No Line Watercoloring!

Say what? No line watercoloring is just that…..coloring with watercolor but there are no lines! It’s okay! Blew my mind too!!!

No line watercoloring, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The Thinking of you card has such a soft look to the flowers rather than the bold flowers in the Enjoy card. Which do you prefer?!?

Detail and no-line watercolor uses very light outlines, often stamped in pale ink like Petal Pink or Basic Beige! Pro tip: Want a lighter outline? Stamp off once and then onto your project! This creates a soft, hand-painted look without harsh borders. Slowly add color around the image to create the watercolor flower! Using different colors and tones, you can add texture and depth as each layer dries. Hello professional watercolor-er!!! (That is not me! LOL) Finish with subtle details and darker accents to define shapes and add dimension without relying on heavy outlines.

Now for the Enjoy card which is more my style! The flowers were stamped in Black for that defined outline and then colored in!

Give them both a try – no line watercoloring and lined watercoloring! See which one you like better! Let me know in the comments if you have any tips on either one! Coloring isn’t exactly my expertise. LOL

Happy Stampin’
