I did want to clear up a few questions/concerns you might have with the retiring list!

Yes, the Stampin’ Trimmer and Big Shot are retiring but new products will be coming soon to replace them! Don’t panic! Just sit tight for awhile. New products are always fun and fabulous so stay tuned!

Stampin’ Up is no longer carrying Wood Mount Stamps. All of the stamps will be Cling or Photopolymer. The Cling are the NEW Clear Mount ones that are super sticky. Photopolymer are the clear/see through stamps! When looking at the list of retiring items, it looks like a lot of the stamps are on there but that is because the Wood and old style of Clear Mount are retiring.

Some items are retiring but coming back in a new style/package/creation like the Watercolor Paper and Big Shot Die Brush.

The 2017-2019 In Colors are retiring but we have NEW 2019-2021 coming!!! Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile

If you have any questions on anything, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to answer them.

While you are snagging some of these retiring products, don’t forget about a few special offers I have. Now till Sunday at midnight, all orders placed will earn a FREE Pack of Stampin’ Dimensionals in honor of my 15 Year Anniversary with Stampin’ Up! March 2019 Paper Pumpkin!!

Posted on

Oh how I feel so behind on Paper Pumpkin because I usually like to post the previous month before the 10th of the next month! Sorry!!!! Either way, you should totally try out Paper Pumpkin any time of the year. Sign up now (before May 10th) to get the May Kit!!!!

March 2019 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These pop out cards were SOOOOO CUTE!!! I went ahead and pulled out my calendar to do certain numbers for upcoming birthdays!!! I had a few left over and decided to just do Happy 21st Birthday….then on the inside I put “…Again!” That works for any age above 21! I wrote in the cards too! I’m feeling so on top of things….now to just remember I did it when that person’s birthday comes! 🙂

The front decoration was super simple and fun to mix and match the labels and greetings! I think I added dimensionals to different layers than the directions stated but that’s okay!

Pop Out Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The hardest part of the inside was probably all the folding and getting the cake to fold out while the rest folds in. Another tip when putting the pop out insert in is to place it inside the card, open one side and peel off the sticky. Close the card to have to attach. Flip over the card, open the flap, and peel off the sticky. Close the card. By doing it this way, it will close flat and position correctly. If you try to position it in there perfectly it might not close flat or it will be pushed in too far.

Another tip I have is to know that there are TONS of goodies in this kit. There are plenty of labels, numbers, and candles. I ended up tearing my candles apart for the top section and then realized there were small and large candle pieces. Silly Laura! Also, all the extra pieces can be used to make more cards! Woot Woot!

Have you tried out Paper Pumpkin??? It is so worth a try. Even if you only do it for 1 month!! You get a clear block with your first kit which is fabulous for this kit but all future stamping too! Stamp and Ink come in every box! Then there is the project which you can create just like the instructions say or you can use the pieces to create your own style. Try it out by clicking here!

Creating Stained Glass!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know that means I have a fabulous technique for you and this one is super cool! Creating stained glass on a card makes it look gorgeous and so real!!! This Easter card is perfect because it looks like a church window!

Creating Stained Glass, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it just BEAUTIFUL?!?!?! I love it! I used the Stampin’ Blends to color the stained glass and the butterflies!!!

Starting out, I cut a Pool Party card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ and added it to the card front! Using a piece of the Graceful Glass Designer Series Paper, I colored the BACK of it with Stampin’ Blends Markers!

Coloring Vellum With Stampin' Blends, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the Dark Stampin’ Blends colors because the vellum makes the color lighter already and I love bright colors over a super light pastel. Once it was colored, I had to trim off the top and bottom a bit to make it fit my card. The piece is 6″ tall and my card is just 5-1/2″! Stampin’ Up vellum is amazing because it is thick enough that Snail adhesive doesn’t show through. In the past I have hated vellum because it is so hard to adhere it without the adhesive showing through. This is not the case and I am pumped!!!

Church Stained Glass Window, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I finished off the card with stamping a butterfly from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. Using the Butterfly Duet Punch, I punched it out and colored it with the same Stampin’ Blends! It is amazing!!! You could use the lighter marker for the butterfly since you don’t have that vellum toning down the color. Again, I love bold colors so I went with it! I added the butterflies with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some texture. The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. Then I added some Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins for some texture and bling! It’s perfect!!!

Laura’s Quick Tips: Ink a Spectrum Pad!!!

Posted on

Happy Thursday!!! Today, I’ve got another one of Laura’s Quick Tips. I’m going to show you how to ink a Spectrum Pad. I have been playing with these a lot lately and LOVING IT!!! You can check out those projects here and here!

Laura's Quick Tips: Ink a Spectrum Pad, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It is really simple to do and all you need are 5 of your favorite colors of Ink Refills! I used Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade, and Real Red in this sample. I have also done Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay. Another one I created in a rainbow color scheme. I have 2 more to ink up and I can’t decide. Let me know your suggestions of colors in the comments below – 5 total colors!

Be sure that the ink pad is opened up; each color pad is separated from the one next to it. This is also how you will want to store the pad so that the colors don’t bleed together. Take the ink refill and just squirt on ink until it looks saturated. Just a light coating is not enough because you need to fill the little sponge and soak it. Also, don’t go overboard or it will start to run down in the tray. Remember it is easier to add more but not so easy to remove ink.

For the little label on the front, I took a file folder label and pressed it into the ink pad to pick up each color. Then I just wrote the name of the color below it and stuck it on the front of the ink pad. Now it is time to stamp and have fun!!!

Stamping On Designer Paper!!!

Posted on

Typically I prefer a more clean, bold, solid look rather than shabby chic, rustic, or subtle look. What about you??? For this card though I decided to stamp on the background designer series paper rather than adding another layer. It like a whole new way of stamping for me. You should try it out! Stamping on Designer Paper is fun!

Stamping on Designer Paper, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Isn’t it beautiful?? Have I mentioned I also like flowers?!?! lol I love them so much I even created a Tag for easy search on all my flower cards. Just click here!

I started with a Pool Party card base. Next, I took a piece of the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration 2019) and adhered it down the center! Using the Painted Seasons Stamp Set and Tranquil Tide Ink, I stamped a few greenery pieces all around the top and bottom. This was done before layering the greeting and everything so it wasn’t in the way. Next, I added a little bit of adhesive in the center and pressed 2 pieces of the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon into it. It is okay if the ribbon doesn’t seem super secure as the greeting will help hold it in place too!

Painted Seasons Sale-A-Bration, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The greeting is from the Part of My Story (Sale-A-Bration 2019) Stamp Set and I punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added the greeting to the card front. Dimensionals adhere to the ribbon and the bumps and grooves much better than using Snail Adhesive. Next, I stamped and die cut the flowers in Gorgeous Grape using the Painted Season Stamp Set. I added the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensonals too. To finish it off, I stamped a few Gorgeous Grape star clusters all around.

I really love how this card turned out and I am going to try stamping on designer paper more often now. What do you think?

My Amazing Card!!!

Posted on

Have you ever created a card and thought oh my goodness this is AMAZING?? I sure hope you have because all card are amazing and made with love. I will admit I don’t have that OMG feeling with all cards though. This feeling comes about once a year or sometimes longer. My last most amazing card was this one in November 2016! I still have that card and admire it randomly. Well today I’m sharing another one of my amazing cards! This one just screams beauty at me and I LOVE IT!

My Amazing Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I hope you love it as much as I do but if not that’s okay too! The colors, the pattern and that little hint of bling do it for me!!!

I started with a Highland Heather card base and layered on a piece of Coastal Cabana measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-7/8″ x 5-1/8) and placed it in the Stamparatus. Using the Florentine Filigree Stamp Set and a Spectrum Pad, I created that amazing background! The colors for the Spectrum Pad are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay. It is super easy to create because the Stamparatus does all of the work with spacing and stamping. Simply notch down the plate after each row.

Layering Circles, www.LaurasStampPad.com

TIP: The hardest part is probably making sure the ink pad is always stamping the correct color on the same end. Place the ink pad above the Stamparatus Plate after inking each time with the flat side of the ink pad on the left side.

Now for the focal point of those layered circles!!! Using the same Florentine Filigree Stamp Set, I stamped the circle image in Bermuda Bay and in Gorgeous Grape. I used the Layering Circles Framelits for the Bermuda Bay Circle and the 2″ Circle Punch for the Gorgeous Grape one. Next, I stamped the greeting in Bermuda Bay and slide the long skinny piece of Whisper White into the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch. That is how I got those slightly rounded ends. Then I added some of the Pool Party and Silver Baker’s Twine to the back securing with Stampin’ Dimensionals for texture. I finished off the card with a few Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins for some bling!

Isn’t it just fabulous??? What color combination would you use for your Spectrum Pad?? Let me know in the comments below because I have 2 left to ink up and I just can’t decide on the colors.

If you would like to see this all in action, check out the video below or click here! Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. Country Floral!!!

Posted on

This Country Floral Embossing Folder was one of the Sale-A-Bration items and that ended last week. If you earned it, try out this amazing card!!! If you didn’t earn it, don’t worry as it is coming back! Woot Woot!

Country Floral, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I went very basic as I feel like the embossing folder is just so stunning. Adding a little gold bling and some navy makes it POP! You could use silver and any other color as well. What colors would you use? Let me know in the comments below!

I started with a Very Vanilla card base. Next, I took another piece measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and embossed it with the Country Floral Embossing Folder. I went a tiny border from the embossed piece and the card base so it looked like it filled out the card front more. I don’t like actually embossing the card front of the card base because then it makes the inside all bumpy and the card base less secure in my opinion. After adding this piece to the card base, I tied some Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon around the card.

Welcome Baby, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I used Circle Punches and the Well Said Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I love this stamp set because it has lots of greetings for any occasion and it has a greeting for the inside of the card as well! Perfect! I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy Ink. To finish off the card, I added a few pearls for bling and texture!

This quick and simple card can be created with any style of embossing folder! It is great to have a few on hand and add a greeting as you need a card!

Happy Stampin’
