Let The Paper Steal The Show!!!

Let the paper steal the show and you have a quick and simple card created in no time at all. Check out this beautiful card using the Christmastime is Here Suite!!! Also, remember these items are while supplies last so click the supplies below to get yours today!

Steal the Show, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base. Next, I layered on a piece of the Christmastime is Here Designer Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) onto Soft Sea Foam (4″ x 5-1/4″). Then added those layers to the card front.

For the greeting, I die cut the label using the coordinating Roses Dies and stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler Ink. The greeting is from the Christmas Rose Stamp Set. I felt the greeting didn’t pop enough so I layered this onto some Cherry Cobbler cardstock and cut out a little layered look. Since the lines are straight, this wasn’t that hard. To finish it off, I added a little piece of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon to the back, securing it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Christmas Pines, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I used images from the Christmas Rose Stamp Set to stamp along the top and bottom. This greenery look is perfect for Christmas time! It was stamped in Mossy Meadow and the greeting in Cherry Cobbler! You could always add some of the greenery to the envelope as well! 🙂 Such a fabulous card that is super quick since you are letting the designer paper do all of the work and steal the show!

Wishing You Well!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! I hope you had an amazing weekend! I sure did! Lots of family time and a little bit of relaxing time….that’s my kind of weekend! 🙂 What about you??? Let me know your perfect weekend plans in the comments below!!! Then we can get to this Wishing You Well Fall Card!

wishing you well, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is quick and simple to create. You can get 9 of these from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ designer paper! Add a different greeting for the occasion and it’s perfect all Fall long!

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Next, I took a piece of Very Vanilla (4″ x 5-1/4″) and layered on some of the Come To Gather Designer Paper (4″ x 4″). On the lower portion, I stamped the greeting from the Gather Together Stamp Set. The greeting was stamped in Cajun Craze Ink. Then I took some of the Come To Gather Satin Ribbon and tied it around when the designer paper ended. This gives a smoother transition from designer paper to solid cardstock. Add this to the card front and you are all set!

I will admit that this satin ribbon is rather wide and therefore makes a thick knot. Normally I’m not a fan of such a chunky embellishment and press on it a little to soft/flatten it and you are golden! You could always use twine in the Come to Gather Ribbon Pack or just place a strip of the satin ribbon across and not tie it. It’s all up to you!!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Fall! I’m wishing you well! 🙂 Check out more samples using these products here and here!

Here I started with a Whisper White card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Then I layered on a piece of the Christmastime is Here Designer Series Paper (4″ x 4″). This means that you can get 9 cards from 1 sheet of the paper. Next, I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler at the top from the Christmas Rose Stamp Set and tied some of the ribbon around the card front.

Christmas Roses!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! Today’s technique is a bit tricky…..stamping or coloring! Can you guess which one I did on these Christmas Roses?? Which one do you prefer??

Christmas Roses, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am just loving the Christmas Roses Stamp Set that just came out this month! The image is stunning and so fun to color! The card above is actually colored rather than stamped with all of the coordinating images. While stamping was easy to do as the images are photopolymer, I found coloring to be more fun!

This card was created super quickly as I just stamped in the image in Basic Gray and then colored it with Stampin’ Blends. Next, I die cut it with the coordinating Roses Dies. After that, I added it to the card. The card base is Mossy Meadow with a piece of the Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper!!! While the Suite has a lot of gold in it, I decided to branch out and use some silver for the card.

Technique Tuesday – Double Fold!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! It’s been a month since we closed on the house and I think FINALLY I’m starting to get back into a routine/groove. Maybe?!?!?! Either way, I have a fabulous double fold technique to share with you today that is super cute!!!

Double Fold, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses the Come to Gather Suite from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I am super loving the blues and greens this season. It’s a nice change from the typical reds, oranges, and yellows.

Come To Gather, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Since I did a full video tutorial on this double fold card, I’ll post a link to that below rather than typing out the full directions!

Season of Thanks!!!

Posted on

Tis the Season! The Season of Thanks! I am LOVING these blues and greens together and feel like I’ve fallen in love! Stampin’ Up really nailed it with the Come to Gather Suite!!! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Season of Thanks, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am so in love with this card. It is elegant, Fall, and full of love! That’s perfect in my opinion!

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card base. Next, I took a piece of the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and layered it onto the front. Then I added a dab of adhesive in the center and pressed the strip of ribbon into it. This ribbon is from the Come to Gather Ribbon Pack. It is always best to add the adhesive to the cardstock than to the ribbon, it just sticks better that way!

Gather Together Stamp Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I stamped it from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock Ink. Be sure to stamp it on the far right side so there is room for the leaves and pumpkin on the left. This was stamped on a Very Vanilla Stitched Label! Those things are so beautiful and I love using them for all different styles of cards. On the left hand side, I adhered 2 textured leaves that were die cut from the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. Then I stamped the pumpkins in Soft Sea Foam and die cut those out as well. I added this entire piece to the card front over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I added a few Basic Sequins for some bling!

Come to Gather Suite, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I added some pumpkins and another greeting from the Gather Together stamp set! It’s just perfect!!!

Adding Cool Whip!!!

Posted on

Adding Cool Whip is always necessary when having hot chocolate right?? As a kid, we always ate the cool whip and then said we were done. I don’t think any of us really liked hot chocolate but we enjoyed the cool whip!

Adding Cool Whip, www.LaurasStampPad.com

How sweet is this card?? I just love the cute factor and that fun texture!!! So let’s get started on how I created this card!

I started with a Shaded Spruce card base. Then I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next, I die cut the white mugs with the Cup of Cheers Dies and placed them on the card. Scoot the mugs down a bit and using a pencil, draw a line across the top of the mugs from side to side. This will be your guide for adding the Puff Paint and making sure it isn’t too wide or too high on the card. Now let’s add puff paint and set it with the Heat Tool!

Puff Paint, www.LaurasStampPad.com

TIPS FOR USING PUFF PAINT: It is very liquidy so be careful not to use too much or have it spill all over. After applying a thin layer, start heating it from the bottom of the cardstock to set it. Once you see a little shine around the edges, move to the top side to heat it. Be sure to hold it there for a decent amount of time because first it will look dry and then it will start to puff. Add more puff paint to fill in holes or increase your area. You can always add more but can’t always take it back. Also, remember that no 2 puff paints are going to look the same. It’s kind of like watercoloring!

After the Puff Paint is done, you can assemble the card. Don’t assemble first because the heat tool can melt your ribbon. I stamped the mugs with the Cup of Christmas greenery piece in Shaded Spruce Ink and then added them below the Puff Paint with Stampin’ Dimensionals! Then I added a piece (2″ x 4″) of the Perfectly Plaid Designer Paper at the top. Taking the Shaded Spruce & Gold Ribbon, I added a strip across the card where the designer paper and cardstock meet. Securing the ends on the back side with Stampin Dimensionals and then added this piece to the card front.

For the greeting, I stamped it from the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. Then I added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished it off with Holiday Rhinestones on either side!

Cup of Christmas Card Insert, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Using that same greenery stamp, I stamped each corner in Shaded Spruce Ink.

Feels Like Frost!!!

I can’t believe I didn’t show off this paper sooner because it is BEAUTIFUL!!! The Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Paper is amazing. It is a 6″ x 6″ pack and one side has silver foil prints. This makes it SUPER hard to decide which side to use. Check it out!

Feels Like Frost, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Just look at this amazing paper….I’m in love! It can be used for so many different looks and that’s what makes it super versatile. One side of each sheet is a white and silver foil print. This can be used as is or you can add color by sponging, coloring, or brayering over the top. That means you can create any color of paper. These prints can also be used all year long.

The other side of the paper has very detailed, beautiful photographic images of winter/snow/frosted nature. The shades of blues and purples are just fabulous! They are so realistic and stunning that you don’t even want to cut up these sheets. Using them for a winter scrapbook page would be perfect!!!

Be sure to check out other Holiday Mini Catalog Designer Series Paper reveals here, here, and here!

Technique Tuesday: Adding A Scallop Ribbon Border!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know what that means!!! I have a fabulous technique to share with you today and it’s super simple! Check out this adorable scallop ribbon border on this card. The cool thing about this is that you can get 2 cards for every 5 inches of ribbon. I cut the ribbon in half!!!

Scallop Ribbon Border, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super simple and perfect for making multiples!! The pack of Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper has so many great prints that would all work in this same color scheme.

I started with a card base of Pretty Peacock measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Next, I cut 2 pieces of Very Vanilla measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ (for the front and inside). Then, I cut the Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper into 4″ x 4″ squares. That means you can get 9 cards from 1 sheet of designer paper with no waste. YEAH!! I added Tear And Tape along the bottom of the designer paper and since it’s a perfect square it doesn’t matter where the bottom is. Then taking the Pretty Peacock Scallop Trim Ribbon, I cut it in half so I could get 2 cards for every piece. Press the half piece of ribbon into the Tear And Tape on the edge and trim off the extra on the ends.

Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

After adding adhesive all around the other sides of the designer paper, it is then added to the Very Vanilla piece. Next, I stamped the greeting from the So Many Stars Stamp Set in Celestial Copper Ink on the bottom. I am loving this shiny copper ink. With the coordinating Star Framelits, I die cut a star in Copper Foil Paper. You could also use the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements! The Fine Tip Glue Pen is amazing for adhering delicate items like this.
