Just Cut Off The Bottom!!!

Now this might not sound like great advice for most things in life but when it comes to stamping, try it out! Just cut off the bottom of the cardstock for a whole new look! Check out this other card that I created by cutting off the bottom too!

I got the inspiration for this card from the amazing Sandy Carlson! Thank you so much, Sandy for sharing this beautiful card. I loved it and had to recreate it and changed up the greeting!!!

I started with a Bermuda Bay card base (7-1/4″ x 5-1/2″). This means that I cut off 1-1/4″ from the card front of the card base. Next, I layered on some of the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper. The front piece measures 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ and the little piece on the bottom measures 1″ x 5-1/4″. The little piece is technically on the inside of the card!

The Whisper White piece on the inside measures 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″. I stamped the lily pad and greeting in Bermuda Bay Ink. The greeting is from the Thanks For The Laughs Stamp Set and the flower is from the Lovely Lily Pad Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set!

Now for the decoration on the front of the card. I started with tying some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the front flap to add a little bit of texture. Next, I added the Whisper White die cut stitched circle. I stamped the greeting at the top of the circle and added the flowers towards the bottom. The flowers were stamped with the Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating Lily Pad Framelits! Just be sure to add adhesive to the top portion of these so that you aren’t sealing your card shut with adhesive on the portion hanging off the circle! For the dainty pink flower, I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen!!!

Golden Honey One Sheet Wonder!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! Today’s Technique Tuesday is the Golden Honey One Sheet Wonder!!! I know how much you all love One Sheet Wonders so I hope you enjoy this one too!!!

All 9 of these cards were created with 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ Golden Honey Designer Series Paper!!! I used both sides of the paper so no struggle for which side to use!

The first cut was at 4″ creating a 4″ x 12″ strip which I then cut into 4″ x 4″ squares! This is the first 3 cards! I used the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set for all of the greetings!

Next, I cut a 2″ strip off. This creates a 2″ x 12″ piece that I then cut into 2″ x 4″ pieces. That first card was created by cutting the 2″ x 4″ into 2″ squares. I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the designer paper for even more variability. Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Whisper White, and Daffodil Delight were the colors I used on all of these cards!

Then, I cut a 5-1/4″ piece off which created a 5-1/4″ x 12″ piece. I cut this one into 4″ x 5-1/4″ and used it as backgrounds for my cards. Again, I colored in the flowers with Stampin’ Blends for some added flare!

The leftover strip is 3/4″ x 12″ and I cut it into 2 pieces to decorate the inside of the 2 cards! One strip is 4″ x 3/4″ and the other is 5-1/4″ x 3/4″. Perfect way to use up every bit of the paper!

Hearts & Flowers!!!

Happy Wednesday!!! Happy February!!! While this post isn’t all about Valentine’s Day, it is all about hearts & flowers!!!

The greeting includes the hearts and the image includes the flowers! The card is filled with love to share with someone special! (PS: Send the cards you make to share the love. Don’t hoard them all to yourself.) Also, I have to give a shout out to Monica Giberti for the inspiration for this card! Thank you, Monica! I love it!

This one I started with a Melon Mambo card base and stamped the “waves” on the background in Melon Mambo Ink. This is from the Lovely Lily Pad Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. Be sure to off set the stamped images so it doesn’t look like the same image up and down but rather a random look. Next, I layered a piece of the Lily Pad Impressions Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper onto some Garden Green cardstock. I placed this in the center of the card base.

For the focal point of the flower, I punched out a 2-1/4″ Whisper White Circle and placed it on the right side. Then using the Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set and coordinating Lily Pad Dies, I stamped and die cut the image. I used Melon Mambo Ink for the outline and then flipped the stamp over and inked it in Flirty Flamingo! I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere this to the card front! The greeting is on a 1″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. This greeting is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set in the 2020 Mini Catalog. I love this greeting! To finish it all off, I added a few Champagne Rhinestones for some texture and bling!

For the inside, I stamped the lily in the corner! It’s perfect and adds a little fun to the inside! I just love the colors of this card and the fact that the Stamp, Dies, and Designer Paper are all items that you can earn for FREE!!!! Woot Woot! I love Sale-A-Bration.

Up & Down Z Fold Card!!!

I added a piece of Whisper White onto the back of the card and stamped some confetti in the corners. It is inked up once and stamped all three times for that ombre look! I also have to give a major shout out to Margo Richardson for this card idea! I just loved it so much and had to recreate it!

Talking is Priceless!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!! If you know me even for a second, you will find out I’m loud. I’m a talker and I’m a bit crazy! Aren’t we all a bit crazy though?!?!? Today, I’m going to focus on the second one though. Talking is priceless!!!

This greeting speaks to me heart and soul! A chat with a friend to forget about the chaos in your life. Talking over something that is bothering you to help get it off your chest. Telling stories of past times to laugh and cry over the wonderful memories. It’s all so fabulous!

I started this card with a Blackberry Bliss card base. Next, I layered some Coastal Cabana and Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper. The Lily Impressions Paper is one of the Sale-A-Bration FREE items and I highly recommend it. It’s so beautiful! For the greeting, I used the Thanks For The Laughs Stamp Set from the 2020 Mini Catalog! I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss on a scrap of white. The banner tips were created with the Banner Triple Punch. I do recommend punching first so that you don’t end up punching off your greeting! To finish it off, I wrapped a few loops of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine around my fingers and laid it on the back of the greeting. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I secured it down and placed it on the card front!

On the inside of the card, I added a layer of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped the coordinating greeting on the bottom. On the left, I added a little leftover piece of the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (using the back side of the paper this time). It’s so fabulous and perfect for anyone that you talk too! After all, talking is priceless!

Monday Mail!!!

Happy Monday!!! I have decided I want to send out more cards just because. I would like to tell others I’m thinking of them or happy for them. We all love happy mail, right?? So today, I’m sharing some Monday Mail that I sent out just because!

This card I created for a special someone who recently earned a trip through her work. I’m so happy for her and the hard work she has put in. The Tropical Oasis Suite is perfect for creating this card for her. I couldn’t wait! I whipped up this card quickly so I could get it out!

Starting with a Daffodil Delight card base, I layered on Lovely Lipstick (4″ x 5-1/4″) and a piece of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″). I love these bright colors so much! They make me so happy. For the greeting, I used the Thanks For The Laughs Stamp Set. The greetings in this set are just perfect for fun cards like this. It’s perfect!!!!

After stamping the greeting in Lovely Lipstick Ink, I punched it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. Then I punched out another one in Lovely Lipstick cardstock. I trimmed off the top and bottom of the white greeting so it would layer perfectly. Next, I took the Braided Burlap Trim and frayed the ends a bit. Securing it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the greeting!

Valentine’s Day Treats!!!

Valentine’s Day is 1 month away so let’s get started on creating hand made goodies for those we love!!! They always say the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. These Valentine’s Day Treats do just that. These are food and oven safe so a brownie or cookie would work perfectly!

Aren’t these little things adorable?? Little red heart shaped tins to fit just about anything. Chocolates, cookies, brownies, jewelry, conversation hearts, M&Ms and so much more fit in these tins.

Decorating these is super simple with the amazing products in the From My Heart Suite in the new mini catalog! There are heart shaped doilies that fit in the lid but also in the bottom of the tin for a super fabulous look! The doilies come in both red and pink! Tropical Oasis Designer Paper!!!

Christmas is over and I’m ready for Spring…..or a Tropical Oasis would work!!! I guess since there is nothing in the plans, I’ll just stare at this paper and dream! 🙂 Check it out!!!

Yum Yum Yummy!!! This paper makes me happy! The tropical flowers are stunning and just scream warm weather. If you are just starting to follow me, you must know I love Spring and Summer. Warmer weather and sunshine is my jam. I don’t live near the beach so some of the images feel a little off to me but I can always use the other side. We are going to Hawaii in July so they can be used to scrapbook that trip or for cards then! By the way, send me any traveling tips for Hawaii. I need them all! 🙂

Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper!!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!! I am not posting a lot this week but I do still have my designer paper reveals going on my YouTube Channel. Today, I’m sharing the Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper!!!

You all know how I love flowers so of course I’m loving this paper. The colors are stunning as well with those bright reds and purples. I’m not so sure how I feel about combining red and purple but I can always use the other side. I really love the solid colored prints on the back side of the paper as well. It makes this paper versatile for lots of occasions. While this paper may seem more feminine with the flower prints, those green stripes would make a fabulous man card!
