This is just a fabulous card to top off any wedding gift or even for an Anniversary! I just love the greeting and I love the amazing elegant look – very Tiffany’s look! Oh how I am loving that look lately with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and even the brighter Bermuda Bay. This amazing greeting is in the Big News Stamp Set which I LOVE! You can see more samples here, here and here! It just the perfect greetings and images! I stamped that in Pool Party and then brushed the edges with my Sponge Daubers and attached that to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (love)! I used my Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder to get that gorgeous background and added some Whisper White Organza Ribbon to top it off! The one ribbon end fell just so perfectly so I “made” the other end do the same with a little adhesive help! 🙂 Can’t wait to use this card for a newlywed couple or a couple who has been married for many many years!
Leave me a comment down below of ways you have used your Big News Stamp Set!
Happy Tuesday and Happy Big Shot Week here on my blog! Click here to see yesterday’s post! Today I’m going to show you an amazing technique with your Big Shot and Embossing Folders! Don’t forget about the amazing Big Shot Promotion Stampin’ Up! has going on this month! Today we are going to talk about using your Embossing Folders with your Big Shot! I love embossing my projects because I really think it takes a simple card to a WOW card with just the crank of the Big Shot!
Okay first off check out this amazing card! LOVE IT! It is soooo simple too! I just used a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the amazing flower with my Work of Art Stamp Set! I used Blackberry Bliss & Mossy Meadow Ink (for the various shades of purple I stamped a few times before going back to the ink pad)! Then I placed the card front into the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and ran it through my Big Shot! How amazing?!?! I love it! No adhesive required! 🙂
Now this one was done a little differently! I used the NEW Lucky Stars Embossing Folder which is coming out in the Holiday Mini Catalog on August 28th! I opened up the embossing folder and on the side where the stars pop up I lightly tapped my ink pad over top! You don’t want to press too hard or the ink will go down into the flat area of the embossing folder. Now you will place your piece of cardstock into the non-inked side and close the folder. You can either close the folder and just press and viola you are done or you can close it and run it through the Big Shot for a colored and textured look! I then assembled this piece onto Daffodil Delight Cardstock and Night of Navy card base! I used my Night of Navy Marker to color the Whisper White Organza Ribbon to match! Check out this post for more on that! The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set which I punched out with my Decorative Label Punch and added a few punched stars from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack! Check out the video tutorial below to see this in action!!! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you like this video and want to see more! Summer time is definitely wedding season! We had one in June, another in July and we have one in August!!!! I love love love weddings though so I’m okay with that. AND then I get to use the fabulous Big New Stamp Set for my wedding cards!!!! I am really loving this set because of the giant greetings and I love the sayings!!!
How cute is this? I used Pacific Point and Soft Sky for the colors! These colors matched my wrapping paper ;)! You could always match it to the wedding or just use whatever paper is your favorite color that day!
I embossed the background with my Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder which I love because it has this elegant pattern to it! Then I stamped my greeting and added a little heart from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack on the front and inside!!! This is a MUST for your next order if you don’t have it! A little heart, star, and flower…..they are just perfect for a little something added to your project! Perfect size and perfect images! Love them!!!! I will be making lots of these for all of my upcoming weddings! Stay tuned!
Okay please tell me you have the Itty Bitty Punch Pack because if not, you need it….like yesterday…NOW!!!! I just can not put these 3 little punches down. Every time I go to make a card, I’m like it needs just a little something more. Hmmm….a heart (star or flower) and then it looks perfect!!!! Click here to get your’s NOW! Then you can make this amazing card!
Aren’t these little hearts adorable? I punched them out with the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. The solid Hello Honey one on the bottom left is actually punched on the Whisper White Cardstock and so the yellow is popping through. Isn’t that clever? I know. 😉 The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set! I just thought this card needed a little greeting like that. The card base is Blackberry Bliss and the center band is Lost Lagoon embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder! This card would make a great Anniversary Card, Valentine’s Day Card and even a random card sent to someone you love. I send cards to my husband’s grandma on his mom’s side and grandparents on his dad’s side randomly just to brighten their day and let them know how we are doing and that we love and think about them (my grandparents are angels watching over us and I don’t have their address)! I hope you enjoyed this card and try it out! If you need more reasons to get the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, check out this sample and this sample! Click here to get your’s today!
Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means…..I have an amazing technique to share with you!!! This was blows my mind because you start out with just three colors but it creates so many more! Seeing the Northern Lights is on my Bucket List too! Until then, I shall just make the Northern Lights in my craft room!
You will need a piece of Whisper White cardstock and the size will depend on the size of Framelit you would like to use. I used a piece that is 5-1/2″ x 4-1/2.” Starting with the Daffodil Delight and your sponge dauber, you will make do up and down making a stripe. Then move over about a 1/2″ and make another one, continuing across the cardstock. Next you will do the same with your Rich Razzleberry and then Tempting Turquoise. Be sure to overlap the colors a bit because that is how your will get a little orange and green in there too! Don’t worry if it looks super bright and colorful at this time! That is the way it should look! Using one of the trees from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set, stamp it in the center with Stazon! Now you can pick the size of Framelit that you wish to use and cut it out with your Big Shot! After you have cut it out, you will take the Night of Navy Ink Pad and Sponge Dauber and fill in the bottom portion using the stamped “ground” as your guide. Also, I brushed the edges of the entire image as well. You can go over the entire image very lightly with the Night of Navy as well for a more subtle look. Then using your Chalk Marker or Signo White Gel Pen, makes dots all over your card for a starry look! Now you are all done and you can add it to your card. I layered mine onto a piece of Basic Gray that was ran through my Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and then only a piece of Night of Navy. I added a little Silver 1/8″ Ribbon too! In case some of the instruction listed above were a little confusing, here is a Video Tutorial for you to see this card in action!
I hope you enjoyed this technique and try it out! I want to thank Kay Kalthoff for this fabulous idea! Also, be sure to leave a comment down below and let me know what you think!
Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means – I have a fabulous technique to share with you!!! This week I am showing you how to make a fabulous Shaker Card with Emboss!
How cute is that? I’m loving the bling (even though honestly, I’m more of a silver girl)!
Supplies Needed: Washi Tape, Cardstock, Window Sheet, Shaker items like glitter, punched circles or flower, etc, or sequins
You will need to cut your cardstock and Window Sheet to be the same size! This card is a 3″ Square! Then you will lay your 2 squares together and add Washi Tape (Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape) along the edges half way so that the other half can fold over to the back (holding your 2 pieces together). Trim off an access on the corner. Before putting Washi Tape on the 4th side, be sure to add in your shaker items. For this card, I placed Washi Tape on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and then punched out 1/2″ Circles. You can use anything as your shaker items – punched circles, hearts, flowers, glitter, sequins, etc. After your shaker items are in there, you will seal up the final side with Washi Tape. Then you can put it on your card and decorate as you wish! As for the greeting, you can either stamp on your cardstock that is layered behind the Window Sheet or you can use Stazon and stamp on the window sheet or you can emboss a greeting onto the window sheet! I took the easy, quick drying route and stamped on my cardstock! 🙂
Once you have created your shaker piece, you can put it on your decorated card! For the one pictured above, I used Coastal Cabana and Whisper White Cardstock. I embossed the Whisper White with my Stripes Embossing Folder and added little banner tags! The banner tags were created with the Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and Sequin trim! The stamp set I used for my greeting was Delightful Dozens (this one is retiring so get it before it is gone)! To watch a video tutorial on this technique, click here!
I, also, wanted to give a shout out and THANK YOU to everyone to participated in my Anniversary Special!!! Your goodies are on their way!!!!
I know Easter is still a few weeks away but now is the time to start making your cards and gift projects! Here is a quick and simple Easter Card but you could always change out the greeting and this card would be perfect for any occasion! I used the Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper which has perfect Spring colors! I love it! Then I stamped a flower from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and punched it out with the coordinating Blossom Punch! I stamped one flower in Wisteria Wonder and then another one in Pear Pizzazz. After punching them out, I cut off two petals from the Pear Pizzazz flower and attached it to the back of the Wisteria Wonder flower to make it look like leaves! I added a little Candy Dot in the middle of the flower for a little POP! Also, have you noticed the shiny foil in the background? That’s right, I embossed some of the Silver Foil with the Argyle Embossing Folder! It gives a little shine, texture, and dimension. Perfect!!! For more samples with Foil, click here and here! I hope this gives your some inspiration for your Spring or Easter projects!
Happy Tuesday and April Fools Day!!! That means that I have a fabulous Technique to share with you today and it is no fool!! We will be heat embossing onto Silver Foil!!! It is a super cool WOW look for your projects!
First you will cut your Foil Sheets into you desired size and then stamp your image with VersaMark onto the Foil. VersaMark is a clear super sticky “ink” (it’s not really an ink) that is used for heat embossing because when you pour your powder of choice over top it will stick. It is clear so that you can use Clear Embossing Powder or colored embossing powder. NOTE: Be careful when stamping onto Foil, it will slide! Once you have stamped your image, you will pour the powder of your choice over it. I used White Embossing Powder. Then you will melt the powder with your Heat Tool. TIP: Start in the corner and as you see it start to melt, move the tool along. Don’t swing the heat tool around like you are painting a wall. Also, you will need something to hold your foil down (besides your finger) because it will get HOT! Once it is done, let it sit for a minute or less to cool and set. Then you can add it to your project. The foil may curl a bit but as it cools it will flatten out. I used the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set for my flowers and Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper on this sample. The fabulous scallop look on the edge of my design was created with the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders! Super cute way to use this little border and I think that maybe have been the first time I have used that scallop in MONTHS! I hope you enjoyed this technique and try it out on your next project!!! Leave a comment below on which stamp set you think would look fabulous embossed on foil! And for more ways to use your foil, check out this post and this post!!!
The color combination for this card is not your typical combination but it goes soooo well together! Do you ever sit down and see colors together and think “WOW those go so well together?” No, just me? Okay! Well this fabulous color combination is Crushed Curry, Wisteria Wonder, Coastal Cabana, and Basic Gray! I used my Mixed Bunch Stamp Set to randomly (make a squiggle line since I can’t do random) stamp my flowers in all of the colors. Then I took the coordinating Blossom Punch to punch out a Silver Foil Flower! Then I ran the flower through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items that you can earn for FREE before March 21st! Of course I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere that to my card. You always have to have a little POP and I love how dimensionals make that happen! For the little embellishment, I used my Coastal Cabana marker to color Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon! How cool is that? You can create any color you need for a project this way! Love it! Then I tied it through a Vintage Faceted Designer Button. Now I know this makes it un-mail-able (is that a word? 😉 ) but it is super cute and this one I can hand deliver to my Mom on Mother’s Day! When we created this card in Stamp Class, many of the attendees used Antique Brads, Candy Dots, or punch cardstock in place of the Faceted Designer Button. So many possibilities!!! I hope you enjoyed this and you can check out more samples using Silver Foil here and here!
This Band-Aid Card is sure to cheer up anyone with a boo boo! Isn’t is just the cutest card ever??? It was super fun to make as well. I used my Embossing Folders and Punches! These two things are some of the greatest tools ever because there are so many ways to use them and you can get a completely different look! I used Baked Brown Sugar and Crumb Cake for my Band-Aids and I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch. Then I ran it through the Big Shot – Baked Brown Sugar embossed with the Adorning Accents Folder with the hearts one and the Crumb Cake was done with the Perfect Polka Dots (the dots are “bump” against the card rather than out). These look super cute and just like a Band-Aid, don’t you think? For the middle of the band-aid, I used my Curly Label Punch! The stamped hearts came from the Hearts A Flutter Stamp Set! You may look at this set and think it can only be used for Valentine’s Day – I love finding out ways to use stamp sets!!! Let me know what you think in the comments below! Also, let me know what stamp sets you have found other ways to use them with! I would love to hear the ideas!
