Perfect Pennants!!!!

Perfect Pennants, www.LaurasStampPad.comI love the greetings in the the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set AND there is a heart and star which makes it even better! Here are a few samples I created using the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and matching Banner Framelits (Bundle it and save 15%!!!) I used Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder, and Pistachio Pudding – perfect pastel color combination!!! Of course, I used my Sponge Daubers to add a little color to the edge of my whisper white cardstock!!! LOVE IT! I couldn’t decide which stamps to use for this card so that is why I made two – one with hearts and one with stars. And then came the greeting tag….add ribbon, add some polka dots, keep it simple. So many options!!! That is what I love about stamping and paper crafting!!! For more samples using this stamp set, click here! Post in the comments below which one you like best!!!

Daydream Medallion Birthday Invitations!!!

Posted on

A friend of mine reached out to me to make invitations for her mother’s 60th Birthday Party! I was so excited to be able to help with this party!! I know that the Mother’s favorite color is Purple and she loved a rustic/vintage look. Here is what I came up with:

Daydream Medallion Invitation, www.LaurasStampPad.com

What do you think?? I think I nailed it on the head!!! I used the Daydream Medallion Stamp Set which has quickly became my go to stamp set. You can check out more samples here and here! LOVE IT! I randomly stamped all over and then added a little more ink with my sponge daubers for the bottom half of the card. Then I die-cut all of the smallest flowers from the Floral Frames Framelits and brushed the edges with Elegant Eggplant ink and my sponge daubers. I brushed the edges of the banners as well. Here are a few of the steps I took when making these.

Remember assembly line is the best way to make multiple cards!

I even stamped a little on the corner of the envelopes to make them match and a decorated envelope in the mail is sooooo exciting to receive! I love how they turned out and the Birthday Girl LOVED them too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sue!!!!!

If you are having a party or wedding and need help with the invitations, programs, party favors, and more let me know and I would love to help you make the perfect party!!!!

Technique Tuesday – Birthday Candle Card

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means – I am sharing a fabulous Technique with you!!!! This card is beyond amazing!!!! It looks fabulous and you use lots of scraps….who doesn’t have a million of those hanging around?

Birthday Candles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Supplies Needed: Basic Black Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, scraps of color cardstock, ribbon, Embossing Folder, Decorative Label Punch and Bird Punch

I cut strips 1/2 inch by 2-3/4 inches in various colors and then ran them all through the Big Shot in an embossing folder. You can pick whichever one you have handy or your favorite. I used the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. I then started placing them on the card. I placed the 2 end candles down and then the middle one and then filled in. This helped me with spacing each of them! I used my Basic Black Marker (pen tip) to make the wicks. Then using So Saffron cardstock, I punched out the wing from the Bird Punch! I brushed the rounded (bottom) part of the flame with my Sponge Daubers and Pumpkin Pie ink. I adhered each of them to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional on the back. Then I took my Dazzling Details (love this because it adds bling without the powder going EVERYWHERE) and added a little to the tips of each of the flames. I did this after assembly so it could be set aside to dry for a bit. The greeting is from the Bring On The Cake stamp set and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. Then I punched another Decorative Label in Basic Black, cut it in half long ways and adhered it to my other punched piece. This gives the perfect little layering affect. LOVE IT! The little red dots bordering my greeting were created with my Real Red Marker….just dot dot dot dot and a million more dots. 🙂 I hope you have enjoyed this technique for making a amazingly adorable card with lots of scraps!!! Try it out yourself and send it to me! I would love to see what you have created!

Rustic and Elegant Weddings!

Posted on

The Wedding Trend for awhile now has been Rustic and Elegant. It seems everyone is doing the burlap, doily, lace, pearls, mason jars, barn theme! Here are a couple samples of cards that I have recently done to help out a friend with her daughter’s wedding!!!

Thank You Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are a few of the items that were made! The cards above were the Thank You cards for the Bride to send out to all of the guests after the wedding! They were quick and simple and kept the theme of the wedding going! And speaking of cards, I created these adorable ring binders for the Bride to keep all of the cards she received together! The one has the last name initial on it and the other one has the initials of the Bride and Groom! I kept the doily, lace, pearl theme with these items too!

Card Holders, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Wedding Invitation, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is the actual Wedding Invitation (well half of it to keep the privacy of the Bride and Groom). The wording was on the right and on the left was this fabulous white doily using the Hello Doily Stamp! It was stamped and then embossed in Whisper White which gave it a fabulous raised texture! This piece of Crumb Cake was also layered on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock but I didn’t get a picture of the final piece.

Bridal Shower Tags, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This adorable tag was used at the Bridal Shower on the little tea cups that everyone got as a favor for coming! Again I kept with the theme and used the Victoria Crochet Trim for a rustic look!

Wedding Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

And last but not least, this is the wedding card that I made! Again I used the Hello Doily Stamp and embossed it. Then I took a sponge dauber (love them) and added a little Chocolate Chip ink around the doily. I really loved how it turned out!

If you are getting married or planning a party and need some help with the invitations, party favors, or more, reach out to me and I can assist you with your crafty side or I can create the item for you! Email me for more information or comment below! Check out more samples here and here!

One Sheet Wonder Part 2

Posted on

Yesterday I shared the One Sheet Wonder Technique with you all! You can check it out here! Here are a few more samples! One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Once I had stamped all of the One Sheet of cardstock with the Daydream Medallion Stamps and cut up the pieces for each card, then I stamped and die-cut the flower pieces for all of the cards with the Floral Frames Framelits. Then I worked on the assembly part! Many of the cards have the added texture and color by brushing Baked Brown Sugar on the edges with a Sponge Dauber! Also, you will notice there are LOTS of banners so I stamped and cut out all of my banner tips too! TIP: When cutting your banner tips, its best to cut up in the middle (of the end of the paper) and then cut from the corner diagonally to that cut. This will make your banner tips equal length. Of course the sample on the right here is off. I made my original greeting banner with the tip above and then assembled that with the ribbon and just cut the Crisp Cantaloupe with an edge. One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love how the card on the left is so simple with the One Sheet Wonder piece on the bottom and some stamping on the card and then ribbon! TIP: Sticky Strip works best with the Ruffled Ribbon because it holds strong! These 3 cards were my favorites!!!

I hope you have enjoyed these cards and this technique!

Technique Tuesday – One Sheet Wonder

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! That means I have a fabulous Technique to share with you! This is a great way to create lots of cards at one time using similar colors and style! You can try it out with lots of different images like flowers, doilies, animals, leaves, & shapes!

One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

One Sheet Wonder Grid, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are 6 of the 8 cards and box that were created with the One Sheet Wonder Technique! That’s right, one 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of stamped cardstocked created 8 cards and a decorated box!!!! I used the Daydream Medallion Stamp Set and stamped all over the sheet of cardstock and even used my sponge daubers to add a little color in between the stamped images to add a little rustic, less bold look! Then I cut the sheet of cardstock into all of the pieces that I need for each of the cards. (See the grid to the left for measurements.) After cutting up all the pieces for each card, I stamped and cut out the images with the Floral Frames Framelits which match this stamp set perfectly! Also, all of the colors used for these cards came from the NEW In-Colors – Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and Pistachio Pudding! One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com The In-Color Boutique Details were used on some of the flowers but you could also use Antique Brads, Pearls, Rhinestones, or even nothing! It is so great to do all of these cards in matching colors of cardstock and embellishments! I used a few different colors of the Ruffled Ribbon as well. You can pick which ever one is your favorite or use a little bit of each color!

I will be posting more tomorrow so you can see all of the samples and details of these fabulous cards created with just one sheet of stamped 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock!!!

Technique Tuesday – Adding Texture!!

Posted on

It is Tuesday and so I’m sharing a fabulous technique with you!!! This week it is these adding texture to your card! I love having a card that has a little bit more than just pieces of cardstock flat against each other. I love adding Dimensionals for some depth and other embellishments to add texture and effect!

For the Newlyweds, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I have added texture to this card in 3 ways! Can you find them???

1. I have used Pink Pirouette Cardstock on top of my Whisper White card base and again to back my stamped Whisper White piece. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals between the 2 layers of Pink Pirouette to give a little texture and shadow!

2. I stamped the branch image from the Thoughts & Prayers Stamp Set with my Old Olive Marker and Pink Pirouette Maker. Then using the flower image from the Punch Pack, I punched out Pink Pirouette Flowers and added those to the branch for a bigger, bolder looking flower! It makes the branch a little more full as well! I added some little pearls to the center of each one too! Gotta have a little bling!

3. I brushed the edges of the punched flowers with Pink Pirouette ink using a Sponge Dauber. This makes the flower have a shaded look and adds a variation of color.

I hope you try out some of these fabulous ways to add texture and depth to your cards! Easy to do and really creates a WOW factor to your project!

Calm Christmas, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card was the favorite at the Holiday Card Class I had at the Library and it is sooooo simple!

Supplies Needed: Night of Navy Cardstock (2 cards per sheet), Whisper White Cardstock (4 cards per sheet), Night of Navy Ink, Sponge Daubers, and Calm Christmas Stamp Set

You will stamp the dove and the greeting onto the Whisper White cardstock! (5-1/4″ x 4″ rectangles)! You can get 4 from each piece of 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock. You are left with this little strip and I used that in another card that I created so be on the lookout! Gotta love using those scraps!!! Brush the edges with your Sponge Dauber and adhere it to your Night of Navy card base! DONE! Once you cut your cardstock, it should only take about 1 minute to stamp and assemble!! I hope you enjoyed this! Precious Petal Cones!

Posted on

Thankful Cones, www.LaurasStampPad.comHow cute are these? You could use them many way – silverware/napkin holder for a place setting, add some chocolate, or as a decoration hanging from a door knob! You can add ribbon to hang it or even use a bigger piece of cardstock to create a bigger cone! These are super simple too and only take a couple minutes to complete! I used a 6×6″ square of Very Vanilla Cardstock and created the cone form. Be sure to use sticky strip to hold it together! It is super strong and perfect for this project! The cone on the right has

Up-close decoration, www.LaurasStampPad.comTangerine Tango ink brushed on the edges with my Sponge Daubers!!! Love those things! Then add a decoration! Here I used the Fun Flowers Bigz Die to create my flowers! I put the Designer Series Paper onto some of the “cardboard” stuff that comes in the back of your Designer Series Paper pack and then ran them through the Big Shot together! This made my flowers a little bit more sturdy! You can change up the decoration for any Holiday or Occasion!

The Beautiful Baroque Stamp!

Posted on

I love it when I fall in love with a stamp….even more when it is a single stamp!!! I have created so many different styles/looks of cards with the Beautifully Baroque Stamp Set!

Sponged Baroque Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super simple! It was created by stamping the Baroque image into Crushed Curry Ink and then I took one of my AMAZING Sponge Daubers and pounced around on the stamp to “pull ink off”. (For more samples of cards using your sponge daubers, check out this post and this post!) Then I stamped the image onto Whisper White Cardstock, that is how I got those varying colors of yellows! Super Fabulous and this card would be perfect for a Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking of You, Thank You and even a Wedding!!!! You could always change up the colors to match the occasion. Super simple and this would be a perfect card for making multiples and using up some scrap Designer Series Paper pieces. I find that making multiples of cards is much easier and quicker than making many card and each one is different! For more samples of cards using your sponge daubers, check out this post and this post!

Ruffled Ribbon Baroque Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is very different from the first one! I stamped the Baroque image onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock! I super love Black and White with a POP of color…..especially when that color is PINK! 🙂 I then took a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the Baroque image. I punched it out with my 2-1/2″ Circle punch and stuck a Jumbo Sticky Round to the back of it. Then I took my Strawberry Slush Ruffled Ribbon and stuck it around the edge of the circle! It is so easy and holds strong with the Sticky Rounds!!!! I went to put this image on my card and realized it just so happened to line up PERFECTLY (so did not plan on that but love when things come together). I think added the little greeting and a Candy Dot! I’m not sure if I think this card is elegant or fun! I kind of think it could go either way! Post in the comments what you think!!!!!

Here are some more samples using the Beautifully Baroque Stamp Set!
