Flippin’ Frogs!!!

Posted on

These little frogs from Sale-A-Bration are just adorable. When looking at this card, I thought Flippin’ Frogs because they are all over the place. That reminds me of this crazy “game” at my parents house for the kids to play. The adults hate it because it’s just a tree with rubber frogs all over and then after some time the tree pops and the frogs go flying. There is no real “game” or strategy to it but the kids (grandkids) LOVE IT and pull it out every time. I’ll take this card over that game any day!!!

Flippin' Frogs, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t they adorable?? I really love how this card turned out!!! The framelits I used for these are no longer available as they sold out very quickly. So for those of you who snagged them before they were gone, have fun recreating this card. For those who didn’t get them, I hope you enjoy fussy cutting! 🙂

I started with a Call Me Clover card base. Next, I stamped the flies from the So Hoppy Together Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set all over a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and colored a few of them with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I really struggled with this because I wanted a bit of color to make them pop but didn’t really want to color them all. I decided to color 5 and that was it….no more or less. Random doesn’t really work well with me as I tend to color this one and that one and one over here and soon I have colored them all. 🙂

So Hoppy Together, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I stamped each of the frogs from the So Hoppy Together Stamp Set and used the coordinating Hop Around Framelits (sold out) to die cut them. You may wonder where that middle front came from….I cut the unicycle off. Each frog was stamped in Call Me Clover and colored with the Call Me Clover Stampin’ Blends. To make the frogs stand out a bit more, I added a punched circle of vellum cardstock behind each one. I really love that look….subtle but adds texture and pop!

Frogs & Flies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I added a piece of Whisper White with a few stamps flies and a frog! I have really been loving to decorate the insides of my cards!!!

Don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st so there are only a few days left to get this So Hoppy Together Stamp Set and other freebies for every $50 you spend. Click here to start shopping!

All Adorned!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know what that means….I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!! This All Adorned Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set is perfect to use on a Stamparatus because the images interlock. The set is photopolymer so you can see through the images and use it on blocks as well!

All Adorned, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving Night of Navy and Pineapple Punch together. The contrast is AMAZING and the colors work for many occasions. This card is perfect to have on hand and just stamp a greeting on the inside when you need it.

I started with a 4″ x 8″ Night of Navy card base. I wanted the square look since the pattern looks better for a square. It still fits into a regular envelope with a little room on the side but that’s okay and this way it will still cost the same postage. Next, I took a piece of Pineapple Punch measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and stamped the corner image on each corner. This was super simple with the Stamparatus. Simply line it up to stamp in one corner and then rotate your cardstock around! Perfectly lined up and in the corner each time! I love that!

Then for that fabulous focal point, I stamped the 2 layering images overlapping each other using the Stamparatus. First, stamp 1 of the images. I started with the Night of Navy image. Next, place the other stamp over the top and pick it up with the clear plate of the Stamparatus. Then ink it in Pineapple Punch and stamp. That image was then punched out with a 2″ Circle Punch and layered onto a Night of Navy piece punched out with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch. I added these to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the Bride, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I stamped a few of the images on the corners to make it all match with the front. I used the greeting from the Well Said Stamp Set because I’m going to use this card for an upcoming Bridal Shower!! The perfect little card for any occasion!

Now is the time to get the Stamparatus because you just need $1 more and you will earn this All Adorned Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set for FREE!!! Click the supply list below to start shopping!

Celebrate with Cupcakes!!!

Posted on

Cupcakes are my favorite dessert followed by cheesecake. I love to make cupcakes and decorate them too! I think I have made cheesecake like twice…it is so expensive to make and finicky. So when it’s time for a celebration, we celebrate with cupcakes! What is your favorite dessert to eat, make, or celebrate with?? Let me know in the comments below!

celebrate with cupcakes, www.laurasstamppad.com

Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st so this is the last week. Get these cupcakes before they are gone! Unfortunately, the coordinating Call Me Cupcake Framelits are sold out already. If you were lucky and got a set, you can recreate this card exactly. If you missed out, You can always fussy cut out the cupcake or just stamp it in the corner!

I started with a Granny Apple Green card base and layered on a piece of Lovely Lipstick (4″ x 5-1/4″). Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the little flower in Lovely Lipstick. You can stamp all over as a background or in a upper left to lower right diagonal pattern. For the greeting, I stamped it in Granny Apple Green Ink and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. All of the images on this card come from the Hello Cupcake Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. Using a little bit of the Lovely Lipstick Ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Pack in a loop, I placed it down and added the greeting on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the cupcake, I stamped the liner in Crumb Cake and the cake in So Saffron Ink. I love lemon cake or just a yellow cake. Yellow cake reminds me of my Grandma! 🙂 The icing was stamped in Lovely Lipstick and the little heart was stamped in Granny Apple Green. All 4 of these images were then die cut with the coordinating Call Me Framelits. If you have them, fabulous but if not, no worries. You can just fussy cut the images or stamp these directly to the Whisper White layer (just don’t stamp flowers in that corner). A final little touch that I did was add some Wink of Stella to the icing for a little shine! It did bleed the ink a bit but I was okay with that for a soft pink all around! Still looks tasty to me!

Check out the supply list below so you can create this card and earn the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set for Free with Sale-A-Bration (free item with every $50 spent).

A Friend Is Thinking Of You!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! I hope you are ready to tackle the week. Sometimes Monday can seem like a fresh start, back on routine from the chaos of a weekend, and I’ve got a superwomen attitude! Then there are the weeks that I’m ready to crash from a busy weekend, my to-do list for the week isn’t created so I wander around wondering what to work on first. Those are the days that a simple smile from a stranger at the grocery store, a random text from a friend, or happy mail in the mailbox mean the most!!! Everything is quickly turned around and superwomen comes back! So today, I just want to say, “A friend is thinking of you and you got this!!!”

A Friend is Thinking of You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a quick and simple card that can be created in any color scheme and with any designer series paper. Perfect to create and have some on hand all the time!

I started with a Highland Heather card base and added a strip of the Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper (2″ x 5-1/4″). Next, I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the adorable huggers in Gorgeous Grape Ink. This is from the Artfully Aware Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog!! I love the images and greetings in this set as they are so heartwarming and perfect!

Then I layered this piece onto a layer of Gorgeous Grape. The greeting in the corner was stamped from the Part of My Story Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape Ink. Before adding the focal point, I laid down a strip of the Flax Ribbon. The Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the focal point help to hold the ribbon in place!

Part of My Story, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is another similar version. I created this one portrait rather than landscape and I left off the ribbon. The card uses a different image and greeting but again using the same stamp sets! For this card, I colored in the image using Stampin’ Blends. I did use some of the Gingham Gala Sequins on both for a little extra flare.

Which one is your favorite??? If you want to recreate these cards, click the supply list below and remember there are only a few days of Sale-A-Bration left!! Every $50 in orders earns you a FREE item!

Laura’s Quick Tips – Textured Stamping!!!

Posted on

Good morning!!! I hope you are all having a wonderful day to start out with! Today, I wanted to share another one of Laura’s Quick Tips! This one is showing you how to get that perfect textured stamping. Many of Stampin’ Up’s stamps have that amazing texture to the image that makes it look so real. If you ink pads are too juicy though, it just comes out like a splotch!

 Textured Stamping, www.LaurasStampPad.com

All you need for this tip is a plastic spoon. I prefer to use this because it is easy to clean and cheap/disposable if I forget to clean it. It is also gentle on your ink pad so it won’t tear the foam pad.

If you are stamping a detailed image and it comes out all splotchy, I can help you! I’m using the lily in the Lasting Lily Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. First, rub the back of the spoon over the ink pad to move some of the ink over. If the ink pad is too wet/inked, then too much ink gets on the stamp and doesn’t allow for that texture to shine through. By moving some of the ink over, it allows for the stamp to be inked just enough and show off that perfect texture! Then stamp your image! If it is still splotchy, rub a little more ink over.

Too Much Ink, www.LaurasStampPad.com

What Are Cling Stamps???

Posted on

Okay so I’m super behind on posting this because Cling Stamps came out in January. I didn’t want to leave you all hanging and you might still be wondering. What Are Cling Stamps??? Today I’m going to tell you!

What are cling stamps, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Cling Stamps came out in the Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Brochure! You may have not even noticed because they look very similar to the Clear Mount Stamps. They have the red rubber and the sticker on the back. The big difference is that sticker. It is SUPER sticky and it won’t fall off your clear block anymore. Many stampers had issues where the Clear Mount Stamps would fall off the block and it was frustrating. Stampin’ Up heard us and fixed it!

Assembling the Cling Stamps is the same as it was with the Clear Mount Stamps. Simply peel off the back of the foam stamp. Then peel off the back of the sticker and place it down. Since it is SUPER sticky, be sure that once you stick it down, just go for it. There is no picking it back off. If the sticker is a bit off just trim it. It’s okay!

Another big tip is to be careful when pulling the stamp off of the block. Since it is stuck on there really well, you will want to ease it off or use your Take You Pick Tool. This tool makes breaking that suction deal and taking it off super easy! If you just pull, it could tear at the foam.

If you would like to see this all in action, check out the video below or click here! Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. If you would like a notification when I post a new video, be sure to click the bell right next to the subscribe!!!

Garden of Lilies!!!

Posted on

My Mom is a huge gardener. She loves to do and has a yard full of gardens with flowers, vegetables, herbs, and more! Me…..not so much! My thumbs are pink (only because that’s the ink color I use the most), not green! I do enjoy going to visit and walking around the yard looking at all of the flowers though! To see all of the color variations and what is blooming at different times of year is just amazing to me! Lilies are my favorite flower so if I ever did get a green thumb, I would have a garden of lilies!

Shades of Purple Lilies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving the Lasting Lily Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. It is so elegant and real looking! I also love a stamp set with images and greetings. Not just outside greetings but this set has inner and outer greetings. BONUS!!!!! I love it!

I started with this card using a Highland Heather card base. Next, I added a piece of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″). Then I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and stamped the lilies from the Lasting Lily Stamp Set. The center Lily was done with Gorgeous Grape Ink and the smaller ones in Highland Heather Ink. All the stems and leaves were stamped in Garden Green Ink. It’s okay if the stems and leaves look all over the place and like a mess because once you put the ribbon and greeting on, it just looks like a fabulous garden!

Garden of Lilies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

See what I mean with the crazy stems and leaves. They look all over the place and floating. I didn’t add the leaves to the center stem because I thought it would look too crowded so I just added them around the edges. Once I was finished stamping, I added some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon and tied it into a knot. For the greeting, I used the Layering Ovals Framelits with Whisper White and Gorgeous Grape cardstock. The greeting was stamped in Gorgeous Grape as well. I added the greeting with Stampin Dimensionals. For the inside, I used a leftover piece of the designer paper along the left side and stamped a little flower and greeting! I’m all about decorating the inside of my cards lately. It’s weird because I never use to want to do that.

Shades of Orange Lilies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I did this one in Grapefruit Grove and Calypso Coral Ink. I am loving it! Which one is your favorite?? Let me know in the comments below! Check out the supply list for these amazing cards below and remember you can earn the Lasting Lily Stamp Set for FREE with Sale-A-Bration!!!
