Holiday Mini Catalog Designer Series Paper Reveals!!!

Posted on

Hello, stampers!!! Today is the start of my Holiday Mini Catalog Designer Series Paper Reveals!!! I will be posting videos showing off the different paper packs from the Holiday Mini Catalog on my YouTube Channel. This is a great way for me to show off the full piece of paper so you can see just how fabulous each of these sheets are. The little swatch in the catalog sometimes just doesn’t show it all!

Holiday Mini Catalog Designer Series Paper Reveals, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m starting off the series with this Halloween themed paper. Some of you may know, I’m not a big Halloween fan. I know….gasp! It seems you are either a HUGE fan or you aren’t a fan at all. I’m the second one. Since I am not a big fan but still like to make treats for my nieces and nephews, I got just this pack of Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper and then I’ll use some greetings from a set that I have like Itty Bitty Greetings or a Paper Pumpkin Set.

I really like this paper because there are only a few sheets that are super Halloween-y. The frogs I think would make a super cute kid card. Pumpkins are great for Fall cards. Those stars on the far left look very fun for a wizard or starry night card. Polka dots and stripes are perfect for any occasion. When the paper is super versatile like this, I am more drawn to buying it because then I know I can use it for multiple card styles.

The Holiday Mini Catalog is available to order from starting on September 5th so get those wish lists started! Also, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel as I will be posting more of the Designer Series Paper Packs on there over the next week or so.

If you would like to see the full sheets of this fabulous paper, check out the video below or click here! I hope you found this super useful. Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. If you would like a notification when I post a new video, be sure to click the bell right next to the subscribe!!!

It’s My Birthday Today!!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!! It’s My Birthday Today!!! I love to celebrate all month long but today is officially the day!

It's My Birthday Today, www.LaurasStampPad.com

On my birthday, I like to share a little bit about me. Whether you have been following me for a few years now or this is the first post you are reading, thank you for following along and I hope you enjoy learning more about the person here at Laura’s Stamp Pad. You can check out some of my past birthday posts here and here! Enjoy a little bit more about me:

A lot happened in my 32nd year of life!!! It was just a little over a week after my 32nd birthday that we found out we were pregnant. As my belly grew, my love for the color pink never changed…..as is obvious in the photos above. I think I will always love the color pink!

Also, I love taking pictures and having my picture taken. Unfortunately, those two things don’t always go together. I tend to be behind the camera most of the time so there are more pictures of everyone else and not as many of me. This is probably why I wanted to take weekly bump photos and made my husband do them every Monday.

I am a bit of a freak and overthink everything which made me scared to death of pregnancy through most of my 20’s but I always wanted a baby of my own. I babysat since the moment I could stay home alone. In college, I went on a trip with a big family as the nanny. There are 8 nieces and nephews in my family and I couldn’t wait to have a child call me Mommy rather than always Auntie. I do take my duties as an Auntie very seriously though….love them all so much! My pregnancy went very smooth and was great….nothing to worry about! Another thing about me…..I have no patience usually! This made waiting 41 weeks and 3 days really hard!! But that’s not all, even after my water broke, I had to wait another 33 hours of laboring before Baby Girl arrived. 🙂

Being a Mom is hard but so amazing! I love it so much! It has made a big change in my daily life with trying to nurse, snuggle, stare at that adorable smile, and get all of my work done for my stamping business. I’m still working on getting it all done and find a nice routine!

Last year was amazing and life changing….here’s to a wonderful 33rd year!!!

BIRTHDAY SPECIAL: All orders placed today will earn a FREE GIFT from me as well as DOUBLE Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers!!! I have lots of goodies like ribbon, clear blocks, embossing powder, stamps, and more. I will randomly select a gift and send it out to everyone who orders today! Click here to start shopping!

September Hostess Promotion!!!

Posted on

Today, I wanted to share with you this fabulous promotion that Stampin’ Up is offering in September because I wanted to give you time to get excited and prepare for it!!! The September Hostess Promotion is a FREE pack of Designer Series Paper for a $250 party. This can be 1 order or a few orders with friends! Either way once the total is $250, the paper is yours!!!

September Hostess Promotion, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I like this pack of Dashing Along Designer Paper because it’s only Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. That makes coordination and supplies easy to pick out and use. Also, I think the patterns are great for Christmas but also other occasions. There are 4 sheets each of the 3 double sided designs which is great for making multiples cards of the same design.

The first piece on the left is very elegant and perfect for Anniversary or Weddings cards. The diagonal stripes in the middle would be great for man cards. The stars on the far right are perfect for birthdays!

My dates in September are filling fast. I only have week days available but I can also do catalog parties or online parties. Let me know if you are interested in having a party so you can earn this fabulous paper! You can also earn it with a single order of $250 as well. With the Holiday Mini Catalog coming out in September as well, that won’t be hard to do! 🙂 You will also be earning my Free Stamp Set of the Month with that $250 order AND Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers.

If you would like to see the full sheets of this fabulous paper, check out the video below or click here! I hope you found this super useful. Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Blissful Blooms!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! Starting off the week simple with the August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Blissful Blooms. I can honestly say I finished this kit in 30 minutes.  It was super simple and I LOVE IT! It’s got flowers on it after all! Click here to get signed up for September!

August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Blissful Blooms

This is just half of the kit. There are a total of 10 cards. Five of them have a large floral piece with a smaller greeting and the other five have a floral with an open center for a bigger greeting. Also, check out those gorgeous silver trim envelopes with the speckled inside. LOVE IT!!!

You make me so happy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is the other set of five cards and these envelopes have pink speckles. The greetings in the stamp set are just amazing too! Check out the greeting I put on the inside in the photo below!

Love Left Behind, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The kit was made for me with this greeting. I just feel like it says so much when you don’t know what else to say. I love it!

Vellum Florals, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So for this card, I added adhesive to the back of the greeting, placed the vellum pieces down and then added the twine. I secured the twine with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the top. The twine starts on one end and goes to the other end in a loop, back to the other side to loop and then the end on the other side. I hope that makes sense. There is a loop and an end on each side. I will say that you need to be careful how far out your vellum and ribbon goes so it doesn’t hang off the card.

August Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I created loops in the twine and secured it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Simple and fabulous to create 10 cards so quickly! I love it!

If you love Halloween, you need to sign up for the September Kit!! Click here to get signed up for September! It’s going to be Spooky!

Alaskan Love!!!

Posted on

Happy Friday!!! Are you ready for a fabulous weekend?? I sure am! We have no plans so lots of relaxing, baby snuggles, and maybe check out this festival in the next town over. Today, I’m sharing some Alaskan Love!!!

Alaskan Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

We were not able to go on the Stampin’ Up Alaskan Cruise because little Claire was too young. PS: In case you didn’t know, infants under 6 months (and some cruises it’s a year) can’t go along. We were super bumped to put it lightly as this was a trip we were so excited to go on. Stampin’ Up was amazing and I was able to get the pillow gifts from each night on the cruise even though we couldn’t go. Let me just say WOW and how loved I feel from such an amazing company. I’m so excited to wear, use, and show off all of my goodies. There was a lot of Holiday Mini Catalog product in there as well which I will be using in upcoming classes and events!

Also, wasn’t my husband the sweetest to take these photos of me. He actually asked if I would wait to open the box till he got home so he could take them. I’m wondering if it was that or if he was just as excited to see everything?!?!

That’s all I have for this fabulous Friday! Don’t forget about the $5 Bonus Bucks, Color Your Season Bundle, and as always Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers. Have an amazing weekend! I’ll see you back here on Monday! Happy Stampin’

You Are My Sunshine!!!

Posted on

You Are My Sunshine, My Only Sunshine! Are you singing it too or is that just me? This greeting is perfect for this beautiful butterfly card! It is so bright and cheerful!

You Are My Sunshine, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Blue and yellow go so well together, don’t you think?? I love these colors – Pacific Point and Pineapple Punch!!!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I took a piece of Pacific  Point (4″ x 5-1/4″) and embossed the butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Framelits. This is a framelit that I used to emboss with the Embossing Mat. Check out this post and this post on how to emboss with framelits. Also, I die cut a full butterfly in Pineapple Punch. Don’t layer this onto your card front just yet because we need to do that greeting and wrap the ribbon around to the back.

Layered Punches, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for the greeting, I used a few different punches. First, I punched out a white label with the Pretty Label Punch. Next, I punched out a 1-1/2″ Circle Punch in Pacific Point. Then I stamped the greeting from the Stitched All Around Stamp Set in Pineapple Punch and punched it out with the 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. For the layering, I added them all together with regular Snail Adhesive. For those little ribbon slider holes, I used the Detailed Trio Punch. In order to line it up in the correct spot, I punched out a scrap one, placed it in the desired spot and pressed with my scissors to make a mark. Then I slid it into the Detailed Trio Punch and punched the hole. I did that on both sides and slid the ribbon through securing it on the back with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I added this to the bottom of the embossed Pacific Point piece. Wrap the ends of the ribbon to the back and add this piece to the card front!

Impressed Butterfly, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now it is time to finish off with that die cut butterfly. I suggest putting this on last so that you don’t put it too low and in the way of your greeting. Using Mini Glue Dots, I adhered it and then added a few Rhinestones down the center for some bling! I love it! This is a great card to have on hand to brighten someone’s day.

Embossing With Framelits!!!

Posted on

Yesterday, I shared some embossing with framelits as well as a card using the label from the Stitched Seasons Framelits. Check that out here! Today, I’m sharing another card embossed with framelits and I’m using the outline/negative of the label I die cut.Embossing with Framelits, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I took a piece of Coastal Cabana measuring 4″ x  5-1/4″ and embossed the floral image from the Stitched Seasons Framelits. I added it to the top and bottom for a nice border around the greeting!

Framelit Embossing Tutorial, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the layers for embossing with a framelit: Big Shot Platform (no tabs), White Impressions Pad, Blue Silicone Mat, Cardstock, Die with the blade facing the cardstock, and then a clear Big Shot Cutting Pad. Simple and yet such a fabulous look!

I added this to the card front and tied some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon along the spine of the card. For the greeting, I used the outline/negative image from the label I cut out for this card. Simply place the outline in the middle where you would like it to be, stamp the greeting in the center and then adhere the outline with Stampin’ Dimensionals. If you add the outline with the dimensionals first, the stamped image won’t be as easy to place without making a mess. The greeting I used is from the Stitched All Around Stamp Set and I used Coastal Cabana Ink. I finished off the card with some Rhinestones for bling! I’m really loving Rhinestones in all of my cards lately.

Do you find that you really love a product and grab for every time you are crafting but yet it changes all the time too? I use to using embossing folders on every card and then I just quit. Now I’m back to it and loving it. I use to use Pearls and Rhinestones on every card and then I started using other embellishments….now I’m back to using them! I find that super interesting. Let me know yours in the comments below!!!

Also, if you would like to see a video tutorial on this, check that out here! If you would like to purchase any supplies used, click the links below! The Stitched Seasons Framelits are only available this month while supplies last so don’t delay!

Technique Tuesday – Creating 2 Cards with 1 Die!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know that means I have a fabulous technique to share!!! Creating 2 Cards with 1 Die is the technique!!!! Today, I’m sharing one of the cards but be sure to come back tomorrow to see the other one!!! I love this because we all know time is precious so getting 2 pieces with one crank through the Big Shot is fabulous!!!

Creating 2 Cards with 1 Die, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super simple to create but has that amazing WOW factor with the embossed floral image. I used the Springtime Impressions Dies for that image. Yes, I used a framelit to emboss! How cool is that???? With the Big Shot Embossing Mats, you can now get more use out of your framelits because now you can emboss with them as well. WOWZA!!!! Then, there is also the creating 2 cards with 1 die part for this card. I love it!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I layered on a piece of Highland Heather measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then, I took a piece of Gorgeous Grape and ran it through the Big Shot with the Embossing Mat and the Springtime Impressions Die.

Embossing with Dies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the layers for embossing with a framelit: Big Shot Platform (no tabs), White Impressions Pad, Blue Silicone Mat, Cardstock, Die with the blade facing the cardstock, and then a clear Big Shot Cutting Pad. I have found that using a newer pad works best because it doesn’t have the cutting groves in it and it isn’t curled. It’s always good to have a nice flat one available for embossing!!!

Now I have that fabulous focal point to adhere to the front of my card! Next, I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Stitched Seasons Framelits. I used the label for this card and saved the negative (outside piece) for the card I’m showing off tomorrow! Two fabulous card pieces with just 1 crank through the Big Shot and 1 die. The Stitched Seasons Framelits are super fabulous for that reason! Remember you can only get them this month! Click the photo below to order yours today!

Kindness Changes Everything, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Using the greeting from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set (coordinates and Bundle & Save 10% with the Springtime Impressions Framelits), I stamped it in Gorgeous Grape! I added the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished off the card with Rhinestones. Simple and yet fabulous with that beautiful floral embossing. I love it!!!

To purchase any of the items used, click the photos below! Don’t forget the Stitched Seasons Framelits are available this month only!

Check out the Video Tutorial for creating 2 cards with 1 die below or click here to see this all in action! I hope you found this super useful. Vacation Stamping School 2018!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday everyone!!! I hope you had an amazing weekend!!! Mine was full and fabulous! I attended Vacation Stamping School 2018 Friday evening and Saturday morning. This is a gathering of demonstrators in our group for all kinds of stamping fun. There were around 100 in attendance and so much excitement!!!

Vacation Stamping School 2018, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There were so many amazing samples, demonstrations, and ideas all over the room. The talent some of these ladies have is just incredible. It still boggles my mind that simple stamps, ink, and paper can be so much more!!! There is still so much to learn and I love it! I can’t wait to share all these ideas with all of you too!

Of course my favorite part of the whole event was the people. Seeing Shannon West was like Ahhhhhhhh! She is so fabulous! I remember meeting her and getting a photo with her back in January 2011 at Leadership in Nashville…..AND SHE REMEMBERED TOO!!! How amazing is that?!?!?!

Me & Shannon, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Throw Back….Monday! 🙂 Here we are in January 2011 and the center photo in the above collage is from this past weekend!! Shannon, you are amazing and inspire me and I feel like you are my Stampin’ Up celebrity! 🙂 Not that all of the other ladies at the event weren’t as well though! These ladies were from many different states, all gathering together and sharing stamping tips and chatting. We are one big family. A big shout out to Glenda Travelstead too for getting Claire to sleep on Friday night! Claire enjoyed your snuggles!

Now I’m off to the stamp room during nap time to play with my new product I won for Prize Patrol and to go through all the samples and ideas to start playing! Eeeeee!

I hope you all have a wonderful day! PS: If you would like to join this amazing family of fun and inspiration, join my team by clicking here!!! You won’t regret it!
