Wishing You Well!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! I hope you had an amazing weekend! I sure did! Lots of family time and a little bit of relaxing time….that’s my kind of weekend! 🙂 What about you??? Let me know your perfect weekend plans in the comments below!!! Then we can get to this Wishing You Well Fall Card!

wishing you well, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is quick and simple to create. You can get 9 of these from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ designer paper! Add a different greeting for the occasion and it’s perfect all Fall long!

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Next, I took a piece of Very Vanilla (4″ x 5-1/4″) and layered on some of the Come To Gather Designer Paper (4″ x 4″). On the lower portion, I stamped the greeting from the Gather Together Stamp Set. The greeting was stamped in Cajun Craze Ink. Then I took some of the Come To Gather Satin Ribbon and tied it around when the designer paper ended. This gives a smoother transition from designer paper to solid cardstock. Add this to the card front and you are all set!

I will admit that this satin ribbon is rather wide and therefore makes a thick knot. Normally I’m not a fan of such a chunky embellishment and press on it a little to soft/flatten it and you are golden! You could always use twine in the Come to Gather Ribbon Pack or just place a strip of the satin ribbon across and not tie it. It’s all up to you!!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Fall! I’m wishing you well! 🙂 Check out more samples using these products here and here!

What Do You Stamp With When Coloring???

Posted on

Today, I have another one of Laura’s Quick Tips to share with you! This came from a question I got from my Facebook Page. The question was what do you stamp with when coloring??

What Do You Stamp With, www.LaurasStampPad.com

My answer this question is Basic Gray! That is what I prefer to use when I am coloring with Stampin’ Blends or Watercoloring. I find that Basic Gray has a soft subtle look verses a bold black look. This is just my opinion so you can use what you would like. Check out these photos to see both options! Let me know which you prefer in the comments below!

Warmth & Love!!!

That’s what we all need this time of year – warmth & love! Am I right??? Well I hope this card brings it to all of you!!!

warmth & love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m so in love with the Christmastime is Here Suite. All of the amazing products are used in this card. The Stamps, coordinating Framelits, Gold Ribbon, Designer Paper, and Gold Enamel Embellishments are all part of it!

Here I started with a Whisper White card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Then I layered on a piece of the Christmastime is Here Designer Series Paper (4″ x 4″). This means that you can get 9 cards from 1 sheet of the paper. Next, I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler at the top from the Christmas Rose Stamp Set and tied some of the ribbon around the card front.

Red Roses, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the roses, I stamped them in Basic Gray and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, Soft Suede and Old Olive were the colors I used! After die cutting it out, I added it to the card front and just trimmed off the part hanging over. To finish it off, I added some of the Gold Glittered Enamel Embellishments! STUNNING!!!

Be sure to check out this post and this one for more on this amazing bundle full of warmth & love. It is while supplies last so don’t delay. Click the supply list below to get yours today!

Christmas Roses!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! Today’s technique is a bit tricky…..stamping or coloring! Can you guess which one I did on these Christmas Roses?? Which one do you prefer??

Christmas Roses, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I am just loving the Christmas Roses Stamp Set that just came out this month! The image is stunning and so fun to color! The card above is actually colored rather than stamped with all of the coordinating images. While stamping was easy to do as the images are photopolymer, I found coloring to be more fun!

This card was created super quickly as I just stamped in the image in Basic Gray and then colored it with Stampin’ Blends. Next, I die cut it with the coordinating Roses Dies. After that, I added it to the card. The card base is Mossy Meadow with a piece of the Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper!!! While the Suite has a lot of gold in it, I decided to branch out and use some silver for the card.

Let’s Do This Together!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! Happy November!!! Don’t panic the holidays are still “around the corner”…..at least that’s what I keep saying to myself to so I don’t panic. Everything is better when you have a friend with you!!! So let’s do this together and we will be golden!!! We got this!

Let's Do This Together, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Is this not the best greeting ever???? I love it! It’s so true and perfect! This card is perfect for the just because, the friend who is going through a rough time (cough cough being a mom) 🙂 , or just any day these next couple of months as we tackle the holidays! I think I am going to give it to a friend of mine who just had a baby! Going through that with a friend who can cheer you on the days you think you can’t take another poopy diaper or celebrate with you that they finally slept for X amount of hours. That makes life so much better! Am I right?!?!

This card was super simple because I used the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack and Envelope Pack. You may look at these and think they are for scrapbooking only but no no no. I, too, thought that same way so I would get a pack here and there and save it for my scrapbooking. Now I use them for card making and it is magical. Quick and simple beautiful cards. Some of the cards have greetings on them and they are fabulous. Others have an open area that you can stamp a greeting into! They are perfect! The one above uses the stamp from Good Morning Magnolia!

You are Loved, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You will notice that the one up top is a larger card that covers up the silver foil frame. This card here uses a smaller card and it shows off that fabulous foil! Oh so beautiful and simple! I love it! Check out the supplies listed below so you can create quick and simple cards to have on hand! For more fun samples using the Magnolia Suite, click here!

Happy November 1st! I still can’t believe it myself. What freaks me out more is the title of this post and how Christmas is around the CORNER….not here yet. 🙂 BUT Stampin’ Up is releasing a special Christmastime is Here Bundle!!!

Apple of My Eye!!!

Posted on

Happy Wednesday!!! This card is perfect for teachers, get well, and so much more. After all, you could send it to anyone as the apple of my eye!!!

Apple of My Eye, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This super cute card had fun fold to it as well. The green center piece with the apple opens up and then a little red flap opens down! There are little greetings with each flap too! Thank you to Deb Snyder for the inspiration for this fabulous card!

I started with a piece of Real Red measuring 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and I scored it at 5-1/2″. This creates the little flap on the bottom that folds up. Next, I took a piece of Mint Macaron measuring 9″ x 3-1/4″ and folded it in half at 4-1/2″. The front flap of this piece was then embossed with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. Then I added this to the inside of the red card base. I find that Tear & Tape is best because it has a nice strong hold for a flap that is going to be pulled on a lot.

A+ Teacher, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Next, I create the fun half apple and greeting using the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set and coordinating Apple Builder Punch! For the greeting, I used the Timeless Label Punch! The apple was colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. Be sure that this piece is positioned underneath the Mint Macaron flap.

For the front of the card, I created the apple by adding some of the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper to a strip of Real Red cardstock. Then I stamped the apple over the top of this and punched it out. That is how you get the perfect half and half apple. The stem was done in Soft Suede and the leaf in Mint Macaron. Then to seal the overlap of paper on the apple, I added a mini strip of Mint Macaron Ribbon. The mini bow was then created with the Fork Bow Technique! This was all added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals! So fun and fabulous!!!

If you would like to make this amazing card, check out the supplies listed below! Don’t forget that the Free Stamp Set of the Month is your choice between Day of Thanks and Perfectly Plaid! If you would like to see more samples using the Harvest Hellos Bundle, click here.

Technique Tuesday – Double Fold!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! It’s been a month since we closed on the house and I think FINALLY I’m starting to get back into a routine/groove. Maybe?!?!?! Either way, I have a fabulous double fold technique to share with you today that is super cute!!!

Double Fold, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card uses the Come to Gather Suite from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I am super loving the blues and greens this season. It’s a nice change from the typical reds, oranges, and yellows.

September 2019 Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! The September 2019 Paper Pumpkin saves the day! I was able to put these together so quickly for Halloween treats. Still shooting for Auntie of the year with treats for my nieces and nephews! 🙂

September 2019 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I love that these boxes are big enough to hold regular candy but small enough not to break the bank! Candy is so expensive it seems. After assembling the boxes, I added the little tags. I didn’t stamp on the background like the instructions said because I thought that wasn’t necessary! They are still super cute!

Skeleton Treat Boxes, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I did go super simple for the kid’s treat boxes because after all we know they just want the treats! Using the die cut skeletons from the kit, I added one so the side of the box.

There are so many extras in the September 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit to create the treat boxes, cards, and so much more! I love that Paper Pumpkin makes holidays simple and I have plenty of goodies for other projects too!
