Quick Thinking of You Card!!!

Posted on

Sometimes I like to really go all out on a card and other times I like quick and simple. That might be because of lack of time or a lack of creativity. Surely I’m not alone here. There are times I sit down to stamp and I got nothing. It is a struggle and I question everything. Then there are times I sit down and I can’t stamp/create fast enough. Try this with that and oh oh oh what about this. Have you had those days?? Let me know in the comments below! Today, I’m sharing this quick thinking of you card that I created on a blah day! Still nailed it I think! 🙂

Quick Thinking of You Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Of course it is fabulous, I used the amazing Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper!!! It is so beautiful!

I started with a Whisper White card base which means I don’t need to insert a white piece on the inside for writing on. Woot Woot! Next, I stamped the filigree image from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on either ends in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then I added a 4″ x 4″ square of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper in the middle. Using a piece of this size means that you can get 9 of these cards from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper with no waste!

For the greeting, I used the Everyday Label Punch and the NEW Timeless Label Punch!!! Stamping the greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on Whisper White and layering it onto Petal Pink. Before adding it to the card front, I added a small strip of the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. Then I added the greeting on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Get through this together, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I stamped another greeting from the same set in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then I stamped one of the flowers in Petal Pink! Just perfect! Also, is this greeting not the most fabulous thing ever?? I love it!

NEW Stamp Cleaning Pad Review!!!

Posted on

The New Catalog that came out last week and that means there are new products to try out!! Today, I’m sharing my honest review of the New Stamp Cleaning Pad. It sounds super interesting so I had to get it. It cleans Photopolymer Stamps!!! Woot Woot!

New Stamp Cleaning Pad Review, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So I bought this little Stamp Cleaning Pad to see what it was all about. It arrives all white/cream and clean. We all know that won’t last long….but it is okay! After all if the Stamp Cleaning Pad is clean, your stamps probably aren’t. 🙂 Am I right?

So the instructions say to clean the excess ink off of the stamp and then rub it onto the pad! I went all in and tried it out with a new photopolymer stamp and Melon Mambo Ink. Stamped onto some paper and then wiped it off on the Simply Shammy like I normally would! Of course the stamp still has a pink look to it because that’s what pinks and reds do! I lightly rubbed it on the new Cleaning Pad and pink everywhere. The Stamp Cleaning Pad is no longer clean and perfect and I panicked a bit. BUT the stamp was clean. I was super impressed. There is still a hint of pink here and there but the stamp is clear again! As long as the stamp looks fairly clean and not neon pink after 5 stamping sessions, I’m sold!

No More Pink Ink, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Check that out??? The right side has been cleaned and the left has not!!!

The Stamp Cleaning Pad does leave the stamp a bit wet with the solution so I just wiped it again on the Shammy as the final cleaning! I’m impressed and love it. Now I won’t be going through all of my stamps to clean them from the past but going forward I will!

Click here to get your Stamp Cleaning Pad so you can stamp in Pink with no fear of stained stamps! There is also a Refill Solution to add to it. I haven’t needed any yet but I’m guessing after many, many, MANY cleaning sessions, it will sort of dry up?!?! Then adding the solution back will make it fabulous again!

If you would like to see all of this in action of the New Stamp Cleaning Pad, check out the video below or click here! Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. May 2019 Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

Today is the last day to sign up for the June 2019 Paper Pumpkin! Click here to sign up for that. Sneak Peak details for that kit are that there will be
16 fun-sized, beach-themed cards and envelopes. But wait that isn’t all, there is also an exclusive carrying case! Of course, the exclusive stamp set and ink spot too! Now before we get too excited for June, let me share with you the May 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit!

May 2019 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card set is probably my favorite!!! You all know I love pink and flowers so it shouldn’t be a surprise! For these cards, the instructions actually have you stamp the dots around the flowers. You can see in the far left card, I forgot to do that. Ops! For the second card, I went ahead and did it like the instructions even though rustic/dirty/worn is not really my look. I stamped it and compared the 2 and you know what, I liked it!!! It just looks fabulous! Paper Pumpkin is perfect for making me stamp outside my normal range! I love that!

Birds of a Feather, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I struggled a bit on getting things lined up but over all I think they look great and no one else would notice but me. First, I stamped all of the birds on the card base. Then I realized that I stamped the bottom right bird a bit low so I had to move my greeting. You can see in the middle card, I ended up covering up the birdie. Also, be sure to stamp your greeting high enough that the twine can run along the bottom of the greeting tag.

Eggs in a Nest, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card also has fabulous little speckles along the bottom of the card base. It really gives a fun messy look especially since my loops are fun and messy too. I stamped all the greetings on my tags before ever getting started and I think that was a bit of mistake. For this card, I feel like the greeting is a bit too high but again I am probably the only one to notice. It’s just being nit-picky!

Thank You Dear Friend, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving the blue flowers and that twine behind them. The look is just fabulous! My tip for these cards is to make sure your velvet ribbon is lined up in the center. If it is not, when you go to place the tag down, the points are off on the velvet ribbon and then the “uncentered-ness” stands out a bit more.

Overall, I loved the Shelli Kit….and the floral box!!! So many cards that I can add to my collection and even more goodies leftover to use for another project. I love that the cards pushed me outside my normal stamping comfort zone too!

Can’t wait to see the June Kit! Today is the last day to sign up so click here to do that NOW! Check out past kits here!

The New In-Colors are Terracotta Tile which is a coral/orange color; almost like a burnt orange. Then there is Purple Posy which is my favorite because it is the perfect light purple to go with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape which I’m loving now. Seaside Spray is a very light blue and Pretty Peacock is a deeper blue green. These 2 go together very well and have that perfect water/nautical look! They are excellent for masculine cards! The last color is Rococo Rose and I just love saying that out loud. Go ahead and say it! This color is like a pinky/mauve color. Which is your favorite??

More Gingham Fun!!!

Posted on

Last week I shared some fabulous cards using the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. Check that out here! Today, I’m sharing more gingham fun! Let me know in the comments which set your favorite is!

More gingham fun, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These cards were created using Grapefruit Grove card bases. Next, I too Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and added a piece of the gingham to the left side measuring 2″ x 4″. The other card uses a piece measuring 5-1/2″ x 2″. The inside uses the leftover pieces. For the triangles, I was left with a 2″ square which I just cut corner to corner. The greetings were stamped from the Well Said Stamp Set! I used the same greetings for both but flip flopped them from one card to the next with which one is on the outside.

Blue & Yellow Gingham, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For 1 of the blue cards and 1 of the yellow cards, I decided to switch it up! I just love blue and yellow together! I used 1″ x 4″ strips and stamped the greeting in between. Using the Butterfly Gala Punch, I punched out 2 Balmy Blue and 2 Daffodil Delight. I added 2 to the front and used the other 2 for the inside decoration! The baby card used the Rectangle Stitched Shapes for all the pieces. The stitched frame is super cute and then I used the inside rectangle for the inside of the card. Adorable!! This style would work for the other colors of gingham too.

Yellow Gingham, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the Daffodil Delight cards, I used one set of the blue! Simple squares for a quick and easy card. The ribbon was colored with the Stampin’ Blends Markers! I recommend maybe using the light marker as it seems the dark marker was a bit too dark. That is all personal preference though! For the top card, I used the Banner Triple Punch and Layering Circles Framelits!!! The Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins made for the perfect finishing touch!

I had so much fun creating all 10 of these cards using the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper!!! Tons of all occasion cards to have on hand. The Well Said Stamp Set was the perfect set for inside and outside greetings! I love it! Click the supplies below to make some of your own! So much more gingham fun!!!

Only a Few Days Left…

There are only a few days left to shop the Retiring Products. On June 3rd at midnight, they will be gone in preparation of the New 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Catalog coming on June 4th!

Only A Few Days Left, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The best way to see everything that is retiring and still available is to look here! This is the most current list of available products. It also has a photo with the item number and name for a better idea of what the product is.

Some of my favorites that are retiring are Lovely As A Tree which has been a stamp set since before I started. You can check out some samples using this set here and here! The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper stack has been super popular and I love it too!!! I have created so many cards using it which you can check out here! Another item that I am sad to see go but plan on keeping in my craft room is the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch! I do love my Layering Circles Framelits and the storage for them is smaller than a whole bunch of punches. I like the punches for the ease of just grabbing, punching, and creating though! Any one else agree??? So get these goodies before they are gone. There are only a few days left!

A few notes about the New Catalog coming on June 4th! Ordering will not be available till Noon as Stampin’ Up changes up the website to bring in the new products! All orders of $40 or more will earn Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers. Also, orders of $75 or more will earn my Free Stamp Set of the Month! Woot Woot!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you back here on Monday!!! Happy Stampin’

Come Sail Away Designer Paper!!!

Posted on

Are you singing the song?? Come Sail Away, Come Sail Away, Come Sail Away with me!!! No? Just me? Let me know in the comments if you were singing along with me! Today, I’m sharing the Come Sail Away Designer Paper!!!

Come Sail Away Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This paper scream masculine to me! I struggle with man cards too so I am hoping this inspires me. I’m always looking for great ideas to create some fabulous man cards! It is super nautical themed and I will admit that’s not really my thing. Living here in Illinois, I just don’t feel like it fits since we are miles from the beach and sail boats. BUT there are lots of great patterns that aren’t so nautical in this set too so I still love this paper pack! There is a whole suite of products to coordinate with this as well!!!

Did you see the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper that was posted on Tuesday??? Click here to check that out! You can also check out others I posted last week here and here!
