This card is perfect for anyone at anytime! Getting a card like this randomly would be fabulous! (Feel free to send one to me any time! 😉 hehe) I started with a card base of Whisper White and added a piece of Elegant Eggplant (4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″) that I ran through my Big Shot with the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder. I know I know it is actually retired now from the Holiday Mini Catalog but I couldn’t not share this fabulous card AND if you have it, here is another way to use it! Then I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and die cut it with the Label Collections Framelits and the Big Shot. I stamped the greeting from the One Tag Fits All Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog in Elegant Eggplant! To finish it off, I added Dazzling Details to the diamond for some bling!
Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! Today I am sharing the Butterfly Thinlits with you from the Occasions Mini Catalog! It is super fabulous and elegant! Also, butterflies make me think of Spring so I’m all about them right now! 🙂 How amazing are these cards?
My mom asked me for some elegant, simple cards that she could use for occasions such as Baptism, 1st Communion, Confirmation, and Weddings! This is what I came up with and she loved them!!!!
I started with a Very Vanilla card base. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla (4″ x 5-1/4″) and using my Oval Framelit I cut an oval out of the center. The size I used was the 4th one (middle one)! After cutting out the oval, I placed the piece of cardstock into the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and ran that through the Big Shot. I adhered this piece to my card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. You know how I love those things and I really liked how it can dimension to the card. NOTE: I placed the embossed paper onto my card front with the embossed image down, so it doesn’t pop up on my card but is smooth. I just thought this made it smooth and elegant! Then I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with my Butterfly Thinlits from the Occasions Mini Catalog! LOVE these! The best way to do it to layer your Clear Cutting Pad, Dryer Sheet, Cardstock, Wax Paper, Thinlit, and Clear Cutting Pad. The Dryer Sheet and Wax Paper make it super easy to pop it out of the die and so you don’t spend hours popping out each of those butterfly details!!! I adhered the Butterfly with Mini Glue Dots and stamped the greeting in Chocolate Chip from the Crazy About You Stamp Set which is also in the Occasions Mini Catalog! Perfect! I added some Pearls to one of them! Also, I created this one as well with the Bird Builder Punch!
Of course when I showed these to my Mom she loved them and wanted lots of them to have on hand! 🙂
Here is a Video Tutorial shows you how to make this card and showing you how to die cut using your Thinlits! I hope you enjoy it and if so be sure to give it a Thumbs Up!
Valentine’s Day is this Saturday!!!! This is a fabulous card to give to someone you love!!! I started with a Basic Black card base and added a piece of Real Red to the front measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″! Before adhering it though, I took a strip of Whisper White Satin Ribbon and looped a knot through it and then adhered the ends to the back of the Real Red! It is different than a bow or knot and super fun! Then I cut out a Whisper White piece of cardstock with my Deco Label Framelits and Big Shot! Using my Basic Black ink pad, I stamped the greeting from the One Tag Fits All Stamp Set which is in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I added a few Red Glimmer hearts that were punched out with my Itty Bitty Punch Pack! I love those little punches! Since black is so dark, I added a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) to the inside and then added a few hearts in there as well! LOVE IT!
You can see other cards created with this stamp set here and here and a Video Tutorial here! Do you have your Valentine’s done and ready? Leave me a comment down below with the Stamp Set you used!
Still need a Valentine’s Day card? This one is quick and simple! You can create it with a piece of Whisper White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) or you can use a Note Card & Envelope! Then using my Work of Art Stamp Set, I stamped the long image in Real Red and the heart in Basic Black! You could always mix it up and use Pinks & Reds and really any color scheme! I added the little greeting at the bottom from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and cut it out with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits (Bundle & Save!) Then I layered it onto a piece of Basic Black punched out with the Modern Label Punch! You could always use the Happy Valentine’s Day from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set or any other greeting you like! I love how quick and simple this card is and it is also very gender neutral!
Tis the season of seeing hearts and love EVERYWHERE!!!! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner so lets get started on card making and treat packaging!!! You can check out this post to see some adorable treats!!!
This card is fairly simple! I started off with a Pink Pirouette card base (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″). I would use those dimensions for your card base so that you can adhere your Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper on the bottom and tie the Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine all the way around the card. (Note: I used a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece and the tied my twine around the Designer Series Paper and I found it really bumped and pulled on that little piece of paper.) So once you have your paper and twine on the bottom, you can start working on your hearts. I used the Hearts Collection Framelits (4th Up for the Smallest) for the Whisper White heart. Then I stamped the greetings from the Hello Life Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog in Real Red Ink! Then using the Hearts Collection Framelits (2nd Up from the Smallest) again, I cut out the Black/Heart from a piece of the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper!!!! I love this paper because it is lovey with shades of pink on one side and Black and White on the other!!!!!! LOVE!!!! Okay back to the card, I attached the black heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little texture and dimension. The little red heart is stamped from the Hello Life Stamp Set!!!! Cute & Simple! I hope you are enjoying my Valentine’s Day samples! Let me know your favorite – This One? This One? or This One?
My Mom’s Birthday was last week and this was the card that I created for her! It’s adorable, funny, and perfect for her! The first time I saw the Stamp Set – From the Herd which is in the Occasions Mini Catalog I loved it! It is just so funny and cute! I grew up on a farm and while we only had cow, chickens, and sheep I still love it! For this card to my Mom, I only wanted two animals to represent my husband and I (I’ll let you decided who is who 😉 )! Using my Basic Black Marker, I colored the goat and the bird and then stamped it on my piece of Whisper White cardstock. I’m not going to lie, I had to go over a few lines with the marker again because they didn’t come out clean and I wanted a bold line! Then I colored them in using my markers – Bermuda Bay, Basic Gray, and Smoky Slate. Adorable! Then I cut it out with the Deco Label Framelits! I wanted a nice layer so I cut a piece of Basic Gray out with the next Framelit up! For some texture, I ran the gray piece through the Big Shot with my Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I added this to my card base which was Wild Wasbi and added some Linen Thread. For the greeting, I stamped Happy Birthday on the front and then using the other greetings I stamped From the Party Animals on the inside! This stamp set also had a party hat, balloon, and noise maker so I decorated the envelope with some balloons on the front and party hats along the tab of the envelope in the back! It was just fabulous! I loved making a special card for someone who is so very special to me! 🙂
While I am not a huge fan of real chalkboards……chalk gives me the chills just to touch it or think about it, let along writing with it on a chalkboard….I so love this look! I know you are probably thinking but Laura doesn’t like rustic or dirty. It’s true, I’m more of a clean, bold stamper but I do love this chalkboard look! It mostly reminds me of a bakery like Panera (YUM!) or a little bistro restaurant and I love that! Stampin’ Up! has made getting this look easy and fun with no chills crawling up your spine!
How fabulous is this card? I love the polka dots and ribbon and chalkboard and ALL OF IT! I started off with a Whisper White card base. Then I took a piece of Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″) and wrapped some Calypso Coral Seam Binding around it and tied a knot. Now you can adhere that to your card front. For the greeting, I used some of the NEW Chalkboard Paper in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I found that this image is small enough that you can stamp first or after cutting it out. I stamped the greeting from the Big Day Stamp Set which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items you can earn for FREE! I stamped it with the Aquamarine Colorbox Chalk Ink Pad and then cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits and my Big Shot. Then I used my Chalk Marker to create the border!!! Love it!!! NOTE: The Aquamarine color comes out really light but it slowly gets darker as it dries and it is just a light look. Also, a few tips for using the Colorbox Chalkboard Ink:
~Be sure to stamp straight down and right up again because it could slide and smear if you wiggle it.
~Be sure you are stamping on the slick/sort of rubbery/textured (not sure how to describe it) side of the Chalkboard Paper. The back side feels and looks like regular paper.
~Be sure to allow it to dry for a bit as it takes longer than traditional ink. If you would like to speed up the process, you can set the ink with your Heat Tool.
~For a more bold look, you can stamp the greeting once and then using your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp again right on top.
I hope you try out this new Chalkboard Paper and Ink! It is super fun! Don’t forget that every $50.00 (US) order placed between now and March 31st earns you a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!
Happy Tuesday!!!! That means that I have a fabulous technique to share with you and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! Lots of bling and you can pick whatever color you want!!!!
I love love love Silver and BLING….add in a pop of color and it screams my name!!!!
Start off with a card base of 4-1/4″ x 11″ in Whisper White and adhere a piece of Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum on top measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Vellum can be tricky to adhere because you can see where the adhesive is since it is partially clear. With this card, you don’t have to worry about your adhesive because it is covered by the Whisper White decorative piece. Then using a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3-1/2 x 4-3/4″, you will place the third largest star from the Star Framelits on the bottom half and run it through your Big Shot! Now using your Sponge Daubers, brush the edges of the white rectangle and the punched out star! You can use the star on the inside of your card or for a completely different project! Stamp your greeting to the top of the white rectangle and then add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the corners of your white rectangle. You can add maybe 1 or 2 in the middle if you like them a lot like me! Place that on your card front. Now using the 2nd smallest Star Framelit, cut out a star in Silver Glimmer Paper! You will adhere this star in the center of your cut out star on your card front. Adhere with Snail Adhesive! You can place your cut out white star on the inside of your card! For the card above, I used Blackberry Bliss and the Endless Wishes Stamp Set!
For this card, I used Real Red and the Endless Wishes Stamp Set. I added the star to the inside on the top for some extra flare!
I would like to thank Dawn Griffith for this great idea. She did her’s in all Silver which I loved but I added my flare with the color!!!! Let me know in the comments below which color your favorite was or which color you would like to use for a POP of color!
This Christmas Bauble Stamp is so simple and yet so much fun! It is a single stamp and really that is all you need! How fabulous is this card? I stamped the bauble on Whisper White cardstock in VersaMark and then poured Silver Embossing Powder over it. Heated it with my heat tool and then let the magic begin! I played with my Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities a little and then was sad that I didn’t have the Old Olive set as well. No worries, I got out my markers. I will saw that the Blendabilities were more fun and you can’t see the stroke lines like you can with markers! Either way though, this card is fabulous! After coloring it, I cut it out with my Labels Collection Framelits and my Big Shot, added some Stampin’ Dimensionals and popped it on my card! My card base is Crumb Cake and the center strip is Cherry Cobbler ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder!
Here is another one using my Lost Lagoon Marker and I left out the Cherry Cobbler strip. I just played around with it to see what I liked the best. I prefer the top one! What about you?
Happy Tuesday!! You all know what that means….I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! You have seen over the past few weeks lots of samples using the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and coordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits! Well I have another out of the box way to use this amazing pair!
How adorable is this? It would be fabulous at your dinner table, on your mantel, on an end table and so many other places! You could use the Fall colors and use this at your Thanksgiving Dinner too!Now lets get started on how to make this!
You will want to stamp three of the wreaths onto Whisper White cardstock and cut them out. Here is a video tutorial on how to stamp and cut! Now it is time to assemble. I started with a Scallop Circle punched piece of Garden Green as my base; you could always use any circle or scallop circle you wish! Add some Snail Adhesive around the edges of the scallop circle and place your first wreath down! Add some adhesive around the inner circle of the wreath. Take your second wreath and cut it apart on one side and overlap the wreath about 1/4″ to 1/2″ and press it into your adhesive. Now you will repeat with your last wreath but overlap it just a little bit more so that you have that gradual tapering affect. You could always use a Hot Glue Gun for this project as well. Now for your candle, measure your candle so you know how much Red Glimmer Paper you will need (all candles vary). I used Sticky Strip to adhere the Red Glimmer Paper to my candle. Now you can add a bow to your candle to help cover the crease of the glimmer paper and for some added flare. I used Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and attached it with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Be sure not to adhere your candle to your wreath because the on/off switch for the candle is on the bottom! (Thought I would mention that since I almost did that. 🙂
