Happy May! It’s another month and we are still stuck at home! I get it! The struggle is real! My biggest struggle is people! I miss family, friends, strangers, anyone! HUGS! Until, then I shall make these cards and send lots of happy mail!

Struggle is real, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These are some quick and simple cards that I created recently on a Facebook Live that I did. During this “stay at home” time, I have been doing Daily Dose of Stampin Therapy each weekday to stay connected to all of you. It’s a fun little time where we chat, stamp, and laugh together! Click here to join in the fun! If you don’t have Facebook, I’m also posting the videos to my YouTube Channel too!

These cards were made with the retiring In Colors and coordinating In Color Designer Series Paper which is already sold out! I then just added a greeting and embellished. Simple and fabulous!

I'm here for you, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The stamp set that I used for these cards is the Artfully Aware Stamp Set. That set is also retiring so grab it now before it is gone!

Cutting For Cards!!!

Posted on

Today, I’m sharing another one of Laura’s Quick Tips! This one is all about cutting for cards! I feel like I needed to share this forever ago since it’s the first step in card making! So here we go….

Cutting For Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

A few things that I use for cutting for my cards are the Stampin’ Up Stampin’ Trimmer and a ruler! I use the Stampin’ Trimmer to get that nice smooth straight cut. A regular medium sized card is just a piece of cardstock cut in half either way. You can cut at 4-1/4″ along the 8-1/2″ side or cut at 5-1/2″ along the 11″ side. This will create a 4-1/4″ x 11 card base to fold in half or a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base cut in half. The majority of my card layers are done in 1/4″ increments. So I would layer on a piece of cardstock or designer paper on the front measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ which is a 1/4″ in from the card base. Eighth of an inch is just too crazy to do all of the time in my opinion!

Another month of staying at home! Now is the time to make sure you are reaching out to friends and family. Send some happy mail and let others know you are thinking of them! Check out this cute “Cow’s It Going” card I made using the retiring stamp set Over the Moon!

Cow's It Going, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Aren’t these the cutest things ever?? I created them on my “Daily Dose of Stampin Therapy” on a Facebook Live! Click here to go check those out!

These are just quick and simple cards using the retiring In-Colors of Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, and Grapefruit Grove. The card bases are 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and the designer paper is 4″ x 5-1/4″! Some of them I added an additional layer of cardstock and then layered designer paper measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″. Then I just stamped and decorated with the Over the Moon Stamp Set!!!

You're Udderly Fantastic, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These cows are just the cutest ever. I colored them with Stampin’ Blends. The cow doing the splits has crazy spots so when I colored that one in black she lost an eye. Check out the cards in the middle in the top photo for my little eye patch cows!

I have now sent all of these Cow’s It Going cards out as Happy Mail to friends and family to spread some happiness during this time of uncertainty. I urge you to do the same. Join me for Stampin’ Therapy on Facebook each week day! Get inspired and make some cards to send out!

Also, don’t forget about the retiring products that are while supplies last! Click here to check those out and start shopping!

Tip for the April Paper Pumpkin Kit!!!

Posted on

I think this is a record for me creating my Paper Pumpkin Kit in the same week it arrived! Woot Woot! Thanks to my “Daily Dose of Stampin’ Therapy” Facebook lives where I enjoy stamping and chatting with all of you! Click here to go join in the fun!! Here is the April Paper Pumpkin Kit!

April Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is the tricky card that had me stumped for a while. Finally I….or should I say with Brad’s help….figured it out!!! It is a Z fold card and originally I thought it should fold where the white and green print meet. I was wrong! The green/white panel is the card base “inside”. Then you fold that middle score line over to create a card. It will be too long and go beyond the card back. Next, fold on the far left score line back towards the front to create the Z fold! I hope that all makes sense. If not, just watch the video below! 🙂

Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The greeting on that back panel is AMAZING! I really had a hard time covering it up because I love it so much. It says, “Life’s greatest blessings begin and end with family. It is in families that we learn to love, teach what is most important, and grow together in love and laughter. Grateful for you, happy to be yours! <3

Paper Pumpkin Monthly Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is the second card that is super fun with the tree! I love those leaves/flower petals! I did find that there are not enough pearls for every yellow dot on each card. BUT I found a fun solution for running out. I was able to take the Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker and color some of my Pearls for the same look! PERFECT!!!

Be sure to sign up for the May Paper Pumpkin Kit to join in the fun and have a great project to do for an afternoon or evening or morning or whenever! These kits come with everything in them so anyone can do it!

Relax & Chinchilla Out!!!

Posted on

This is the adorable card I gave my mom for her retirement. I mean actually I sent her a lot of cards but this one I made specifically for her because I thought it was cute and she would enjoy it! Relax & chinchilla out…it’s the perfect greeting, right?

Relax & Chinchilla Out, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it adorable??? I even stamped a coordinating envelope!

For this card, I started with a Pretty Peacock card base. Next, I layered on some Mango Melody and then some Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper!! Then for the focal point, I die cut out 2 sizes of the Stitched So Sweetly labels! These are so cute and perfect for adding a greeting on your card!

Glittered Chinchilla, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Using the Witty-cisms Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting/image in Memento Black Ink. Then I colored the little chinchilla in with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker. To add a little bling, I colored over him with the Wink of Stella Pen! Then I layered these together and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Retirement Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Witty-cisms Stamp Set. I also added a little strip of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to the left hand side to bring it all together! I love how it turned out and my Mom loved it too!!!

Check out the supplies listed below if you need to make a fun “relax & chinchilla out” retirement card! Don’t forget that the FREE Stamp Set of the Month this month is the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set for order of $75 or more!

Get Them Now!!!

Stampin’ Up’s NEW catalog is coming out in June! That means we need to make room for new stuff by retiring some of the current products!!! These items that are retiring are while supplies last so get them now!!

Get Them Now, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The 2018-2020 In Colors will be retiring in June. These supplies are while supplies last so they could be gone sooner! Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch and Lovely Lipstick are the color names! My favorite is Lovely Lipstick and I’ll be sad to see it go. I just love shades of PINK! If you have the ink pad, be sure to grab an Ink Refill so you can enjoy the color for even longer!!! Grab some coordinating cardstock, ribbon, and other fun embellishments too!

Another tip is that Stampin’ Up retires all of the designer paper in the catalog. There has been a time or 2 where they keep one pack again for another year but otherwise all of them go. Grab your favorites now before they are gone. You can also check out my One Sheet Wonders for great ways to use the paper!

16 Years of Fun!!!

Posted on

Officially my anniversary was yesterday but that’s the weekend so let’s keep the celebration going all week long! After all it’s been 16 Years of Fun so let’s continue on!!!

16 Years of Fun, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Each year that my Stampin’ Up Anniversary comes up, I like to reflect on it all. First off, it’s crazy that I’ve been stamping for 16 years or doing anything that long! The more amazing thing is that I still love it after 16 years. I enjoy the creative aspect even though I really don’t feel that creative. A good copier is what I like to think I am! 🙂

The biggest part of Stampin’ Up that keeps me going is the LOVE!!! Oh geez I may get emotional….good thing this isn’t a video! The people that I meet at stamping events and classes become like family to me. They/You have been there through the ups and downs of my life. They/You are part of my village for raising Claire and let me tell you, this village is amazing! I couldn’t do it without all of you! The smiles, tears, advice, and encouragement that I receive as well as others receive at my stamp classes, clubs, and events is AMAZING! Then there is the love that is mailed out or handed out that puts a smile on someone’s face. I can only hope they cherish that card and feel the love.

Stampin’ Up is not just a hobby or a job for me. It is so much more and I am happy that I jumped in with both feet after 1 workshop I attended. I didn’t order anything that night but took the catalog home. Flipping through it daily and thinking I need it all! Boy did I ever need it all!

So I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you for being a part of my 16 years and making it so special. Here’s to another 16 and more!!! I will have a few specials going on this week so stay tuned!

Today, I’m starting 1 special which is DOUBLE LAURA’S LOYAL STAMPERS STICKERS! Use the Hostess Code: DWN2SQVV when placing your order online or send me your order and mention this offer!!! This offer is valid till Friday, April 24, 2020 at noon!!! Click here to start shopping and earning!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my TOP 16 Favorite Products right now and of course my Daily Dose of Stampin’ Therapy on Facebook each week day! Let’s continue celebrating 16 years of fun!

Die Cutting Rectangles!

Posted on

I have another fabulous one of Laura’s Quick Tips to share with you today! I have received this question a few times lately so I thought I would share it on here too! If one person has it as a question, I’m sure many others do too! Today, I have tips for die cutting rectangles!!!

Die Cutting Rectangles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Many times when die cutting rectangles, squares, or any image with a long straight line and the image doesn’t cut very well. There are also many times it cuts perfectly fine which is a win! 🙂 If you have this happen to you, my tip is to run it through at a diagonal. This allows the die cutting machine to apply pressure on a smaller section with each crank through, rather than hitting a long line at the same time. Also, it is really hard to crank it through when a solid line is going through at once. When you place it in at a diagonal, it goes through smoother and easier which is fabulous!!

To see this all in action, check out the video below or click here. Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. If you would like a notification when I post a new video, be sure to click the bell right next to the subscribe!!!
