out the word kindness. Next, I glued the word kindness over the other one and flipped it over to add the ribbon. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals to secure the ribbon, I laid the ribbon down in a squiggle pattern and then added it to the card front.

Memorable Mosaic, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I did the same pattern of stamping along the edge and then I added some Very Vanilla cardstock to write on! This also covers up the unevenness of the twisted stamped image! 🙂

Sending Happy Wishes!!!

The Mosaic Suite from the New Annual Catalog is so beautiful. The colors and styles of the tiles on the stamps and designer paper are so fun! This image Sending Happy Wishes Your Way is actually a stamp in Terracotta Tile ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. See I’m telling you, amazing set of products!!!

Sending Happy Wishes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is actually really easy to make and could be done in a few different colors! This makes it more fun to mix and match and use products you might already have!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base. Next, I ripped the edges of a piece of Soft Suede just a bit on both sides. This gives the card some texture and a bit of a rustic look. Then, I layered on a piece of the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper measuring 2″ x 5-1/2″. I added this down the center of the card front.

For the greeting, I first punched out a Very Vanilla circle with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch to help pop the greeting pop! Next, I stamped the greeting from the Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set in Terracotta Tile Ink onto Very Vanilla. Sending Happy Wishes Your Way is perfect for any occasion! Using the coordinating Timeless Tile Punch, I punched out the greeting. For those fun loops of Linen Thread, I wrapped it around my 4 fingers. Next, I pulled the loops off and twisted them into a figure 8 and placed them on the back of the greeting. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I secured the loops all fanned out and added it to the card front!

Inside details, www.LaurasStampPad.com

If you want to make this card, check out the supplies listed below! Also, stay tuned as I have a lot more cards to share using the Mosaic Mood Suite!!

All Days Are Beautiful…

Posted on

…that begin with you!!! Isn’t that a fabulous greeting?!?!? I mean come on! If you got a card that said that, you are sure to smile! Am I right?? Of course, all days are beautiful when they are sunny too!!! Or days that are spent with friends and family!!! Or really just any day we wake up in the morning!

All Days Are Beautiful, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses products from the Perennial Essence Suite which I showed off yesterday as well as tips and inspiration. Let’s get started on the details for this fabulous card!

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Next, I layered on a piece of Petal Pink (4″ x 5-1/4″) and then a strip of the Perennial Essence Designer Paper (2″ x 5″). This paper is just stunning and even though each strip looks differently, it’s all fabulous!

For the greeting, I punched out a 2-1/4″ Circle from the So Saffron piece of the Perennial Essence Designer Vellum. One side is darker and shiny and the other side is more pale and rough looking. You can use whichever side you prefer!! Then I stamped the flower and greeting from the Floral Essence Stamp Set. The flower was stamped in Petal Pink Ink with a So Saffron center. The greeting was stamped in Blackberry Bliss. I layered these together and added them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for texture! To finish it off, I added a few Basic Sequins!

Floral Card Insert, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Of course Blackberry Bliss is too dark to be able to write on so I added some Whisper White to the inside and stamped a coordinating flower! I’m really loving the decorated inside of cards lately. I think it’s here to stay! Do you decorate the inside of your cards? Let me know in the comments!

Check out the supply list below so you can make this card!! Don’t forget all orders of $40 or more earn Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers! Also, don’t forget that all days are beautiful….especially those that I get to spend with you here on my blog, social media, or stamping in person!

Punched Purple Posy!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! The New In Colors are here but sadly Purple Posy isn’t! Stampin’ Up is having some quality issues with this color and they want to make it right before selling it! While that is super frustrating to not have this color, we all want a good product, right?!?!? Since I love the color but don’t have the ink pad, I’m just using the cardstock!!! Check out this beautiful Punched Purple Posy card!!!

Punched Purple Posy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here I used the cardstock for the flowers and layer and didn’t need the ink pad! Thinking of out the box so I can use this fabulous new color! I’m loving purple so much lately! (Have I mentioned Claire looks really good in Purple too?? 🙂 )

I started with a Mint Macaron Card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″! Next, I stamped all over the background with the leaves from the Floral Essence Stamp Set! I used Mint Macaron Ink for the leaves for that perfect tone on tone look! Then I layered on a piece of Purple Posy cardstock measuring 3″ x 4″.

Floral Essence Purple Posy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the focal point, I cut a piece of Whisper White measuring 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
and stamped the greeting from the Floral Essence Stamp Set along the bottom in Memento Black Ink! I stamped 2 of the flowers from the same set onto Purple Posy cardstock too! You need 2 flowers so they overlay perfectly for that full punched purple posy! I don’t know that this is a Posy though…..I’m not good with flower names but I’m pretty sure. 🙂 Before adding the white layer to the card front, I tied some Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon around it. Then I added it to the card front and adhered the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

This style works perfectly for a lot of different occasions. Just change up the greeting and even the colors to match the occasion or season! I love it! Be sure to check out the supply list below if you would like to recreate this card!

Quick Thinking of You Card!!!

Posted on

Sometimes I like to really go all out on a card and other times I like quick and simple. That might be because of lack of time or a lack of creativity. Surely I’m not alone here. There are times I sit down to stamp and I got nothing. It is a struggle and I question everything. Then there are times I sit down and I can’t stamp/create fast enough. Try this with that and oh oh oh what about this. Have you had those days?? Let me know in the comments below! Today, I’m sharing this quick thinking of you card that I created on a blah day! Still nailed it I think! 🙂

Quick Thinking of You Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Of course it is fabulous, I used the amazing Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper!!! It is so beautiful!

I started with a Whisper White card base which means I don’t need to insert a white piece on the inside for writing on. Woot Woot! Next, I stamped the filigree image from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on either ends in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then I added a 4″ x 4″ square of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper in the middle. Using a piece of this size means that you can get 9 of these cards from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper with no waste!

For the greeting, I used the Everyday Label Punch and the NEW Timeless Label Punch!!! Stamping the greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on Whisper White and layering it onto Petal Pink. Before adding it to the card front, I added a small strip of the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. Then I added the greeting on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Get through this together, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I stamped another greeting from the same set in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then I stamped one of the flowers in Petal Pink! Just perfect! Also, is this greeting not the most fabulous thing ever?? I love it!

Layering Designer Paper!!!

Posted on

Do you love Designer Series Paper like me? The biggest struggle is which side do you use!!! 🙂 One of the things I like to do is use smaller pieces and use one side on the top of the card and the other on the bottom. Another option is to make strips and use both sides. There are lots of amazing ways to use designer paper. Check out my One Sheet Wonders for even more ideas!

Layering Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here I used 2 similar patterns from the same pack of Floral Romance Designer Series Paper!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I stamped the dots from the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set in Petal Pink Ink. I made sure both images were falling off the paper a bit just so I know it was on the edge. Then I added the 2 strips of Floral Romance Designer Series Paper! One measures 4-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ and the other measures 4″ x 1″. They are overlapped just a bit.

Decorating in Odds, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I stamped it from the Strong & Beautiful Stamp onto a Whisper White rectangle measuring 2-3/4″ x 3/4″. It is then layered onto a piece of Petal Pink measuring 3″ x 1″! Using the Spring Punch, I punched out 3 pieces in Mossy Meadow. You have to decorate in odds, right?!?!? Then, I added those to the back of the greeting, securing them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I added a little flower from the Frosted Flower Embellishments.

You're Amazing, www.LaurasStampPad.com

But wait, there is more!!! I stamped those same dots on the inside as well a little greeting at the bottom! I love it!!! Decorating the inside of the card is so my jam right now!!! What about you?? Let me know in the comments below!

Mother’s Day Card Ideas!!!

Posted on

Happy Thursday!!! Mother’s Day is coming upon us and if you still need ideas, I got you!!! I have had so much fun with the Floral Romance Designer Paper/Vellum and the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set!!! Check out another sample here!

Mother's Day Card Ideas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is one of my favorites using this amazing Floral Romance Designer Vellum. Stay tuned as I will be posting the other soon! The colors are soft and beautiful. That vellum is stunning and the little bling flowers are just perfect!

I started with a Fresh Fig card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ and layered on a piece of the Floral Romance Vellum measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. I went a smidge less on the white because I didn’t want it to go all the way to the edge of the vellum in case it was a bit off. Also, I wanted the edge to fade off with the vellum. The awesome thing about this vellum is that your adhesive doesn’t show through. That is super awesome and I love it. No need to place adhesive in certain spots of anything!

For the focal point, I die cut a Stitched Shape Oval and stamped the greeting from Strong & Beautiful in Fresh Fig Ink. This greeting is perfect for Mother’s Day as it is just says it all!!! Using the Sprig Punch and Leaf Punch, I punched out some greenery in Mossy Meadow and placed it around the greeting. Of course I added it to the card from with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some texture! For the flowers, I used the Bitty Flowers Punch and Fresh Fig cardstock. To finish it off, I added some Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the center of each flower!

Happy Mother's Day, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I went with a piece of Petal Pink because I thought it was soft enough to write on but gave a little pop! I stamped the greeting from Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set. I also added a few flowers too! It’s just perfect for Mother’s Day and has that added touch of love since it is homemade!

Creating Stained Glass!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know that means I have a fabulous technique for you and this one is super cool! Creating stained glass on a card makes it look gorgeous and so real!!! This Easter card is perfect because it looks like a church window!

Creating Stained Glass, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it just BEAUTIFUL?!?!?! I love it! I used the Stampin’ Blends to color the stained glass and the butterflies!!!

Starting out, I cut a Pool Party card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ and added it to the card front! Using a piece of the Graceful Glass Designer Series Paper, I colored the BACK of it with Stampin’ Blends Markers!

Coloring Vellum With Stampin' Blends, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the Dark Stampin’ Blends colors because the vellum makes the color lighter already and I love bright colors over a super light pastel. Once it was colored, I had to trim off the top and bottom a bit to make it fit my card. The piece is 6″ tall and my card is just 5-1/2″! Stampin’ Up vellum is amazing because it is thick enough that Snail adhesive doesn’t show through. In the past I have hated vellum because it is so hard to adhere it without the adhesive showing through. This is not the case and I am pumped!!!

Church Stained Glass Window, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I finished off the card with stamping a butterfly from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. Using the Butterfly Duet Punch, I punched it out and colored it with the same Stampin’ Blends! It is amazing!!! You could use the lighter marker for the butterfly since you don’t have that vellum toning down the color. Again, I love bold colors so I went with it! I added the butterflies with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some texture. The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. Then I added some Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins for some texture and bling! It’s perfect!!!

My Amazing Card!!!

Posted on

Have you ever created a card and thought oh my goodness this is AMAZING?? I sure hope you have because all card are amazing and made with love. I will admit I don’t have that OMG feeling with all cards though. This feeling comes about once a year or sometimes longer. My last most amazing card was this one in November 2016! I still have that card and admire it randomly. Well today I’m sharing another one of my amazing cards! This one just screams beauty at me and I LOVE IT!

My Amazing Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I hope you love it as much as I do but if not that’s okay too! The colors, the pattern and that little hint of bling do it for me!!!

I started with a Highland Heather card base and layered on a piece of Coastal Cabana measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-7/8″ x 5-1/8) and placed it in the Stamparatus. Using the Florentine Filigree Stamp Set and a Spectrum Pad, I created that amazing background! The colors for the Spectrum Pad are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay. It is super easy to create because the Stamparatus does all of the work with spacing and stamping. Simply notch down the plate after each row.

Layering Circles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

TIP: The hardest part is probably making sure the ink pad is always stamping the correct color on the same end. Place the ink pad above the Stamparatus Plate after inking each time with the flat side of the ink pad on the left side.

Now for the focal point of those layered circles!!! Using the same Florentine Filigree Stamp Set, I stamped the circle image in Bermuda Bay and in Gorgeous Grape. I used the Layering Circles Framelits for the Bermuda Bay Circle and the 2″ Circle Punch for the Gorgeous Grape one. Next, I stamped the greeting in Bermuda Bay and slide the long skinny piece of Whisper White into the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch. That is how I got those slightly rounded ends. Then I added some of the Pool Party and Silver Baker’s Twine to the back securing with Stampin’ Dimensionals for texture. I finished off the card with a few Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins for some bling!

Isn’t it just fabulous??? What color combination would you use for your Spectrum Pad?? Let me know in the comments below because I have 2 left to ink up and I just can’t decide on the colors.
