Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! This is a fabulous day because it’s Tuesday! The Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Promotion begin today and today is my first class of the year!!! WOOT WOOT!!! Let’s get this party started!!!

Birthday Cupcakes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Check out this amazing card!!!! Cupcakes – CHECK! Cupcakes – CHECK! I love it so much!!! I love every product in the It’s My Party Suite from the Occasions Mini Catalog! The colors, the products, the fun is all so fabulous! So let’s get started on this beauty!

I started with a card base of Whisper White. Then I took a piece of the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″ and layered it onto Crushed Curry measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. I added that to my card base. For the greeting, I used the Party Wishes Stamp Set and stamped Happy Birthday in Mint Macaron on Whisper White. I stamped the cupcakes from the Party Wishes Stamp Set onto scrap Whisper White. I colored them with a Melon Mambo and Tip Top Taupe Marker. Then I punched out the cupcakes with the Punch Party Pack (Bundle & Save 15%). It is super quick and simple to pop those little suckers out. Also, a full Stampin’ Dimensional fits on the back! WOOT WOOT! I added three of the cupcakes to the greeting piece and layered it onto Melon Mambo cardstock. I added the greeting piece to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals! You know how much I love those things! 🙂 To finish off the card, I added a few Crushed Curry dots from the It’s My Party Enamel Dots pack! They add a little pop of color and texture!

SNEAK PEAK: Birthday Balloons!

Posted on

I know it is Technique Tuesday but today my technique is a Sneak Peak! I can’t wait for the Occasions Mini Catalog to begin on January 5th!!! Here is a sneak peak of some of the products from the It’s My Birthday Suite! I love all of these products because I make lots of Birthday cards. What can I say I have a big family and they all have birthdays!!!! 🙂 Also, the color combination in the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack is amazing – Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron, and Crushed Curry. Ahhhh I love it all!!!!

Birthday Balloons, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card was created with a Mint Macaron card base. I cut a piece of the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper into a 4″ x 3″ square….this way you can get 12 of these pieces from one sheet! Woot Woot! I added some Melon Mambo Satin Stitched Ribbon around the card at the top of the designer paper! Then I stamped the greeting from the Party Wishes Stamp Set in Tip Top Taupe as well as the balloon strings! The little balloons are from the same set and coordinate with the Party Punch Pack (Bundle and Save 15%)! I love it. It has a candle, a cupcake, and a balloon. I stamped my balloons on some scrap Whisper White in Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron and then punched them out. A full Stampin’ Dimensional fits on the back which is super fabulous! Some of the balloons were attached with Snail Adhesive and some with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I love how the balloons look more real and really pop on the card! 🙂

I love this suite so much that the first class of 2016 is all about the It’s My Party Suite! I can’t wait to start classes back up. I haven’t had a class in almost 2 weeks and I miss all my stampers!

Let me know what you are most excited about from the Occasions Mini Catalog in the comments below!!! If you are on my mailing list, you should have received yours in the mail. Technique Tuesday – Animal Owl Punch Art!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you! I am doing 4 more animals using the Owl Builder Punch!!! You can see the Punch Art samples from the past months here, here and here! I hope you are enjoying all of these fabulous creations as much as I am!

Penguin, Chicken, Mouse, and Fish, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t these adorable?!?!?! The penguin is perfect for Christmas and Winter cards. They are all super cute for kid’s cards, birthday party decor and so much more! You can see the wet glue in my photos so it looks like I will need to be a little bit more precise on glue use next time! It really isn’t that noticeable in person but the camera really made it shine!

Chicken Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the Chicken, I used the Owl Builder Punch and 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch! You will need Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock. I punched out one owl body and a half of the scallop circle in Whisper White. I punched out a half of owl body with the feet in Pumpkin Pie and one heart. I punched out to Real Red hearts. You will snip off the white feet and the owl ears/horns. Just round out the top of the owl body and adhere the Pumpkin Pie feet to the back. Adhere the owl body on the scallop circle and then place the hearts and googly eyes on. I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen for adding the hearts! It was super easy since the tip is very precise…..but I think I can use a lot less than I did. 🙂

Fish Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the fishy, I used just the Owl Builder Punch and some Pumpkin Pie and Pacific Point cardstock. You will need 1 Owl Body, 2 Breast Pieces, 1 Heart, and 1 Circle (the one above the owl body). Snip off the owl feet and place the heart there for the lips. The breast pieces peak out on the top and bottom as fins. I attached the googly eye to the blue circle and then to the fishy! For this one, I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen and again I used a little bit too much! Once it was dry, it didn’t shine as much as it did in the photos!

Mouse Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the little mousy, I used the Owl Builder Punch and some Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Pink Pirouette cardstock. You will need an owl body, heart, 2 white circles (the smaller ones above the body), 2 pink small circles, and 2 gray larger circles. Then for the tail you will line up the punch with the already punched owl body and just allow a little sliver to be punched out. Don’t worry I show it in action in the video tutorial below! 🙂 I layered the gray and pink circles together and placed those on the owl body after cutting off the owl ears/horns and rounding it out! I added the white circles for the eyes and with a Basic Black Marker added a little beady eye. After adding the pink heart as a nose, I drew a few whiskers on there as well! You could always use googly eyes as well! I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen for all of the adhering but again less is better!

Penguin Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the Penguin, I used the Owl Builder Punch and some Basic Black, Whisper White, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. You will need an owl body, breast piece, partial body with the feet, a heart, and 2 white circles (the smaller ones above the body). I started out by cutting off the owl ears/horns and rounding it out like those above! I snipped off the black feet and adhered the orange feet to the penguin. I placed the breast piece on pretty low on the owl body and then the white circle up higher for the eyes. You can always draw them in with a marker or add googly eyes! I really love googly eyes because they really make him come to life. For the little beak, I just cut it out of the heart. I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen on all of the little pieces which made it super easy but I need to use less next time!

To see all of these in action, check out my Video Tutorial below or by clicking here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on any more of these and other fabulous videos!

Let me know in the comments below which is your favorite??? I like the Mouse the best! 🙂

Technique Tuesday – Holiday One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means that I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! Tis the Season to be jolly so we are making quick and simple cards using the One Sheet Wonder Technique!!! I got 13 cards from one sheet of 12″ x 12″ Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper!

One Sheet Wonder - Christmas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

All adorable, all quickly created, all using the same greeting!!! I honestly whipped these up in an hour or so! I didn’t actually time myself but it was really quick! Let’s get started!

12 x 12 One Sheet Wonder Template

Here is the template. For this set of cards, I cut that top 2″ x 12″ strip into 2 pieces of 2″ x 5-1/2″ to really use up the paper and get more cards out of it! You can also leave in all of those little slivers and create the same style and use up even more of the sheet! I used the same greeting for all of these cards. It is from the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch! I stamped it onto Very Vanilla and layered it with similar colors that coordinate with the paper – Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, and Very Vanilla!

Diagonal One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is the bottom right hand corner piece. I ripped it diagonally and placed it on the corners of a Real Red and Very Vanilla card base!

Holiday One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These cards use the 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ piece and 2-1/4″ x 4-1/2″! I used both sides of the Designer Series Paper for these cards!

Home for Christmas One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I really had a hard time deciding which side to use for all of these cards! Another tip is that you can use your scraps for the layering colors. You don’t need a full piece to layer behind it, instead you can use little strips of paper on either side!

Simple Holiday Card Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the 2″ squares for the middle card and off set them with a 2″ Mossy Meadow square! I really like how it turned out!

Simple One Sheet Wonder Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Rather than cutting three 1-1/2″ squares, I just left it as a piece of 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ in the card laying down! I really went basic for this set because I needed to get these done quickly! That is all 13 cards!!! You can always mix it up and change the pieces as you see fit!

If you would like to see this in action, check out my Video Tutorial here or below!! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it!

Technique Tuesday – Peaceful Pines!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! I’m showing off the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set and coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits (Bundle & Save 15%).

Perfect Pines, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is the perfect winter scenery and I love it!!! I started with a Whisper White card base. Then I took a piece of Soft Sky measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and ran it through the Big Shot in the Woodland Embossing Folder. I attached this to the card front. I took a piece of scrap Whisper White and ripped it along the top. You will want to go a little up and down to look like snow on the ground. I stamped the greeting from the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz on the right hand side and place it on the bottom of the Soft Sky cardstock. For the trees, I stamped the green one in Pear Pizzazz onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock and cut it out with the largest tree in the Perfect Pines Framelits! The silver tree was cut out with the medium tree in Silver Foil Paper. Then I used the dotted garland to give the texture and decoration to the tree. I added the silver tree to the card front with Snail adhesive and tucked the stump behind the snow. I added the green tree to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals out front! I love all of the texture and dimension on this card and the beautiful scene it creates! This card would be perfect for all occasions cards throughout the winter season!

If you would like to see more on the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set and Perfect Pines Framelits, check out the Video Tutorial below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it! I will be posting the other samples shown in the video soon! Be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out!

Technique Tuesday – Just Add Salt!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! We will be playing with water and salt and it is so cool!!! I learned this technique from Mary Ellen at our Demonstrator Meeting! I love sharing ideas with fellow demonstrators! If you are interested in becoming a demonstrator to get a fabulous discount on the product, have lots of fun and learn new techniques, click here for more information or reach out to me any time! I would love to chat with you and answer any questions you might have!

Night Sky Salt Technique, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Can you see that fabulous background that is all crackles and amazing looking?? I love it! it adds so much more to the project and it is very simple. I used Table Salt!!!! We all have that in the house, right? Let’s get started!!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Table Salt, Stampin’ Spritzer (water), Shimmery White Cardstock, Sponge Daubers, and Ink

I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. This paper adds a little extra shimmer to your project and it is a little bit thicker so it works well when you spritz it with water! You will sponge your background any way you like. You can do lots of colors, just one color or a night sky. I was going with a sunrise/sunset look in the sample above! I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry (the green came from the bleeding of the yellow and blue). Once you have added your color with the Sponge Daubers, spritz it all over with the Stampin’ Spritzer. The spritzer should have just regular water in it. This allows the colors to run and bleed. Then you will add regular table salt and watch the magic happen! You will start to see the salt soak up the water/color. You can set it aside to dry or use a Heat Tool to speed up the process. I like using the Heat Tool because 1. I have no patience and 2. I love to watch the magic happen. You will see the paper start to flatten back out and the water crawls around and the crackles begin to appear. It really super cool to watch! Once it is all dry, you can decorate. You could stamp an image over top and cut it out or use it as a background. I stamped the trees from Lovely As A Tree in the sample above. I thought it needed a little more but then I didn’t want to cover up the amazing look. I finally decided on the Silver Ribbon and simple greeting from One Big Meaning! I punched the greeting out with the Washi Label Punch!

Rainbow Salt Technique, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You all know how I LOVE bright colors! This one I created like a rainbow using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, and Elegant Eggplant! I love how amazing the colors look with that crackled look and a hint of shimmer. I thought the greeting from the Feel Goods Stamp Set went perfect on this card! I added a little bit of Whisper White Cotton Ribbon and was all set! I love it!!

If you would like to see this technique in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or by clicking here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it!!!

Technique Tuesday – Room Divider Card!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means!!!! I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and it uses my favorite punch – the Decorative Label Punch!!! Check this out!!!

Room Divider, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t this adorable?!?! You could create it for any occasion by switching up the images – baby, wedding, moving, just because, get well, and more! I always think cute standing cards like these would be great for a get well or thinking of you because they can be displayed oh so nicely.

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Cardstock and Decorative Label Punch

There are not very many supplies which is fabulous and it still fits into a regular Medium Envelope! You will need a piece of cardstock (your base) measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and you will fold it in half like a a regular card. Then you will fold the end up to the that center fold for both sides, so folding the front up and the back one back. I hope that makes sense. Use a Bone Folder for those nice strong creases! This creates the folds so your card stands up. Now with 2 of the layers of cardstock folded, slide the Decorative Label Punch up half way and punch! Do this so that there is a punch out of all 4 pieces. This created those decorative feet on the bottom of your room divider. Now it is time to decorate. The Basic Black cardstock measures 3″ x 2-1/4″ and the Very Vanilla measures 2-3/4″ x 2″. I decorated the Very Vanilla with the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and then added some butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set. I stamped the butterflies in Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch! I added the butterflies with some Stampin’ Dimensionals! Love it!!!!

Laying Down, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You can see this in action in the Video Tutorial below of by clicking here!!! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it!!! Come back tomorrow to see the Easel Card!

Technique Tuesday – Owl Builder Punch Animals!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have some fabulous techniques to share with you! Today I’m sharing more Punch Art using the Owl Builder Punch! I hope you are all enjoying this series! Click to see the September Punch Art and October Punch Art! Now let’s get started on the November Punch Art!

November Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

With all of the different holidays coming up, I thought I would share the Turkey, Moose, Reindeer and Lion this month! Lots of animals…..and yet not one owl! 🙂 Let’s get started!

Turkey Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This little turkey was created with the Owl Builder Punch! You need a Soft Suede owl body and breast piece. You will need a Pumpkin Pie lower owl body including the feet. You will need 4 Pumpkin Pie Banners from the Banner Punch! Also, 3 Cajun Craze Banners and 3 Soft Suede Banners. You will need a Real Red heart from the Owl Builder Punch and 2 white circles from the Owl Builder Punch. I brushed the edges of the breast piece with a Soft Suede Sponge Dauber to add a little darker color and dimension. I cut of the Soft Suede feet and adhered the Pumpkin Pie piece to the back allowing those feet to show! Layer the 3 banners together for all of the feathers and adhere those to the back of the owl body. For the eyes, I used a Daffodil Delight Marker to color the bottom half and then a Basic Black Marker to color the dots! I added those to the body with Mini Glue Dots! I used the 4th Pumpkin Pie banner to cut the triangle nose and paired that with the heart for his gobbler!!! He is so cute!!! You could use him on a tag, place setting, treat bag, or card this Thanksgiving!

Reindeer Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The little reindeer uses the Owl Builder Punch and Bird Builder Punch! You will need 1 owl body and 2 leaves from the bird punch in Soft Suede. I used Red Glimmer Paper for his nose and punched it out with the small circle in the Owl Builder Punch. I added the nose with Mini Glue Dots and put the leaves on the top of his head! I added googly eyes because I think they are adorable and drew in the mouth with a Basic Black marker! He would be perfect for a tag, treat bag or even on a card!

Moose Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The moose uses the Owl Builder Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch and 3/4″ Circle Punch! I used lots of shades of brown to give him some dimension and variation. The owl body was punched in Chocolate Chip, the antlers with the Elegant Butterfly Punch were punched in Soft Suede and the circle was punched in Early Espresso! I used a Basic Black Marker to color 2 little nose holes (like tear drops) and then adhered it to the owl body. Of course I cut off the little feet from the owl. I cut the butterfly wings off and rounded them off a little. I attached the wings behind the owl body for the antlers and added the googly eyes!!!

Lion Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This little Lion was created with the Owl Builder Punch and the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch! I punched the owl body out in Crushed Curry and the little heart from the Owl Builder punch in Chocolate Chip. The scallop circle was punched out in Cajun Craze. I cut off the little feet from the owl and added the googly eyes and the heart nose. I used a Mini Glue Dot for the nose…..be sure to push it all onto the paper before placing it on the owl otherwise it will look like a snotty nose like mine above. 🙂 I used a Chocolate Chip Marker to create the mouth and the little freckles! I layered this onto the scallop circle and you are all done! This would be perfect for a kid’s birthday party favor, tag, or card!

If you would like to see all of these in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or by clicking here! Be sure to give it a thumbs up if you liked the video! Don’t forget to Subscribe to My Channel so you don’t miss any of my other videos and next month’s Punch Art!

Which little animal is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! I think the lion is my favorite or the reindeer! They are all just so cute!

Technique Tuesday – Snow Friends Framelits!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! Today we are playing with the Snow Place Stamp Set and Snow Friends Framelits (Bundle & Save 15%)! How cute is this???

Snow Friends, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I have had even more fun with the little penguin but that little snowman is beyond precious!!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Snow Place Stamp Set, Snow Friends Framelits, Big Shot, Scrap Whisper White, and Inks

You can use those Whisper White scraps that you have been saving….surely I’m not the only one! 🙂 I stamped the Penguin, Snowmen, Arms and Top Hat from the Snow Place Stamp Set all in Basic Black! You can stamp with fairly close together but not sure close that the Framelits would cut into the one next to it. I stamped the ear muffs in Melon Mambo and the bow tie in Bermuda Bay. There are lots of other pieces in this set that you can use as well – buttons, hat, scarf, snowcone, and more! Once you have everything stamped, it is time to cut the out with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits. I used the Magnetic Platform when die cutting these out because the frames stick to this platform and don’t move around. You can cut lots of pieces out at one time, as long as they all fit on the platform! This way you don’t have to run it through the Big Shot millions of times! Once you have your pieces cut out, it is time to assemble!!!

I started with A Bermuda Bay card base and layered on some Basic Black. Then I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot in the Softly Falling Embossing Folder! I added this to the Basic Black layer and then built my snowmen on the card. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals of course! For the nose, I used a Pumpkin Pie Marker to color it in!

Penguin dressed for winter, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is the penguin that I created in the Video Tutorial! You can check that out below or by clicking here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it!

Which do you prefer the snowmen or the penguin? Let me know in the comments below!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means!!! I have a fabulous technique to share with you today. I will show you how to create over 70 Cards from a Designer Series Paper Stack! I used the Pretty Petals Stack and created cards for every occasion – man, women, sympathy, birthday, anniversary, wedding and more!!! I love it!
Pretty Petals Card Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the cards that I created with each sheet in the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack! You can get multiples of each of these cards and then use the leftover scrap pieces to create quilt cards like these samples! I will be posting a few of these today and the rest tomorrow!!! 🙂 Let’s get started!

Butterfly Lovely Amazing You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Calypso Coral card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/2″ x 2″. You can get 3 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 12 cards like this! The border on the top and bottom is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from the Lovely Amazing You Stamp Set and punched it out with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch! The butterflies were punched out from the Elegant Butterfly Punch and Bitty Butterfly Punch!

Sympathy Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Mint Macaron card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 2″ x 5-1/2″. You can get 3 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 12 cards like this! The border along the side is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from the August Paper Pumpkin Kit and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch! The butterflies were stamped from the Papillion Potpourri Stamp Set and then punched out from the Elegant Butterfly Punch and Bitty Butterfly Punch!

Coral Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Calypso Coral card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! The Designer Series Paper is layered onto Old Olive measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. I wrapped some Gold Baker’s Twine around the left edge and tied it into a bow! The greeting is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I die cut the greeting out with the Deco Label Framelits and added a layer of Old Olive with the next frame size up! I added a flower that was punched out with the Petite Petals Punch and I placed a Pearl in the center!

Quick Simple Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Very Vanilla card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 2″ x 5-1/2″. You can get 3 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 12 cards like this! The border on the left and right of the DSP is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting from the same set and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch!

Birthday Circles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses a Pacific Point card base. The Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper measures 5-1/4″ x 4″. You can get 1 of these from one sheet and since there are 4 sheets of this pattern, that is 4 cards like this! I used some of my scraps of cardstock in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pacific Point. I used various sizes of circle punches. The greeting is from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set. I thought the circles looked a little plain at first so I added the little stitches around the edges and I think it really makes them pop! Love it!! This would make a fabulous kid’s card!

I will be posting the rest of the cards in the set tomorrow! If you would like to see all of this in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or by clicking here! If you liked the video, be sure to give it a thumbs up! Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss tomorrow’s post! 🙂
