Full of Charm Paper Pumpkin Kit!

The foil print on the card base is really stunning as is. Then with the added flowers, both stamped and die cut, this card is just amazing! I love it! I created this kit with my 7 year old daughter, Claire. She created 1 and I created 2. It wasn’t until the second one that I created that I realized the greeting piece matched the foil pattern. I sort of went, well look at that….haha I’m sure that was intentional by Stampin’ Up! but it made me giggle!

Normally, I’m not a huge fan of cards with greetings saying miss you! I always think who will I send this to but for some reason this time I thought of lots of people! Some friends of mine I haven’t seen in a long time. My sister and her family who haven’t visited for a few months. Now I almost feel like I need more than just these so I can send one to all of those I thought of! Who would you send this card to?!?!

This card blows my mind. At first I saw the card base with these beautiful bright flowers and splatters of foil. It seemed so bright and cheery. Then I started to assemble it and when I put the darker outline over the flowers, it really changed the entire look! I almost wanted to create one with the outline and one without. What did you think of this card when you created it?!

Crafting Essentials: Grid Paper!!!

I thought I would share a few of my crafting essentials! These things come in handy when crafting. While not always necessary, they do make thing easier sometimes!

Grid paper is something I use every time I am stamping and take to each of my Stamp Classes! This might be a surprise but it’s a very versatile tool! Here are several practical and creative uses for grid paper that you can use in your card-making and stamping setup:

Practical Uses for Grid Paper in Card Making & Stamping

1. Stamping Alignment & Positioning

Use the grid lines to align stamps perfectly—especially helpful with sentiments or geometric patterns.
Easily center die cuts or embellishments by working on a gridded background!!

2. Protect Your Work Surface

Prevent ink, glue, or marker bleed-through from damaging your table or crafting area.
Grid paper catches all the mess during inky techniques like blending or spritzing.
Once it gets too messy, just toss it and grab another sheet!

3. Measuring & Layout Planning

Use the printed measurements to pre-plan card layouts or matting layers.
Quickly check dimensions without grabbing a ruler!

4. Practice Stamping

Test new stamps or ink colors on it before using them on your project.
Use for stamping off to achieve different color variations or for 2-step stamping!
Practice pressure and placement, especially with photopolymer stamps.

5. Masking & Blending

Use sheets to mask off areas or to create temporary backgrounds for blending and sponging.
Fold or cut the paper to create custom templates or straight-edge guides.

6. Project Notes & Sketching

Take notes, draw layout sketches, or jot down supply lists directly on the sheet during a class or creative session. My customers do this all the time – write down something we use in class that they want to order or sometimes a doodle of something we are all chatting about! 🙂
Great for remembering card measurements or layering dimensions or colors used in a project.

Mountain Majesties!!!

The May 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit was called Mountain Majesties!!! It was the perfect masculine card kit for the upcoming Father’s Day holiday! Just fabulous!!!

This is my favorite one from the set. There were 3 different card styles, 3 each for a total of 9 cards! The layers and texture for the cards created by cardstock and vellum layers for the mountains and hills are simple and yet majestic!

This card is actually missing one of the layers. Oppps! Claire and I created this kit together and at the end we realized we had a green hill leftover. Now we will just use those pieces for something else instead! 🙂 Claire was very excited to create a Father’s Day card for Brad! Now we are all set!

The added layer of the trees makes this one a favorite of mine too! As I created this card, I stamped the birds like the instructions showed but then when I added the greeting it covered them up! So then I added 3 more sets of birdies! I like it with more anyway! Happy Accident!

Flip Flap Card!

I have really been loving this Flip Flap style of card and find myself creating it over and over in different designs. I’m not sure what to call it so I’m going with Flip Flap! LOL Here’s hoping you love it and try it out too!

The best part about this card is that you can use both the front and back of a sheet of Designer Paper!!! Eeee That is super fabulous especially when creating with the Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper! I just love flowers!!!

Start with a piece of cardstock (Garden Green) measuring 8-3/4″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″. The flap will be on the right hand side folding in! Layer a piece of Designer Paper on this right side flap measuring 3″ x 4″. I love measurements like this because then there is no waste in a sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Paper.

Next, layer a piece of coordinating cardstock (Secret Sea) on the “inside” of the card in the center measuring 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″. Then adhere a piece of cardstock (Garden Green) measuring 8-1/2″ x 3″ and scored at 4-1/4″ onto the inside layer. This creates a mini card in the center of the full size card! Layer a piece of Florals In Bloom Designer Paper to the front flap measuring 4″ x 2-3/4″.

Since I felt this paper was so beautiful and I didn’t want to cover it, I went with a very simple greeting for the front! Using the Sweet Blooms Stamp Set, I stamped Hello In Secret Sea Ink and then added a little leaf to the side. Since I didn’t want the leaf to over shadow the greeting, I stamped off once for a lighter look. The leaf was stamped in Garden Green. Using the To The Point Punch, I punched out the greeting but trimmed off the extra. Again, I didn’t want a huge greeting to hide the pretty flowers. The greeting was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then I embellished with a few Secret Sea In Color Flat Pearls!

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of Basic White Cardstock measuring 4″ x 2-3/4″. You can always stamp a greeting of your choice on this piece. I added a little leaf from the Sweet Blooms Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink!

Two-Toned Cardstock!

What is Two-Toned Cardstock?
This 12″ x 12″ cardstock has a lighter shade on one side and a darker shade on the other side. The core of this cardstock is white. It comes in 53 Stampin’ Up! Colors and there are 12 sheets in each paper pack!

What does white core mean?
This cardstock has a white core with the lighter shade on one side and the darker shade on the other side. This makes it fun to create a lot of texture in your greeting card, scrapbook pages, or other project when you tear it and get that detailed look. Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit!

The April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit blew me AWAY! Oh my goodness! So first it arrived in a fun pink and purple stunning box. Then I opened it to Berry Burst tissue paper and the most stunning kit ever! This Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit is my favorite BY FAR….even more then March!

Again, I’m blown away at the beautiful colors and that pop of gold foil in this card! The cut out greeting adds a fun flare that doesn’t take away from the background. Normally I’m not a huge fan of Congratulations cards because I never know how to use them. This one is fun and delicate as all of those flowers are a delicate die cut! Don’t worry though as it is held on with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and the greeting over the top! I also added butterflies to the inside of each of these cards for some fun coordination!!!
