A Grateful Heart!!

Posted on

Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful but I have a grateful heart every day! There are so many blessings in my life that I can’t even count them all. I find that on hard days it is best to think of as many as I can! One of them is Stampin’ Up and all of YOU!!! You mean so much to me and have allowed me to enjoy my job so much and stay home with my 2 little blessings too!

Grateful Heart Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

On this crazy busy holiday week, I thought I would share a quick and simple card that you could whip up in 3 minutes or less!!! Time it!

I used a Blackberry Bliss card base. Next, I cut a piece of the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper into a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece and added it to the card front. Then for the greeting, I used the Double Oval Punch! I love that it’s a 2 in 1 punch for the perfect layered greeting! The scallop was punched in Gold Foil Paper. The smooth oval is Gray Granite! I stamped the greeting in Blackberry Bliss Ink. The greeting as well as the image on the inside of the card is from the Banner Year Stamp Set! The greeting was added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals…of course!! 🙂

Banner Year Stampin' Up Stamp Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Then for the inside of the card, I used Gray Granite cardstock (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped the corners! Just a little decoration to pull it all together! DONE!

How long did that take?!? You could even make it simpler by stamping the greeting on the front directly to the designer paper! Quick, simple, and made with love is perfect for this time of year! After all, it is the message and the thought that means the most!

Wishing you all a wonderful week! If you are feeling overwhelmed with the holidays and to-do lists, stop and think of your many blessings for just a minute with a grateful heart! Smile and power through! You got this! Remember that you mean so much to me and I appreciate you! HUGS!

Peppermint Kisses!!!

Posted on

At Target the other day and I see Sugar Cookie Kisses…..Yes please! Omg you all they were AMAZING and gone within a few days! Heavenly!!! Accepting all Sugar Cookie Kisses this season! 🙂 I also have this cute Peppermint Kisses card to share with you today!!!

Peppermint Kisses, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I got this card idea from the amazing, Kim Peck!!! It uses the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite!!! You can check out more cards using this Suite here.

I started with a Real Red card base! Next, I took 2 pieces of Basic White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″ – one for the front and one for the inside! I added a piece of the Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Paper along the left hand side and stamped the greeting from the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set up top! NOTE: If you wish to stamp first, just make sure it is a bit off center since it is centered in the area after the designer paper is placed down!

Stampin' Up! Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the kisses, I stamped 3 of the ornament baubles in Real Red Ink onto Basic White cardstock and then die cut them out! Then I flipped them upside down and placed the 2 on the bottom of the card front with the scallop at the bottom edge of the white cardstock. Using the cardstock as a guide, I trimmed off the tops of the ornaments to create a kiss! Next, I took the third ornament and trimmed less off so it looks bigger and placed it on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! To finish off the look, I added a little piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding to the tops of each one. I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the ribbon.

Happy Holidays Peppermint Greeting Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

On the inside I decorated with a few of the peppermint candies from the stamp set and the greeting!!! I love the coordination of the front to the inside!

Baby Wipe Bells!!!

Posted on

The Baby Wipe Technique has been around forever it seems. I have done it various times over the years and love the look! Here I created Baby Wipe Bells for this beautiful holiday card! What do you think?!?!

Baby Wipe Technique on Christmas Bells, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Baby Wipe Technique is super easy and only requires a Baby Wipe and Ink Refills in any color that you would like! Simply fold the baby wipe to create 4-6 layers. This gives it enough squish to hold ink and press into the stamp. Next, add drips of color from the ink refills randomly all over, filling in all the white spots. For these bells, I used Real Red, Old Olive, and Cinnamon Cider. This is now your ink pad.

The first few images might come out a little odd or fabulous! It just depends. The more you use this “ink pad” the more the colors bleed together and mix for a fun look! I stamped the bells onto Shimmery White Cardstock for a little extra shine and because this cardstock is a hint thicker.

For this card, I used the Frosted Gingerbread Suite!!! You could try out this technique and use other images from the stamp set like the ornament and snowflake too!

Stampin' Up Cinnamon Cider, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I actually used Cinnamon Cider rather than the typical Basic White or Very Vanilla. Have you ever tried this?!?! Super cool and I think I’m going to try it more often!

Blackberry & Gold!!!

When you think of Fall, what colors come to mind?? For me it’s typically orange, yellow, and brown/tans. I am loving this new look of Blackberry & Gold for Fall! Thank you Stampin’ Up for making me branch out because I’m in LOVE!!! With this, I might start to like Fall more! I still hate winter and I’m not sure that will ever change. LOL

Blackberry & Gold, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card has me swooning! I started with a Rich Razzleberry card base. Next, I layered strips of the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper onto Cinnamon Cider cardstock! This paper is gorgeous with the rich colors and gold foil shine! Then I added this to the left hand side of the card and wrapped some Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the card and tied it into a knot.

Now for the focal point, I stamped the greeting from the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I layered it onto Early Espresso cardstock and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set and coordinating dies, I stamped and die cut the 2 pumpkins. I love the Gold Foil touch on that detailed pumpkin! There is a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional on the top of the stamped pumpkin that is falling off the greeting piece. This is to keep the image level and popped up even though it is falling off the greeting piece a bit.

Pretty Pumpkins Stampin' Up Bundle, www.LaurasStampPad.com

On the inside of the card, I added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (4″ x 5-1/4″ and stamped a coordinating greeting and some of the leaves from the Pretty Pumpkin Stamp Set. There are so many beautiful images in that set!

This card would be perfect for Thanksgiving but also works for a thank you card all season long! What would you use this card for?!?! Let me know in the comments below! Carousel Cards!!!

Happy Technique Tuesday!!! Wowza it’s been a long time since I have said that! I have had so much fun with these Carousel Cards!!! They are super cute and still fit into a regular envelope! BONUS! They are a work of art and the perfect display piece for anyone to enjoy!

Halloween Carousel Card, Frightfully Cute Stampin Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I did some for Halloween but then an all occasion one as well which you can see down below! There are 4 basic measurements for the pieces and then just decorate as you wish!

The “card base” is a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of designer series paper. Score along the 4-1/2″ side at every inch. This gives you four 1 inch panels and then 1/2″ at the end for adding adhesive. I like to use Tear and Tape for projects like these! Fold on all of the score lines and then with the piece laying flat, fold it over and adhere it together to create a long square tube. The pattern that you would like to show is the one that is on the inside of your tube. The pattern on the outside will be covered with the decorations!

Next you will need 4 pieces of cardstock measuring 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″. These can be all the same color or different colors. As you can see in one of the cards above, I used Highland Heather and Pumpkin on it, alternating each panel! These panels will be adhered to each of those 4 sides of the square tube. All adhered on the left side with the right side hanging off. Now you have your card and it’s time to decorate!

The last 2 pieces measure 4″ x 2-1/2″ and 4″ x 1/2″ and that covers the small side panels and center panels. Then you can decorate as you wish with greetings, stamping, ribbon, die cuts, embellishments! So many possibilities are endless!

Carousel Card Using Stampin' Up Product, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This feels super confusing so I feel like it is much easier to understand via video so check it out here! I hope you try out the Carousel Cards Technique and feel free to share it with me! I would love to see what you come up with!

Friendship!!!

Friendship refreshes the soul! This is so true. I would also add in family to this greeting as well. There is just something about it that makes you feel refreshed and ready to conquer the world again. Who else feels this way?!?

Friendship refreshes the soul, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love this fun card because it uses a regular sized card base but yet has that fun look! I cut a card base in Evening Evergreen (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″). Next, I scored the card at 4-1/4″ as if I was making a regular card. Then I cut along that 4-1/4″ score line from the top down 2-1/4″. Then this piece is used as the focal point!

I layered a piece of Basic White onto that cut off piece of Evening Evergreen and stamped on it with the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set. For the tree, I stamped the detailed layer in Evening Evergreen and the larger background tree image in Soft Succulent! Those 2 stamps give so much texture and detail to the tree. It amazes me every time! TIP: Make sure when adhering the focal point to the card to only add adhesive on the bottom portion otherwise you will adhere your card closed.

Beauty of Friendship Stampin' Up Stamp Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

On the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting and used the dots to add a little detail. For the dots, I stamped in the corner and then just kept stamping around as it got lighter and lighter.

Cute Halloween!!!

Are you a fan of Halloween??? Do you prefer scary or cute Halloween?? I’m typically not a huge fan of Halloween but Claire is turning me as she loves it. I feel like I have been more drawn to Halloween things this year too. It’s crazy how our crafting changes. I do prefer more of a cute look than scary, gory for sure!

Cute Halloween Stampin' Up Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super simple and easy to create because you can use various prints from the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper to create tons of these cards. Also, it’s so simple and fun that you could make multiples to send to all of your friends and family for a little #happymail!!

I started with a Basic Black card base. Next, I layered on a piece of Smoky Slate measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″. Then I added 3 strips of the designer paper and those measure 3″ x 1-1/4″. It is super fun to mix and match the different looks.

For the greeting, I used the Frightfully Cute Stamp Set and coordinating dies for the label! I am loving that label because it’s super cute and it has those dot details. I used Pumpkin Pie Ink for the greeting on the front and inside. The greeting on the front is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals over a little piece of Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon under it. Any little scrap of ribbon that you might have works perfects. Those little leftovers at the end of a spool are perfect for this look!

Frightfully Cute Stampin' Up Bundle, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The inside of the card has a piece of Basic White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. I stamped the greeting in Pumpkin Pie and then added a few bats in Memento Black Ink. Don’t forget to add a few bats to the envelope as well!!!

Treat Yourself!!!

How often do you treat yourself to something wonderful?!?! It might be ice cream or a massage or a nap or maybe a new purse or outfit!!! No matter what it is be sure to do it as often as you can because you deserve it! 🙂

Treat Yourself Stampin' Up!, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I wanted to create a card with the Sale-A-Bration Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper that wasn’t winter or penguins! Here is what I came up with and I love it!!! This shows you that this paper can be used all year long for any occasion. I think this makes a fabulous birthday card but it would work for a baby card too!

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and then added on some Penguin Playmates Designer Paper (2-1/2″ x 4″) and Soft Sea Foam cardstock (2-3/4″ x 4″)! If you would like an even split you could always do that but I sort of like the uneven look where the cardstock is bigger than the designer paper. Next, I layered together more Penguin Playmates Designer Paper (2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″) onto Misty Moonlight cardstock (2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″). This layer is added to the card front flat as well because I popped up the focal point with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Using the Scalloped Contour Dies, I die cut a rectangle in Basic White and stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight Ink. Then I stamped the ice cream from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set in Soft Sea Foam onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock and punched it out with the coordinating punch! For the cone, I stamped off once with Cinnamon Cider and then onto the cardstock with the triangle. For the waffle cone lines, I went with full strength Cinnamon Cider! I added this to the left of the greeting on the card front and finished it off with some Playing with Patterns Resin Dots!

On the inside of the card, I took a piece of Basic White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped Happy Birthday in Misty Moonlight Ink. Then I took some of the dots and stamped them in Soft Sea Foam. All of the images are from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set! I love it!!! If you would like to recreate this card and don’t have all of the supplies, check them out below. Go on, treat yourself and have fun!!! Don’t forget it’s Sale-A-Bration still too so Stampin’ Up will treat you too!

Celebrating Pockets!!!

I feel like everything had pockets these days! Dresses of all styles have pockets….even wedding dresses! Well now we have cards with pockets so we are all celebrating pockets!!! I feel so trendy! 🙂 lol

Celebrating Pockets Greeting Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card starts off with a piece of Calypso Coral measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. That means you can get 4 card bases with 1 piece of cardstock! Next, I layered on some You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″). For the corner pocket, I took a 3-1/2″ square of Basic White cardstock and cut it diagonally. Using the Create With Friends Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting in Pear Pizzazz Ink. Then I added it to the card front by running a piece of Tear & Tape along the bottom and left hand edge. I finished it off with some Basic Rhinestones which I colored with the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers!

You're A Peach Designer Series Paper Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the pocket insert, I cut a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock measuring 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. Then I adhered a folded in half piece of the You’re a Peach Designer Paper (3″ x 8″) to the front of the Calypso Coral. This way you can see both the front and back of the designer paper! Be sure if your designer paper has a specific pattern that you are cutting it in the correct direction. Next, I added a piece of Basic White (2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″) to the inside to write your message on. Using the greeting from the Create With Friends Stamp Set, I stamped You 3 times without ever going back to the ink. This gives a fun ombre look!

Tuck the little card into the card pocket! But wait there is more….I added a little bow of Pale Papaya to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional to really make it pop!
