Color Me Happy Project Kit!!!

Posted on

The Color Me Happy Project Kit just became available on November 1st. It is super fun and fabulous. This kit uses the NEW Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers!!

Color Me Happy Project Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These cards are super cute and a great way to get started with Stampin’ Blends. I love how the images help me with shading and coloring. Also, I have to say that the envelopes in this kit are like beyond amazing. They are colorful and gold trimmed! Amazing!!!

Purple & Pink Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay, so of course this is my favorite because it has flowers. I colored some Rich Razzleberry and some in Pink Pirouette. I simply colored all around the borders of the petal with the dark marker and then blended and filled in with the light color. That gold trim has a sticky back which makes it super easy to use but be careful with wrinkles!

Paper Lanterns, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is my second favorite because I think it looks like a great Man Card and I love those colors! The paper lanterns were super fun and easy to color. TIP: Be sure to stamp a lantern in the place of the popped up lantern so you still have the string and tail. (opps on my first one!) Another tip would be to stamp rather high up so that your string hits the string going side to side. Of course, if you are a bit off, you can always draw it in with a marker! 🙂

Party Line of Lanterns, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Again with these lanterns, I simply colored the outer edge with the darker color and then blended and filled in with the lighter color!

Color Me Happy Stamp Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card I super love because that greeting is fabulous and scroll-y and has a drop shadow. There are so many coloring options for that. You could color it the same color in light and dark or mix and match. Eeeee So much fun and you all know I send lots of thank you cards each month. (Anyone who orders from me each month receives a card from me.)

Thank you, www.LaurasStampPad.com

That gold trim around the greeting is so fabulous and the color combination for this card is just amazing!

Little Birdies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love this little birdies on this card but that greeting was a pain in the rear. Thank goodness, Stampin’ Up gives you extra labels. Since it is a solid image, be sure to ink it up really well and stamp on a piece of scrap a few times. This helps rough up the stamp and allow for the ink to cover the stamp much better.

Colored in Birdies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the birdies, I colored in dark all around the edge and on each dark mark. Also, I colored in the tail with the dark. Then I took the light marker and colored in the center and blended it all together. These birdies are just beautiful and would make a fun love birds card for a wedding, anniversary, engagement, etc.

Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit!!!

Posted on

The Watercolor Christmas Project Kit from the Holiday Mini Catalog is simple and adorable! If you want to send out hand made cards but you are just too busy this time of year, this kit is for you!

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There are 20 total cards in this kit in 4 different designs. I love the gold foil envelopes as well!!! A little tip for the envelope liners is to score the lip before putting it in the envelope. When I stuck it in and just folded the lip, the foil creased all over and didn’t look as nice. I simply placed the liner in my Stampin’ Trimmer and scored it, placed it in the envelope and added a bit of adhesive to the lip to hold them together. They turned out much nicer this way!

Season Of Cheer, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I think this one is my favorite….it’s a hard decision! I love that swirl of Gold Mini Sequin Trim! This card was simple with stamping the greeting on the bottom and added the layers. I secured the sequin trim with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added it to the card front!!!

Christmas Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love the Emerald Envy stripes on this card! There were a few gold sequins that fell off when I cut the strips so I added them around the greeting with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. This was also because I had a little boo boo ink spot to cover up! 🙂 It really makes the greeting POP and I kind of wish I did it to the other one too!

Merriest Christmas Wishes, www.LaurasStampPad.comI love the little holly berries on this one. Of course, I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen for all of the “randomly placed sequins” (aka in the same spots as the photo instructions)!

Holiday Wreath, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This kit has definitely given me some more ideas on how to use sequin trim. Look how just a little strip makes that greeting stand out. I love it!!!

Product List

Of course there are actually 5 of each design for a total of 20 cards but I just showed off 2 of each! I think this is a great kit for quick and simple holiday cards. This time of year can be crazy so enjoy stamping without the fuss and pick up the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit!

Loving the Soft Saying All Inclusive Card Kit!!!

Posted on

Stampin’ Up! has a NEW All Inclusive Card Kit called Soft Saying and it’s fabulous!!! The thing I love the most is that it’s perfect for the beginner because it includes everything. It’s perfect for the seasoned stamper because it’s so beautiful and fun!

Loving Soft Saying Inclusive Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look at all of these beautiful cards! The color scheme isn’t one that I would pick on my own but I do love it. Of course there are flowers in there so I’m happy! There are 20 total cards in this kit with envelopes. The stamp set is perfect for all occasions and it’s always great to have another clear block and Basic Gray Ink!

Mini Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the 2 sets of mini cards in the kit for a total of 4 cards! These cards are 3″ squares. The card bases came printed with that watercolor wash. I added the Washi Tape and stamped the greetings and some leaves/flowers! Next, I added the die cut leaves with a little bit of Fine Tip Glue Pen. Many times though, I just placed a Stampin’ Dimensional over the ends to secure it and placed the greeting on top.

Note Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These are the note card size and there are 8 total in this size! I love the colors of the flowers and gold but also the simple more masculine cards as well! Again, you can see that I used the Washi Tape to secure the die cuts and used very little Fine Tip Glue Pen. It made putting these cards together very quickly!!! My favorites here are the gold rose in the upper left corner and the gray strips in the lower left corner!

Large Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These are the large cards and there are 8 total! Of course, my favorite is the floral die cut and pin in the upper left corner. I loved that the floral die cut had a large enough border that I could put the adhesive there. It was super simple! The greetings are amazing and my favorite is “I’m happy you’re in my life.” I will say there was Lemon Lime Twist Baker’s Twine in the kit and I just didn’t care to use it. I did add it here and there following the instructions in the kit but there are a few I didn’t use it. It’s all about adding in your own flare and I know I’ll use that twine in other projects!

Leftovers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Next up I wanted to show off all the leftover pieces that can be used on future projects! I have leftover labels (or extras if you make a mistake), twine, and washi tape. Then there are the non-consumables – stamps, ink, and clear block that can be used many many times over! I love it! There is also a Refill Kit that you can purchase to make even more cards! The refill kit comes with all of the supplies in the full kit minus the stamps, ink, clear block, and striped box.

If you would like to see the complete unboxing and reveal of this kit, check out my Video Tutorial below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new!

I love the Birthday Bright Project Kit!!!!

Posted on

Looks at those little black bows! PRECIOUS!!! I just love this Birthday Bright Project Kit! It has soooo much goody in  it and the cards and tags are perfect to have on hand all year long!!! The coordinating Birthday Bright Stamp Set works perfectly with this kit but it’s great to have on hand for other projects too!
Birthday Bright Project Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This kit comes with 4 of each of the items shown above plus this amazing large gift box! You can see all the contents in my unboxing video here! Now I will show each individual piece!!!

Confetti Candle Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is my favorite of the 3 cards!!! I love that it is a shaker card and that beautiful confetti is amazing!!! This card was super simple, just make sure you stamp before you assemble. It is really hard to stamp on cardstock that is popped up with dimensionals! 🙂 I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the silver glimmer birthday greeting! I just love!!!

Pop Out Birthday Cake, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card  is so colorful and amazing! Believe it or not, I actually read and followed directions on this kit! The picture directions really help as I am more of a visual person! My tip for this one, don’t add adhesive all the way across the banner because you want it to float in the middle and not stick down! 🙂 Also, there are tons of enamel shapes so have fun with them and put them all over!!!

Wish Big, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This  was my least favorite of the 3 cards. I really struggled with all those little triangles. First you fold them over the string and it feels like there is a million and one of them! Then some of mine kept popping open! I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen and adhered them closed and adhered them to the card front. Then I placed the large clear block over them over night to get a strong hold. That worked perfectly!

Bow Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These are my favorite tags because those little bows are just so small and precious! They came already made too! Super simple tags to create!!!

Birthday Present Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love these little tags too! I love that they look like presents and the Baker’s Twine ties to the top bow! Adorable!

Birthday Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These were the most intricate of the tags! The hardest part for me was opening those honeycombs…..without smashing them! Oh how that was a task! 🙂 I love the details and layers and cute design!!!

I hope you enjoyed all of these projects from the Birthday Bright Project Kit! It is super fun and comes with so much product! I hope you get one and enjoy it as much as I did!

Vertical Garden Project Kit!!!

Posted on

Succulents, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Succulents are so in right now! Little potted plants and fairy gardens are in all the stores and are just so darn cute! I love them! My Mom has them all over the house and they are precious! We got to pick out a few for her to pot up for us for Christmas! Can’t wait to pick it up!!! Eeeee Love them!!! (now let’s just hope I can keep them alive) If you are like me and love them but can’t keep plants alive, this is perfect for you!!!! The Vertical Garden Project Kit comes with all of the supplies to make this succulent garden! No watering necessary! 🙂

Vertical Garden Project Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The kit comes with all of the flower die cut out for you. All you have to do is curl the petals with your Bone Folder for that nice rounded look and glue them together! I actually brushed my petals with a sponge dauber in the same color as the cardstock just for a little texture and color variation. I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the layers together. The Kit Instructions say to use the Multipurpose Glue but I tend to use too much of that stuff! I love that I didn’t need to get out the hot glue gun for this entire kit. Me and the hot glue gun don’t get along very well and it takes like a million hours to complete because of the pick up, set it down routine.

Succulent Garden, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I did use a Hot Glue Gun for the little roses. You will want to curl it around a pencil or your fingertip to get a base curl and then add the glue and press and hold. You actually want to put the glue on that “second to last” petal and then wrap the last petal up with the rest. Hopefully this photo helps!

Mini Rose Buds Tutorial, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Once you have all of your flowers done, you can hot glue them into the box. The box is super sturdy and not flimsy at all. I expected it to be a bit more flimsy but it doesn’t bend or curve at all. Be sure your spacing for your flowers fills box rather than placing them all in there and having leftover space (like me) or not having enough space for all of them! I just placed the greeting over the space that I had leftover. The ribbon that is included in the kit is super fun and frilly. It is easy to make a big floppy bow.

Welcome Garden, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The kit comes with 2 banners which is fabulous for making mistakes or changing up the greeting!! The coordinating stamp set for this kit is Vertical Garden which has the words Welcome and Hello! I decided not to purchase the stamp set and thought I could add a greeting that I already had. I used the Layered Letters Alphabet Stamp Set for the letters and the leaves from Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set. I added a score line about an inch from the edges and added hot glue on the back side of the score line. I adhered that score line to the edge of the box! I super love how this turned out and I can’t wait to hang it on my front door closer to Spring! I wish that was tomorrow but unfortunately here in the midwest we have an ice storm coming so we must wait longer.

If you would like to see the contents of this kit in action, check out the unboxing video below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe you are new!!

Pretty Pocket Sale-A-Bration Card Kit!!!

Posted on

Hello.Thank You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Pretty Pocket Card Kit is one of the Sale-A-Bration Promotion items that you can earn for FREE with every $50 order you place! That means that if you order $100, you can pick 2 items for FREE! This kit is adorable, simple, quick and doesn’t need any other supplies! Love it!!!

Pocket Card Project Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The kit comes with all of the supplies to make 8 pocket cards and the envelopes! There are 4 So Saffron pockets and 4 Pool Party pockets! The little inserts even have lines on them which making writing your message super simple! I’m horrible at writing downhill for sure!

Decoration Pocket Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are all of the stickers provided in the kit! You can see they say Thank You and Hello in different languages as well as the flowers at the top. I took this photo after making a few so that is why some are missing! 🙂 You can always use the extras in other languages for other projects!

Thank you Note Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is the final look of the pocket and the insert! I love how the Pool Party pocket has a So Saffron polka dot insert and vice versa! I love it. Also, the greeting has a border on the insert so you know exactly where to place the sticker. For the flower at the top, I suggest placing the insert into the pocket and then placing the flower down. This way you know that the flower will be peaking out of the top and placed high enough!

While some may think these are too simple, I think they are perfect to have on hand for a quick grab and go! Sometimes you just need something now and don’t have time for intricate ideas or pulling out all of your supplies! Don’t forget about the Occasions Mini Catalog which just started this week as well. When you have $50 or more in supplies to order, you can pick out any Sale-A-Bration item for free like this kit!!!

Forever Evergreen Project Kit!!!

Posted on

Forever Evergreen Supplies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

When I first looked at the Holiday Mini Catalog and saw the Forever Evergreen Project Kit, I was like I need those!!!! The trees look perfect for decoration on an end table or buffet for the holidays!!! I’m not exactly sure when I’m going to display mine but we shall see. There are so many goodies in the kit and all of the trees are die-cut and scored so that is super handy! You can see the full reveal of the kit and the goodies here!

leftover-garden-green, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m not going to lie, I think it took me almost an hour to pop out all of the die cut pieces….which some of the images should probably be stamped before popped out so it is easier to line them up. It wasn’t all that hard but I think it would have been easier! 🙂 Also, there is so much leftover cardstock around the trees. I just had to save it for future projects because look at all of that. Here is one card that I used a lot of it on!

Evergreen Trees, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are all three of the trees looking fabulous!!! My husband did the kit with me. He did all of the trees which was fairly simple since they are already scored. You will fold them in half and add adhesive, place the next one on top folded in half. You will keep stacking them up until they are all in place and then add adhesive and bring the top around to the bottom to create the full circle. I added a Mini Glue Dot to the top and bottom to secure them so that maybe at the end of the season I can pop it open and store them flat. We shall see if that works!

garland-tree, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This was the easiest tree because it is just ribbon and garland wrapped around it. This is the biggest tree and to be honest I think I would put the ornaments on the biggest tree because there are tons of those and you would be able to use more on the big tree. I wasn’t changing it after I had it all complete though. I also mistakenly added a small star to the big tree so I had to put the big star on one of the smaller trees!

Star Tree Topper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used a Hot Glue Gun for the start to secure the pieces together as well as to secure it to the top stick in the center of the tree.

pinecone-tree, www.laurasStampPad.com

This tree is probably my favorite. I hot glued all of the pieces together to each other and then to the tree. I placed the red berries and the laced pine cone piece down onto the Silicone Mat and then I added hot glue to the back of the stamped pine cone and pressed it over the 2. I added a little more hot glue to add the bow and let it all cool. Once it was cooled, I added some hot glue to the back and placed it on the tree. Stamping the garland was super easy and I glued each of them together by overlapping a half circle. I attached it to the back of the tree on top with a little adhesive and then wrapped it around and attached it to the bottom with a little adhesive. Love it!

ornament-tree, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is probably my least favorite tree. The hardest part of this entire kit was assembling those little red ball ornaments. I think I broke 3 of them. You peel off the two backs and bring them around to stick to each other but before be sure to place a loop of linen thread in the top. Sounds easy…..but remember these are little delicate balls of tissue type paper so you can squeeze them and when you press them together, don’t smash it. Oh my goodness, it stressed me out! This tree did turn out super cute. I did 9 of each of the ornaments on this tree and it wasn’t even half of all of them given in the kit. There are TONS!!!! If I am able to store them flat and enjoy this kit again next year, I can create all new ornaments! Look at all of the leftovers!

leftover-pieces-ornaments, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This baggie has all of the leftover pieces from the kit. There is tons of ribbon, ornaments, hooks and so much more! I love that Stampin’ Up always give you plenty of supplies!!! If you would like to order your Forever Evergreen Kit, click here! Don’t forget to get the coordinating Forever Evergreen Stamp Set! Let me know what you think of it if you get it or let me know what you think of mine in the comments below!!!

Seasonal Offer, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Check out this fabulous offer for the Holiday Season!!!

Tin of Tags Project Kit!!!

Posted on

30 Christmas Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Tin of Tags Project Kit caught my attention right away because of the adorable tin! I just had to have it….not sure what I’m going to do with it but…!!! It is super precious and comes with all of the supplies to make 30 tags (3 each of 10 designs).

Christmas Tags in a Tin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it fabulous??? Here is the tin with all of the tags inside so you can see it holds a lot!! Even if you didn’t care for the little tin (gasp, who wouldn’t?) you could use this tin of tags in your wrapping paper area/container/closet. It is hard and won’t damage the corners of your tags so it’s perfect to hold them!

Gift Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

To create the tags, you will need the Tin of Tags Stamp Set or your favorite greeting set. The kit also calls for the following ink colors – Island Indigo, Real Red, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. One of the other tips that is stated in the instructions (but let us be honest, who reads those?) is to stamp the “To: From:” images on the back of each of the tags. This is a big tip because of course it is handy to have that but also because you might want to stamp them all in the beginning so you don’t forget and then it is hard to stamp on a bumpy surface. I stamped all of the backs with Island Indigo Ink.

Gift Tags for Christmas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love these tags! I am really not a tag person but I think it is because the holidays can be so crazy and that is the last thing I want to try to come up to decorate. This is why you start early! 🙂 Also, it is super easy when it is all put together for you. I was super amazed at how fast and easy this kit was to create. The tags are super cute and I love how they don’t just say a simple greeting or just To/From. It is fun to have the greeting and then the names on the back. I love it!!! You could really use these tags all year long with different greetings. The tag bases are simple and watercolored so really just add Happy Birthday and the sequins and you have tags all year long!

If you would like to see all of the supplies in the kit, check out this unboxing and reveal of the Tin of Tags Kit below or click here! Don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new!

Do you like to get creative with gift packaging? Do you love the little red polka dot tin as much as me? Come on, leave me a comment below so I’m not alone! 🙂

Stitched With Cheer Project Kit!!!

Posted on

Stitched With Cheer Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The moment I saw the Stitched With Cheer Kit in the Holiday Mini Catalog I just knew I had to have it. I always love getting the kits to see what they are all about but this one had me really excited. I’m not the best as sewing as I tend to do it while watching TV and sometimes I miss a hole but it turned out amazing!!! I got this kit in my pre-order and did all of these cards while watching the Olympics last month!!! 🙂 The kit makes 18 cards – 6 each of the 3 designs.

Peace & Happiness, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my favorite!!! I love the snowflake and it was pretty easy!!! You will stitch the star with the gold baker’s twine and stamp the greeting from the coordinating Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set in Basic Black Ink. The kit even comes with backs so you can attach them to the inside of the card and no one sees your stitching. I love that and even stamped a little inside greeting on that panel. I added the loops of Gold Metallic Thread (provided in the kit) to the back of the greeting and placed it on the card!!! Just wrap the thread around your fingers and then slide them off, twist in the middle and place on the back of your greeting and secure with Stampin’ Dimensionals like the photo below!

Golden Loops, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Yes I probably use way to many dimensionals but I love them and I always know where I can find more! 😉

Holly Jolly, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is my second favorite but the trees don’t look as cute flat so I just hope the people I send this card to pop those trees out for the full beauty!!! 🙂 TIP: Be sure to fold your trees in half before stitching them to the card. I didn’t fold the first set and pulling them forward didn’t work as well. I love the little pearls that add some texture and shine to this stunning card. Again, I used the greeting from the Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set.

Stitched Back, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is what the inside of the card looks like after the stitching is done. I used a little bit of Tear Tape to secure the ends of the thread. The kit comes with inserts to add to the inside of the card so that you can cover up your stitching! I love that they thought of everything for you! I also stamped a little greeting on the insert for a little decoration on the inside!!

Merry & Bright, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay so you are all probably thinking I don’t like this one….that’s not completely true. I love the look. I love the stitched star and the holly…..but that greeting….oh my! Luckily they give you 8 banners to stamp in hopes to get 6 right. That was tough. I mean I consider myself a good stamper….until now! Lining it up was step 1 but then I kept getting ink on the banner ends that collected inside the banner so then I stamped lighter and it wasn’t stamped well. Oh I thought I was going to go insane. So I just have to say…..good luck! There is also a complete extra set of banners that you could always use instead too. See the “extras” photo at the bottom.

3 Stars, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are some variations of the card that I did to cover some boo boos. For the middle card, I accidentally adhered the burlap to the bottom of the card…it was upside down when I did it. (I was watching the Olympics, remember.) 🙂 So for that one, I added one of my messed up stamped greetings and added the holly over the mistake. See you would have never known if I didn’t tell you!

Leftover Pieces, www.LaurasStampPad.com

And then we have all the leftovers. There are tons of holly leaves left and an entire sheet of labels. I thought about stamping the labels as gift tags and added some holly. Super cute, right??? These are also the banners that you could substitute for the card above if you have issues matching up the greeting as well! 🙂 I love it!!! Now I have 16 cards done already and they are super cute and fun! I love the coordinating envelopes with liners too! They just make me so happy!

To see all of the goodies in the kit, check out my Reveal of the Stitched With Cheer Kit below or click here! Don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new!
