Timeless Tidings Project Kit!!!

Posted on

Happy Thursday!!! Today, I’m sharing the Timeless Tidings Project Kit and let me tell you it is amazing!!! At first glace, I was like oh wow that’s pretty. It’s also amazing to get 20 cards in the kit. Then I opened it up and loved all the gold trims and pretty envelopes and printed pieces. Now I’m even more in love!!

Timeless Tidings Project Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look at these beauties!!!! Aren’t they amazing? Those gold trim envelopes with stripes on the inside are super fun too!!! The other bonus that I was SUPER impressed was how simple these cards were. I honestly did 1 of each of these 4 while watching Claire (5 months old) in less than 30 minutes. That blew me away!

Poinsettia, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my favorite! I love the big flower and little gold scallop. When looking at the card base, there is a black V along the card and this is for lining up the gold scallop trim. It makes layering super simple and easy. No worries about putting the gold trim up to high or low. I will say that the greeting is pretty TIGHT on that banner so be careful!

Evergreen Trees, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my second favorite and honestly it would make a fabulous masculine birthday card too! Again, this card had a line to show where the gold trim. The gold trim for this one is the one with the little star on it. The instructions didn’t mention using the star but I added it to the one tree because why not. Stampin’ Up only added the star so you could differentiate which trim is used for which card. How perfect!!!! 🙂

Holly Berries, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love the gold banner layered behind the greeting on this card. Simply layer each piece together for a fabulous look and add some gold rhinestones all over. Simple and fabulous!

Gold Trim, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So for this card, I actually popped up the holly piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Since the greeting goes over the top and I didn’t want it be double popped so I only added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the far right side and then regular Snail to the left side. This made it nice and smooth!

Detailed Deer Card #2!!!

Posted on

Yesterday I shared a fun card using the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and coordinating framelits. Today it’s Part 2 and I’m sharing this detailed deer card!!! Click here to check out yesterday’s card if you missed it!

Detailed Deer Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

As you can see, this card is very similar in style to the one I shared yesterday! It also uses the same greeting banner, stamped floral image, same colors, and the die cut deer!!! This makes creating multiples for Christmas super easy!!!

I started with a Whisper White card base and stamped the floral image on the top and bottom in Merry Merlot Ink. All the images for this card are from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Next, I added a little strip of Gold Glimmer Paper just above and just below the stamped image. Then I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 4″) and embossed it with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder. TIP: I know this is sort of after the fact but I wanted to point out that you might want to hold the glimmer paper up to the embossed cardstock to make sure they line up correctly. While I cut the glimmer paper and white paper at 4″, after embossing it the white paper pulled in a smidge. This made the glimmer paper hang out a little on the ends and I had to trim it off.

Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for the focal point, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals (and some Mini ones) to the die cut Gold Foil Deer. I used the coordinating Detailed Deer Framelits (Bundle & Save 10%). Next, I added the greeting which was stamped in Merry Merlot Ink and punched with the Banner Triple Punch. It also was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Be sure not to put a dimensional on the spot that it sits on the deer because then it would be popped over the deer. So I just added some to the top side of the greeting and let the bottom rest on his back.

I love that I was able to cut a lot of the same dimensional and colors for 2 cards and get 2 different looks. It’s also super fabulous to not have to waste Gold Foil Paper because this deer isn’t really the easiest for minimal waste. This way I’m using the deer and the negative image for 2 cards. It’s perfect!!!!

Tin Tile Embossing Folder!!!

Posted on

Oh my goodness, my favorite product by far in the Holiday Mini Catalog is the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. It is just stunning on a project and looks amazing with foils!

Tin Tile Embossing Folder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The intricate details in the folder are just amazing! I love all the texture and the elegant look! To me, this folder was meant to be for foil papers!!! It’s just stunning! As you can see I used different foils in the photo above. I even used this new Galvanized Metallic Paper!!! It’s like the perfect brushed silver look.

Copper & Champagne, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Then I had some fun adding some black ink with a Sponge Dauber for a more rustic look. I really like the look on some of the foils and not so much on others.

Galvanized Metallic, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Galvanized Metallic looks super cool since it has that rustic look and a less shine and glitz.

Silver & Gold, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I kinda love this technique a bit! Of course some of them are darker and others are lighter. I simply rubbed some black on very quickly. I could always go back and add more or keep it light and dark for a more rustic look! Which one is your favorite?? Let me know in the comments below!

Check back tomorrow to see a sample using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder!!! Don’t have this folder in your collection yet, click the photo below to get it!!

Holly Berries & Stitched Labels!!!

Posted on

Happy Wednesday!!! This week is kind of going fast it seems!!! Just like this summer has gone fast and the holidays are right around the corner it seems. Don’t blink! Today, I’m sharing this fun card with holly berries & stitched labels!!!

Holly Berries & Stitched Labels, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the NEW Blended Seasons Stamp Set and coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits (Bundle & Save 10%). These products are available this month only so get them before they are gone! The stamps are perfect for any occasion and season and the framelits are amazing with the double stitching!

I started with a Very Vanilla card base. Next, I layered on a piece of Old Olive measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then, I took a piece of Very Vanilla (3-3/4″ x 5″) for stamping and Cherry Cobbler (3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″) for die cutting. Using the Stitched Seasons Framelits, I die cut the label out of the center of the Cherry Cobbler. Stay tuned to see how I used the label on another card. Using the negative border image as a guide, I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler and the holly berries in StazOn Black ink.

Stitched Seasons Framelits, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Using the NEW Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2, I colored in the holly berries. I used the Old Olive from the current Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1 and then added in accents by going down the center with Garden Green. The berries were colored with Cherry Cobbler. After coloring, I used the Blender Pens to soften and smear the color around. Once I was done coloring, I added the vanilla piece to the card front. Then I added the Cherry Cobbler frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished off the card with a few Gold Faceted Gems.

Don’t forget that the Blended Seasons Bundle is only available while supplies last this month only. Click the supplies below to get yours today! If you want to check out all the products in the Bundle, check out my Video Tutorial here!

June 2018 Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

The June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit was super fun and easy even though it took me like 3 days to put it together between baby snuggles, feedings, and napping! 🙂 It seems everything takes longer to do now that Baby Claire is here! It was still great to enjoy some crafting time where I didn’t have to think of the idea or haul out a mess of products.

June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I always need Birthday Cards and I love these colors together as well! The cake with the strawberries on it is super cute!!!

Broadway Star, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The first set of 4 cards have these fun greetings with cakes as the decoration. The one thing that I found odd was that the black and white layer that the greeting is on is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then the Hooray sticker goes on top and it hangs off. This is kind of odd because then the sticky is floating out there or dropping down and sticking. I think I would have put it all flat and just popped up the cake if I hadn’t put the dimensionals on first. Also, this photo doesn’t show it but each of the dots around the greeting gets a pearl on it and wowza does that make it POP! I love it!!! There were extra cakes and candles so I added those to the envelopes and insides of the cards!

You Did It, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this one, the banner with the stars was stamped. I tried to do this is a nice pattern but that was hard. For the most part I stamped down the banner and then did the next row. This was a bit all over but after assembling the cards, you can’t really see the pattern or any mistakes so it’s all good. I had leftover balloons so I added them to the envelopes! The little gold sequins all around make for a fun pop of bling that I like!

Which one is your favorite?? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank You Beary Much!!!

Posted on

Today, I wanted to share another card that I made for baby thank you notes. This Thank You Beary Much card is just so precious!!! Baby Bear looks so real and soft and cuddly! 🙂

Thank You Beary Much, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t this teddy just adorable??? He is a 3 step stamped image but I used the Stamparatus and it was smooth sailing! I love that tool!

I started with a Crumb Cake card base. Next, I took a piece of the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration (no longer available) and cut it into a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece. Then, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and stamped the teddy bear from the Baby Bear Stamp Set! I used the Stamparatus for perfect placement especially since I was making multiples. I started with image #3 in Early Espresso Ink. Next, I used Soft Suede for image #2 and then Crumb Cake for image #1 (more solid image).

3 Step Stamping, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I was able to do 2 images at the same time and then I ran through for the last stamped bear image. It went fairly fast actually since I didn’t have to focus and line up each bear myself. This way I could watch a movie while stamping or let me mind wander. 🙂 After all, stamping should be relaxing and fun and not stressful! Once the bear was stamped, I layered it onto a piece of Powder Pink cardstock and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some texture!

For the greeting, I cut out some Powder Pink and stamped the greeting in Early Espresso Ink. Using the Triple Banner Punch, I punched both ends and added a little knot of ribbon. I love that Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon for a little bit of bling and shine! The greeting was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals too!

3 Designs, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Since I made so many of this style of thank you note, I used different sheets from the Springtime Foils Paper Pack. Which is your favorite – dots, stripes, or floral?? Mine is the dots! I just like that random dotted look and the rose gold color! Leave your favorite in the comments below!

April 2018 Paper Pumpkin – You Are My Anchor!!!

Posted on

The April 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit – You Are My Anchor is so amazing! To be honest, I first opened it and thought…..ehh small gift cards…..ehhhh beach theme and I live in Illinois. Then I started creating it and my mind went crazy!!! I thought about the greetings (you are my anchor, you are my lifesaver, etc) and how amazing and powerful they are! These cards are perfect for me to use on the treats for the Doctors and Nurses during my weekly baby appointments and to take to delivery. They would be great to take to the local Fire Department or Police. Teacher Appreciation Week is at the beginning of May and these would be perfect. If you gave your teacher a beach towel and sunscreen on the last day of school, this tag would fit perfectly! So many amazing ideas!

You Are My Anchor, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look at all of this!!! There are a total of 20 cards and 4 gift boxes. It is just so much goodie and I had a TON leftover as well! This is just another reason I love Paper Pumpkin because you get SO MUCH! You can even try out Paper Pumpkin for half price for 2 months with the Promo Code: SAVEFIFTY0418 if you sign up before May 10th! Click here to sign up now!

April 2018 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These little cards were super simple to stamp and assemble. I have always found that stamping with all of the pieces still in the sheet is easier than popping them out first. Also, I used lots of twine to tie those anchors in the lower left corner and I still had tons leftover. I added a lot more gold hearts to the cards and even to the boxes because there were plenty. Be careful when stamping the birds (upper right) next to the lighthouse. The birds needs to be stamped on the white card part because it will smear off on the gold foil. For the two lighthouse cards, I added the greeting with a Stampin’ Dimensional on either end (far end) and not in the middle. This is so that it is smooth over the popped up lighthouse.

April 2018 Leftovers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are all of the leftovers after I finished the kit. There are 2 full sheets of the labels and hearts and a few extras. I had a ton of the twine left and a few die cuts. There is just so much goodie! You can see all of the supplies when I unboxed the kit here!

Don’t forget that you can try out Paper Pumpkin for 2 months at half price (normally $19.95). Try it out and see if you like it. If anything you will get a clear block, 2 ink spots, and 2 sets of stamps! That’s a lot plus you get all of the supplies for the projects! Amazing!!! Click here to try it out!!!

Coloring On Stamps With Markers!!!

Posted on

I feel like I always go through waves on using different stamp products in my craft room. I realized I haven’t used my markers in awhile so I got them out and created this beauty by coloring on stamps with markers!!!

Coloring On Stamps With Markers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is just stunning in the simplicity of it. I wondered if I should add some jewels or more stamping to fill it in but decided to go simple. Let me know in the comments if you love it as is or if you would have added more to the card!

I started with an Elegant Eggplant (retiring color) card base. Next, I cut 2 piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. One is for the inside of the card and the other is for the front. Then, I took the floral image from the Hold On To Hope Stamp Set and colored it in with markers. I used Elegant Eggplant for the flowers and Old Olive for the greenery. After coloring it all in using the marker tip and not the pen tip, I huffed on it a bit and stamped it down. Think about eating a piece of hot food. When you put it in your mouth and it’s hot, you sort of ha ha breath with your mouth open to cool it off. That is huffing. This action will moisten the ink on the stamps to make sure it is ready to stamp. For the sample above, I actually inked it up both times but you could always stamp it once, huff on it and stamp it again. The second image will come out a bit lighter but still look fabulous!

Another option would be to create 2 cards are one time, stamp the fresh image on one piece of white and the second stamp on another. Ink it up again and do the same, then one card will be the darker images and the second card will have both of the lighter images. I’m all about getting the most bang for your buck when stamping!

After stamping the flowers, I added this layer to the card front. Then for the greeting I used the Layering Squares Framelits with Whisper White and Gold Foil Paper. I stamped the greeting from the Hold On To Hope Stamp Set in Elegant Eggplant and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Perennial Birthday Card Kit!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! Today I’m sharing the fabulous Perennial Birthday Card Kit which has been super popular lately!!! I’m loving it for the colors, the organization, and cute cards!!!

Perennial Birthday Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love Birthday Calendars and always suggest them to everyone! They make great gifts as well. This card kit is a birthday calendar and card holder all in one! A birthday calendar is one that doesn’t need changed due to dates and days each year. My birthday is on August 29th so on the August Tab my name is on the line for the 29th. Looking into this box, you can see how many cards you will need each month and who to send them too! As you make more cards, add them behind the months that are still needing some. Amazing concept and look at those fun polka dots!!!

Wishing You the Best, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There are 16 total cards that come in the kit – 4 each of 4 designs. I made mine with different greetings to mix it up! There are also great inside and outside greetings in the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set which is super fabulous!! The gold foil adds some bling and fun to these cards as well. Don’t forget to stamp your envelopes for some added fun in the mail!

Today Blooms for You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This kit only needs 3 ink pads – Old Olive, Flirty Flamingo, and Dapper Denim. As you can see I mixed up the colors for this card to see what popped more! The little bow at the bottom was tied into a knot and then I added it to the card front with a little Mini Glue Dot!

Celebrating You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I really loved the color combination and flower print of these cards in the kit! This card is great for anniversary, birthday, wedding, and so much more!! Again, for this one, I didn’t actually tie the Baker’s Twine around the tag hole because I find that my bow ends up sideways. I simply tied a bow and stuck it over the hole with a Mini Glue Dot. This was much quicker for me and came out perfect each time!

Birthday Foil Balloons, www.LaurasStampPad.com

And because flowers aren’t very masculine, there’s always this set of cards! I love how the kit has a little bit of everything and not just all flowers or all masculine! I only added 1 little tassel to my balloons as I thought 2 was just too much. That’s all personal preference. Also, I kept all of the white background pieces together in a stack and was able to punch out the stripes all at once rather than each one individually. The envelopes were stamped with the dots in Old Olive. I just inked it up, stamped once and then a second and third time without going back to the ink.

This kit was super fun and versatile. I love the cards and the box is just so adorable! This makes a great gift or something to keep for yourself. If you would like to see all of the goodies in this kit, check out my unboxing video here! Get your kit and start creating with the supply list below!

New Ways I Have Started Using Ribbon!!!

Posted on

So I love ribbon and probably use it most as my embellishment of choice! I have knots and bows down to an art and I know my class attendees probably curse me every time they see ribbon…….practice does make perfect though! That is how I got good! 🙂 Lately, I have been using ribbon in other ways and I thought I would share those with you!!!

Started Using Ribbon, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love adding ribbon behind a greeting to make it pop and add texture!!! It’s fun and there are no knots or bows! 🙂

Rustic Ribbon Trick, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Linen Thread is fun to use because it isn’t very bulky and it adds a little rustic touch! I like using Linen Thread for man cards a lot! For this technique, I wrapped it around my fingers a few times, slid the loops off my fingers and twisted the loops into a figure eight. By doing this, it really helps the loops flare out so perfectly! Then I place the figure eight on the back of the greeting or image and placed a Stampin’ Dimensional in the center to secure it. Next, I fanned out the loops and secured them in place with more Stampin’ Dimensionals! You all know I love those things anyway! 🙂 Check out this sample to see it used!

Sequin Trim Decoration, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Who doesn’t love a little bling?? Adding loops of Sequin Trim is super simple. Start by securing the end with a Stampin’ Dimensional and then loop it around as you wish, securing it along the way with Dimensionals. TIP: Make sure that the thread side of the sequins is showing up when securing it down because when you flip the greeting over, the correct side will be showing! Here is a sample show off this style used!

Ribbon Loops, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is just a simple ribbon swoosh behind a greeting! Again, for this one, I placed the end at the top with as much as I wanted hanging off. Then, I secured it with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Next, I made a loop and placed a Stampin’ Dimensionals in V of the ribbon making sure to be touching both sides of ribbon and the cardstock in the middle. Then I did this one more time. If there is a spot that needs a Stampin’ Dimensional to help even things out, just add more! Here is a sample using this technique!

Side Ribbon, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This last one is rather simple but does require a knot! I took a piece of ribbon and wrapped it around the cardstock with both ends on the right side. Then I took some Metallic Thread and tied the ends together to hold them in place.

Let me know your favorite in the comments below!
