Loving the Sunset!!!

SunSet wedding invite, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Months ago I started working with an amazing couple who were planning their wedding! Their colors were those in a sunset – Real Red, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. You know how much I love my bright colors!!! I really enjoyed creating the perfect wedding suite for this couple!!!

The invitation was a 5″ x 7″ Invite printed on Whisper White and then I used my Sponge Daubers to add all of those fun colors!!! My fingers did get rather inky but it was totally worth it!!!

Lots of sponge dauber inking, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I added some Silver Ribbon towards the bottom and stamped the scroll-y flower image from the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set in Perfect Plum at the top!!! Then I layered it onto a piece of Melon Mambo!!! The Hotel Card and RSVP cards were printed on Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie respectively with the Perfect Plum stamped image on them as well!!!

Candy Labels, www.LaurasStampPad.com

How adorable are these? The Bride came up with this amazing saying that is a sweet as the cake pops they were attached to! The tags were printed on each of the colors – Perfect Plum, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Pumpkin Pie!!! I used the Label Collections (now retired) Framelits to cut them out and the little oval for the ribbon to slide through was created with the Chalk Talk Framelits!!! Love it!!!!

I really enjoy working with Brides and Grooms to create their perfect wedding! Each bride has such amazing ideas and I love it! You can check out some of the others I have created here! If you are getting married, planning a birthday party or anniversary party or any other type of celebration, let me know! I would love to help you create the perfect piece for your event – Invitations, Programs, Save The Dates, Place Cards, Favor Tags, and much more!!!

Bridal Shower Beauty!!!

Posted on

I love weddings and being in love and gathering with friends and family. That is exactly why I had an amazing weekend celebrating the love of my two friends at their Bridal Shower!!!! I mentioned it on Friday and many of you requested photos so I will share (even though it was done with the retired Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper)! I loved the neutral color of the paper so I thought this was my opportunity to add in Pool Party for that look I’ve been dreaming to create!!!

Something Borrowed Bridal Shower Invites, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here are the invitations for the Bridal Shower! I printed the inside on a Whisper White card base. I layered a piece of the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) onto Pool Party cardstock (4″ x 5-1/4″). I added a 4-3/4″ piece of Whisper White Cotton Ribbon across the paper, adhering the ends to the back. Then I layered this onto the card base. I created the little bow with Pool Party Cotton Ribbon and the Fork Bow Technique! Click here to see the video tutorial! I added the bow to the card with a Mini Glue Dot! The greeting was punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered onto a punched Scallop Oval Punch! I added that to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals! I stamped a little flower from the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set on the envelope to make it just as adorable!

Here is a close up of the invite!!! Now on to decorations!

Bridal Shower Decorations, www.LaurasStampPad.com

To keep the theme going with the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Pool Party colors, I stamped some greetings from the Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set onto Pool Party cardstock. I punched these out and layered them onto a scallop circle of the DSP. I put two of them back to back with a toothpick between and some Stampin’ Dimensionals to place in the cupcakes! I also punched lots of different sizes of circle punches in Whisper White, Soft Sky and Pool Party cardstock to lay all over the dessert table! Also, I created little food tags with a piece of 4″ x 4″ Pool Party cardstock folded in half and a little 1/2″ x 2″ piece of the DSP on the left side! It was really cute!!! Of course I had to add in a photo of the beautiful Bride and I! 🙂

My gift was a Project Life 12″ x 12″ Album which had pictures from our dress shopping adventure. I will be creating pages for the Shower and all of the other events leading up to and including the wedding. I’m use the Love Story Card Collection which is perfect for her album because she is using Black, White and a pop of Red! This collection is black, white and gray so I only need to add in the red!!! I added in the Journal Pens and these coordinating Thank You Notes as well!

It was a wonderful afternoon!!! I can’t wait to celebrate even more in October!!!

In love,

~Laura

Pink & Gold Perfection!!!

Pink & Gold Wedding Invitations, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You all know how I love the color pink!!! When I started working with this Bride and found out the colors were gold and pink, I fell in love!!! Then the Bride says she loves bling and my heart melted! I love love love these invitations even though I am (was) more of a silver girl! Simple, elegant and absolutely amazing!!!!

The invitations were done with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Blushing Bride cardstock. I did all of the printing on Vanilla cardstock and then added a 2″ x 4″ piece of Gold Glimmer Paper on the left side! For the ribbon, I used some Blushing Bride Ink Refill to dye the Whisper White Satin Ribbon. I love how you can create any color you want with this ribbon! I tied the ribbon in a loose knot and wrapped the ends to the back side to secure it! Then I added this to the Blushing Bride card front! Love it.

For the RSVP Card and Reception Card, I printed them in Vanilla cardstock. We wanted to tie in the Blushing Bride theme so I stamped the little flower scrolly image from the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set! I love it! I ended up creating little cards asking everyone to share their photos from the wedding with a hashtag and I stamped that same image! It was so much fun that all of these pieces coordinated so well! Just a stunning wedding suite for sure! Oh how I love weddings and helping Brides make their wedding the most special day ever!

Sophisticated Serifs!!!

Posted on

When I first looked through the Occasions Mini Catalog the Sophisticated Serifs Stamp Set jumped out at me and I just had to have it! I love the font of the alphabet and you know I love love love the little flowers! It is so elegant and fabulous. You could make up a set to give as a gift to anyone or for yourself! They would make beautiful Bridal Shower gifts and we know how many Thank You Notes they send out! Here are a few samples I have created with this set!!!

Sophisticated Serifs Monogram Note Cards, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These little note cards are quick, simple, fabulous, and fairly cheap to make! I used a pack of Note Cards and Envelopes which are just $5.95 for 20 of them and the Sophisticated Serifs Stamp Set! The rectangle box was stamped in Mossy Meadow and then letters were stamped in Blackberry Bliss. Stamp those 2 items (the letters were all lined up on a clear block and stamped together) and you are all set! Super quick! For the one on the left, I stamped the letters all together and then used my markers to color in the flowers and leaves in Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow respectively. Just beautiful! I love it!

Monogramed Thank You Notes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I recently did these for a Bride and Groom who wanted them for Thank You Notes! The card base is Whisper White and I stamped Thank You on the inside with a greeting from the Lots of Thanks Stamp Set. For the front, I ran a piece of Elegant Eggplant through the Big Shot with the Filigree Embossing Folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Then I stamped the letters in Silver Encore Ink! They turned out amazing!

What do you think about Monogrammed Note Cards – love them / hate them? Leave me a comment down below!

Technique Tuesday – Curvy Keepsake Boxes!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means…..I have a fabulous technique to share with you today (with a Video Tutorial)! Woot Woot!!!! These little boxes are so adorable and super easy to assemble (I was surprised at how easy)!

Curvy Keepsake Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Supplies Needed: Big Shot, Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet Die, Cardstock, Vellum or Designer Series Paper, Embellishments, Sticky Strip or Fast Fuse

You will need a piece of cardstock (vellum or Designer Series Paper) measuring 9″ x 5-1/2″. This is enough to cut out 2 pieces with the Curvy Keepsake Die. Place the Die on your paper, run it through your Big Shot and repeat! Now that you have your piece die-cut pieces, you will fold on the score lines (3 per die-cut). If you are using cardstock and would like to stamp on it, now is the time. It is much easier to stamp now then after it is assembled! 😉 Now I like to run the tabs on each die over my bone folder a bit to break those fibers a little and allow the box to curve. Using Sticky Strip or Fast Fuse, you will apply adhesive to one of the squares on the die (don’t go super close to the edge). Now you will take the die-cut that doesn’t have adhesive and lay it on top, matching up the corners to the edge of the score line. Your squares will not overlap exactly (if they do, your corners will not lay correctly). Here is a photo showing you what I mean!

Curvy Keepsake Box Bottom, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now you just need to pull the 2 tabs together and slip the other ends over the tabs are you are all done! You can always add some ribbon, charms, tags, or punched pieces to decorate as you wish!!!! The box on the left in the top photo was done with Whisper White cardstock and I stamped snowflakes from the Endless Wishes Stamp Set all over it using Night of Navy, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party Ink. The box on the right was done with All is Calm Designer Series Paper and I added some Silver Ribbon and Pool Party Cotton Ribbon to the top. I also added a little tag using the circle tag die from the Curvy Keepsake Die Set and added a little All is Calm Snowflake Embellishment!

Vellum Lantern Curvy Keepsake Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This one is super fabulous because you can use it like a lantern. It was created with the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (it comes in Gold as well, after all Gold is In!) It was created the same way but in the end I added a little tea light inside for a glow! This would be amazing on a Christmas Tree, in a window, on a table place setting, mantle, wedding decoration and so much more!

Lady Bug Curvy Keepsake Box, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I saved the best for last. Ohhhhh Ahhhhhh I know I know! It is PRECIOUS! This would be the cutest thing ever for a Baby Shower or Birthday Party or a Spring Party (oh I’m dreaming of spring already)! I created the box with Real Red Cardstock, added 1/2″ Circle Punch black dots (5 on each side). For the body, I used a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch in Black and 1-3/8″ Circle Punch in Smoky Slate. For the head, I used a 1″ Circle Punch in Black! The eyes and antenna were created with the Cupcake Builder Punch and Owl Builder Punch. Yep those are cherries you see upside down as the antenna! I did brush the edges of the Smoky Slate with my Basic Black Sponge Dauber to soften the edges and I dotted the eyes with my Chalk Marker! 🙂 Love it!!!!!

Technique Tuesday – Cafe Bag Creation!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! That means I have a fabulous technique to share with you today!!!! Since the Holiday are upon us that means that there will be lots of gift giving – teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, friends gift, family gifts and everyone in between! Why not make the gift packaging just as special as the person you are giving it to!

Stars Cafe Bag, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am loving these Cafe Bags which are in the Holiday Mini Catalog because they are the perfect size and they come plastic lined which is great for putting homemade treats in them! Love it!!! Now lets tell you how to re-create it!

Supplies Needed: Cafe Bags, Decorative Mask, Sponge Daubers, Ink, Ribbon, and Tag

I left the Cafe Bag all folded up like it comes and laid my Stars Decorative Mask over top! Using my Whisper White Ink and Sponge Dauber, I colored in all of the stars! NOTE: When using Whisper White Ink (Craft), it takes a little bit longer to dry so set that aside while you create your tag! For my Tag, I used some scrap Mossy Meadow and Whisper White cardstock. For the banner tips, I cut up in the center of the end and then from the corner to that center cut line! This gives you even banner tips! I used the Endless Wishes Stamp Set for the snowflakes and greetings! They are stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink! I love how you can mix and match the greetings in that stamp set – just perfect! Once your bag is dry, you can fill it and then roll down the top and secure the tabs! Wrap some Lost Lagoon Satin Ribbon around it and tie a bow or knot! I attached the tag with a Mini Metallic Clothespin! Adorable! Quick and Simple for any of your gift giving this season! The bag below uses Blackberry Bliss Satin Stitched Ribbon and a tag from the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit! The greeting is from the Work of Art Stamp Set! Love it!

Beautiful Wedding Card!!!

Posted on

Big News Wedding Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card just screams elegance and beauty (although if it was elegant it wouldn’t be screaming, right?)!!! I used the fabulous Big News Stamp Set for the greeting!!! For the background, I used a piece of the Park Lane Designer Series Paper which has flowers all over it! I then punched 2 flowers with my Pansy Punch and off set them for a fuller flower look. I finished it off with Gold Sequins all over the greeting, the center of the flower and hanging out from the behind the flower as well! I use Mini Glue Dots to attach my sequins to my project! Remember, place the sequin or cardstock on the glue dot and then lift them both off the paper. If you try to pull the glue dot off with your hands, it will lose it’s shape and might not want to come off your finger. 😉

I hope you enjoyed this and you can check out more fabulous cards with the Big News Stamp Set here, here and here!

Technique Tuesday – Post It Note Holders!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! I know it kind of feels like Monday since yesterday was a Holiday but trust me it’s Tuesday! Woot Woot for skipping on Monday!!!! I have a fabulous technique to share with you today! These items make perfect gifts for co-workers, teachers, friends and just about anyone!

Post-It Note Holders, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Of course you can make more masculine ones for those teachers and co-workers who are men but everyone uses Post-It Notes!!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Post-It Notes, Cardstock, Embellishments (Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Window Sheet, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Heat Tool, Stazon, Blendabilities)

Starting with a piece of cardstock that measures 3-1/4″ x 7″, you will score along the 7″ side at 3-1/4″ and 3-3/4″. These are the folds to wrap around your post-it note. Go ahead and add some adhesive to the back of your post-its and stick them inside your base! Now for the decoration on the front, I layered a piece of Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper (2-3/4″ Square) onto a piece of Old Olive (3″ Square). Then I took 2 pieces of Whisper White Organza Ribbon that were 4″ long and placed them in a “T” pattern on top of my Designer Series Paper! Wrap the ends to the back and adhere to the front of your Post-It Holder base. For the flower, I stamped a flower from the Flower Shop Stamp Set with my Stazon onto a piece of Window Sheet. Be careful not to wiggle or smear your image and be sure to set this aside for a minute to dry. Once it is dry, flip it over to the backside and using your Blendabilities Markers, you will color the flower! I used the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities and used the darkest color! Once that is complete, punch out your flower with the Pansy Punch. While waiting for it to dry a bit, you can stamp the same flower with Stazon onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock and punch it out. Then with a pair of Paper Snips, cut out 2 of the petals and these will be use as leaves for your flower! For a faux glass look and to have your petals curl up a bit, you can heat your window sheet flower with your heat tool. Hold your heat tool about 1-2 inches away from the flower and after a bit (first it needs to heat up) you will start to see the Window Sheet melt and curl. Be careful not to burn yourself. Now it is time to assemble your flower. Attached your leaves with a little bit of Snail or a Mini Glue Dot and then attach your flower to your card with a Mini Glue Dot. Now you can attach your Vintage Faceted Button with a Mini Glue Dot as well. If you wish to color your button first, you may do so with your Blendabilities! Then I colored a pearl with my Blendabilities and placed that in the center of the button! Don’t you just love all the things and way you can color with your Blendabilities! LOVE IT!!! Super cute and a great gift to give!

I hope you enjoyed this technique and try it at home!!! Let me know what you think or how yours came out in the comment below!

Gift Box Punch Board!!!

Posted on

Eeeee This Gift Box Punch Board is sooooo much fun and makes super cute boxes! Okay, it doesn’t make them on it’s own, I use it to make them. Just thought I needed to put that disclaimer out there. 🙂 Today the Holiday Mini Catalog is LIVE which means you can now start ordering from it!!! WOOT WOOT!

Gift Box Punch Board, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Adorable little boxes!!!! Each of the boxes pictured above were created with the Gift Box Punch Board. The board has all the score lines for you to create, a stylus right there for you, and a punch for all of your notches and rounding! It also has a wonderful grid printed right on there showing you the Box Size, Starting Cardstock Size, Starting Line, and Diagonal Line! Everything you need minus the cardstock is right on the board! I love that! The sizing goes from 6″ x 6″ to 12″ x 12″ for your starting cardstock. Of course, you can also use Designer Series Paper too but be sure to press lightly as the DSP is a thinner style of paper! Be sure to decorate your box before scoring or before assembly! 🙂 I have already made that mistake…..about 5 times I think!

Of course, I created a Video Tutorial for you to see this amazing tool in action!!! Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you like it and want to see more videos! Don’t forget to subscribe to my Channel so you don’t miss out on any future videos!

I will be posting a lot more amazing Holiday Mini Catalog samples in all the weeks so come! So many amazing new products!

Happily Ever After, Big News, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is just a fabulous card to top off any wedding gift or even for an Anniversary! I just love the greeting and I love the amazing elegant look – very Tiffany’s look! Oh how I am loving that look lately with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and even the brighter Bermuda Bay. This amazing greeting is in the Big News Stamp Set which I LOVE! You can see more samples here, here and here! It just the perfect greetings and images! I stamped that in Pool Party and then brushed the edges with my Sponge Daubers and attached that to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (love)! I used my Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder to get that gorgeous background and added some Whisper White Organza Ribbon to top it off! The one ribbon end fell just so perfectly so I “made” the other end do the same with a little adhesive help! 🙂 Can’t wait to use this card for a newlywed couple or a couple who has been married for many many years!
