Technique Tuesday – Baby Bear Peek-A-Boo Glimmer!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! Today, I have a fabulous technique to share with you – Baby Bear Peek-A-Boo Glimmer greeting!!!

Baby Bear Peek-A-Boo Glimmer, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t he precious….or she?!?!?! That little teddy just looks so real with the 3 step stamping images. You can always do a blue card base and silver glimmer paper or even yellow for gender neutral! I just think this card has such a WOW factor to it!

I started with a Blushing Bride card base. Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla (4″ x 5-1/4″) and die cut the congrats greeting out of the top with the Sunshine Wishes Framelits! Now, before adhering it to the card front, I stamped little Baby Bear on there. Since this is a 3-step stamping technique, I stamped the solid  image in Crumb Cake Ink (stamped off once). I stamped image #2 in Crumb Cake (full strength). Finally, the #3 image was stamped in full strength Tip Top Taupe Ink. A few tips for this 3-step stamping, be sure to ink it up well and press firmly all around the image since it is a larger image. When stamping, I always looked to line up that little rounded bum and the ears. If I had those 2 points lined up, I was golden. Another tip is that if you think you are right on top of the image and need to move down a bit, stay exactly where you are and it will be perfect. It’s when I think I need to go down a bit that I end up off a bit. You got this!

Baby Bear, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now that Baby Bear is stamped, it is time to add this to the card front! I used a piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper that was big enough to cover the greeting. This could vary depending on your greeting of choice. Next, I added adhesive to the back side of the glimmer and placed it behind the greeting (glimmer side up). Then I placed this piece onto my card front with the vanilla piece centered all around. Press over the greeting/glimmer paper so that the adhesive sticks. Now I know that my glimmer paper is in the correct spot. Then I took the vanilla piece off and added Stampin’ Dimensionals all around and placed it back over the glimmer paper. The dimensionals make it look a little more 3D and gives a little peek-a-boo glimmer look!

To finish off little Baby Bear, I added a Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon bow to his neck securing it with a Mini Glue Dot. Isn’t he precious?!?!?

Of course, if you would like to see this all in action, check out my Video Tutorial below or click here! I did the one in the video as a Baby Boy card! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new. I post a new video every Tuesday and Thursday!

Loving these Anniversary Lace & Hearts!!!

Posted on

First of all, I just love this card! The anniversary lace & hearts is just so elegant and soft looking which is perfect for such an occasion!!! <3

Anniversary Lace & Hearts, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I started with a Crumb Cake card base. Next I layered on a piece of Flirty Flamingo (4″ x 5-1/4″) and a piece of Falling in Love Designer Series paper (3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″). I loved this paper because it’s has soft beautiful patterns. Unfortunately it is sold out already!

Now for the greeting, I used the So Detailed Framelits (on the retired list and on sale) to die cut the banner with the hearts it in. I used Very Vanilla cardstock! The greeting was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink with the So In Love Stamp Set (also on the retired list and on sale). To attach this to the card, I added adhesive to the far left, the middle spot where the greeting is stamped, and the little end tab. Then I took some Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon and tied a bow. I attached it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.

So Detailed, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love the simple and yet elegant look. This card could be used for a baby card, wedding card, or anniversary card because it is soft and simple. You could mix up the designer paper and go with any occasion.

Technique Tuesday – Flip Fold Mother’s Day Card!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! I have a fabulous flip fold Mother’s Day Card to share with you today!!! Just in time to make for Mother’s  Day which is on May 14th!!! You could also change up the designer paper and greetings to make this card for any occasion!

Flip Fold Mother's Day Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So of course you can’t see the flip fold part until you watch the video tutorial below. So stay tuned!!! I got this amazing idea from fellow stamper, Julie Davison! She is amazing! Let’s get started!

Mother's Day Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

First, I cut 2 card fronts (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) and one card base (3-3/4″ x 11″). I did my card fronts in Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron and the card base in Whisper White. Next, I scored the card base at 1″ & 6″. I added adhesive to the bottom rectangle (3-3/4″ x 5″) and placed it in the center of the Mint Macaron card base. Then I folded the rectangle above that down and the little 1″ flap fold back/up. I added adhesive to this flap and placed the Watermelon Wonder card base over the top, lining up both card bases. You want to make sure you line up the card bases rather that place the on the Watermelon Wonder with a border so that it lays flat. Now your card base is complete and it’s time to decorate!

For the front of the card, I added a piece of Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper (3″ x 4/1/4″) to the bottom. I tied some Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around the card to cover up the seam of the 2 types of paper! For the greeting, I die cut an oval using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I just love how fabulous these are! The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy Ink and the flowers in Watermelon Wonder Ink. I used the Love & Affection Stamp Set. The greeting was added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Flip Fold Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for the inside panel, I added another piece of the Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper (3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″). The copper accents really give a fabulous look to the card. I die cut another Stitched Shapes Oval and stamped the greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. You could also use another greeting from the Love & Affection Stamp Set as well. Using that stamp set, I stamped a few flowers on the bottom panel and left the rest open to write in. Another option would be to stamp the middle and bottom panel and leave a lot of space for writing! It’s the perfect Mother’s Day card!

My Mother-In-Law’s Amazing Card!!!

Posted on

Today, I’m sharing with your my Mother-In-Law’s amazing card that she created when we stamped together! Isn’t it just precious???

Mother-in-Law's amazing card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is so amazing and Cindy did a wonderful job on it with all the amazing details! Let’s get started on it!

Cindy started with a Whisper White card base and layered on a piece of Bermuda Bay (4″ x 5-1/4″). Next, she took a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to stamp the teddy bear on. She used the Baby Bear Stamp Set. The 3 step stamping was done in Crumb Cake Ink, Soft Suede Ink, and Chocolate Chip Ink. Then she fussy cut out the little bear. This is the crazy part. I am a horrible fussy cutter but she rocked  it and it really did make him POP! Before adding the teddy to the card front (Whisper White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″), she added a little color and texture using a Sponge Dauber and Bermuda Bay Ink. Next, Cindy added the teddy to the card from with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The little bow using Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon is the perfect accent which was attached with a Mini Glue Dot.

The greeting was stamped from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay Ink! Finally, for the balloon, Cindy used the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set and coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch. No fussy cutting necessary for that one! 🙂 The balloon was stamped in Rose Red Ink. To adhere it to the card, Cindy added some Whisper White Baker’s Twine to the back of the balloon. She secured it with a Stampin’ Dimensional and then added a smidge of Fine Tip Glue to the teddy bear’s hand to secure the tail because otherwise it would flop around.

This card turned out perfectly and Cindy created it especially for her Sister-In-Law! The teddy seems so snugly because of the layered stamping and little bow. I think she will cherish it forever!

Stamping Your Own Designer Paper!!!

Posted on

Stamping your own designer paper is fun and makes endless possibilities for all of your projects! I used the So In Love Stamp Set for this beauty!!!

Stamping Your Own Designer Paper, www.LauraStampPad.com

You all know I just love flowers and this card just makes my heart happy! The color combination is fabulous too – Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Rose Red!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base. Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla (3-3/4″ x 5″) and stamped all over the background using the So In Love Stamp Set. The largest flower was stamped in Rose Red Ink. The set of four smaller flowers were stamped in Blushing Bride Ink. The greenery was stamped in Mint Macaron Ink. Be sure that when you are stamping your own designer paper that you fall off the edges so it looks like the pattern continues!

Once it was all stamped, I layered  it onto a piece of Rose Red measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″! Then I wrapped some Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around it and tied it into a knot. Because of the ribbon, I added this layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This way it lays nice and smooth! For the greeting, I die cut a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped it in Rose Red Ink. I added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished it off with some Pearls!

Background Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card would be perfect for so many different occasions. If you changed up the colors it would be fit each season too! Also, that color combination is just fabulous! Let me know your favorite color combo in the comments below! I need some new ones to try!!!

Baby Bunny is just Adorable!!!

Posted on

This baby bunny is just precious and I used Basket Bunch Stamp Set which is Easter themed! I love using a stamp set in out of the box way! To see a few other samples with this set, click here and here!

Baby Bunny, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You could always create this little baby bunny card in pink, blue, or even yellow. Go with the color that you enjoy the best!

I started with a Whisper White card base! Next I die-cut a scallop oval and smooth oval using the Layering Ovals Framelits. With the smooth oval and the card base, I pounced the Embossing Buddy over the top to reduce any static on the paper before heat embossing. Next, I stamped the greeting from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set and bunny from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set in Versamark Ink. I poured Gold Embossing Powder over the top and heated it with the Heat Tool. Oh how I love watching the powder melt! It’s so magical every time! Check out this Video for the basic on Heat Embossing!

Now that the heat embossing is all complete, it’s time to add color! I stamped the dotted splatter on the background twice in Melon Mambo Ink using the Happy Celebrations Stamp Set. To color in the bunny, I used some Melon Mambo Ink and an Aqua Painter. I love how the embossed image acts like a little barrier to keep the ink/water in! To assemble the card, I layered the bunny oval onto the scallop oval. Then I took some Gold Thread and wrapped it around my fingers a few times (10-12), slid the loops off my fingers and twisted in the middle. Next, I placed this on  the back of the scallop oval and secured it with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I always like to add more dimensionals to really make my gold thread fan out just so. Peel the backs off of the Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the card! It’s just so precious!!!

I know today is Thursday and I normally do a Video on Thursday but I did a special one yesterday for my Stampin’ Anniversary. You can check that out here!

Technique Tuesday – Beautiful Reflection!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous beautiful reflection technique to share with you today! I am super loving the Beautiful You Stamp Set. Check out more samples here, here, and here!

Beautiful Reflection, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t this card just stunning? It’s beautiful and peaceful! I just love it so let’s get started!

I started with a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) cardstock and stamped the greeting from the Beautiful You Stamp Set at the top. I did it after the fact in mine but it helps to do it first! Next, I stamped the girl from the same stamp set in Basic Black Ink onto the cardstock and then onto a piece of Window Sheet. Be careful when you stamp on the Window Sheet because it is slick! Then I flipped the Window Sheet over and placed it on the cardstock, matching it with the black squiggle on the bottom. Press over the window sheet to make sure the ink transfers to the cardstock. I love how it looks foggy and incomplete because that is how it would look as a reflection. Also, it helps make your card still look good when it doesn’t come out perfect! 🙂

For coloring, I used the Watercolor Pencils to color her dress and umbrella (Bermuda Bay & Rich Razzleberry). I used the Blender Pen to blend the color around! Then I went back through and added accents with the pencils. I didn’t trust myself to get the perfect watercolor wash for the puddle so I used the Watercolor Wash Stamp Set and Pool Party Ink. I stamped off once for a lighter look!

I really wanted a piece of Designer Series Paper for the left hand side but didn’t have any that was Rich Razzleberry. Then I realized I could make my own with the Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper. Using the Sponge Brayer and Rich Razzleberry Ink, I colored the Designer Paper to match! Be sure to wipe off any excess ink to really make the embossed design pop! I added this piece to the left hand side of the card and tied some Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon around it! Next I adhered this piece to a Rich Razzleberry card base! I just love it!!!

If you would like to see this all in action, check out my Video Tutorial below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new. I post a new video every Tuesday and Thursday!

Fill Your Basket of Colorful Flowers!!!

Posted on

Easter is almost here and some may be filling their baskets with eggs while others fill a basket of colorful flowers!!! I love these colors and Spring look!!! Spring is my favorite Season and Easter is my favorite holiday!!!
Basket of Colorful Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base! Then I took a piece of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper (5-1/4″ x 4″) and placed it on the card front diagonal. The look is super fun but sometimes I wonder if it just looked like I messed up and make it crooked. 🙂 I’ll take it!

Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (5″ x 3-3/4″) and adhered 2 pieces of grass die cut from the Basket Builder Framelits. When I placed the grass down, I just left the gap in the middle where I planned on putting the basket so you can’t actually see it! As for adhesive, I just ran some Snail along the bottom of the grass and stuck it down! I stamped the greeting in the upper left corner from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set. I used Basic Gray Ink and stamped twice before going back to the ink pad for that shadow look. Next, I added this to the card front diagonal and worked on the focal point!

For the focal point, I stamped the basket, flowers, and leaves (from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set) in Basic Gray Ink onto Whisper White scraps. I like to use gray for that softer look! I die cut out all of the pieces with the coordinating Basket Builder Framelits (Bundle & Save 10%). Die-cutting out the pieces before coloring is best so that if you cut them incorrectly, you haven’t wasted coloring time! For the coloring, I used the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens!

For the basket, I placed the handle on the back and secured  the ends with a Stampin’ Dimensional on either side and one at the bottom. Don’t place a dimensional in the middle because you will want to stick your greenery down in the basket! I wrapped some Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine around the basket and and tied it into a bow and placed it on the card front! Now it’s time to assemble the flowers and greenery using Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. You can fill the basket as much as you want!

This card could be created for any occasion or season just by changing the greeting and colors! What is your favorite flower? Let me know in the comment below! Mine is a Peony but I do love all bright flowers! They make me smile!

The Stunning Glimmer Floral Lace!!!

Posted on

This card is just stunning with that glimmer floral lace detail using the So In Love Bundle!!! I think this card is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and so much more. It is just amazing!!!

Glimmer Floral Lace, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Very Vanilla card base! Next, I layered a piece of the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″) onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock (4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″). I placed this on the card front! For the amazing glimmer floral lace detail, I used the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and the So Detailed Thinlits. It is best to place the thinlit on the backside of  the glimmer paper to run through the Big Shot. When I did this I found that I could use the Big Shot Die Brush to pop all of the pieces out. If I run it through face up and use the brush, it scruffs up the glimmer and sometimes makes it come off! This  is the perfect solution.

Die Cut Pretties, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I just love how all of the pieces popped out and look so amazing! Now it is time to adhere it to the card front. I put it on the left hand side and used the Multi-Purpose Glue to adhere it. Just use a sponge and some of the glue to pounce all over the details for that perfect amount of glue without any messes! I love it!!! Next, I added some Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon around the card and into a knot.

Floral Lace, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I used the Layering Ovals Framelits and the So In Love Stamp Set! I added the greeting to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Oh how I am just in love with this card and this bundle! Don’t forget that you can purchase the So In Love Stamp Set and So Detailed Thinlits as a Bundle and you will save 10%. Stay tuned as I have a lot more samples coming soon!

I Love Bright Spring Flowers!!!

Posted on

These bright Spring flowers on this card scream Spring!!! I just love it! It’s my favorite season for sure! Flowers are always my favorite to stamp on cards!!! This card is just so amazing!

Bright Spring Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base. Then I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 4″) and stamped the flowers from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set in Basic Gray Ink. I like using gray for the more subtle look! Using the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens, I colored in the flowers! After blending the color, I went back in with the pencil and added some accents! I have really been loving the Watercolor Pencils! You can check out so more fun samples here, here, and here!

Now that I have the flowers colored, I layered this onto a piece of Melon Mambo measuring 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ and added it to the top of the card base! For the greeting, I stamped it in Basic Gray from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set. Then I punched it out with the Classic Label Punch! I added the greeting with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Since the greeting is so skinny, I used some of the dimensional border and trimmed it to fit! To finish off the card, I wrapped some Old Olive Baker’s Twine around the card and tied it into a bow. TIP: Tie it into a double knot first so it is nice and tight around the card before tying the bow!

Do you love bright Spring Flower too or do they make your allergies flare up?? Let me know in the comments below!!!
