Happy Friday, Gorgeous, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a quick and simple card that I created! I love this simple layout and have used it MANY times with different stamp sets and designer paper. You can check out those here, here, and here!

I started with a piece of Whisper White measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ for the card base! Then I took a piece of Night of Navy (4″ x 4″) and layered on a piece of the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″). I added this piece to the card front towards the top. For the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous, I stamped it from the Beautiful You Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink. I added some Silver Metallic Sale-A-Bration Ribbon around the card and tied it into a knot! Simple and fabulous!!! This card is perfect to send to all the women in your life!!

Today is the last day for you to enjoy the Sale-A-Bration benefits of a free item for every $50 you spend! Technique Tuesday – Peek-A-Boo Designer Paper!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know that means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! Today, I’m sharing the Peek-A-Boo Designer Paper Technique. I love this one so much because you can see both sides of the Designer Paper and you don’t have to pick which side to use!!! 🙂

Peek-A-Boo Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

How beautiful is this card?!?!? I love that it is simple but still has a great wow factor! Love it!!!

I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base. Then for the Peek-A-Boo Designer Paper Technique, I used a piece of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Along the long 5-1/4″ side, find the middle (2-5/8″) and cut in 2″. Now I just folded the triangles back from the corner of the Designer Paper to the that cut line! It’s as simple as that!!! I did add a little bit of Snail Adhesive to hold my triangles back and in place!

To complete the card,  I took a piece of 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White and adhered it to the back of the Designer Paper on the side with the Peek-A-Boo. Just add a little bit of Snail Adhesive to the back of the Designer Paper, place the corners of the Designer Paper on the edge of the Whisper White and press down. Now you can add this to your card base!!! You can have the Peek-A-Boo portion on the right or left or top or bottom!

That is all up to you! I added the greeting from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum Ink. I thought the card  needed a bit of a pop so I stamped the flower from the Flower Shop Stamp Set in Calypso Coral Ink. Next, I punched it out with the Pansy Punch and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished it off with a White Perfect Accent in the middle of the flower! These things are perfect for flower centers! I love them!!! For the final touch, I put some Linen Thread around the card and tied it into a bow! Perfect!!!

I love how you don’t have to hide one side of the Designer Series Paper for this card!!! It’s perfect for all those amazing pieces of paper you have been saving because you love both sides! To see this all in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or click here!!! Be sure to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new! I post every Tuesday and Thursday on YouTube!

Don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration ends this week (March 31st)! Stock up on those items and enjoy all the freebies!!!

Hey Chick Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set!!!

Posted on

The Hey Chick Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set has been super popular….probably because of  this crazy fabulous one!!! He is my favorite of all of them! I love the greetings as well! They are just so fun and different!!!
Hey Chick, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Let’s get started on this fun card!!! I started with a Whisper White card base and added a piece of Peek-A-Boo Peach measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″! Then I took a piece of Whisper White (2-1/4″ x  1-1/2″) and stamped the greeting Hey Chick all over in Watermelon Wonder. I cut out 2 pieces of the Carried Away Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration item) measuring 2-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ (for below the greeting) and 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ for under the chick! It is easiest to line up all the pieces on the card and then pick one up, add adhesive, and place it back down. This way you know your spacing is all good!!

For the chick, I die cut one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I stamped the chick from the Hey Chick Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set in Basic Gray Archival Ink. I always like to use gray over black for that softer look! Then using the Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red Watercolor Pencils, I colored that crazy chicken! I used the Blender Pens to blend the colors together! I attached this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little pop! To finish it off, I added a few Pumpkin Pie Enamel Shapes.

Crazy Chicken, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love the coloring blocking and the use of Designer Series Paper on this card! I need to keep this style in mind for future cards too! 🙂 Do you like to reuse a certain card style with lots of different card types and stamp sets?? Let me know in the comments below!

I think I can! I think I Can!

I think I can, www.LaurasStampPad.com

How adorable is this card?!?!?! First of all, it screams little boy but it screams so much more too! I Think I Can….I Knew You Could is perfect for a graduate, getting a job, getting a promotion, doing well in sports, for a child getting a report card, and so much more!!! It’s so adorable and simple and that’s why I love it so much!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base and layered on a piece of the Carried Away Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″). There are so many fun prints that it is hard to pick one! For the greeting, I die cut one of the squares from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. These have been my go-to ever since I got them! I love that little extra flare on the edge! Next, I stamped the greeting from the Designer Tee Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. Super cute set and while it coordinates with the Custom Tee Bundle in the Occasions Mini Catalog, it’s super fun alone too! The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy Ink and added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally to add a little extra flare and texture, I placed a few White Perfect Accents randomly on the card!

Have It Eat It Do It All, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I mixed it up a little and created another fabulous card. This time I used a different greeting from the same set! It is super fabulous still and fits the same square! I centered this greeting rather than off to the side. Next I added loops of the Metallic Gold Thread to the back of it! I love the added texture those simple loops create! You can see it better here!

Metallic Gold Loops, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Which one is your favorite – the White Accents or the Metallic Loops?? Let me know in the comments below!

Don’t forget there is still time to get your FREE Sale-A-Bration items with every $50 order! You can get the adorable I Think I Can set (Designer Tee) and the Carried Away Designer Series Paper!! Falling In Love Suite!!!

Posted on

Falling In Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m falling in love with the Falling In Love Suite from the Occasions Mini Catalog! The Designer Paper, bling-y embellishments, stamps and framelits!!! I typically don’t care for the little embellishments but when I saw these in person, I was blown away. They are just so beautiful! Let’s get started on this beauty!

I started with a Soft Sky card base and added a piece of Falling In Love Designer Series Paper to the front! Using the flowers from the So In Love Stamp Set, I stamped a few onto the designer paper. I used Soft Sky Ink. This gives a fun little texture and pattern to the background! Next, I die cut the little belly band in Very Vanilla with the So Detailed Thinlit Dies. Technically, this piece is for a belly band to slide onto the card but I used just the front portion. I simply cut off the little tabs and adhered it to the card front. Using the coordinating So In Love Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting in the center of the belly band.

Detailed Jewels, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I finished off the card with a bow using the 1/4″ Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon. It was adhered to the card using Mini Glue Dots!!! For the little bling, I tied some Metallic Gold Thread around it and then around one of the loops on the belly band. That little Falling In Love Embellishment is just so beautiful! It is rather chunky and might not go through the mail very well but it’s fabulous! I love it!!!

You can purchase the So In Love Bundle (stamp set and thinlits) and save 10%!!! Click here for the set in clear! Click here for the set in wood! As if save 10% wasn’t enough, you can pick out a FREE Sale-A-Bration item when you get the wood bundle and if you add another item for $2.50 or more to the clear bundle! In fast, just get that amazing Falling In Love Designer Paper or Embellishments. Woot Woot! How amazing!!!! Don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st and the items are while supplies last so get them before they are gone!

Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!!!

Coloring Flowers to Highlight the Pattern!!!

Posted on

Coloring Flowers to Highlight, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I have really started to love coloring especially when you don’t have to color all of it! Coloring flowers to highlight the pattern like I did in this sample is just as powerful! It makes the flowers pop and the background of black and white is fabulous too! Less coloring means more time to make multiples!!! 🙂

I started with a piece of Melon Mambo for my card base. Then I cut each piece of the Inside the Lines Sale-A-Bration Designer Paper into 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ squares. I punched opposite corners with the Corner Rounder Punch for some added texture. Next, I colored the flowers to highlight the pattern with the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. You really don’t have to use the Blender Pens. If you like the pencil look or if you want the image to stay bold and dark (if you press hard), just color and stop there! Once all of the pieces were colored, I layered the squares onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Next, I added this piece to a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the greeting at the bottom in Melon Mambo Ink from the Designer Tee Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. Finally, this was then layered onto the Melon Mambo card base and I finished it off with some Brights Enamel Shapes (melon mambo and old olive).

If you would like to see this all in action, check out the video tutorial below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss out on future videos! I post every Tuesday and Thursday!

Do you like to color? Does it overwhelm you? Have you selected the Inside the Lines Designer Paper as one of your FREE Sale-A-Bration items? Let me know in the comments below!!! Also, don’t forget that as we come to the end of Sale-A-Bration, the items will run out so don’t wait till the last minute. The Card Tin is already gone!

Something You Always Should Have On Hand!!!

Posted on

You Always Should Have On Hand, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Sympathy and Thinking of You cards aren’t always what I think to create but they are ones that you always should have on hand. These are the cards that you can’t always plan for like Birthdays so it’s always good to have a few on hand for when you need one. I really like sending out Thinking of You cards. I send them out when someone is nervous about a project at work, dealing with a lot of craziness in life, or just because to brighten their day! You can also use thinking of you cards for sympathy as well.

This card is quick and simple and easy to whip up lots of them in no time at all. I started with a Very Vanilla card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. I cut a piece of Sweet Sugarplum (4″ x 4″) and layered on some Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″). That is layered and placed near the top of the card. Next, I stamped the greeting from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum Ink. Another great set that I like to use is the Thoughts & Prayers Stamp Set. To finish off the card, I added some ribbon around the card. This is why I went with the 4-1/4″ x 11 card base!!! I used the Metallic Gold Ribbon which comes in the Sale-A-Bration Ribbon Pack with Metallic Silver Ribbon. You can pick this as one of the free items when you order $50!

I created 9 of these cards in no time at all with just that 1 sheet of the Falling In Love Designer Paper! You can see a few other samples using this card style here and here! I love One Sheet Wonders because I never want to waste my Designer Series Paper. Also, when making multiples with one sheet of paper, you can mix and match and use both sides. This takes the stress out of it and wondering which side you are going to glue down! 🙂 Let me know your favorite in the comments below!

Succulent Gardens!!!

Posted on
Succulent Gardens, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Succulent Gardens are all the rage right now and I am on that same train!!! Woot Woot!!! You all know I love flowers as it is but succulents are these cute little things that are just so precious! My Mom got me one for Christmas and so far it is still alive and cute as ever! Here’s hoping I can continue to keep it alive! 🙂

Now let’s get started on this beautiful card! You may have noticed that you can’t see the Old Olive on the front panel! I created this card in a fun way! I started with an Old Olive base measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Then I took a piece of Sweet Sugarplum measuring 4″ x 10-1/2″ and folded it in half like a card. I adhered this to the middle of the Old Olive base. This gives a fabulous little backing but a fun card base. You could always do this with a black base but a white card that you can write inside! You could do this with any card!

Now to decorate it, I used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper. I put a strip along the left side measuring 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″. Then I layered another piece measuring 2-1/2″ x 3″. For the main point, I took a piece of Tip Top Taupe measuring 3-3/4″ x 2-1/4 and layered on a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-1/2″ x 2″. Before adhering it to the taupe, be sure to stamp the greeting from the Oh So Succulent Stamp Set in Tip Top Taupe Ink. It’s always best to stamp before assembling so you can flip it over if you make a mistake. I love that there are 2 sides to every piece of cardstock! 🙂

Next, I tied some of the Succulent Garden Ribbon Combo Pack around the cardstock. This ribbon is like soft and fuzzy. It’s a fun texture! For the flowers, I stamped them from the Oh So Succulent Stamp Set and die cut them out with the coordinating Succulent Framelits. You can bundle and save 10% when you purchase these two products together – click here to get the bundle! I did the large flower in Sweet Sugarplum and the small flower in Mint Macaron. The greenery pieces were done in Old Olive. I added the greenery flat to the cardstock and popped up the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Love it!!!

It was super easy to create this card and pick the colors because I just used the ones listed in the designer paper! The entire Succulent Suite is beautiful and goes together so well! You can see another sample here! When you purchase the bundle and save 10% as well as the coordinating Succulent Gardens Designer Paper, you can pick out a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!! Saving 10% and getting a free item is super fabulous! I love Sale-A-Bration time!!! Stock up on your favorite goodies before it ends on March 31st!!
