Meerkat Silhouette Sunset Card!!!

Posted on

The cuteness factor: HIGH! The amazing view factor: HIGH! Fun technique factor: HIGH! This Meerkat Silhouette Sunset card is just adorable and I’m going to share with you how to make it!!!

Meerkat Silhouette Sunset Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I started with a Mango Melody card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped the lizard in the corner and added it to the card front. I just had to add him to the card because he’s adorable!

Sunset, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Next, I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the meerkats on there in Memento Black Ink. Then using the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Marker, I colored them all in. Then I placed a 1-1/2″ scrap circle over the center of the card. It should cover up some of the meerkats. Starting with Mango Melody, I sponged the color around the circle making sure it didn’t move. Next, I took a Daffodil Delight Sponge Dauber and colored the rest of the way out, making sure to blend the colors together. Be sure to go over the meerkats so the color gets everywhere. Now you have that fabulous sunset and silhouette look.

In order to make the meerkats not look like they were floating, I took a scrap piece of Basic Black and ripped it along the top. Then I placed this under the meerkats and trimmed off the excess. This layer was added to a Basic Black piece of cardstock before adding it to the card front. This makes the image pop more!!

Happy Birthday To A Stand-Up Friend, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I stamped it in Mango Melody Ink. All of these images are from the Sale-A-Bration Gangs All Meer Stamp Set. Woot Woot for free stamps! Using the Label Me Lovely Punch, I layered these images today. I just trimmed off pieces of the punched image to get a different look. Check out this video on that! I’m still debating on where I want to add a few rhinestones either above the lizard or on either sides of the greeting. The yellow/orange ones in the Holiday Basics Rhinestone Pack would work perfectly!

Rain or Shine!!!

Rain of Shine….you are always on my mind! How adorable is that greeting!?!? Especially this time of year when it seems to be raining all the time. I still love Spring though!!!

Rain or Shine, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This adorable card uses the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper which is from the Sale-A-Bration Coordination Release. This paper will no longer be available after March 31st so get it before it’s gone!

First, I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I layered on a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Then I took the umbrella piece of designer paper and cut some pieces into 3-3/4″ x 2″ and others into 3-3/4″ x 3″. One side of the paper is raindrops and the other is the umbrellas. I did the rain on top and the umbrellas on the bottom.

Using the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, I added a bit of adhesive in the middle and pressed the ribbon into it. The ends are not secured down but that adds some texture to the card! For the greeting, I stamped it in Calypso Coral Ink onto Whisper White. The greeting is from the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set. Using the Label Me Fancy Punch, I punched out the greeting and added it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

This quick and simple rain or shine card is easy to whip up on a rainy day. Send out a few each week to a friend or family member that you are thinking of. It will be sure to brighten their day! See the complete list of supplies below!

Shades of Blue!!!

Posted on

Sometimes I like to use a large array of colors and other times I like to use various shades of the same color. This fun card made of shades of blue is just fabulous!!!

Shades of Blue, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is just stamps, ink, and paper! Simple and fabulous! You could pick any color combination you would like for this same look! I used Blueberry Bushel & Seaside Spray!

First, I started with a Seaside Spray card base and stamped the poppies in the lower left corner. These were stamped in Blueberry Bushel Ink and I staggered them for a more natural garden look! Then I stamped the cluster of poppies in Memento Black Ink onto a strip of Whisper White. This image is just a bit too small to be stamped once so I did it twice; hanging off either end. It’s like 3/4 of the image stamped on the left and right. Next, I stamped the splotchy image in Seaside Spray and Blueberry Bushel. For the blueberry, you may want to stamp off once to lighten the color a bit and not have it over power the poppies. Then I layered this piece onto a piece of Blueberry Bushel and added it to the card front. All of these images are from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set!

For the greeting, I stamped it in Memento Black Ink just below the poppies. This area is big enough to use just about any greeting and flowers are perfect for any occasion. I used the stamp from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. This set is one of my go-to’s lately!

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped a few poppies in Blueberry Bushel in the corner! Don’t forget that you can stamp a few poppies on your envelope as well! 🙂

Birthday Surprise!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! This is just the cutest birthday surprise ever! I am just loving the Birthday Bonanza Suite! It is so much fun and sooooo cute!!!

Birthday Surprise, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super cute and actually super easy to make! Let’s get started!

I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and then I cut 2 inches off the front panel. You could also cut the cardstock at 4-1/4″ x 9″ and score it at 5-1/2″. This would result in the same look. It just depends on which way you want to go. Next, I layered Crushed Curry and Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper on that front flap!

For the greeting, I used the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set and the Label Me Lovely Punch! After stamping the greeting in Memento Ink, I punched it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. Then I punched another one out in Coastal Cabana and cut it in half. Add a dab of adhesive to the back top side of the greeting and then press it onto a piece of the Coastal Cabana label allowing a nice layer of that color to show on the top. Then do the same to the bottom half. When adding this piece to the card front, just be sure to only add adhesive to the top portion of the greeting so it sticks to the top flap but doesn’t seal your card shut. Check out the video tutorial below to see this all in action!

Birthday presents, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. The greeting and presents are from the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set. Thank goodness for photopolymer stamps so you can line up those images! 🙂

Check out more samples using these items here, here, and here! To make this birthday surprise card, just get the supplies listed below!

It’s a Poppy Moment!!!

This title – It’s a Poppy Moment – makes me think of the movie Trolls. I do love that movie because it’s so cute and I played with trolls as a kid! 🙂 What about you? Did you play with trolls? Let me know in the comments below!

It's a Poppy Moment, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Okay back to the card at hand and not the movie Trolls! 🙂 Isn’t this one beautiful with a simple greeting stamped in black and die cut flowers! If you made a bunch of these, I would suggest die cutting a whole bunch while watching your favorite show/movie. Then assemble them with the Fine Tip Glue Pen or this fun trick! Then head to your craft table and assemble the card!

I used Poppy Parade for the card base. Next, I layered Basic Black and Whisper White. Be sure to stamp your greeting before assembling the flowers. This way you don’t have to worry about leaving enough space and if you mess up the stamped greeting, it doesn’t ruin the entire card front. Just flip it over! 🙂

I started with a Lovely Lipstick card base. Next, I layered some Best Dressed Designer Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) onto a piece of Petal Pink (4″ x 5-1/4″). Then I tied some of the Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon around it and into a knot. Make sure you get this step in before adhering this layer to the card base.

Pretty Label Punch, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I stamped it in Melon Mambo Ink onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch! The greeting is from the So Sentimental Stamp Set! I added the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This adds some texture but also gives a smooth look over that ribbon. I finished off the card with a few Champagne Rhinestones!

Floral Card Insert, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. There was a little strip of designer paper leftover so I added it to the left side. This really pulls it all together and makes it fabulous!!!

Making a Full Bow!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know that means I have a fun technique to share with you!!! Today, I’m making a full bow and showing you exactly how I did it!!! Check it out!!!

Koala Cutie, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I started with a Smoky Slate card base and stamped the little confetti stamp all over the background. By stamping it in Smoky Slate Ink, it just gives that perfect subtle background. All of the images on this card are from the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set!! Next, I layered a piece of the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper (3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″) onto So Saffron cardstock (3-3/4″ x 4-3/4″). I added these layers to the card front a little diagonal for some fun!

Making a Full Bow, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the tag, I die cut it from the coordinating Bonanza Dies and stamped the greeting on the bottom in Terracotta Tile. I also stamped the balloon in the same color and added a little string in Momento Black. Then on scrap white, I stamped the koala in Smoky Slate and Memento Black ink. Again, I used the coordinating framelits die cut him out. Then, I added him to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensional for some texture making sure his hand was near the balloon string! Then I added the tag to the card base!

To finish it off, I created a fun little full bow to add to the top of the tag and added some sequins all around. Check out the video below to see how I tied the ribbon. The ribbon and sequins are from the Sale-A-Bration brochure but they are no longer available. I still wanted to share this card for those of you who do have this beautiful ribbon. You could always use any style of ribbon/twine.

Party Surprise, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I added some balloons and confetti in Terracotta Tile. For the balloons, I inked it up once and stamped all 3 balloons to get that variation in color. It’s the perfect coordination!
