Christmas Gift Tags!!!

Posted on

Is it all about the gift or the gift packaging?!?! For my regular presents, I don’t tend to add a decorated tag. In fact, I usually write the name in the fold on the end and have no tag. BUT I love to create fun Christmas Gift Tags for neighbor gifts and teacher gifts!

Christmas Gift Tags Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Stampin’ Up! Christmas Gifting Kit is super cute and simple. It makes 3 each of these 3 tags and there are tons of supplies leftover. These tags have a little pocket on the backside. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what that pocket is for. Is it for money? A Gift Card? Seems a little small for a gift card. Thoughts?!?!

Christmas Gifting Kit Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

My favorite thing about these tags is the whole peek-a-boo look with the die cut tree, star, and deer and then the printed pocket tag in the bag peeking through. I love it! BONUS: Those die cut images can then be used for additional tags.

Alternative Christmas Gifting Kit Options, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look what I created with the leftover pieces and some Basic White Cardstock. I used the Very Best Trio Punch for some added detail and a slot for the ribbon! How amazing is that?!?! So the Christmas Gifting Kit creates 9 tags but I easily created an additional 9! Woot Woot!

All the Fall Colors!!!

Posted on

The Fall colors this year are just stunning. Those shades of yellow and green into oranges and then the POP of red! I love it all!!! Here I did a little Fall coloring with Blending Brushes!

Ombre Fall Colors with Blending Brushes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

First, start with the lightest color and blend the Crushed Curry on the bottom and up about 1/2 way. Next, take Pumpkin Pie and blend in the middle. Work you way down into the Crushed Curry and up about 3/4 of the way! Finally, using Cajun Craze blend from the edge into the Pumpkin Pie. TIP: Always start your blending brush off of your project and then slide onto it. Work in a circular motion

Fall Leaves Thinking of You Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Once you have the background complete, simply stamp an image over the top in Memento Black Ink! I used a few leaves and a greeting on the bottom! You could always add in some acorns and different types of leaves. You could also do this same design with other colors and stamp flowers, animals, party hats, etc. This card design is perfect for all year long and any occasion!

If you would like to see this Fall Colors Blending Technique in action, check out my video tutorial below!

September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Posted on

The September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit has me all ready to go for Halloween! Since it’s not my favorite holiday, I love how this kit takes care of all of my needs with some stamps to use for a few cards and treats to make for family. Always shooting for Auntie of the Year! 🙂

September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my favorite because it was the easiest! LOL Just being honest! Plus I am really loving purple for Halloween. It’s a nice change and I love purple! TIP: Watch this video to figure out how to create the boxes for this kit. They are not really boxes but drawers that slide into the decorated sleeve. Once I figured that out, it was super easy from there on!

Halloween Treat Boxes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one was my second favorite….although I’m not so sure about the plaid! It’s so many colors and kinda weird. I always think of plaid as like blues, greens, and reds! Apparently I need to branch out more! LOL

Spooky Spider Treat Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This treat box is super cute but it was a bit of a pain. Trying to add adhesive dots on that spider web so it would hold on was a bit tedious. Just saying. LOL I do love the look though! Which one is your favorite?!?! Let me know in the comments below!

Don’t forget that you can sign up for Paper Pumpkin and join in the fun by clicking here! Also, Paper Pumpkin makes really good gifts too because it is all inclusive! I love it!!!

Did you love the September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit?! Did you make treat boxes or cut up the pieces for making cards?!?

Halloween One Sheet Wonder!

Posted on

I’m not a huge Halloween fan but I do like to make a few cards to send to family. This Halloween One Sheet Wonder is perfect for creating just enough cards and using every inch of the Designer Paper!

Halloween One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I added Glimmer Washi Tape in every other strip of the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper for a fabulus background! Add the Washi Tape to the full sheet of 12″ x 12″ and then cut it into 4″ x 12″ strips. Then take each strip and cut it into 2 pieces measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then cut the leftover piece in half to use as a decoration on the inside of the card! BAM Used every inch of the paper – One Sheet Wonder!

Halloween Spiders Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The greeting and spider stamp are from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit! Since I’m not a huge fan of Halloween I like to use the Paper Pumpkin stamps rather than purchasing another Halloween Set! I hope you try out this Halloween One Sheet Wonder so you can whip up some cute cards to send out this month!

Rustic Harvest!!!

Posted on

I am still a bit surprised it is September already. Harvest hasn’t officially started yet at least with my family farm so I think that is why! It seems that begins later and later each year. When I was kid, it always started at my birthday which is the end of August! Either way Fall is here as the temps are dropping and the leaves are changing so I have started playing with the Rustic Harvest Suite!

Rustic Harvest Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is one of the cards that we will be creating for the September Online Card Class. There is a total of 5 cards all using the Rustic Harvest Suite from the July – December Mini Catalog! The detail in the pumpkins and that fun floral piece are what makes me love this Suite! I used lots of Linen Thread on this class too! It’s just the perfect thing for a rustic Fall look, don’t you think?!?! Be sure to get signed up for this class here!

September Online Card Class!

Fall Pumpkins September Online Card Class, www.LaurasStampPad.com

One of my other favorite things about the Hello Harvest Stamp Set is the fun little images like the line and dots image above. How cute and fun is that to decorate the inside of the card, the envelope, or even the border on the front of the card!?!? It’s so simple and easy but adds so much to the project. Also, if you are thinking…ohhhh how do I get it straight or I would mess that up…..STOP right there. I thought those same things but just went for it and yes it is off but it also doesn’t matter. It looks fabulous and it’s not noticable. BONUS! I love images like that!

Remember that you can watch the Online Card Class for FREE on YouTube or Facebook LIVE on Friday, September 23rd at 7:30 p.m. CT. If you would like to stamp along you can always purchase the PDF Tutorial and/or the pre-cut card packet! Click here for all of the detail and how to get signed up! See you there for the Rustic Harvest Online Stamp Class!

Stampin’ Up BackStage!!!

Posted on

It’s been 2 weeks since we got home from New Orleans for Stampin’ Up BackStage and I’m still in awe of the amaziness! Stampin’ Up! ended the event with a traditional Second Line Parade through the streets just for us! It was so FABULOUS!!!

Stampin' Up BackStage, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This event was for leaders and while we didn’t do any stamping, we still had so much fun! Brad and I drove down on Thursday! Yes, it is 10 hours but really it wasn’t that bad. As parents of 2 children, it was actually really nice to just sit in a car and do nothing for that long without listening to children. LOL We listened to a book and taked a lot! Okay, if you know us, you know I talked the most! 🙂

Thursday night started with Sweets and Swaps where I swapped 50 cards that I created all the same! In return I got 50 different cards from demonstrators all over the world! YEP! Some from the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Canada, and more! We had fabulous entertainment and lots and lots of sweets!

Day 2 of BackStage in New Orleans!

Friday morning, Brad and I enjoyed our first beignets at Cafe Beignet right across the street. Um……they were amazing but not what I expected and very heavy. They smell like funnel cakes but they are more dense. It’s almost like a dinner roll meets croissant meets powdered sugar. SO MUCH POWDERED SUGAR! I headed off to General Session and Classes for the day while Brad headed to the WWII Museum. We both were blown away! That evening Brad and I got to walk the streets hand in hand and check out New Orleans!

Day 3 of BackStage in New Orleans!

Saturday morning, Brad and I had breakfast at The Ruby Slipper. It was fabulous! Then I was off to more classes and General Session. Brad went to the Jazz Museum and ventured around! We got to enjoy dinner together and tell about our days. Then the final party……AMAZING! We walked in and got a boa, mask, and umbrella to dress the part! A little while later a band came walking into the room and walking around. We gathered behind them and followed…..down 2 escalators and out the front door of the hotel. We were greeted by a blocked off street, dancers, and a bigger band and off we went. It was so cool! There were times I felt so moved by the music and taking it all in, I could have cried. I have a video of some of it just to give you a taste of what it was like! Click here! We got back to the hotel and enjoyed so much New Orleans style food!

Thank you so much to Stampin’ Up for the amazing trip for Stampin’ Up BackStage and getting Brad and I out of the house! It was exactly what we needed! I can’t say New Orleans is a city I care to visit again but it was a fun experience! Can’t wait for the new adventure with Stampin’ Up! If you would like to join in the fun! August Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

The August Paper Pumpkin Kit is probably my favorite kit in the past few years. I LOVED all 3 cards and thought that were super fun and easy to create!!! Like really loved each card!

August Paper Pumpkin Kit 2022, Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look at how amazing these cards are! You all know how much I love flowers already but this watercolor, wild flower look is just fabulous! Add in a few bumblebees and a fabulous greeting and I’m in love!

Sunflower Paper Pumpkin Card Kit, www.LlaurasStampPad.com

I don’t even know that I can pick my favorite so I’m just going to post each photo! One of my tips for this card is to make sure you test out your spacing with the greeting before adhering it down. On my first card, I just placed the greeting down and then realized my sunflower was off to the left rather far.

Bumblebees and Wildflowers Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, just note that you don’t have to add adhesive to the outside edge where there isn’t much room to add the adhesive. Simply add adhesive to that center rectangle and you will be golden! Thank goodness! Am I right?!? LOL

At Home Greeting Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Can you see the little vellum honeycomb in these cards?! It is very subtle but adds some fun texture to the cards. I will say that it much easier to notice in person than in a photo! Don’t stress about the adhesive on these small pieces. Simply add some adhesive to the card, press the vellum in and add the layers over the top which will help secure it. Easy and fabulous for sure!!!
