Polka Dot Paradise!!!

I know some of these items are retired but I still have a few samples I just have to share with you because they are so cute! You can always swap out the Designer Series Paper and I know many of you might have this paper and would love to see ways it is used! I love this card!

I started with a Cucumber Crush card base and layered a piece of the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″). Then I cut another piece of that same paper into a 4″ x 1-1/2″ (using the back side) and layered it onto Silver Foil Paper (4″ x 2″). This worked out perfectly because then I didn’t have to pick which side of the Designer Paper I wanted to hide, I got to show off both sides! I layered this piece onto the card front. For the greeting, I used the Tin of Cards Stamp Set and stamped the greeting 3 times without re-inking it. That gives that fading look. I punched out the greeting with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch and layered it only a Cucumber Crush Scallop Circle Punch. You can always use your favorite punch or use the NEW Layering Circles Framelits which includes circles and scallop circles! I added the greeting to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

May 2016 Paper Pumpkin – Many Manly Occasions!

Look at these amazing Man Cards??? You all know I struggle with Man Cards because I love Pink and Flowers and Bling. The May 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Many Manly Occasions is perfect! The stamp set had lots of greetings for upcoming occasions like Father’s Day and Birthday. It also had lots of name stamps like Dad, Grandpa, Son, Brother, etc. Of course the timing was perfect with Father’s Day around the corner. I made enough of those for everyone and then I made the rest into Birthday cards!

All you had to do for these cards is add the Happy greeting which came in a scroll font and a block font and stamp the rest of the greeting (Father’s Day, Birthday, Name, decoration). I used the stars because they looked fun and manly. There was also a candle, arrow, cake, and hearts. These little images are perfect for the card or decorating the envelope. Once it is all stamped you can add the Pumpkin Pie corrugated background to the inside of the card. It was really easy to go and created a fun and textured look.

This is the block letter font for the Happy! You will also notice that there was 2 styles of the card base. One is like the above – rectangles with a straight greeting bar and the other is a diagonal greeting bar with triangles cut out!

The kit also came with Pool Party Epoxy Stars but I didn’t use them on these cards! I just liked them as is and so I thought I would save them for a different project!

Between my husband and I, we only have one Grandpa left. I always make sure to send cards for every occasion! 🙂

As always, these Paper Pumpkin Kits come with plenty of goodies. I was able to create these 2 cards with the leftovers. I added the Epoxy Stars to these. I even had to add some to the inside of the one card because I got an ink smudge in there. Opps! 🙂 Cute, simple and fabulous!

Live. Laugh. Love.

I love this stamp because it’s so fabulous and a great way to live your life – Live, Laugh, Love!!! Get out that fancy china and use it! Buy some fresh flowers to enjoy! Go swing at the park and see how high you can go! Dance in the rain! Eat that second piece of cake! Laugh till it hurts! Live life to the fullest and who cares what others think! 🙂

For this card, I started with a Very Vanilla card base and then added a piece of the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack (4″ x 5-1/4″). There are so many beautiful images to pick from, I truly had a hard time! For the greeting, I die cut one of the Lots of Labels Framelits in Very Vanilla and stamped Live Laugh Love in Emerald Envy. The greeting is from the New Layering Love Stamp Set! I wanted the greeting to POP a little so I brushed the edges with a Sponge Dauber and some Peekaboo Peach Ink. I added the greeting to my card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Here is another one with the same concept. I used a different piece of Designer Paper from the Playful Palette Stack and a different greeting from the Layering Love Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting in Peekaboo Peach and brushed the edges with Sweet Sugarplum. These are all part of the New In-Colors! Love it!

What A Beautiful Blessing You Are To Me!!!

I am loving the NEW Sitting Here Stamp Set and you all know I love the Rose Wonder Stamp Set! I paired them together and created this amazing card! It is so peaceful and perfect!

I started with a Dapper Denim (New In-Color) card base! Then I took a piece Whisper White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″ and layered it onto the front. I used Crumb Cake for the main focal point measuring 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. I stamped the swing and bird from the Sitting Here Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink! For the greeting, I stamped it from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set in Dapper Denim onto scrap Whisper White. I punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I punched out a second one in Dapper Denim, cut it in half and added one half to the top and the other to the bottom. Check out this video tutorial on that! I looped some Linen Thread and adhered it to the back with Stampin’ Dimensionals! Love it!

This card would be perfect for any occasion. It is great for dropping a card in the mail to someone special!

Technique Tuesday – Ombre Butterfly!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! You know what that means! I have a fabulous technique to share with you today. Creating an ombre butterfly, adding some splatters to your card and adding a hint of glitter with Wink of Stella! I love it all!!

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Butterflies Thinlits, Gold Metallic Thread, Wink of Stella, Aqua Painter

So remember last week when we die cut the white butterfly out for that beautiful card? Today we are using that white butterfly that was created with the Butterflies Thinlits! Using your Aqua Painter, you will color the butterfly with Watermelon Wonder. I started in the middle and worked my way to the tips of the wings. I got this amazing ombre look and LOVE IT!!! Just remember that each time you grab some ink, start in the middle and work your way out! Then I brushed the butterfly with the Wink Of Stella for that perfect shine! For the card, I used Tip Top Taupe for the base and added a layer of Mint Macaron (4″ x 5-1/4″). Then I took a piece of Whisper White (3-3/4″ x 5″) and added the splatter. I did this by squeezing the Aqua Painter a bit (just a bit) and picked up some Tip Top Taupe. I tapped the pen against my finger so it would splatter on the card. This is one of those techniques that isn’t going to be perfect. If you think you want a little more or some in a specific spot, don’t do it! 🙂 It might end up dripping too much water or just never hitting that spot. After all it is suppose to look messy! After your splatters, you are ready to add your washi tape. I used the It’s My Party Washi Tape and added some on the top left and bottom right. Then I stamped the greeting from the Greatest Greetings Stamp Set in Tip Top Taupe. Now you can add this piece to your card base. For the butterfly, I added Mini Glue Dots to the back down the middle. I wrapped some Gold Metallic Thread around 4 fingers about 10-15 times (up to you as to how much you want). I slide the thread off my fingers and twisted it in the middle into an 8 and then placed it on the Mini Glue Dots. You can add more Mini Glue Dots to the top of the thread if you need to or just add the butterfly like that to your card! LOVE IT!

Spring Pastels!!!

Happy Memorial Day! I thought I would do a quick and simple, fun card this morning before enjoying the day with family!!!

For this card, I started with a Whisper White card base and layered a piece of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (5-1/4″ x 4″) on top. I love these pastel colors for a clean and fresh look! Then I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and stamped the greeting from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set in Mint Macaron. The flowers all came from the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set and I used Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Lost Lagoon Inks. I stamped the outline in full strength and then I stamped the centers after stamping off once. I layered this piece onto Blushing Bride measuring 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. I added this main focal piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals because I love them and wanted to add a little bit of texture! Love it!

This card is great for many different occasions – Wedding, Sympathy, Birthday and even baby! I love a simple flower card because of that. What occasion would you use this card for? Let me know in the comments below!

Fast Friday Cards!!!

Happy Friday everyone! It’s finally here! It’s a Holiday Weekend! Ain’t nobody got time for detailed stamping today! Let’s whip up a few cards and then enjoy the weekend!!! I created these cards with a little bit of Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper and the Tin of Cards Stamp Set! Super Simple!

I started with some Whisper White card bases measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Now for the cutting of the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper, I did each one in a different size just to play with it. Just Because is 3-1/2″ x 3″ and then I cut the bottom 1/2″ off and flipped it over. Happy Wedding is 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and then I cut the bottom 1″ off and flipped it over. Hello Baby is 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and I cut the bottom 1/2″ off and flipped it over. They all look fabulous so this just means use what ever scraps you have laying around and have fun with it. I adhered the paper to the middle of the card or a smidge up so I had room for the greeting on the bottom (unlike the one below).

Since I only had room at the bottom for the cute little scroll image from the Tin of Card Stamp Set, I stamped the greeting on a scrap piece of white cardstock, ripped both ends, and placed it on the card! I did all of the stamping in Basic Black which also made these cards easy!

You can whip up all of these cards in a matter of minutes and with a great greeting set like Tin of Cards, you have one for every occasion!!!

Butterfly Cut Out!!!

I am loving this butterfly cut out look! It’s so elegant and amazing! That bling just makes it so much more fabulous as well! 🙂

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″! Then I took a piece of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and die cut out the butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits. I did my diagonal because butterflies are always on the move and I knew I wouldn’t get it perfectly centered! TIP: Save the white butterfly that you die cut out for another project that I’ll be posting on Tuesday! Now you will run the piece of cardstock with the die cut butterfly through the Big Shot in the Fluttering Embossing Folder. Now you have your base. You will want to adhere your piece of cardstock to the back of this piece covering the Butterfly hole. I used Hello Honey (2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″) but you can pick any color or let the Blackberry Bliss shine through and then do a Hello Honey butterfly. It is all up to you! Once you have your colored cardstock on the back, you can adhere it to your card base! Then I die cut a Blackberry Bliss butterfly with the Butterflies Thinlit and placed it right in the butterfly spot on the card. I only placed Mini Glue Dots down the center of the butterfly so the wings could pop up! Then I added a string of Rhinestones but I did Pearls on another one and that looked fabulous too! For the greeting, I took a piece of Hello Honey measuring 4″ x 1-3/4″ and stamped the greeting from the Crazy About You Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss! Then I added it to my card front and tied some Whisper White Satin Stitched Ribbon around the card front between the greetings. When I was creating this card, I thought it was just stunning and then I added the greeting and I wasn’t as impressed. I didn’t really know what it was. At the stamp class where everyone made this card, they all loved it but mixed up the greetings. Some said “You Amaze Me. Happy Graduation.” and others said “Happy Birthday. You Amaze Me.” I loved how it turned out. I think I just don’t like the same greeting twice like I did on my card. Either way, I think it is stunning and you could do orange and yellow or black and orange or just about any color combination you wish! Love it!

I want to ride my Bicycle!!!

Every time I get out my bike, I sing the song, “I want to ride my Bicycle” by Queen! Anyone else??? No, just me? Every since I was a kid, summer and riding bikes just go hand in hand! This cute little card just screams summer to me!!!

I started with a Melon Mambo card base and added a piece of the It’ My Party Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 3″ (that’s 12 pieces in 1 sheet). Then I took a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock measuring 5-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ and punched the banner tips with the Banner Triple Punch. I ran it through the Big Shot in the Zig Zag Embossing Folder! I added the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, of course! 🙂 For the focal point, I stamped the bicycle from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White scrap paper. Then I punched it out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch before stamping the flowers. I wanted to see where the bottom was and how much room I had before stamping the flowers. I stamped the stems in Mint Macaron and the flowers in Crushed Curry! I added the oval to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well! The greeting was stamped in Tip Top Taupe and it is also from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set! Perfect card to send to a friend just because! I love it! I finished off the card with a few It’s My Party Enamel Dots!
