May 2022 Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

The May 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit featured all 5 of the new In Colors and I love it! The pop of color and then gold foil accents are just stunning!! Let me know which set is your favorite in the comments below!

May 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It is so hard for me to pick a favorite because I really do love these cards. I’m going with Tahitian Tide as my first pick because I love the splatters in the background and the greeting is super fabulous!!! The monochromatic dots are my favorite here as well!

Sweet Sorbet Paper Pumpkin Kit Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is perfect for #Happymail and will be great to send to my niece who is in college. Anyone getting a new job, moving, starting a sport, etc would love this uplifting card for sure! For some reason, on this card I actually like the multicolored dots better than monochromatic!

2022-2024 Stampin’ Up In Colors

Orchid Oasis Stampin' Up In Color, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is great because the greeting is very generic. I also love the color variations for some reason! Monochromatic all the way with this card. How crazy is it that I love monochromatic on some and others I prefer multi-colored?!?! Ehhh I’m crazy so I shouldn’t be surprised!

Parakeet Party 2022-2024 In Color Stampin Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I love the bright green – Parakeet Party! It’s so bright and cheery. The greeting is kinda meh. I would prefer just a Happy Birthday or something. Although there are plenty of people I could send this card too so looks like I just need to branch out and embrace it. That is one thing I love about Paper Pumpkin…..it pushes me! It makes me try color combinations I wouldn’t have thought of. I used greetings, images, and techniques that maybe aren’t my favorite. This is a good thing and I need the push!

Starry Sky Stampin' Up In Color Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is another greeting that I struggle with a lot. Best Wishes is a hard greeting for me to use. I mean sure I could use it for wedding, anniversary, new job, a move, etc but I also look at the greeting and think “IDK.” Do you use Best Wishes a lot?!?! What occasion?!?

Be sure to sign up for the June Paper Pumpkin before Friday so you can enjoy the fun of card making and ease of it all prepped for you! Also, it’s okay if it pushes you out of your comfort zone! It’s a good thing! 🙂

Uniquely Artistic!!!

Posted on

I got the Uniquely Artistic Stamp Set for free from Stampin’ Up! when I attended OnTour in April! It was a fun virtual event where demonstrators gathered to chat, learn and see new catalog product. Of course there were goodies involved too like this stamp set! It’s flowers so of course I was super excited!!!

Uniquely Artistic Stampin Up Stamp Set, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I created this card with 2 new In Colors – Parakeet Party and Starry Sky! I love the darkness of Starry Sky with the bright neon Parakeet Party! It really makes the 2 colors POP!

Card Instructions:

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ as the the card base. Next, I added a strip of In Color Designer Series Paper to the top and bottom measuring 1″ x 4-1/4″. Then in the middle I added a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock measuring 4″ x 4-1/4″.

Handmade Floral Birthday Card Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now for the stamping!!! I took a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and started with stamping the flowers. The Uniquely Artistic Stamp Set flowers are stamped in Starry Sky Ink and the leaves in Parakeet Party Ink. TIP: Stamp the flowers in a triangle with the edges close together in middle but not completely overlapping. It’s okay if the middle looks messy because the greeting will cover it up! After stamping the flowers, I added the leaves in between! For the greeting, I cut a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock measuring 1″ x 1-1/2″. This piece could be bigger or smaller depending on your greeting of choice. I added the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals! Then, I finished off the card with a few Iridescent Rhinestones!

Stampin' Up In Colors Birthday Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The fun part about this card is all of the different patterns in the In Color Designer Series Paper Pack. Do you like the stripes or polka dots better?!? Let me know in the comments below!

Also, if you are loving the In Colors as much as me, you can get them for FREE this month with the In Color Starter Kit! Join Stampin’ Up before the end of May for just $99 (plus tax). You get to pick out $125 in any product that you would like and you will also get the 5 In Color Ink Pads, In Color Designer Series Paper Pack, In Color Cardstock Pack, and In Color Grid Paper in your kit! So Spoiled!!!

Stampin’ Up is an amazing company and I’m excited to say I’m a part of it! Last week, I should have been on the Incentive Trip but it was cancelled. Instead, Stampin’ Up! gave a cash bonus as well as some fabulous goodies! It was super fun getting these items and I enjoyed being so spoiled!!!

So spoiled by Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

There were 437 demonstrators who earned the trip last year and I am one of them! Eeeeee That is less than 1% of the company! There were 278 earners from United States and the rest from 8 other countries!

This box of goodies was so exciting…..for all of us! Claire kept asking if it was for her! The packaging was gorgeous and now I have another box to put in my Stamp Pad as decoration! LOL Who knows what I will do when I have no more room. The robe is HUGE and cozy and amazing! It just may swallow me whole.

Pottery Barn Luxury Robe, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I wanted to also take this chance to say THANK YOU to all of you! I couldn’t do this without all of you! The likes, the shares, the orders, the class attendance….all of it means so much to me! I am so thankful for Stampin’ Up bringing all of us together. The relationships and opportunities I have gotten over the years have really been amazing! All of the love and support you all share with me also makes me feel so spoiled! <3 From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!!

I can’t get enough!

Posted on

I know that I have plenty of flower stamp sets and paper! I am just drawn to them like a moth to a flame. When the new catalog came out and I saw the Hues of Happiness Suite, I had to have it, no questions asked! I can’t get enough flowers! If you are like me, you need this suite too!

Can't Get Enough Flowers - Hues of Happiness Suite, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card was one of the samples for my New Catalog Launch Party! It just screams LAURA!!! I love it! The awesome thing about it is that I was able to use the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to create over 40 card kits to send out for the party! These card kits were all different but yet the same style! I love it!

For the card base, I used Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo! Next, I embossed Granny Apple Green cardstock with the NEW Fern Embossing Folder for each card. Then I added a strip of floral designer series paper along the left side. Some of these floral pieces were blues and purples and some were more pinks and yellows. A simple punched out Basic White for the greeting and then a coordinating flower to accent! There are 2 different prints in the designer paper pack that have large flowers all over. These flowers can be fussy cut out or die cut with the coordinating dies. This makes for a quick and fabulous card! I love it!!! I finished it off with a few Glossy Dots!

Here are some more color options!

Artfully Layered!!!

Posted on

This card uses the Artfully Layered Stamp Set but I also feel like it is artfully layered in technique as well! So it is a double duty title!!!

Artfully Layered Stampin Up Stamp Set - www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card actually uses Just Jade which is one of the retired colors. I didn’t get a chance to share it before the color officially retired. I still wanted to share the sample because I think it is fabulous and I think it would look amazing in Calypso Coral, Night of Navy or even Bermuda Bay! What color do you think it would look amazing in?!?!

Card Instructions Using Artfully Layered Stamp Set:

I used a monochoromatic look so it uses minimal products! The card base measures 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and then I cut 2 pieces of Basic White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″. One of the pieces is for the front and one for the inside. Next, I took a 3-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Just Jade (same as the card base) and stamped the greenery piece from Artfully Layered all over it. Be sure to fall off the piece of cardstock so the pattern looks continuous. Then along the 4″ side, cut it into 1″ x 3-1/2″ strips! You will have 4 pieces now! I layered those onto the Basic White and added it to the card front! Now it’s time for a simple greeting also stamped in Just Jade Ink. Before adding the greeting to the card front, I die cut out a greenery piece in Basic White and attached it to the back of the greeting. This way I don’t have to add adhesive to the delicate die cut! Simple and fabulous for an everyday #happymail card!

I hope you try out this Artfully Layered card and let me know which color you use!!! Check out all of the supplies listed below for quick and easy shopping!

Also, be sure to join me at 10:00 a.m. CT on Facebook for my Stamp Garage Sale TODAY!!!

Then I ordered it and it arrived and more screaming and excitement happened! Now I have played with it and I’m still in love!!!

Hues of Happiness Stampin' Up, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is my #1 favorite card! Like this might be one of those cards that I keep for myself because I love it so much and I feel like no one else will love as much as me. There are less than 10 cards like this over my 18 years of stamping! The Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper is stunning in the background! Then those stamped, colored, and die cut flowers are just the icing on the card. 😉 It really blows my mind how Stampin’ Blends really make me feel like an artist! I love it!

Over the Top Card!!!

Posted on

Recently I was asked by my friend, Jean to create a birthday card for her to give to her friend who was turning 90 years young! I was happy to do so but also nervous because this card has to be special and over the top! I know Jean would have thought any card I created was special and over the top. You all know as a crafter though how you feel put on the spot to do your absolute best. Well I created what I thought was an amazing card and Jean loved it too!!!

Over the Top Fun Fold Homemade Greeting Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I actually used a few past Paper Pumpkin Stamp Sets which came in handy for my garden themed card! The Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper was just perfect as well!!! It turned out fabulous….so fabulous that I have recreated this design many time since as well!!!

Mother's Day Heart & Home Over the Top Greeting Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I made a Mother’s Day Card for my Mom and my Mother In Law as well with this same concept! For this one I used the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper!

Handmade Mother's Day Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The next flap that opens up was just decorated with the stamped flowers from the Blessings of Home and then the final flap is decorated but also has some space for writing! If you wish to keep the front of the card and each flap clean of writing, simply add a piece of Basic White to the back of the card and you will have plenty of room!

Pansy Petal Gardening Mother's Day Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This other Mother’s Day Card that I created was very similar to the 90th Birthday one! I can’t wait to make even more!!! Eeeeee! Love it!

For all of the details on this card, check out this video tutorial!!!
