Cake or Cupcakes???

Cake One Tag Fits All, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Which do you prefer – cake or cupcakes? Cupcakes all the way right here!!!! I love them!!! Either way this card is super cute and festive! I started off with a Tangelo Twist card base and added a piece of Basic Black (4″ x 5-1/4″)! Then I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and ran it through the Big Shot with my Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. I punched out a few Banner Punches with the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper. I took some Linen Thread and went from the left side to the top middle, adhering it to the back with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then attached the banner with Stampin Dimensionals as well, making sure to have the dimensional go over Linen Thread to hold it in place! Now you will need to stamp the tag border and the eat cake greeting with a Memento Pad on a scrap piece of Whisper White (use your Stazon Ink if you are using Markers to color in). Then color in as much or as little as you wish with your Blendabilities (Bermuda Bay & Daffodil Delight)! You won’t be punching this piece out but instead using the Note Tag Punch to punch out the image from your embossed Whisper White. I lined it up so that the bottom of the paper was all the way in the punch and you will want to be on the right side of your paper. Now you can add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the rest of the back of the embossed Whisper White. Before you go to lay it down you will want to add adhesive to your colored greeting and line it up in the punched hole and place that down first, just right before you place the embossed piece. Now you have that window effect where the greeting is set in! Super cute and fun! Here is another photo of this sample straight on!

Technique Tuesday – One Tag Fits All!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and I do!!!! I received the One Tag Fits All Stamp Set for free from Stampin’ Up when I attended the New Catalog Premiere! It was super fabulous and a great perk of being a demonstrator is getting to see the new catalog items before everyone else….and free stamps! If you would like to join me for these events, you can sign up to be a demonstrator now and earn a FREE kit from the Occasions Mini Catalog! Woot Woot!!!

One Tag Fits All Baby, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay so lets get started on this fabulous technique I have to share with you today! Actually there are a few techniques….multiple uses of 1 stamp set and some cool ways to use your punches!!!! Isn’t this baby card just precious? It is very simple to make and since it is light blue and yellow, it isn’t gender specific so you can make a few of these up to have on hand. Love it!!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Embossing Folder, Decorative Label Punch, One Tag Fits All Stamp Set, Memento or Stazon Ink, Blendabilities or Markers, and Ribbon

I started with a piece of Soft Sky cardstock measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. I folded the card in half and then stuck the front of the card in my Polka Dot Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot! Then I stamped the New Baby image, from the One Tag Fits All Stamp Set which is in the new Occasions Mini Catalog, with the Memento Ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock. If you are coloring the duck in with Markers, you will want to use Stazon Ink. If you are coloring the duck in with Blendabilities, you will want to use Memento Ink. This is so the ink won’t bleed when you are coloring. After stamping it down, I colored it in with my Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities! Then I lined up this image in my Decorative Label Punch and punched it out. I then took my Decorative Label Punch and put my card front in the punch towards the right side and all the way into the punch so that I knew it was straight/even. I punched! Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to my stamped, colored, and punched piece and placed it in the punched hole on my card front. The best way to line it up is to have the card folded shut and just lay it in that punched hole. This is adhering the piece to the inside of the card which makes a fabulous front and inside to the card! Precious! Then I added some Daffodil Delight Cotton Ribbon around the side of the card and through that punched hole! Quick and simple and fabulous!!!!

Best. Day. Ever.

Chalkboard Best Day Ever, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card screams SPRING and when that day comes it will be the Best. Day. Ever.! If you haven’t figured it out yet, I LOVE Spring! New life with budding trees and flowers, fresh warm breezes, bright colors! I love it! This card is all of that – flowers, colors, and new product!

I started with a Pool Party card base and added a piece of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″) which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items that you can earn for free with a $50 (US) order! Then I added my greeting which is on a piece of the new Chalkboard (2″ x 3″) Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I punched the top with my Scallop Tag Topper Punch and stamped the greeting from the Best Day Ever Stamp Set in Rose Coral Chalk Ink! The Rose Coral comes out much brighter than the Aquamarine which is used here! I looped a piece of Pool Party Cotton Ribbon through the tag and attached it to my card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals! For a little bit of flare and fun, I added the three little flowers – Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Crushed Curry! I made these flowers by taking a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamping the little 4 petal flower from the Best Day Ever Stamp Set twice; giving the flower 8 petals! Then I cut them out…by hand….oh how I wish there was a punch for that so I didn’t have to fussy cut!! 🙂 I added those to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and put a Rhinestone in the center! Bright, Fresh and Fabulous! I love it!!!!

Valentine Treats!!!!!

Posted on

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner….okay so still a month away but still! I thought I would share some fabulous treats with you that are quick and simple for you to make up for kid’s classrooms, neighbors, nieces and nephews, friends, or random people you see the week of Valentine’s Day! 🙂

Valentine Treat Bag, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is your traditional treat bag using a 4″ x 6″ Cellophane Bag! I used some of the Stacked with Love Washi Tape to decorate the bag. I overlapped the ends on the back of the bag in the same spot as the seam of the bag. For the Topper, I used a piece of Real Red Cardstock measuring 4-1/4″ x 4″ and punched the bottom of the front with my Scallop Border Punch! Then I stamped the front with a To/From stamp in Real Red Ink. The one I used was from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set which is still available from the Holiday Mini Catalog!! Then I folded the piece of cardstock over the top of the bag and stapled it closed. Then I decided I didn’t like the staples showing so I added the Gold Ribbon which looks amazing so I’m glad I added it! If you like the staple took, you can leave the ribbon off or just place it lower. In one of my classes, I had a stamper staple on top of her ribbon so that is an option as well! I finished it off with a few hearts punched out with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and some Gold Glitter Paper!

Valentine Treat Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This little treat box is perfect for oddly shaped candy or other treats or if you wish to keep it a surprise! I started with the Tiny Treat Boxes which have also been held over from the Holiday Mini Catalog! Before assembling the box, I stamped the So Sweet greeting from the Hello Life Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I stamped it to wrap around to left. When we did this box in a stamp class, many of the stampers stamped either the entire greeting again on the back 2 sides or stamped just the curvy end on the other 2 sides! Then I added a little strip of Stacked with Love Washi Tape. After handling the box and showing it off at classes I realized that it started to curl on the corner so I would suggest wrapping the Washi Tape all the way around or at least around the corner to the side and not on the corner! I finished it off with some Real Red Cotton Ribbon! I love how that bow looks! Adorable!

Let me know what you think about these treats and what you plan on creating for your Valentine’s Day Treats in the comments below! I would love to hear your plans!

Happy New Year!!!!

Welcome to 2015! Let’s make it the best year yet!!! I am looking forward to all of my events, classes, stamp parties, meeting new people, laughs and fun that will take place in 2015! Be sure to check out my Upcoming Events to see when you can stamp with me next!!! Can’t wait!!!

One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Today I thought I would share some more fabulous samples using the One Sheet Wonder Technique. This technique is so much fun and pretty simple! You take a piece of Whisper White cardstock (8-1/2″ x 11″) and stamp all over it. I used the Flower Shop Stamp Set and Crushed Curry, Elegant Eggplant, and Melon Mambo Ink. Then you will put the piece up into the following pieces:

One Sheet Wonder Template, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Then you take each piece and make it into a card! You can follow the ways I used them or create your own! I used Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, and Whisper White cardstock for my cards. I brushed some edges with my Sponge Daubers of course! You know how I love my Sponge Daubers. The greetings I used came from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set. I even stamped a few flowers from the Flower Shop Stamp Set on additional cardstock and punched them out with the coordinating Pansy Punch! I added these with Stampin’ Dimensionals and some of them have some Dazzling Details to add a little bling! 🙂 Here are the rest of the samples!

One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I hope you all try out this technique! You can see other samples here, here and here! If you would like to see these cards in action, check out my Video Tutorial here! I apologize for the poor lighting.

Peaceful Beauty!!!!

Posted on

This card that I’m sharing today is amazing because of the feelings it gives me. I grew up in the country and I LOVED when it would be so peaceful and still outside with snow on the ground and cold crisp air. There is nothing more breathtaking! I just love it and it gives me such amazing emotions of the beauty in nature!

Festival of Trees, Snow, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Are you feeling that with this card? I started with a card base of Crumb Cake! I used the “ornament” stamp from the Festival of Trees Stamp Set for the snow in the background. I created this card first which is why I didn’t realize it was actually ornaments and did this on the tree card I made next! 🙂 After I did the background I ripped some scrap pieces of Whisper White to look like snowy hills and adhered them to the bottom of the card. Then I stamped the trees from the Festival of Trees Stamp Set onto more scrap white paper in Mossy Meadow and punched them out with the Tree Punch (Bundle & Save)! I attached those to the card using Stampin’ Dimesionals on two of them for that texture and scenery look. Of course I needed some glimmer to make the snow look more real so I added some Dazzling Details to the hills and bottoms of the trees! I love the bling!!! The greeting was stamped in Real Red and punched out with the Modern Label Punch! Love it!!!! This card is perfect for the Holidays or if you don’t get your cards done in time for Christmas, you could send this out as a winter greeting! 🙂

Pine Tree Perfection!!!

Posted on

Pine Tree Festival of Trees, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving this card…..is it the Trees? Mossy Meadow? Lucky Stars Embossing Folder? Satin Stitched Ribbon? I’m not sure which one item it is or if it is just a combination of all of them! It just look so perfect and like a real tree line!

I started with a card base of Mossy Meadow. Then I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and ran it through the Big Shot with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder! I really love that one! I wrapped some Mossy Meadow Satin Stitched Ribbon around the bottom portion and then adhered it to the card front. Then with some scrap white cardstock, I stamped the trees from the Festival of Trees Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow! I used the coordinating Tree Punch (Bundle & Save) to punch them out and I added them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals! The greeting is from the Festival of Trees Stamp Set as well and I brushed the edges with my Sponge Daubers! For the ends, I slide the piece of paper into my Curly Label Punch to only punch one side at a time! Of course do that before sponging the edges! I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!

Technique Tuesday – Silver Foil Wreath!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and this one is amazing!!!! It uses lots of my favorite items – embossing folders, bling (Silver Foil), and ribbon!

Silver Foil Wreath, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t the Silver Foil just amazing? The best part is there is no Silver Foil waste because you cut out the wreath from the layering piece of foil! I love using up all scraps and pieces!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:  Silver Foil (or Gold Foil), Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Cardstock, Stamps, and Ribbon

You will start with a piece of Silver Foil measuring 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″! Lay the wreath framelits in the center and run it through the Big Shot. Be sure that it is in the center because you will be using the leftovers to layer on your card! Now that you have your wreath cut out, you will place it in the Embossing Folder of your choice. I used the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder in the one above and Stylish Stripes in the one below!

Embossed Silver Foil, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now you can start to assemble. Add some Snail Adhesive to the corners of a piece of cardstock measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. For the one at the top, I used Night of Navy and for the one just above I used Lost Lagoon! Then you will adhere that to your Silver Foil that you used to cut the wreath out of. Add some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back corners of the Silver Foil and attach to the top portion of your card base. Then you will add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Wreath and attach that to the center of your square. Now you can pick the ribbon of your choice to add to the top of your wreath. For the card at the top, I used Whisper White Organza Ribbon and for the card just above I used Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon! On the bottom you can put the greeting of your choice. For one card at the top, I used Christmas Bliss Stamp Set and Modern Label Punch. For the card just above, I used the Watercolor Winter Too Stamp Set! The card pictured below uses the Bloom with Hope Hostess Stamp Set because I wanted a Birthday greeting that was scrolly and elegant like the card! I am loving this card idea and can’t wait to make more!

Punch Art – Kirby!!!

Posted on

Happy Friday!!!! If you have been following my blog for awhile now, you know that my husband and I make each other cards for Birthdays and Valentine’s Day. After the first time, my husband said, “So it’s on?” Ever since we try to come up with new and fun cards!!! You can check out the past ones here, here and here! Brad’s birthday was on Wednesday and here is what I came up with!

Kirby Punch Art, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It’s Kirby!!!! Isn’t he cute? My husband likes to play video games and I think Kirby is just adorable. I created him with a few punches and lots of love! 🙂 Especially since I was all done and I stamped the greeting on the top with a very large clear block (you know where I’m going here) and I got ink on the clear block and also on Kirby’s cheek. I wanted to cry. I texted my husband that I messed it up and he said I’ll love it anyway. Awwww So then I redid it!!!

Kirby mistake

I used a 3″ Circle from the Circle Framelits in Pink Pirouette for the body. The eyes use the Small Oval Punch in Basic Black with another punched in Pacific Point and trimmed down with scissors. The white circles were punched out from the Owl Builder Punch! I used my Basic Black Marker for the smile and my Melon Mambo Sponge Dauber for the cheeks! I punched out 2 Extra Large Ovals in Pink Pirouette for the arms and one in Melon Mambo for the front foot. For the back foot, I punched out a 1-1/4″ Circle in Melon Mambo. I brushed the edges of the Melon Mambo feet with my Sponge Dauber for that darker edge look! Believe it or not, I didn’t use Stampin’ Dimensionals! I used the Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine for the lasso! The greeting is from the Age Awareness Stamp Set and I did that in Pacific Point! I hope you enjoyed this little Punch Art Tutorial! Let me know if you try it out! Also, if you have any ideas for other video game punch art, leave me a comment down below!!!! I need to start thinking of my Valentine’s Day card! 😉

Technique Tuesday – Gift Card Holders

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! December is officially here and that means the holidays are right around the corner! Today I’m sharing the technique of making adorable gift card holders!!!! This is another fabulous part of my Gift Packaging Series! You can check out other here, here, and here!

Gift Card Holders, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t these adorable?? Well they are quick and simple to make too and really spruce up the Gift Card!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Cardstock, Sticky Strip, Score Blade, Corner Rounder Punch,  Designer Series Paper, Velcro and Stamps & Punches to decorate

Cut a piece of cardstock to 3 ½” x 8 ½” (you can make 3 gift cards holder from 1 piece of 8 1/2” x 11 cardstock)! Now score the cardstock along the 8-1/2″ side at 2 ½” from one end and 2” from the other end. Then cut 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper into the following: 3 ¼” x 1 ¾”, 3 ¼” x 2 ¼”, 3 ¼” x 3 ¾”. Fold on your score lines and you will place Sticky Strip along the edges of the 2-1/2″ side and adhere. This creates the bottom pocket! For the top flap, using your Corner Rounder Punch to round the two corners giving that soft look on the flap. You will want to round the corners on the smallest piece of Designer Series Paper too! Once you have done that, adhere that piece to the flap, the large Designer Series Paper piece to the back, and the medium piece to the pocket portion. Now take a little piece of velcro and place it on the top, middle of the pocket and close the flap to allow the top portion of the velcro to adhere to the flap. You can decorate the gift card holder as you wish! I like using my Label Love Stamp Set and matching Artisan Label Punch! The Designer Series Paper used in the photo above is the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack!!!! These are great for any occasion! If you would like to see this in action, check out the Video Tutorial below!!!! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you like it!!!!

I hope you enjoyed this technique and try it out! Leave me a comment down below on which Designer Series Paper you like to use on your Gift Card Holders!
