Cupcakes are my favorite! When I saw the Circle Sayings Stamp Set with a cupcake in it, I got excited! Here I created a card using the same concept but did one more feminine and one more masculine! Cupcakes For All!!!
This card can be created simple or stepped up! In the sample above, I used a Thick Basic White card base. Then I added a layer of cardstock that was embossed with the polka dots from the Basics Embossing Pack! You could also just do a colored cardstock base and no embossing for a simpler version!
Next, I die cut a rectangle with the Deckled Dies and stamped the cupcake all over it! Again, if you wanted a simple version, you could just cut a rectangle. The colors I used were Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia for the card on the left. The card on the right uses Pool Party and Lost Lagoon! Finally, I stamped the cupcake and greeting on Basic White and used the coordinating Circle Punch to punch it out! Simple and quick with a punch which is why this card is fun to make multiples of! The placement of the pieces on the card front is all up to you! Have fun with it! On the purple card, I added some Wink of Stella to the cupcake and some Iridescent Rhinestones!
On the inside of the cards, I decorated with some more stamping! First, I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting in the darker color and then stamped off once for the cupcake so it was a lighter shadow! Don’t forget to stamp the envelopes too!!
What color combination would you use to create this card? Let me know in the comments below and I hope you create a card like this one! After all, cupcakes for all!
