Expressions In Color Kit!!!

Posted on

The June 2021 Paper Pumpkin arrived and I was super excited because the box was splattered with pinks and purples! The Expressions In Color Kit included 2 ink spots – Evening Evergreen & Bumblebee which super surprised me. Also, I can’t say this was my favorite kit. Although nothing compares to the April Kit right now! That one was AMAZING!

Expressions In Color Paper Pumpkin Kit June 2021, www.LaurasStampPad.com

My favorite card of all of these is actually the yellow one in the upper left hand corner! I just love how that “greenery” is so foofy and jumps off the card making it look so fabulous! The greeting “sending hugs” warms my heart too!

In all of my crafting, I’ve never really loved vellum. There are times I like it and think I should use it more and then there are times I’m just like….it’s not my thing. Today, it’s not my thing. I feel like the vellum on the green and purple cards isn’t bold and bright enough for me. You know me and my love for bold images and how I break crayons because I press too hard. Welp, this vellum just doesn’t do it for me. What about you? Do you love vellum?

Still a fun kit and cards added to my collection! Can’t wait to see what the July Kit is going to be. Click here to join the Paper Pumpkin fun and get signed up!

May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit!!!

Finally I’m back on my routine…..a bit! I never got a chance to complete the March and April Paper Pumpkin kits and post them. Stay tuned as I hope to get them completed soon because I need cards! The month the May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived and I opened it and assembled it all in one sitting! You can check out the video of that here!

May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Kit contained supplies for 9 cards – 3 each of 3 designs and this one is my favorite. I love pinstripe baseball pants. There is just something about them that makes them so cute! So I made one for Brad for Father’s Day since it’s my favorite. The other 2 will probably be used as birthday cards for some of my baseball fan family members!

Baseball Greeting Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This set was super simple and fun! I did one with Dad on it and one of the 3rd set with Dad on it so Brad and I can use them for our Dad’s on Father’s Day! As for the other 2, probably more birthday cards for boys! Not that a girl couldn’t get one of these cards but I struggle with masculine cards so I need all the ones I can get. Thank you Paper Pumpkin!

These are super cute and probably my 2nd favorite! I have 1 Brother so I plan to use this card for his Father’s Day card! It’s perfect and fun! The little red and yellow dots really make these cards pop more and give great texture! I love it!

June Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Be sure to sign up for the June Paper Pumpkin Kit which includes not one but TWO ink spots! Woot Woot! Also, these beautiful colors are enough to make my heart jump! Paper Pumpkin is a great activity to do with the kids this summer too! Sign up and try it out for a month or more! Click here to get your June fun!!!

February 2021 Paper Pumpkin!

The February 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit was super simple and fabulous! I totally messed up on a few of mine but I still love the way they turned out! Which one is your favorite??

February 2021 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

My favorite one is the bouquet card. The colors, the flowers, and that sweet greeting are just amazing! This is a greeting I can see me using on future cards as well! I will say I’m not so sure black sequins was the correct look for these cards but……I can use them on another project since I have a lot leftover!

Monthly Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Thinking of You card is my second favorite! I love that gold vellum. For the first card, I added adhesive all around the edge under the gold foil but I could still see it through. On the other 2 cards, I added adhesive on opposite corners (under the flowers) and a small day on the other 2 corners. This was more subtle and looked much better!

Thinking of You Stampin' Up Greeting Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is my least favorite and I realized I totally forgot the twine which makes it super simple and a little plain. The gold foil is stunning so really it does so much for this card and I still like it but it is plain! I don’t know what I was thinking to not add the twine. The black sequins seemed a little “dark” for the card.

Homemade Sympathy Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I just love Paper Pumpkin kits because they are always keeping my card stash full with cards for every occasion! The color combinations inspire me and give me ideas! I also enjoy just creating for fun without coming up with the idea and having to cut everything for it! It’s perfect!!! If you liked this February 2021 Paper Pumpkin and would like to try out it out for a month or more, click here to sign up for the March Kit before the 10th!

January 2021 Paper Pumpkin!!!

The January 2021 Paper Pumpkin was different this year and I think I love it!!! Normally the January Kit is Valentine’s Day treat box/bags which I do love because then I have goodies for my nieces and nephews. I do know that many of my customers don’t always care for the treat bags/boxes though. This year Stampin’ Up! created a regular Valentine’s/Love kit with cards but then offered a Little Love Add-On Kit that coordinated and contains treat boxes! PERFECT!!!!

January 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay so that little mailbox is THE cutest thing ever! I just love it for #happymail cards. By the way, I’m behind on sending those and really need to send more out like NOW! The other card I will be using more for Valentine’s Day cards!

#happymail cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I wasn’t so sure I liked the look of tying a bow and putting the greeting over it (right side) so I tried the loops. Nope, that looks too messy in my opinion so I went back to the bow look like the instructions say! Also, that little enamel heart on the envelope is just the CUTEST!

Monthly Card Making Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For these cards, the instructions showed the bow on the right but it’s sideways and so I did just a knot on the rest of mine. Plus I know you all prefer to make knots than bows. Let me know in the comments below whether you prefer the knot or the bow!!!

I’ll be sure to share the Valentine’s Treat Boxes I’m making with the Little Love Add On Kit once they are complete! If you would like to get these little treat boxes to coordinate with your Paper Pumpkin Kit, click the image below!

If you liked this January 2021 Paper Pumpkin and want to try it out, be sure to sign up for the February Paper Pumpkin Kit by February 10th by clicking here! Try it out for a month or longer! It’s all up to you! The February Kit will contain full sized cards and the theme is Bouquet of Hope!

I love these cards because they are cute and perfect for what I need right now. I went with a few for kid’s birthday cards in my stash as well as a few generic so I can send as random #happymail. It’s always fun to send a card just because and that teddy bear is adorable!!!

At Home Card Kit, www.LaurasStamppad.com

It’s super cute that these cards have die cuts (bears and koalas) which have pop outs to tuck the item they are holding in. It really makes it look like they are holding it and gives it depth! PRECIOUS! I love the December 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit!

October 2020 Paper Pumpkin!!

The October 2020 Paper Pumpkin was STUNNING! The color combination of Cherry Cobbler and Just Jade is amazing and I never would have thought to put those colors together! I love it!

October 2020 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now I have 8 more Christmas cards in my stash which is another bonus that Paper Pumpkin provides. Woot Woot! I just love these looks!

Craft Kit for Christmas Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Of course my favorite card is the flower one!!! I put my flowers farther apart than the photo on the flyer was showing because I love flowers and wanted to really show them off! For the loops, wrap the twine around your fingers and then slide the loops off and twist to a figure 8. Then place the figure 8 on the back of the greeting and secure it with Stampin’ Dimensionals! Here is a little video tutorial on that if you are a visual person like me!

Paper Pumpkin Monthly Craft Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is beautiful but a little more tricky. I messed up the first one I did. You can see all of that fun here! If you are doing Joy to the World, make sure your joy is up high and not down low on the wreath so there is room for the label with “To The World”. Also, I suggest having fun with the ribbon and put it in different spots, just add a little bow, wrap it around multiple times, etc.

Love, Peace, & Joy Christmas Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Just have fun with it!!! That’s what I like about Paper Pumpkin! It is all put together for me but yet I can also do my own thing!!! If you want to try out Paper Pumpkin for a month or more, click here! If you want to see past kits, check them out here!

Paper Pumpkin is also a great gift option. It comes with everything to create the project except scissors and it fits all ages!!! My nieces love it and they have gotten it since they were 6 and 8. Gift a Paper Pumpkin Subscription by clicking here!

Trick or Treat Halloween 2020, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m just so excited to be all set and done when October just started!! These little cracker boxes are cute and different! They fit just enough candy to enjoy but not break the bank. I fit M&M packs, Snickers, and Twix in mine!

September 2020 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There was SOOOO MUCH goodie and decoration in this kit that I could have made a million of these. Here are a few of the different samples I created with the cat, hat, pumpkins, flowers, and leaves!!! The amount of goodie left over is INSANE too so I can make some fabulous Fall cards for those that I would like to send #HappyMail this month but not candy! 🙂

August 2020 Paper Pumpkin!

The August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit was called World’s Greatest and that it is! I love the blue and yellow color combination and that spark of gold foil!! Check it out!

August 2020 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my favorite. I just love the cute little stars shaking around and that blue ribbon is so pretty with the gold accents! It was really easy to put together too! I did create one of the ribbons with the blue banners too far apart and it looks a bit silly but I perfected it with the other two!

World's Greatest Card Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is my second favorite because I’m just in awe at how real the medal looks! It is super cool! The vellum flowers/greenery give great texture and elegance to the card too! The elegance isn’t like girlie but more like a well done awards ceremony!

August 2020 Craft Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Teachers right now are true heroes….parents are too!!! We are in a crazy time and trying to figure it all, do what is best, and juggle all the new things is just mind boggling! Here’s to them! I did 2 of them as teacher and the last one as Friend! All of the gold stars were put on with the Fine Tip Glue Pen because it was just easier than the glue dots!

Which one is your favorite from the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit? Let me know in the comments below! If you love Halloween, you need to sign up for the September Paper Pumpkin Kit! It will be Fall/Halloween themed cracker style boxes! July 2020 Paper Pumpkin!!!

The July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit turned out to be even better than I expected. I was excited about the colors and the little bags but check this out!!!

July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It was so hard to pick my favorite one to show off first. I went with this one because I LOVE that greeting. I added the Ferris Wheel and rides to the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it depth and look more real. Boy does it ever!!! Since I did that, I adhered the greeting flat. Simple and so much fun!!!

Lightening Bugs and Summertime, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one would be my second favorite I think! That greeting is super fabulous but I can’t stop singing the song. I did my cards a bit different (on accident) and have fireworks in the background rather than a glow for the lightening bugs! Those vellum jars with gold foil trim are amazing though!

Chinese Lanterns, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So I did the first card on the left and wasn’t a fan of leaving the ribbon/string from the lanterns just hanging off. Then I decided to adhere the strings to the back of the card and add it to a card base to hide that. I am really LOVING how that turned out. The Whisper White card base really makes the card POP and I love it!!!

There are so many extras from this kit I decided to make a few more with some Whisper White card bases and Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. LOVE IT!!! This also only used a small amount of the leftovers. I could probably make 20 more.

Fireworks & Lanterns at Summertime, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These bags are so stinking cute. So, I decided to make a few as treat bags by stamping the fireworks on the front and adding a piece of cardstock to the inside to pop through! I played with Night of Navy, Real Red, and Silver Foil Paper. I LOVE THEM!!! The kit came with more but I am saving some of the bags to use with a light in them. So many ideas and possibilities.

I hope you enjoyed the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit! Be sure to sign up for the August Paper Pumpkin which is medals, trophies, masculine, and everyday heros!!! I can’t wait to see it! Click here to sign up and enjoy the fun for a month or 2 months or however long you want.
