Pink & Gold Go Hand In Hand!!!

Posted on

I think that Pink & Gold go hand in hand. Every girl needs a little bling in her life whether it is gold or silver!!!

Pink & Gold Go Hand In Hand, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These colors are just so fabulous together! Don’t forget that the other half of the Bundle of Love Designer Paper is a beautiful blue!!!

For this card, I started with a Blushing Bride card base. Then I cut a piece of Gold Foil Paper measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Rather than wasting all of it by covering it up, I die cut the scallop circle out of the middle before layering on the Designer Paper. I used the Layering Circles Framelits for the scallop and smooth circle! Once I had cut out the middle, I layered on the Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper. The designer paper is 3-3/4″ x 5″ and I cut it at 2″ to have a 2″ piece and a 3″ piece! It doesn’t matter which one is the gold side and which is the pink, that’s all personal preference.

After adhering those on, I added a strip of Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon around the spot where the paper comes together. This gives a nice clean look and I did adhered the ends on the back side and added it to the card base.

Love & Hugs, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for the greeting, I stamped it from the Ribbon of Courage Stamp Set in Blushing Bride Ink. To give it a little more color and pop, I brushed the edges with a Sponge Dauber. Next, I layered it onto the scallop Gold Foil circle and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Starry Night on Earth!!!

I love Navy and Silver for Holiday Cards and this starry night card is just perfect!!!

Starry Night on Earth, www.LaurasStampPad.comEven though I enjoy using Night of Navy, I try not to use it as the card base since it is harder to write in or then I have to add a Whisper White base inside. For this card, I just went with a white layer to add even more POP!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I took a piece of Night of Navy and stamped all over the background with the starry image from the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set! You can get this set this month before the Holiday Mini Catalog comes out on September 1st! Be sure to stamp off the edges of the cardstock for that nice background that looks like it continues on. Once I was finished stamping, I tied some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon around the card and added it to the card base!

Carols of Christmas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I cut 3 squares! The Silver Foil is a 3″ square. The Night of Navy is a 2-34″ square and the Whisper White is a 2-1/2″ square. Using the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy Ink. Next, I layered them all together and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I added a few Rhinestones!!! I just love it!

You can check out some more samples using the Carols of Christmas Bundle here, here, and here! This Bundle is available this month as a sneak peak before the Holiday Mini Catalog comes out on September 1st!!! Get a head start on your Holiday Cards!

Welcome Baby!!!

This Welcome Baby Card is simple and yet precious! Change up the colors for a specific gender or to match the child’s nursery colors!

Welcome Baby, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I just love to soft colors and the texture from the embossing, ribbon, and scallops!

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base! Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″ and embossed it. I ran it through the Big Shot in the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder and added it to the card front. Using some of the Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon, I tied a knot around the card in the middle. For the greeting, I die cut out the smooth circle and scallop circle with the Layering Circles Framelits! The greeting was stamped from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set in Daffodil Delight Ink. To add a little more color to the greeting, I brushed the edges of the circle with a Sponge Dauber! I layered the circles together and then added them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love the simple, clean look of this card. It is one that could be made up with a few being pink, a few blue, and a few yellow. Do you like to make multiples of cards to have on hand or make them as you need them? Let me know in the comments below!

Here are the products I used for this card!

Pretty Label Punch & Layered Circles!!!

Posted on

This greeting really pops with the Pretty Label Punch and layered circles! I just love how it all coordinates together!Pretty Label Punch & Layered Circles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look at how that greeting just POPS! I got this idea from the talented, Mary Ellen Stites! Thanks M.E.! Let’s get started!

I started  with an Elegant Eggplant card base. Next, I took on a piece of Lemon Lime Twist (4″ x 5-1/4″) and ran it through the Big Shot in the Layered Leaves Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. A little tip with these super deep impression folders is to spritz the paper with a little water before running it through the folder. This allows the fibers in the paper to press into the folder without having those lines and creases. I added a strip of the Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon and just tacked the ends on the back side!

Now for that fabulous greeting!!! I used the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set and coordinating Pretty Label Punch (Bundle & Save 10%). Here is a list of each layer I used:

1″ Circle Punch for top layer thank you greeting

1-1/4″ Circle Punch for the green wreath portion

1-3/8″ Circle Punch for the Wisteria Wonder layer

Pretty Label Punch for the wider floral layer

1-3/4″ Circle Punch for the Elegant Eggplant base layer

A few tips along the way. I ended up using a marker to color in the Thank You greeting because the 1″ Circle Punch still leaves a hint of that wreath around it when it is punched out. That seemed to bother me so I just inked up the greeting only and it worked better. Always stamp first and then punch it out so you can center it much easier! The colors I used were Elegant Eggplant, Lemon Lime Twist and Wisteria Wonder! I added Stampin’ Dimensionals between the Wisteria Wonder circle and floral Pretty Label Punch. Also, I used them to adhere the greeting to the card! To finish it off, I added some bling with the Gold Faceted Gems.

Berry Burst Embossing Paste!!!

Posted on

Did you know you can color Embossing Paste??? Here I made Berry Burst Embossing Paste and I love how it looks with Peek-A-Boo Peach!!!

Berry Burst Embossing Paste, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This color combination is super fabulous! You all know I love PINK but with this peach is just stunning!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next I took another piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and placed the diamond mask on top. This mask is from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks pack! Using the Silicone Mat, I scooped some Embossing Paste onto it and mixed in a few drops of Berry Burst Ink Refill. Simply fold and smear the paste around with the Palette Knives until you get the desired color. Once the color is perfect, just smear it over the top of the mask, allowing it to fall into the diamond shapes. I did a complete cover for this one but you could also just do a corner or one smear across. It’s all up to you! I set this aside and cleaned up the tools before finishing the card. It’s best to clean up the tools right away as it dries fast.

While the paste was drying, I worked on the greeting. First, I die cut the circles with the Layering Circles Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits. Using the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting and added a few flowers in Berry Burst and Peek-A-Boo Peach!

Layering Circles with Stitched Shapes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now it’s time to assemble. I added the embossed piece to a layer of Peek-A-Boo Peach (4″ x 5-1/4″) and tied some Striped Ribbon around it. I added this layer to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals! The greeting was also added with Stampin’ Dimensionals since it goes over ribbon and embossing paste.

I love the simple look, cute greeting, and all that texture! If you want to check out more on the Embossing Paste, check out this Video Tutorial.

Make Your Own Designer Paper!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! Today I’m going to show you that you can make your own designer paper just my stamping all over!!! It’s a lot of fun to mix and match the colors! Plus you all know I love FLOWERS!

Make Your Own Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.comThis is one of those quick cards that you can create in now time. It also is perfect for any occasion so you can have fun with it and make a few while you are at it. Perhaps, just leave the greeting portion blank so you can stamp the necessary greeting when you need to!

I started with a Tangerine Tango card base!  Next I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and die cut the scallops with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. If you have trouble with the die moving on your before running it through the Big Shot, simply add a little Post It Note (or Post It Note Tape) like I did in the photo below! I die cut multiples and it held up each time without needing to add more!Secure Your Dies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now that we have that decorative bottom, it’s time to stamp the top. I used the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set for the greeting and flowers. Be sure to leave space for the greeting in the lower right corner. You can stamp it first or at the end….or later if you make a lot ahead of time! For the flowers, I used Tangerine Tango, Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. Start with the largest flower first so you have plenty of room and then just fill in. Be sure to fall off the edges of the cardstock so it looks like the pattern continues. I tied some Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon around at the bottom of the stamped flowers! This gives a nice breaking point for your greeting to stand out. The greeting was stamped in Basic Black and then I added a few Glitter Enamel Dots for texture.

I just love flowers and bright colors! They make me so happy! I hope this card makes you happy as well and you have a wonderful day!

All the Details for Your Birthday!!!

Posted on

It’s all in the details for your birthday that make it super special. That is exactly what makes this card special too…..the details!!!

Details for Your Birthday, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love how this card turned out but I do have to admit that there are lots of details and steps for this beauty! Let’s get started!

I started with a Crumb Cake card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (2″ x 4-1/4″) and stamped the greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set. If you look really close, you will notice I stamped it twice in different colors. First, I used Tangerine Tango Ink and then I did a drop shadow in Soft Sky Ink. For the punched out greeting, I used the border and greeting from the same stamp set and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. I added this below the birthday greeting with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now that the greeting part is done, let’s move up the card. I took a piece of Soft Sky (1″ x 4-1/4″) and stamped the squiggle in Soft Sky Ink all along it. To me, this was the hardest part because it was so repetitive. 🙂 I flipped the image so it didn’t look exactly the same each time. Now to assemble all of this. I placed the blue and white pieces together and placed the Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon over the top. I wrapped the ends around to the back side and added this entire piece to the bottom of the card front!

For the balloons, I stamped the hooray in Tangerine Tango onto the same cardstock. I stamped the dotted balloons in Soft Sky and Lemon Lime Twist. Using the Balloon Bouquet Punch. To add the strings, I placed a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine on the back and set a Stampin’ Dimensional on top to secure it. I added one more dimensionals on the top side of the balloon so it was smooth on the card. So there are 2 dimensionals on the back, one down low holding the twine and one up top, both in the center. I placed the greeting balloon in the middle and then placed the other 2 on either side. Since the dimensionals are in the middle on the back, it allow me to overlap the balloons a bit. To finish it off, I tied a little knot around the ends of all three strings. This can either be left flopping around or it can be secured with a Mini Glue Dot right on that knot.

There are lots of steps to this card but it really comes together so well. This card is perfect for everyone with a few color changes so be sure to save this style. If you would like to see other samples using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set, check them out here and here!

Nothing More Truly Artistic Than To Love People!!!

There is Nothing More Truly Artistic Than To Love People….that’s just a fabulous greeting for a card, especially a homemade one!

Truly Artistic People, www.LaurasStampPad.comI really like this card for all of the layers and texture but also that color combination. Berry Burst is my favorite color right now for sure!!!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I took a piece of Berry Burst (4″ x 5-1/4″) and added some Embossing Paste. I used the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and the Palette Knives to swipe some paste diagonally across. I didn’t fill in each diamond hole, I just swept it across and that’s it. That messy, eclectic look is super cool for any style of card! I set that part aside to dry while I completed the greeting!

Scallop Square Greeting, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I die cut out the squares with the Layering Squares Framelits. The greeting was stamped from the Just Add Text Stamp Set in Berry Burst Ink. Now to assemble, I tied some Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon around the Berry Burst and added it to the card front. Next, I added the greeting with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like using these for dimension on my project as well as a nice tight grip over the embossing paste. The foam sinks into the embossed image and holds on tight. To finish off the card, I added a few Soft Sky Enamel Shapes.

Creating a Wooden Crate Full of Daisies!!!

Posted on

This Wooden Crate Full of Daisies is so beautiful! I love bright colored flowers. Also, this card uses up the leftover pieces from making the 3D wooden crate I showed on Tuesday. Check that out here!Wooden Crate Full of Daisies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t this card so rustic and fabulous?!?!?! I love the navy and yellow and that gingham ribbon!!!

I started with a Whisper White card base and layered on a piece of Night of Navy (4″ x 5-1/4″). Next I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and stamped the flowers from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set in Crushed Curry. I stamped the background image stamped off once and then stamped the detailed image in full strength. After I had all of the flowers placed, I added the stems in Old Olive. Some of the flowers have a hidden stem and some have a stem out front. This is all a variation to show a full crate of flowers!

Flat Box Tutorial, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the crate, I used the Wood Crate Framelits. I die cut out 1 crate piece with all of the top portion of the crate on the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. That bottom rectangle does not need to be completely on the paper because it will be cut off. This is a great way to use up the rest of the designer paper after die cutting a full crate to use as a 3D box. All of the tabs in the photo above are folded back and adhered. The rectangle above was just an extra piece cut out to fill in the spots that aren’t covered by the tabs. I wanted the crate to look seamless and have the same wood color peaking through the slats rather than the white cardstock I placed it on. Now I have a flat crate for my card!

Daisy In A Crate, www.LaurasStampPad.comNow it is time to assemble the card! I placed the crate over the flower stems and stamped the Farmer’s Market seal on the crate. This stamp is from the Wood Words Stamp Set. Bundle & Save 10% when you purchase the stamp set and crate framelits. Next I added this to the card front on top of the Navy cardstock. I stamped the greeting from Wood Words Stamp Set onto a strip of white. After that, I cut the banner tips and paired it with a Crushed Curry strip. Finally, I added the little bow of Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot.
