Polka Dots & Stripes!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! I just love Polka Dots and Stripes and the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack is just that. It’s amazing for any style of card!!! Last week I showed off the One Sheet Wonder with this 6″ x 6″ stack and today I have more samples.

Polka Dots & Stripes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, the stripes make the card so cheerful. Sending this out to a friend is sure to brighten their day!! The card above uses the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Designer Paper. I added some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon and the greeting from the Accented Blooms Stamp Set. The greeting was punched out with the coordinating Tailored Tag Punch.

Decorate the Inside, www.LaurasStampPad.com

So I wasn’t wasting any pieces, I placed the little 4″ x 3/4″ piece on the inside as a little decoration. I feel like it really pulls the card together!

Dots of Thanks, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The other piece was used on this simple card! This piece measures 5-1/2″ x 2″ and I simply stamped the greeting directly to the card base! You could always stamp this on Whisper White and punch it out to give the card a little more texture!

6x6 One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here is the template for cutting the Designer Paper for these cards!!! I just love One Sheet Wonders!!! Also, if you would like to see this all in action, check out my Video Tutorial.

Let me know what designer series paper you would use for this One Sheet Wonder in the comments below!

Technique Tuesday – Simple One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday, everyone!!! Technique Tuesday is back this week! Woot Woot! Today’s I’m showing your this Simple One Sheet Wonder with a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper!!!

Simple One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started out making this simple, yet fun card using the 2018-2019 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the monochromatic look and it makes for easy stamping with just one ink pad. The card base is Whisper White measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Then I layered on a piece of the Designer Paper measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next, I tied some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around the card and into a knot. Using the Accented Blooms Stamp Set and coordinating Tailored Tag Punch, I created the greeting. I popped the greeting up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. This is a quick and simple card.

In Color One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I realized  I had a leftover piece measuring 2″ x 6″ so I created this little card. Again, I used a Whisper White card base. Then I cut the Designer Paper down to 2″ x 5-1/2″ and added it to the top. I tied the ribbon around and stamped the greeting directly to the card front. My husband said I should have popped up this greeting as well. It would make it pop more and give the card some texture. I finished the card off by adding a few rhinestones.

Love You Always, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There are 2 little pieces leftover. One measures 3/4″ x 4″ and that strip I added to the inside of the card for a little decoration. The other one I tossed since it was just 2″ x 1/2″. That is the only bit of this paper that wasn’t used though which is pretty awesome!

So Many Ways to One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Yesterday I shared with you a 6″ x 6″ One Sheet Wonder idea! Today, I’m sharing more samples using that same template. There are really endless possibilities with whatever colors, paper, and embellishments you have on hand! Check out all of these fun ideas because there are just so many ways to One Sheet Wonder!

So Many Ways To One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper for all of these which can be used as black and white or colored in. There are lots of ways to color this designer paper like with a Sponge Brayer, Sponge Dauber, Stampin’ Blends, Markers, or Watercolor Pencils! I used Enamel Shapes for the top card and Perfect White Accents for the bottom one!

I'm Lucky To Have a Friend Like You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Any color goes with this style of One Sheet Wonder. I used Island Indigo and Berry Burst for the top card and Soft Sky and Calypso Coral for the bottom one. You can always use whatever you have on hand or whatever color combination you like the most! Also, don’t forget about the 2 different sides of the designer paper too!

One Sheet Wonders with Enamel Shapes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m really going to miss Crinkled Seam Binding as I love that ribbon so much! The greeting I used for all of these is from the Love What You Do Stamp Set in the new Share What You Love Bundles out this month! You can purchase the stamp set alone starting next month when the New Catalog comes out!

One Sheet Wonder with Vinyl Stickers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Add in some bling with the Gold Vinyl Stickers from the Eastern Palace Suite. It was fun adding these as borders, accents and even cutting them to get more use. For the bigger images, simply place it down on the edge of the card and trim off the excess. Then use that little piece along another edge or peaking out from the designer paper layer!

Let me know which set is your favorite in the comments below! I think mine is the Berry Burst and Island Indigo with the Crinkled Seam Binding and the Vinyl Stickers. I just love that color combination so much! If you would like to see the video tutorial for this One Sheet Wonder, click here!

Technique Tuesday – 6″ x 6″ One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means…..I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! It is a 6″ x 6″ One Sheet Wonder as I know how much you all love One Sheet Wonders!

6" x 6" One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Quick and simple pattern and super easy to change up the greeting to whatever you need the most. I made up this style of One Sheet Wonder to use up some Designer Paper I had on hand but also ribbon and embellishments! I love how they all turned out. Today, I’m sharing this pattern but tomorrow I will be showing a more options with different colors, paper, and embellishments!

Starting with a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper, cut at 2″. Then trim that 2″ x 6″ piece at 5-1/4″ for a nice long detailed piece which I cut a laying piece to match measuring 5-1/4″ x 3″. Next, with the 4″ x 6″ piece, I cut along the 6″ at every 1-1/2″. This creates 4 pieces measuring 4″ x 1-1/2″ and then I cut layering pieces to match measuring 4″ x 2″. This creates 5 pieces for 5 cards with the only waste being a small 2″ x 3/4″ piece. How amazing is that?? If you are using a 12″ x 12″ sheet, that means you can get 20 cards from the full piece. If you are using a 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack, it’s 5 cards per sheet!

Using Up Ribbon & Embellishments, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I made up these packets so I could use up supplies and have cards ready to create. I used some Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon and Perfect White Accents for this set of cards! The greeting is from the Love What You Do Stamp Set which is in the Share What You Love Bundles available this month! One ink pad and one stamp set makes these cards even more quick and simple! I love it!

Petal Garden One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! That means  I have a fabulous technique to share with you and it’s a One Sheet Wonder! I know how much you all love these!!!

Petal Garden One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I created these 6 cards using various pieces from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. I’m going to show you how I cut and created these as well as how you can make a lot more from this one stack! Let’s get started!

Filled with Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You can always use the front and back of one sheet for a card like this but I went with 2 different sheets! The smaller floral piece is 3″ x 2″ and you can get 6 pieces from a full sheet of the paper with no waste!!! I layered that onto a piece of Calypso Coral measuring 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ and I tied a piece of Calypso Coral Sheer Ribbon. The striped piece measures 5″ x 2″ and you can get 3 of these pieces from one sheet with a small leftover piece. I layered this piece onto Pool Party (5-1/4″ x 2-1/4″). The greeting was from the Special Occasions Mini Catalog Stamp Set and I used the Everyday Label Punch for the words and the background piece! I finished off the card with a few Enamel Shapes!

Something borrowed, something blue, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The top card was created with the floral piece measuring 2″ x 5-1/2″ and the green stripes measuring 1-2″ x 5-1/2″. You can get 2 cards from each sheet with this style. I added some Rich Razzleberry Sheer Ribbon. Then I used the greeting from the Specials Occasions Stamp Set and I used the Classic Label Punch.

The lower card uses a piece of designer paper measuring 2″ x 5-1/4″. You can get 3 pieces of the designer paper from each sheet with this style! I used the Scallop Squares Framelits for this greeting and the same Special Occasions Stamp Set. I love the Silver Foil scallop and those little Metallic Enamel Shapes!

Foral One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Next up, the card on the top, I used a piece measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. While I love this big piece, you can only get 1 piece from each sheet. The 2 leftover pieces can be used in other styles! I added some Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon. I added a little Old Olive Mini Chevron bow that I created using the Fork Bow technique! The greeting was stamped from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set onto an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits!

The lower card uses a piece of designer paper measuring 2″ x 5-1/2″. You can get 3 pieces from each sheet. I layered this onto Pool Party (2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″). The greeting is from the Special Occasions Stamp Set on an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I finished off the card with a few White Perfect Accents!

Happy Birthday Doily, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is another card that you could use the same sheet for both pieces. I went with 2 different sheets. If you use the same sheet, cut a piece measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ and then cut it in the middle (or off if you wish for a larger piece on top or bottom). I cut the bottom piece into a 3″ x 4″ piece which you can get 2 pieces for a card like this and have leftovers. The upper piece measures 2-1/4″ x 4″. You can get 2 pieces like this from one sheet with leftovers as well. I used the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set for the greeting. The greeting uses the Stitched Shapes Framelits, Scallop Circle Framelits and a Water Tea Lace Doily. I added a little ribbon using the Old Olive Sheer Ribbon. This helps to cover up the over lap of the 2 papers!

Since there are 4 sheets of each paper in the stack, you can get over 50 cards using these patterns. There are also a few sheets in the stack that I didn’t use so you could use those to create even more! How fabulous is that?!?!?! I love One Sheet Wonders because they are quick and simple and require very little supplies. I used 2 stamp sets, 5 colors of ink pads, and only a few colors of cardstock! That’s why these are my fabulous!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! I have another fabulous technique for you! This Fresh Florals One Sheet Wonder is stunning and simple! You can create 16 of these cards with one sheet of Designer Paper!

Fresh Florals One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t this card beautiful? Any type of greeting could be stamped on there with this style of card. The Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper has a pattern and color for everyone!

I started with a Berry Burst card base. Next, I cut a piece the pieces for layering!

3″x 3″ Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper (there are 16 squares per 12″ x 12″ sheet)

3-1/8″ Square of Island Indigo

3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Whisper White

3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ Island Indigo

I simply layered each of the pieces together. Using the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting in Berry Burst Ink. I finished it off by tying some Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon above the greeting. I added the focal point to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give some texture! Plus, you all know how much I love dimensionals! Don’t forget the inside of the card too! This stamp set has the perfect greetings for inside and outside of the card!

Floral Boutique One Sheet Wonder!!!

Posted on

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of the Men and Women who have served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces. I’m excited to share with you another fabulous One Sheet Wonder with the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper!!! I know how much you all love these and I love the Beautiful You Stamp Set that I used for these! 🙂

Floral Boutique One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Look at all of these beautiful cards! I just love that girl stamped (in any pose) as she adds so much to the card with just a simple stamp! All of these cards use the same pattern at the One Sheet Wonder I did last week with the Eastern Palace Suite. Click here to check those out! Now on to each of these cards!

Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper, www.LaurasStamppad.com

After cutting the piece of Designer Series Paper into four 6″ squares, I took one and cut it into four 3″ squares. Then I created each of these cards with those piece. I used Whisper White, Night of Navy, and Marina Mist as my card bases and accent pieces. For the greetings, I used the Beautiful You Stamp Set and the retiring Birthday Blast Stamp Set.

Beautiful You, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Next, I took another 6″ square and cut it into nine 1-1/2″ squares. Some of them I cut in half and some of them I left the full size. I added some Rhinestones, Silver Metallic Thread, and Whisper White Ribbon as accents.

Dancing Girl, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For these cards,  I used one of the 6″ squares and cut it into 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ strips. I used up some scraps of cardstock that were ripped to add as a little layer behind the designer paper!

One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the last 4 cards in the Floral Boutique One Sheet Wonder, I cut the 6″ square into three 4″ x 2″ piece and the leftover piece is 2″ x 5-1/2″. I love how quick and simple these cards are to create. Using just 2 stamp sets and 1 ink pad, there were very few options for me to think over. The clean up was very minimal as  well!

If you would like to see this all in action, check out the Video Tutorial here!

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Don’t forget that the retiring items will no longer be available after May 31st! Click here to make sure you aren’t missing out on anything! The NEW Catalog starts on Thursday!

Tempting Techniques – Eastern Elegance One Sheet Wonder!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! Today, I’m sharing an amazing technique with you – Eastern Elegance One Sheet Wonder! I know how much you all love One Sheet Wonders so here is another fabulous one! I am loving the Eastern Elegance Suite! It’s beautiful!

Eastern Elegance One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

How amazing and beautiful are these cards?!?!?! I just love them and they were so quick to create because I used just 4 Ink Pads, 1 Stamp Set, 1 Framelit Set, and just a few colors! I used all Whisper White Cards Bases….except that one in Dapper Denim! 🙂 Now let’s get started on the cutting and assembling!

Eastern Palace Greetings, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started off by making lots of greeting tags. The Eastern Beauty Stamp Set has so many fabulous images to create the coolest greetings! I die cut them with the coordinating Eastern Medallion Framelits and they were ready to grab and go when I was assembling the cards! The colors I used were Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, and Lemon Lime Twist which are all NEW In-Colors!!!

3x3 Squares, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started out with a 12″ x 12″ piece of Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper and I cut it into 6″ x 6″ squares. With one of the squares, I cut it in half both ways creating four 3″ squares. Finally I cut 2 of those in half diagonally to create the top cards above and just used them as a square for the bottom two cards. I used a little bit of coordinating Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide cardstock for layering. The stamps are from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set!

2x2 Squares, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Next, I took another 6″ Square and cut it into nine 1-1/2″ squares. I added those to the cards above in different ways with greetings and some of the Gold Vinyl Stickers to decorate!!! That gold tassel is just fabulous as well and not super bulky either! Bonus!

One Sheet Wonder, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The next 6″ Square was cut at 4″. Then with the 4″ x 6″ piece, I cut it into three 1-1/2″ x 4″ strips. With the leftover piece of 2″ x 6″, I sniped off that last 1/2″ and used it for the lower right corner card. The other 3 pieces are perfect for layering across your card as a center band! I used Dapper Denim, Fresh Fig, and Tranquil Tide for layering on these cards!

Eastern Beauty, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the final 6″ Square, I cut it at 5-1/2″. Using the 5-1/2″ x 6″ piece, I cut at 1-1/2 (along the 6″ side) to create four 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ strips. I really loved using the amazing stamp set to create background, borders, and greetings! The gold stickers are pretty amazing too for a little pop of bling!!! You can  get all the items I used in this One Sheet Wonder in the Premier Bundle of the Eastern Palace Suite! I mean everything, even the Very Vanilla cardstock and envelopes which come FREE! This bundle is super fabulous and only available this month! Next month, each item will be sold individually and you won’t get the freebies!

To check out this One Sheet Wonder in action, see the Video Tutorial below or click here! Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new!!!

Something You Always Should Have On Hand!!!

Posted on

You Always Should Have On Hand, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Sympathy and Thinking of You cards aren’t always what I think to create but they are ones that you always should have on hand. These are the cards that you can’t always plan for like Birthdays so it’s always good to have a few on hand for when you need one. I really like sending out Thinking of You cards. I send them out when someone is nervous about a project at work, dealing with a lot of craziness in life, or just because to brighten their day! You can also use thinking of you cards for sympathy as well.

This card is quick and simple and easy to whip up lots of them in no time at all. I started with a Very Vanilla card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. I cut a piece of Sweet Sugarplum (4″ x 4″) and layered on some Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″). That is layered and placed near the top of the card. Next, I stamped the greeting from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum Ink. Another great set that I like to use is the Thoughts & Prayers Stamp Set. To finish off the card, I added some ribbon around the card. This is why I went with the 4-1/4″ x 11 card base!!! I used the Metallic Gold Ribbon which comes in the Sale-A-Bration Ribbon Pack with Metallic Silver Ribbon. You can pick this as one of the free items when you order $50!

I created 9 of these cards in no time at all with just that 1 sheet of the Falling In Love Designer Paper! You can see a few other samples using this card style here and here! I love One Sheet Wonders because I never want to waste my Designer Series Paper. Also, when making multiples with one sheet of paper, you can mix and match and use both sides. This takes the stress out of it and wondering which side you are going to glue down! 🙂 Let me know your favorite in the comments below!
